Note: The pilot is still dead. But these were made available at the same as the other new show materials.
A fun trip to the mall for four cheerleaders from an elite Washington D.C. prep school is blown to pieces when a terrorist's bomb explodes, killing their queen bee, Kippy, and devastating the three survivors: intelligent, earnest Grace; sexy, confident Ursula; and sweet, charming Maddie. When they return to school, a mysterious and intriguing new history teacher, Mr. Stone, soon reveals his true identity to them. He is an undercover CIA operative, trying to hunt down the terrorists responsible for the mall bombing – and he wants their help. The girls are eager to avenge their loss and agree to the dangerous mission, even though it involves befriending a less popular classmate, the smart and snarky Fatima who has little patience for mean-girl attitude. But Grace, Ursula, and Maddie persist and convince Fatima to throw a wild party at her house: the foreign embassy that our cheerleaders need to infiltrate to complete their mission. With Mr. Stone calling the shots, Ursula, Grace, and Maddie must now risk their lives, and even their social status, in order to take down a deadly terrorist organization in the name of justice, freedom and, hopefully, extra credit.

This sounds so bad on every level.LOL!
ReplyDeleteWhat i would give to get my hands on that pilot!
Is the pilot DEAD dead or dead like Clementine was last year when ABC pondered ordering it well into the summer?
ReplyDeleteGod, my heart skipped a little, but for nothing
ReplyDeleteLead actor just got regular role on another show so sadly, i would say dead
ReplyDeleteDead dead as far as we know.
ReplyDeleteI am ashamed to say that I watched Barely Lethal as I liked the idea of The Red Room that Black Widow spoke of and was also shown in Agent Carter, anyway small
ReplyDeleteApart of me is just curious how the pilot episode is. I wish we could see pilot episodes like the networks .
ReplyDeleteToo bad for Marc Cherry, every year his project end up dead. TV Networks should have more faith in him, he only developped two shows : one was a huge hit and the other one a small success.
ReplyDeleteLol at that description. Glad to hear it's dead.
ReplyDeleteI WANT TO SEE THIS PILOT OUT OF PURE MORBOSITY...
ReplyDeleteThis ^
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like it'll be so bad and cheesy that it'll be good. They should shop to Disney, it sounds like a random concept they'd turn into a Disney Channel Movie.
"With Mr. Stone calling the shots, Ursula, Grace, and Maddie must now risk their lives, and even their social status, in order to take down a deadly terrorist organization in the name of justice, freedom and, hopefully, extra credit."Sounds like a fun dramedy if done right.
ReplyDeleteYea it definitely is, why are people excited for it?
ReplyDeleteTo see how bad it was.I sure would've liked to see it.LOL!
ReplyDeleteVery Totally Spies-esque indeed. Such a shame.
ReplyDeleteGrace is Sam, Ursula is Clover, and Maddie is Alex. Mr Stone is Jerry. :D
I thought that the photo was actually an old photo of CW's Hellcats. I agree with others that the photos look terrible. CW did the right thing on passing as it would have not likely worked on any network.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone has read any blind items about Marc Cherry, they make it obvious why a lot of networks are probably very hesitant to work with him.
ReplyDeleteI agree. It's one of those shows that sounds silly but execution could totally make it work...
ReplyDeleteI was and still am curious. I wish I could at least get a hold of the pilot... :(
It was one of the few CW pilots I was interested in honestly. It sounded like a lot of irreverent fun. Now it sounds even more appealing! A hot mess of irreverent fun!!
ReplyDeleteDamn, I was interested in this one.
ReplyDeleteUrsula, Grace, and Maddie must now risk their lives, and EVEN their social status
ReplyDeleteLMAO cause obviously your social status ins chool is more important than your life
somebody gotta release this pilot for god sake,. i wanna see how bad it is.
ReplyDeleteMarc Cherry has a tendency to pull off ideas that on paper wouldn't work. They also tend to develop into cult hits. Desperate Housewives in particular, now Devious Maids has its cult fanbase. He was also involved with The Golden Girls later into its run.
ReplyDeleteCbs should really change their CW development team. Find some more serious people. This sounds quite awful, CrExGf sounds like Emmy material compared to this.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds terrible.
ReplyDeleteI NEED TO SEE IT!
"...must now risk their lives, and EVEN their social status..." WTF?!
