The man who led Gotham‘s young Bruce Wayne to that batty cave will be sticking around for the aftermath.
TVLine has learned exclusively that Homeland and Newsroom vet Chris Chalk, who toward the very end of Gotham‘s freshman run made his debut as Wayne Enterprises junior exec Lucius Fox, has been promoted to series regular for Season 2.

This feels like something the show should be doing and exploring so i am good with it and happy about it.
ReplyDeleteHowever, i have to say that although i like all 3 promotions individually speaking, collectivelly they make me affraid. How will the show juggle all these characters when it already suffered from being disjointed this year? Maybe in addition to Fish they drop Barbara entirely and maybe we spend less time with the policr cases. But then i am not sure what harvey and leslie will do. And with the demise of all the mob players, it is not clear to me what Penguin will do either
they were regulars? barely noticed them in the show because they were never guven any stories. Nothing with Barbara constituted one, because that was more for Barbara. I only remember them mostly going after Gordon.
ReplyDeleteI have to assume that's coming. Keeping them on contract when they clearly have no interest in using them is just silly.
ReplyDeleteweird why shows do that, when it probably costs them money too. I've seen almost every show do this with little payout with one character or another. At least one or two characters on a handful shows every season.
ReplyDeleteWith Harvey and Fox joining.....I guess the Wayne murder conspiracy will continue as focus on season 2.....with subplot of Riddler/Penguins and the continue fight against corruption
ReplyDeleteThis show needs to become more serialized,PERIOD!
ReplyDeleteSounds interesting
ReplyDeleteIt needs a lot more than that. It needs serious fixing and writers who can actually implement comic book lore and Batman mythology beyond obvious easter eggs.
ReplyDeleteIMO Ben Mckenzie is completely miscast as Gordon.
ReplyDeleteActually have few problems with him. He's got Gordon's zeal. His drive and his inner strength and good.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree with this more.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be surprised if Erin (Barbara) does get bumped to a recurring/semi regular part in S2, and I doubt she'll make it alive to see a S3 (if the show makes it to one altogether BTW)
ReplyDeleteI'm quite happy with this addition actually! I really like Chris and Lucius is a very important character to Bruce's story so colour me excited. I just hope, much like with Dent's addition to the cast full time, they don't misuse and underutilize him.
