For fans of incredibly well-coiffed werewolves, Disneyland really is the happiest place on earth. Earlier this afternoon Bitten star Laura Vandervoort appeared on a special edition CTV’s The Social taped on-location at the California theme park to announce that the popular horror/fantasy series has been renewed for a third gory season.
“We are extremely excited to be headed back into production for a third season and are so proud of our success on Space,” says the show’s Executive Producer J.B Sugar. Yeah, we’re pretty excited too…
…especially considering the cliff-hanger that the season two finale left us with. After the Pack finally defeated Aleister, it seemed as though their troubles were behind them—until teen witch Savannah had to go and have another one of her pesky visions. This one featured a blood-soaked Elena wandering through Stonehaven—as it burned. Obviously, we have to know what happens!
Season three is set to begin filming this summer/fall in Toronto and stars Vandervoort, Greyston Holt, Greg Bryk, Steve Lund, and Genelle Williams are all set to return. No word on the witches just yet but stay tuned for updates.

We MADE IT! (!!!!!!!)
ReplyDeleteHappy for the fans :-)
ReplyDeleteI loved season one, but I hated season two. I hope season three will be better. If they lose the witch focus and get back to concentrating on wolves and the pack, it would be better.
ReplyDeleteI'm the exact opposite. Season 1 was about 2 episodes too long and just got really tedious. The witches are freakin' fantastic and I hope they will continue to incorporate other supernatural beings from the other books in the Women of the Otherworld series. :) That idea and possibility is the only real reason I'm super stoked by this news.
ReplyDeleteIs this just for the Canada network or the SyFy network as well?
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the fans! Also happy, as I know a few peeps who get occassional work on the show...
ReplyDeleteSyfy probably won't announce that until later on in the year.
ReplyDeleteMoving it to 11pm on Friday nights doesn't give me much faith that they'll renew it.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the fans who are sticking with this show.
ReplyDeleteGood news :D
ReplyDeleteI don't recall them not acquiring additional seasons of a show after they've been in the habit of it (LG and Continuum for instance) and, assuming it's not too expensive I'd be shocked if they didn't air season 3 as well.
ReplyDeleteAs a fan of TVD, should I watch this series? I love Laura but I saw a random episode on SyFy and it kind of bored me, thinking of giving it a second chance from the beginning.
ReplyDeleteThat's very good news !!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, this show is awesome. They have werewolves and witches so far, the main character is a werewolf from the start. It's more graphic than vampire diaries for sure with blood, torture etc. but still enjoyable. The seasons are shorter so there are no wasted / plot-less episodes, they do have flashbacks of course but they tie into the story and side characters usually stick around more than one episode (until they die :P). It focuses on Elena but the other werewolves also have back stories that are explored. I definitely recommend this show!
ReplyDeleteYESSSSSS 3RD SEASONNN
ReplyDeleteI'm
ReplyDeleteIt was about time! I was starting to get worried.
ReplyDeleteYESSSSSSSSSS! Didn't like the witches and Logan dying. Hopefully Season 3 gets better !!
ReplyDeleteSo happy
ReplyDeleteBITTEN certainly is an adult show, no teenage drama like the TVD, so it is lacking its lightness but that doesn't mean it not good. Just totally different, but it is not comparable to TVD.
ReplyDeleteC'mon guys, this dog pack only hunts because of Laura Vandervoort's stunning good looks. Strictly low budget CanCon filler.
ReplyDeleteSyFy gets this show for pennies. I'm positive that SyFy will pick this up for air next year.
ReplyDeleteThis show has a very similar arrangement to Continuum. SyFy doesn't pay a dime to produce it, but just the licensing rights. Space is paying the bill in full. Because of this, it's pretty much a no-brainer that SyFy will pick it. It's cheap filler programing for the Spring.
ReplyDeleteGreat news! I have to wait for the seasons to post on Netflix so knowing there is another season on the way makes me even more excited for S2!
ReplyDeleteLove the show. Glad it got another season
ReplyDeleteLove the show, Nick is my favorite. Glad it got renewed. Love Clay and Elena and Paige and Nick. I am addicted to vampires and wearwolves
