ReplyDeleteI think The CW is hoping that fans of Nikita will watch the series if it's picked up. Even though Nikita ended with low ratings, the show does have a loyal fan base and having a show with a similar feel will make fans watch.

ReplyDeleteI don't think they will-it's a half hour show so it'd have to be on Fri with WL & people would complain about that( like they did Messengers)& tbh it doesn't seem like Tales is Wonder Woman,Selection -where they actually redid the pilot.

ReplyDeleteThey need a male skewing show after the Flash/Arrow that has better retention. I hope they consider this for their development cycle this season.LOT has has potential to self start so I won't put after the Flash. I do wonder how Supergirl would've done if it were on CW.

ReplyDeleteYou're probably right. But I do expect The CW to heavily promote the show. Even if the characters aren't as popular as the Flash or Arrow, I still think the show will do very well.

ReplyDeleteI'd rather see the CW 'have a go' at the once discussed Halliwell brothers Wyatt and Chris spin-off ... with sister Melinda in the mix ... or even better ( IMHO ) a new Charmed One spin-off featuring Prudence Johnna, Parker{ or Patty as I wish she was called after her grandmother }, P. { or Penny after her great grandmother } Halliwell as well as their mother Phoebe and their father Coop.

I would love that but Maia's & bailee are too busy and seeing as CBS didn't go for their Charmed reboot and witch shows have bad luck latkey(Eastwick only lasted 13 episodes,Secret Curcle one season,Witches of East End only lasted two seasons) I don't think it'll happen

ReplyDeleteAs first I would push the cheerleaders age, cause honestly even CW grow out of High school drama. They've don it in all possible ways. Let them be College girls or something, no matter what we will barely see them in school.
Mmm I'd rather cw give pilot orders to other shows not this which was a bad pilot or another supernatural spinoff.

The article sounds like the pilot was terrible, no one wanted to take blame for it (thus, the CW told us wrong!), and now none of the people who created it in the first place will admit blame. Instead of saying they botched it badly, they are giving false hope that it could be alive in "some form".
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't wait around for it. There very likely isn't any network that would want to touch a project as terrible sounding as this in any form.
If anything gets a second look, it should be Tales From The Darkside.

Numerous people who saw it said that it was the worst pilot they saw in years. And no, there isn't an agenda there. It was their honest opinion from people who have the access and platform to give it.
ReplyDeleteI see no way it does better than the Flash. The Flash is one of the most iconic superheroes. I can see it doing slightly better than Arrow though.

ReplyDeleteI honestly think Containment would pair best with The 100, since they're both darker in tone than the usual shows on the CW. No way that will happen though. So I'd put Containment after the Flash and hope it holds more of its male viewers than iZombie does.

ReplyDeleteI think iZombie is gonna get a 3rd and therefore a 4th season. It just got a .6 in late May, with no lead in and without the New York market. That's pretty good.
I'm game with them giving it another go.
