    All the Ray hate makes me laugh. I like him. And this is coming from a former Chuck fan who hated Brandon Routh's face in S3. (don't judge me, I used to be a crazy shipper once)

    Ray is a quirky character, full of positivity, a hero in development - and BR has played him well.

    Why not? It makes sense that Arrow and Flash will be using parts of their early season episodes to set up the LOM launch, just as Arrow set up the Flash launch in 2013.

    The character of Ray Palmer isn't one I like much. In my opinion they mishandled him and I've never been able like him. So the sooner he leaves Arrow the better to me.

    Looks like his shrinking abilities will manifest themselves on LOM, probably sooner rather than later.

    I hope there is a "Justice League" (or pre "Justice League") type episode on one of the shows, or some epic three-show crossover. With the LOM premiere, there will be seven established costumed JLA'ers in the DC/CW universe, and at least five of them will be regular cast members on one of the three series.

    I like Ray. I think he'll do just fine on the spin off. I don't get the hate for him but to each their own. He's meant to be smart and fun. Not dark and broody.
    I'm not a fan of parts of the suit but they'll probably tweak it when the new show starts.

    NO it is not "all shipping related" Don't listen to Mac, he loves to think that cuz it makes him feel better. The dislike for Ray is split. For a lot of reasons. But since we've already discussed over and over and over and over and over again why we dislike him for w/e reasons. No one cares to keep stating it. At this point everyone's accepted that some like him and majority hate him. That's it.

    I don't even want to be IN this thread. But i can't go anywhere else right now. Candice did an interview, that i can't read. (read a little bit didn't like it though). Can't go to TVD as the pics consists of Finale related spoilers. so i'm stuck here for 54 minutes til The Originals starts. smh


    Ok i read the tv guide for tomorrow's episode and it sound very exciting! They revealed something that i didn't even think about! But my main question now is...they all know about Wells now. Even Eddie, do you think they'll be on high alert at every corner?? Do you think Eddie will tell Barry and Team Flash what Wells told him? Or do you think Eddie will keep it a secret and turn on Barry, and break it off with Iris? OR turn on Iris, yet still date her?

    (Yes i realize those were multiple questions as i tend to do that when excited)

    Ummm this site doesn't troll at all?? You get a few. But this site is very mature compared to others. But that doesn't mean fans on this site won't have disagreements. We actually have long talked out, extremely thorough discussions. On many subjects. It can go on for hours, days, or weeks. Sometimes months. So by you saying that you only "click photos", makes me think, that that means that you Choose not to interact with fans, b/c you think we're trolls, sooo if that is the case, (not saying it is) then your "legimate question" is moot.     I only read a couple of questions from Candice's interview and I didn't the TV guide spoiler so don't tell me what it is. Rationally they should be on high alert and I think they will. Don't know why would he keep that a secret. Do you think he'll double cross them? Why? They already know Eobard is related to Eddie, do you think they will treat him differently? Why would Eddie turn on Barry? What did Barry do? I think he will keep dating Iris, not sure if he'll turn on her. Again what did she do?

Like i looked at my actual tv guide on my screen. lol.....Eddie's not meant to be a "good guy" (he never was) Wells will easily manipulate him and he'll easily turn on them. They JUST found out Eddie's connection, so that means nothing right now. I have no doubt that they'll probably look at him a little different. Or at the very least stay on their toes.

    Yeah the first episodes in with Ray I thought 'Oh oh.. creepy stalker dude who is fixated on Felicity'. As episodes past hes motives changed but I always and still do get a bit of a creepy stalkerish vibe sometimes. Cept when he is on the Flash.. then he loses it completely and is a different person!

Joe working with The Flash behind his back, when he should've been working with his actual partner, (betrayal) Iris having deep seated feelings for Barry, (fear) Barry revealing himself to be The Flash,( blow to Eddie's ego) Eddie finding out, almost ruining his relationship with Iris, (lies) Joe not giving Eddie his blessing w/o giving a reason,(secrets) Eddie being incredibly naive thinking Joe would b/c he's his partner, after the many arguments they just finished having.(stupidity on his part) Then his proposal gets terribly ruined by his grandson, (total embarrassment) whom will fill Eddie in on his "life gone wrong", thus leaving Eddie to make some umm.."tough choices." Eddie is an easy target.

    I just hate the character.


    I find him incredibly annoying. I also hate how much of a doormat he is Re: Felicity but that may change once the Arrow writers no longer have their hands on him.

    Its an okay poster. ATOM symbol needs to be more visible on his helmet. Should I be worried about Barry? Also I hope they will darken his mask during action on his show.

    There are several reasons people here on this forum hates Ray. Its not all about shipping like mac says. He just like to blame everything wrong with Arrow on shippers. But I do agree some of the depth of the hate is coming from shipping and unfair comparison to Oliver. My stand on Ray is I really like him as a character but I really don't like what they have done with him this season (if that make sense). I will try to list some reasons people have given here for not liking Ray on this forum.


    1. Episode 1 and 2 where they gave Ray a stalking vibe especially when he bought the company Felicity worked in to force her to work with him. Ray was a goner with the fans from then on.


    2. Episode 5. When Ray came uninvited to Felicity's home. This combined with earlier scenes strengthened the stalker argument. But for me this episode turned to like Ray as it felt to me he is an self absorbed absent minded genius.


    3. Episode 7. Now in this episode Ray hate increased equally because of Ray and Felicity. And the kiss had nothing to do with it. The fact that he was working out half naked in the office and bribed Felicity with necklace and dress did not sit well with people. More than that Felicity acted very OOC and fickle with such gifts coupled with her nonchalance when Queen name was changed to Palmer technologies made people hate Ray and Ray/Felicity relationship even more. Personally for me as a Felicity fan I really disliked this episode because it painted her fickle and the romance was really badly done with the out of nowhere speech from Felicity and Oliver witnessing the kiss *rolls eyes*


    4. Stalker thing aside since they used Ray for 16 episodes only with Felicity and no one else sometimes it feels like he belongs to another show and not Arrow. I agree with this a little bit more interaction with other characters would have improved the character a lot


    5. Episode 17. Many people disliked everything about Ray's stand against Oliver and Felicity this episode. I thought it was a good stepping stone for Ray. But for some coupled with earlier dislike they hated him more after this.


    Apart from the above you will see exaggerated (imo) reasons like Ray pinged Felicity's phone twice, he does not respect her or value her intelligence, he likes to throw his money around and is arrogant, Ray likes to control Felicity arguments running around. I personally don't see them as valid. Episode 19 has done a lot to endear Ray to the audience with his scenes with Oliver. But a lot of damage was done because of careless writing for this character.


    I hope this answers your question. We the regulars in this forum (who does not have any life) has gone over all of this several times in depth without any resolution LOL. We all know where each other stand when it comes to Ray. Maybe that's why nobody answered you.
