Welcome back Captain Cragen! This episode brings back a lot of characters from the past, to help a daughter overturn her father's case, who she accused of rapping her 17 years old. The victim was 6 years old when her father went to jail. She now claims that her mother pressured her into saying that she was rapped by her father.
When the victim asked Reverend Curtis Scott if he could contact the lawyer who helps out criminals that have been wrongly accused. He asked Bayard Ellis if he could take this case. Bayard goes to Detective Benson asking her if she could look into the cold case, she agrees.
When they find out who was the lead officer for the case, the only person that was around then was Captain Cragen. So when Cragen came into the squad room he mentions that the lead officer is now retired but he later shows up claiming that the victim is lying and she was in fact raped by her father. There wasn't any real evidence that proved the rape, only reason her father was found guilty was because of a scared, 6 year old girl who was forced to testify.
The detectives work together to bring out the truth. But with a case this old it's very hard to find out what really happened. Will the detectives find out that her father has been telling the truth about his innocents. Or was she really raped and her father has convinced her that she wasn't. That's all you're going to get, you'll just have to watch the episode to see what happens.
Besides the case, baby Noah gets baptised and we get to hear about the Captain's trip.
