ReplyDeleteOf course it is! I've been asking the same question since we saw the BTS photos of the Flash episode. How in the world did Oliver leave the league to go help Barry? It makes absolutely no sense, as well as Barry leaving Central City with everything that's happening there.

Yeah ... I'd probably live there if the rent was low enough. I mean, sure, the occasional disaster, but just don't live in the Glades and buy a panic room. You're fine. Jeez, it's not like it's Hellmouth that's going to cave in on itself or something. You just have to have some perspective. ReplyDeleteI think it was Berlanti who commented on CL. What he said was we will get to know how she returns by the spring/May. No one said they would explain it on Arrow. My guess is we will know about it once they air the 3 min teaser for the new show at the CW Upfronts.
As much as I agree with Oliver on the necessity for such actions actions he deserved it. Lying to him, kidnapping his wife in tront of his infant daughter without any explanation for his actions and using her as some kind of bargaining chip, for someone who prides himself on loyalty, and honour between friends that's wrong.
ReplyDeleteOliver deserved the punch. Yes I agree. But I am not sure Oliver deserves to be mistrusted for his actions from Diggle's side for an extended period of time. He had no other options. Anything else he does Ra's would have murdered everyone Oliver loved including baby Sara to teach him a lesson. I wish Oliver had to do more damage towards Diggle, like maim Lyla or something like that for this conflict between them going on to season 4 to make sense.

ReplyDeleteI think it was Marc. Berlanti is barely even asked about Arrow these days. In the last couple of months I remember only one EW interview with him. But maybe it was him, not even sure. But as far as I remember was that he said it will be revealed by the time Arrow S03 ends, insinuating it will be revealed within the episodes. But doesn't even matter now. We'll see the preview in 7 days and hopefully we'll know.

ReplyDeleteYeah I'm glad that didn't happen. Not really grilled with the idea of a moral hero maiming someone whom he loves to sell his cover. Particularly since that would be way to harmful to the group dynamic to the point where it would take at least half a season at best to recover. And with superhero stuff division gets old soon amongst a cast.

ReplyDeletePretty sure the Laurel and Quentin one will be done by the end of the season. Now Oliver and Lance. Because when your best friend on the planet, the man who was your best man, who has saved your life countless times and fought by side, who gave you purpose after you lost yours betrays in such a way as to kidnap and margin with your wife you can't see straight. For a man like Diggle, who cares deeply about family, and saw Oliver as his brother to betray the sanctity of their friendship by his own volition to fulfill the wishes of the madman who killed him and nearly his sister is incomprehensible. He used Diggle's humanity and love for his wife against him. No matter how well intentioned in the end that was that's terrible. And it wasn't even necessary. He wasn't ordered to do so, he could have tracked them or taken Felicity.But the main reason why he seems upset was quite frankly he betrayed his trust and used their friendship and that humanity and love he had with Lyla against him. Didn't warn him or tell him his plan, anything just let him think the worst and showed to Diggle that his friendship wasn't worth it, and if there's one thing Diggle proves more than anything it's trust and Oliver went out out his way to make it personal and convince the league of his ruthlessness. He might come around soon, but it'll take a lot of Arrowhead necklaces to do so.
ReplyDeleteI read somewhere recently just few days back that Quentin/Laurel rift might go to season 4. I don't remember where. May be its tumblr. So I don't know if it was authentic news. I hope that rift is put to death sooner and we won't have much of Lance family drama next season.
ReplyDeleteI agree to the fact that there was no need for him to take Lyla specifically to get Nyssa. He could have kidnapped Felicity or Laurel. Maybe he thought with Lyla's safety being compromised TA won't put up more struggle and thus their chances of getting hurt is diminished. Yes it was an ass holy thing to do but poor guy was in a tricky situation. I think John is more upset now because Oliver did not confide in him about his plans and went along with a mad man like Malcolm. Well, its heart breaking stuff. I hope they won't be on the odds for more of season 4 and it will all be resolved soon.

ReplyDeletewhile I liked season 1 a show can't stay the same forever if it did people would be complaining the inverse of how its the same and the characters never grow/change. Also, the show was always about the progression of Oliver Queen to becoming the Green Arrow and season 1 Oliver is a far away from that as you can get, if you are familiar with the comics, to show you that progression/change.

ReplyDeleteIt's pretty obvious Malcolm betraying Oliver was part of the plan. Then Barry(who Oliver contacted that same week when he went looking for a fake alpha omega to swamp in 1x22) helps them scape. Now after the Oliver/Malcolm plan, Ra's trusts Oliver 110% since he "killed" his friends. I think Oliver will tell Nyssa the plan that night, u know, when they're suppose to make babies.

ReplyDeleteOliver and Laurel are the most boring, toxic, chemistry-less and unbearable couple to grace our screens after Delena. Thank you but no. At least Delena has a fanbase, Lauriver is so bad that they don't even have a relevant number of fans.I'd be surprised if the writers ever went there again, and if they did, they wouldn't last or be portrayed in a good light, mainly because all the toxic history (lying, sleeping with her sister, etc.) and lack of chemistry. The divorce from the comics already happened on this show and it will ultimately stick, in my opinion.

I see this season a growing pains season. everyone had to go through all this crapola and come out the other side to get the characters where they need to be. while I do like Felicity, s1/2, you always can't have her being the same either, people grow up and at times its a sloppy process, I think she will be back to more 1/2 in s4.

ReplyDeleteOne of the writers, don't remember which said it, I read yesterday said that Flash 1x22 take place before Arrow 3x23. I can't find it now so it may be the reverse and take place before Arrow 3x22.

ReplyDeleteI've been wondering this, too. I don't know. Technically, the marriage would probably stand up anywhere in the world. Just because it's a different culture and country doesn't make it illegal. But I'm guessing he will part ways with Nyssa and we'll probably never hear of it again after that.
ReplyDeleteAny "happy ending" after this past episode is going to feel rushed and undeserved. I'm so here for Digg punching Oliver in the face. He deserves it after the crap he's pulled the past couple of weeks. Doesn't Oliver realize by now that by trying to solve everything by himself, he just makes things 1000x worse? You would've thought after the Roy episode where he even said that he needs to accept help that he would've, I don't know, accepted help from the people he's supposed to love and trust. This is not character development, this is character regression and I'm not here for that. The finale better f***ing wow me or Arrow is more than likely going on my done with this crap list of TV shows.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping that as well, it has not been stated if Katrina (Nyssa) will be a regular or recurring character next season. That would let us know for sure, but I am NOT ok with this wedding nonsense. Still not sure about MG's comment "a wedding and a marriage" ment.
ReplyDeleteI really can't imagine it's legally binding. I mean a group of assassins stood in a room and watched two people who didn't want to get married, get married. He wasn't even under his legal name. I just can't see them being legally recognized but whatever.

Am I the only one that thinks that she's never going to be Speedy, not REALLY if she's going to be crazy next season because of something that multiple people kept telling me should be temporary, but now everyone WANTS to be lasting forever or something? Her jumping Oliver like a wild dog or something wasn't enough? She has to be f*cked up even more? And then what, have her actually kill someone in that, so that as everyone still freaking wants, make her cray Cheshire next season and keep the whole Speedy thing as a fuck you to the fans?
Not to mention,, how do you people expect her to actually thus really become Speedy, if she's going to use damn swords? I don't really recall Speedy using those, and it's the whole reason people keep talking about Cheshire and shit. I've been waiting way too long for her to use bow and arrow, that those trophies weren't just another F you from these bastards of a producers and writers, and then people suddenly hope that: "Nah, let's hope she still uses the swords too.'
Hm, so wait what? So you think they're going to put her on that too instead of keeping her on Arrow?

We're just getting a bit past the point of this entire season ruining her entirely and everything, and then you want something like that to happen where she probably killed someone on her own NOW after that long because of the Pit, so that next season she'll be ruined the entire season again?

ReplyDeleteHow could it stand up? Oliver wasn't even using his legal name and both he and Nyssa were coerced into consenting. I wouldn't be surprised if the show tried to make it legally binding, but it would be the biggest "audience, we think you are THIS stupid" moment ever.

ReplyDeleteHis accepting of Merlyn's help, needing Tatsu and then his team on his plan last episode and the help that he will accept in this one demonstrates that he knows he needs their help to stop Ra's. Hell he even got Barry to save them. He knows he needs help. And his finally accepting that he isn't the arrow but Oliver Queen further hints at his development.

ReplyDeletethe problem is the back half of the season has felt rushed, they took to long getting him into the league, it should have happened much sooner and lasted longer that way the deception and disfranchisement of his friends would have paid off better.
