ReplyDeleteI assumed it was Coulson when I saw the movie, it would make sense that the SHIELD we saw in AOU is the same SHIELD as Coulson's rather than yet another SHIELD!

ReplyDeleteI don't even really want to see Age of Ultron (it doesn't look very good at all); but I know I will eventually watch it--probably in theaters. But what to do about watching SHIELD tonight? I bet if I didn't read the SHIELD question in article I would not have even known that this episode indeed relates to how the movie ends as I do not read up on SHIELD or the Marvel movies [at all really] like I do for OUAT. Sigh.... :l

I'm honestly considering just dropping the show, I've no interest in seeing AOU in the cinema and I'm not invested in AOS enough to read up and spoil the movie for myself, not a fan of the tie-in episodes we've had int he past either.

ReplyDeleteUmm. I still hate Bonnie. Just want to point that out. So SGU isn't the only one. I've never liked Bonnie. Ever. Not since the beginning of season 1. I've given her cred over the years but that's pretty much it. If she died iI wouldn't care at all. Just saying. So not "everyone is finally liking Bonnie".

ReplyDeleteI actually did quit SHIELD once or twice--I think like during the second half of the first season and/or maybe in the middle of the first half of the second season. I don't even remember--all I know is I picked it back up for some reason. It got better when it incorporated the fall of SHIELD--the TWS stuff. I always joke it is my favorite show only because it cannot disappoint me because I literally have no expectations for it.

ReplyDeleteShe may be doing something for herself but I got such a psycho vibe off her, it annoys me as well that she was so friendly with Damon after everything he's done and she seems to have forgiven him, who never asked for forgiveness and screwed up over and over, yet Kai actually had a mental illness and changed, asked for forgiveness and got stabbed for it. The whole thing is probably my least favourite story in the history of TVD. I've never had any opinion on her up to now, mainly because she was only used for 5 seconds and forgotten about, but I absolutely despise her now. And imo the best thing she could do for herself is snap at her friends for not being there for her properly. Btw if this post comes off as kind of hostile I didn't mean it to :P

ReplyDeleteThe Avengers destroyed several Hydra facilities looking for the Scepter, but didn't find it. Coulson gave them the exact location.
ReplyDeleteMarvel movies will always be designed to be able to stand on their own and not be overly reliant on us having to watch even previous movies, but expect them to leave enough threads for other MCU properties like Agents of SHIELD to expand on them.
Since he gutted his sister & Slaughtered almost his entire family,i'd still hate him with all my heart even if becomes a freakin' hermit/saint in his later life!I hope Bonnie kills him for good in the finale.Fingers crossed!

ReplyDeleteYeahI really feel the connections now with AOU than before (because The Winter Soldier affected the show on so many level but now it goes on both ways, if you konow what I mean, like 2x19 affected Age Of Ultron and now its AOU who's affecting the show), thanks I can put things in perspective now.

ReplyDeleteThe first season was all over the place for me. I always think back to 1x09--it felt like an episode of Supernatural (a show I do not watch)--it was so bizarre. And I think an episode or two after that might have been when I dropped it the first time. Then, they just abruptly (at least for me) changed the direction of the show mid-season with the Hydra stuff. It's almost like the opposite of OUAT: first seasons were somewhat cohesive, now they are divided into separate arcs whereas I think SHIELD is becoming more cohesive within the seasons.
ReplyDeleteI started watching it initially because Coulson was my favorite character in the Avengers; I like his relationship with Skye. I also love to hate Ward. (I wish Skye would have "aimed for the face".) But, again, other than that, I'm not invested at all.
Kai was the reason I went back to the show and I'm glad I did since the show in general improved a lot. I hope Cordon is good because I'd like to see him in something else.

ReplyDeleteBut that doesn't mean he knows that it was Shield that was behind the creation of it. Think about it, Fury purposefully didn't say "Shield is back with a Helicarrier", it was "friends". I think the Avengers are still blaming Shield for Hydra. Hill didn't exactly tell them the source of the Intel for example.

ReplyDeleteMy conflict: I loved the first Avengers movie and the Captain America movies; I hate the Iron Man movies. Based upon the content reviews, this movie looks as if is skews in the direction of the Iron Man films with its (albeit considerably mild) lewdness, gore, and profanity. Apparently, the first word uttered on screen is s--- and that just really bugs me. Reading about how it becomes a running joke throughout the rest of the film gives me a sense that maybe the creators are just callous, cynical, and kind of obnoxious.
ReplyDeleteThose three descriptors flow into my other conflict. My other hesitation is based on the trailers I have seen where it looks like it will be two long hours of CGI robot battles and mass destruction. It doesn't look fun, it just looks bleak. If the movie has any heart, it hasn't come off that way in the advertising. But as I said I will definitely see it eventually and most likely I will see it in theaters--I am just not happy about it. Hopefully, I'll be proven wrong in my assumptions.

I know he has done a lot of shit ..but even though he did kill a pregnant woman I don't believe he killed kids.. like Kai did. Besides.. Damon would never be capable of killing Stefan. Kai killed his siblings without even blinking
