8. Connor and Oliver’s relationship — and that HIV bomb — will be a significant part of season two.
Absent from the panel was breakout star Jack Falahee (Connor Walsh), whose relationship with beau Oliver (Conrad Ricamora) featured a finale bombshell when Oliver tested positive for HIV.
“It’s our goal to treat that in a way that’s real and gives representation to a whole community of people that haven’t been on network TV in a while,” said Nowalk, who noted that producers are hoping to work with GLAAD to get the story right. “Oliver and Connor are very important to me and they have a huge fan base. Their relationship will play a big part in season two.”
9. Someone new is coming to town for season two.
Nowalk was careful not to spoil too much but did add one final tease for the show’s second season: “We’ll meet a new character that figures prominently into Annalise’s life.”
10. The structure of the series will likely remain the same.
“There’s no rules to our show, which is great," Nowalk said. "We can flash back, we can flash forward, we can just tell a story linearly. I want to keep it fresh."

Did we ever find out what happened to Annalise's father, it could be him. Or maybe an ex-boyfriend/husband who she told no one about.
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait for season 2 and this all sounds amazing! This show is truely brilliant!!!
ReplyDeleteSeptember needs to come fast
One thing that makes this show so excellent is that they can have brilliant flash forwards but even after the quality remains the same. Therefore, I do hope they have flash forwards again
ReplyDeleteMaybe a son?
ReplyDelete"Oliver and Connor are very important to me and they have a huge fan base. Their relationship will play a big part in season two."-Music to my ears.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for Season 2!I have full faith in them.
I really really really love Oliver and connar together! Such an excellent gay couple
ReplyDeleteI'm going with her father as well.
ReplyDeleteSoooo who should play Annalise's father ?
I hope Elliot Knight returns! He had gotten more good looking from the last time I saw him.
ReplyDeleteWhile I too found the flashforwards really engaging and working really well within the show, I have no idea what they could possibly flash forward to in season 2. If anything, flashbacks to the night of Rebecca's murder seems more likely.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if Marcia Gay Harden will return at all? Personally I thought she was the best foil for Keating.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering that too, especially because she was also present at the panel. But she also has her new series Code Black coming up, so she might not be able to guest star or CBS may not allow her to.
ReplyDeleteJoe Morton maybe? He's a Shondaland actor and has won an Emmy for Scandal.
ReplyDeleteBoth shows are produced by ABC so it won't be that difficult, but I don't see her returning. I think her story is done.
ReplyDeleteI don't think so.
ReplyDeleteI am really hoping (perhaps against hope) that How To Get Away With Murder will be as enticing if not more than the first season. A lot of times dramas take a sophomore slump either trying too hard by doing too many unnecessary things (Sleepy Hollow, OUAT), or take the storyline in a new, different, and creatively divisive direction (Revenge) and some have so little semblance to the first season. I hope Peter Norwalk can continue the unique trend of Shonda Rhimes shows having a sophomore "bump" where the 2nd season is even better than the first (Grey's, Scandal).
ReplyDeleteI don't watch Scandal but GA's 1st season was perfect.Season 2 was pretty damn good but not like Season 1 IMO.
ReplyDeleteIs a TGIT crossover too much to ask? I know some of the actors appeared in the three shows as different characters like Bonnie in HTGAWM is Amanda in Scandal who got murdered, but if we just ignore it, is it possible?
ReplyDeleteNo, she is a series regular in Code Black
ReplyDeleteTrue but it could be leading up to sth as well. You never know ;)
ReplyDeleteA fourth murder night? We already have three (Sam, Lila, Rebecca) so I'm not sure how many more they can have. If they continue like that, in a few seasons there won't be any series regulars left.
ReplyDeleteI pray every Thursday to that!
ReplyDeleteThis show is honestly one of the best shows on tv. It's well written, great acting, and so many twist I love this show.
ReplyDeleteLol, you are completely right
ReplyDeleteIt's one of the best shows I've ever seen. Do you people think there's a slight chance for it to be nominated in an Emmy or GG for Best drama or something like that? Besides Viola Davis acting.
ReplyDeleteI wish it would! It deserves it!
ReplyDeleteI really hope S2 is as good as S1 much shows looses some steam going for the second ride but im sure they will keep things inetresting. I hope we see more backstory on Fran and Bonnie, how they came to work with Annalise and how fucked up are they.
ReplyDeleteYeah i Would like to know more about the origin of Frank. Since he turned out to be the murderer, he should become more interesting now
ReplyDeleteSounds great. I love this show. It always keeps me on the edge of my seat with its amazing/shocking cliffhangers!
ReplyDeleteAgreed
ReplyDeleteI'm going with an ex that fathered wes.....then she put him up for adoption.
ReplyDeleteLove this show ♥♥♥I Can't wait for S2
ReplyDeleteThis show is so amazing, I can't wait to have it back. I have no idea how they will keep up the level of S1 but I trust them enough to do it!
ReplyDeleteSeason 1 was good but I personally preferred Season 2 . The characters got more developed and came into their own, they had the first big disaster episodes, and I personally love some of the characters introduced like Denny, Callie, Mark and, especially, Addison.
ReplyDeleteThat's the problem I have in imagining longevity for this show. How can they possibly top the murder night flashforwards and the whole thing, really?
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what season 2 is going to look like. Maybe there will be more focus on the weekly courtroom cases, which were pretty great in season 1, but I doubt that. There are enough unresolved things from season 1 to solve next season, but after that, I have no idea what they will do. Storyline-wise, I can't imagine the show can run for seven seasons or so.
ReplyDeleteYes I agree with that. I've seen some sites suggesting that the group of students will be totally overhauled at some point. The idea is painful to me a bit because I love most of these characters very much and I think they have a lot to be explored, but I think it would help the show maybe in the long run to remain fresh. However, even if they do that (and that's a big if) I remain unsure as to how they will up the stakes for Annalise herself. I mean, the connection she forged with these group of students due to them killing off her husband simply cannot be replicated.
