  1. I'm looking forward to everyone's reaction to this marriage more than anything else in the episode.

  2. I don't know how to feel...

Me toooo ! xD It is Wednesday yet ?!

  4. I'd probably be looking forward to it more if they hadn't already spoiled that there was going to be a wedding and that it would be between Oliver and Nyssa. Although I wonder what this other option Ra's speaks of is.

All I hope is that the people writing this show at least have the good sense to not have Oliver and Nyssa consummate the marriage, if it indeed reaches that point.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Ugh. See? Told you they'd rather choose death. Ughhh

    ReplyDelete
  6. Okay, that just sounds like Ollie trying to convince Ra's that he's not Oliver Queen anymore and only Al Sah-him....the theory of him faking it just to move up in the ranks of the League makes more and more sense.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Honestly, I think Ollie will show his hand before the marriage even happens.

  8. Rheinmeister09 .5 May 2015 at 00:51

Is Ollie faking this and come season finale ARGUS will come down hard on Ra's and the League....or will some other unknown fate befall everyone!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  9. STOPtheMADNESS5 May 2015 at 00:55

That could be. He becomes Ra's, orders the League to kill him and then hands the reigns to the League over to Nyssa.

  10. Looking forward Laurel kicking some serious League ass (pardon my language)! You go girl!

    ReplyDelete
  11. if they run through with the marriage twitter and tumblr will explode

Here's the Canadian promo for the next episode. There is kind of a spoiler right at the beginning.

  13. Let 'em. I won't care. I just want to see all the characters react to the news.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I hope so. I still have a hard time accepting three weeks in Nanda Parbat has turned Oliver into RoboRa's.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Eh. I wouldn't have cared about the twist either way. The main entertainment in this for me hearing what Team Arrow has to say about the engagement when they hear the news.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Malcolm: "Ohmygodohmygodohmygod, can I be the flower girl"

Laurel: "Nyssa....I was about to turn lesbian for you and now you marry my ex bf?"

Katana: "I was married once, it was the worst decision I've ever made"

Diggle: "How come I wasn't invited as best man?!"

Ray: "So Felicity....the guy your ovaries are craving is getting married should we hook u...."

Felicity: "It was my entire lifes purpose to be Olivers girl....I...have...failed....tumblr" *shoots herself*

  17. they would really miss an opportunity if they won't let him say anything sarcastic or at least make him smile awkwardly. However I doubt that he'll get much focus this wednesday. The promos already indicate that it, again, is a Felicity/Olicity centric emotional rollercoaster ment to fire up social media

    ReplyDelete
  18. STOPtheMADNESS5 May 2015 at 01:21

There's a different scene like 3 seconds in that's not in the U.S. version.

    ReplyDelete
  19. STOPtheMADNESS5 May 2015 at 01:23

Oh and I agree about EBR, crying. No matter where they take her storyline next year, they'll be best served not having her be part of emotional scenes, as she's brutal at them.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yeah, the Katana vs Maseo fight looks to be intense

    ReplyDelete
  21. I don't think he'll have anyone kill Ra's. More like disbanding the League....BUT, I see Ra's finding out before Ollie can even ascend to become the next Ra's.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yep, every actor has his shortcomings obviously. For her it's everything but acting quirky/funny. I like her as the lighthearted gal around, however the emotional parts are really not her terrain

    ReplyDelete
  23. It definitely fits the idea that Ollie is just faking this, but I wouldn't be surprised if it takes three weeks of how terrorists have captured people and the past and break them.

    ReplyDelete
  24. STOPtheMADNESS5 May 2015 at 01:40

That and SPOILER: Oliver talking to Maseo saying they need help, seems like Oliver talking not Al Sah-him. So maybe the people that think he's faking are correct.

    ReplyDelete
  25. STOPtheMADNESS5 May 2015 at 01:40

Yep. Get her back to being the comic relief. That's where she thrives.

    ReplyDelete
  26. STOPtheMADNESS5 May 2015 at 01:43

I don't think he could disband the league. I also see Ra's figuring out what's going on, but if that happens then how can Oliver ever get back to Starling City, without Ra's hunting him down. I don't see Ra's being even a minor character next year, although I suppose he could be.

    ReplyDelete
  27. He could disband the league if he's the leader. If Ra's said this to Ollie back in "The Offer": "Now, if you wish for them to renounce killing as you did, thy will be done." then I could see someone with the power of being Ra's al Ghul to be able to even disband the entire League.

Ollie will have to show his true self to even help out Barry in Central City, so perhaps Ollie and Team Arrow does escape and Ra's is now just focused on making sure Ollie dies with the rest of Starling City.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'm expecting that the brainwashing will begin to crumble before the finale is over, but I didn't have a huge problem with the idea that 3 weeks of constant, intense, drug aided brainwashing would turn Oliver into RoboRa's. He was prepped for killing Dig, but I'm thinking the brainwashing won't stand up to trying to get him to hurt Thea, Felicity or Laurel.

    ReplyDelete
  29. He looks to be Al Sah-him in the Flash episode, which makes me think that the League may want ties with.. some 'powered' types.

    A) WE dont know the view of the LOS on powered types. Its pretty much a new thing for them (bar any issues arising from the Deathbolt). Its possible the league has had contracts to kill someof these powered types, they may have information on 'Wells'. I still think the League would want some of them onside.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Interesting theory. Al Sah-him trying to "break bread" with The Flash and Firestorm.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I kinda hope they do, because I think it might pay off in a future storyline. I dont see Oliver staying Heir for too much longer.

The issue her is I dont want them to repeat the .. unknown child with young lady storyline that they have setup but by the same token, If they had Nyssa pregnant by Oliver they have something to tie the show to the League if they need to reuse the league in the future. Obviously this being under the pretext Oliver dosnt know about the pregnancy and it could be used as leverage over him in the future. But again, that does draw back on the child in Starling City issue.

    ReplyDelete
  32. and using 'Olivers' connection to Barry to do so.

Plus he dosnt have his old Green costume anymore.

To be honest I hope they do less of these crossovers. I like my Arrow more grounded, and they can keep the FLASH the fantastic fantasy vehicle show.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Considering that they hadn't decided if the marriage was being carried over to season 4, I would take it that the marriage does happen, but might or might not last long.

At least that was what Marc said on his tumblr when asked "You said there will be a wedding and a marriage...will the marriage carry into season 4?", his response was "Haven’t decided yet.".

    ReplyDelete
  34. Nyssa's marrying Oliver against her will and, as far as we know, is a lesbian. I think they're skirting a fine line with that one, and I really, really hope they don't go there.

    ReplyDelete
  35. This was already posted in the promo article.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Ohlisa: We dont know much . She COULD be Bisexual like Sara. I think everyone assumes she is Lesbian. (and we have had a few scenes that might seem to confirm that but nothing hard and fast said to make that fact).

I like CW shows taking risks. For a long time CW shoes have been pretty 'safe'. Arrow season 1 with the main character going around effectively killing (and not redeeming the bad guy) was great. Im not saying this particular issue needs to be addressed in the Arrow, and I know a lot of people nowadays focus a lot more on LGBT issues than they did in years past but to me Story should always win out over any issues we as people should have.

We may hate that story and dislike it intensely but if it makes for an interesting story then Im all for it.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I dont know.. I kinda like that she gets more to do than be Comic Relief.

    ReplyDelete
  38. It's a nice theory, but I'm not much of a fan of it. Personally, I love the theory that Ollie is smarter than Ra's al Ghul and fooling him and it is Ollie helping Barry and not Al Sah-him(and it would make sense for Ollie to still use the League outfit since the Arrow suit is still impounded by the SCPD).

    ReplyDelete
  39. The wedding could Al Sah-him/Nyssa and the marriage could be Diggle/Lyla.

    ReplyDelete
  40. If you cant tell I miss the more grounded Action Sequences/ story of Season 1. Esp the Flashback stuff. I havnt enjoyed a lot of Flashback stuff since Oliver left the Island. I miss characters like the original Deathstroke (yeah even if he had what about 5 lines of dialogue in his whole stint) Yao Fei (who I think they killed off too soon) and Fyers.

Fyers didnt seem too integral to the story for a lot of people , but he really was the first to threaten Olivers life and set him on his Path. Yao Fei could teach him so much but Fyers directly challenged Olivers life and the show showed that it was that challenge that turn Oliver's life around.

The U.S. promos and Canadian are usually quite different. This time they're very similar but there's a scene right at the beginning that's not in the U.S. version.

    ReplyDelete
  42. STOPtheMADNESS5 May 2015 at 04:12

Except she's horrible at the emotional scenes. It's painful to watch. She can be a bigger part of the storyline, just limit her emotional scenes, cause they truly are brutal.

    ReplyDelete
  43. THats going to be hard considering the dark and moody edge the show mostly has.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I know I watched it a couple of days ago as the Canadian promo was put in the updated Arrow 3x22 Promo article.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Unlikely that he was referring to Diggle/Lyla, since that happened in March and his response that in mid April when everyone was asking about the next wedding. Marc answered multiple questions on the same day about that wedding and none was about Diggle/Lyla, like if Ray was going to officiate that wedding too, if it would be the 1st wedding for both characters.

    ReplyDelete
  46. At least EBR is better at emotional scenes than KC she horrible very painful to watch

    ReplyDelete
  47. She could be bisexual like Sara, that's why I wrote "as far as we know." The CW can take risks all they want, but I really would prefer it if they didn't do it in a forced marriage storyline with consent issues (which would exist whether she's gay, bi, or straight since she's not marrying Oliver of her own free will). It's just not something that I think this show would handle very well at all.

    ReplyDelete
  48. STOPtheMADNESS5 May 2015 at 04:23

    Oh, ok.

    ReplyDelete
  49. STOPtheMADNESS5 May 2015 at 04:24

I agree, but something needs to be done. Her emotional scenes make Laurels look Oscar worthy;)

    ReplyDelete
  50. I love her, but yeah. It doesn't help that she's had emotional scenes in almost every episode. At some point too much is too much regardless of the acting ability, and I think we've reached that point.

    ReplyDelete
  51. STOPtheMADNESS5 May 2015 at 04:30

I like her too. She was one of my favorite characters until they kinda ruined her this year. That said, she's still cool, they just need to quit it with her crying every damn episode;)

    ReplyDelete
  52. But he mentioned both a wedding and a marriage...he could have easily been bringing up Diggle and Lyla's marriage as well and an ending, or did he specify that we'd see two, separate new marriages and weddings?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Unless they are killing Diggle or Lyla or getting them divorced it makes no sense for Marc to reply that they "haven't decided yet" if this marriage carries over to season 4.

Marc said on April 12 that the second wedding had already been filmed. And on April 16 he said that "It’ll be a first marriage for both participants." so there will be a wedding and they will get married.

    ReplyDelete
  54. This whole LoA story is so contrived now. So Ra's wanted to kill Malcolm because he tried to destroy the Glades. Now he wants Oliver to wipe out the whole Starling City. Smh. The actors are doing their best though. I am excited for the wedding. Ra's you keep on working hard to be on the top worst Daddy of the year list. Personally Malcolm Merlyn still tops the list.

    ReplyDelete
  55. So he specified it that? That it will be Ollie and Nyssa getting married?

Well, this is just confusing then as I had expected Ollie to show his hand before the wedding even commences.

    ReplyDelete
  56. All that is in " " are direct quote from his answers on his tumblr.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Actually I think its been stated a few times in interviews that Nyssa is in fact a lesbian.

    ReplyDelete
  58. That is tragic, then. Don't know if I like the idea at all.

    ReplyDelete
  59. STOPtheMADNESS5 May 2015 at 06:20

Ra's wanted to kill Malcolm cause he left the league and acted without their approval. Ra's wasn't mad he wanted to destroy the glades. In fact that's what the league does, destroy corrupt cities.

    ReplyDelete
  60. STOPtheMADNESS5 May 2015 at 06:21

I totally disagree. EBR's horrible emotional scenes make KC's horrible emotional scenes seem Oscar worthy.

    ReplyDelete
  61. That is the problem here. It was never explained clearly why Ra's wants Malcolm dead. We know what league and Ra's does from our knowledge from other media but it was never tackled on the show.

In season 2 episode 8 "The scientist" Moira tells Malcolm "The League of Assassins, however twisted their aims, believes very deeply in a code of honor. Your undertaking betrayed that code." We never got to know what that code of honor is on the show.

    ReplyDelete
  62. but the wedding is going to be so funny to watch. all those stoik faces, I am really going to laugh.
I am hoping this will be a transitional season and everything will be better in S4.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Ive seen far far far worse actors doing worse crying scenes. I didnt think Id need to do this but well.. you need a reminder!

    ReplyDelete
  64. STOPtheMADNESS5 May 2015 at 08:22

That's totally what this season feels like: a transitional season. Let's just hope we're right.

    ReplyDelete
  65. IMO it's not EBR strongest side, but it's not that awful either, it's just overkill by now. It's overdone and I believe it is writing and directing that is asking that of her. Her quiet crying is much more stronger imo. Same with KC, I always thought she was rather stoik and more angry than crying, but after seeing Laurel and Cisco scene (there was a lot of mimik there) I believe KC is doing this on purpose, to show that drive Laurel has in her.

    ReplyDelete
  66. STOPtheMADNESS5 May 2015 at 08:25

LOL. I never said she's the worst I've ever seen. But she's one of if not the worst on this show. It doesn't help that the writers have her crying multiple times every damn episode;)

    ReplyDelete
  67. Wedding is going to be lots of fun. I making popcorn for this episode and am going to laugh and make fun of all the characters through out the episode. Its going to be hilarious. Arrow is the only show where I have more expectations for next season even after they screwed up this season. In any other show I would be cautious.

    ReplyDelete
  68. STOPtheMADNESS5 May 2015 at 08:26

    Very true.

    ReplyDelete
  69. yeah I know that is what the producers and SA said from the beginning but it was a bumpy ride. As ODA pointed out the motivations of Malcom and LoS is convoluted, as long as S4 gets better I can live with it.
Also have the impression that something messed up their plan for this seasons flashbacks. Katana is also a character on the Suicide Squad movie....

    ReplyDelete
  70. Mercy: Look at the drive Laurel had in Season 1. OF course she did have her only female friend around. Who disappeared because her Brother died? I cant remember. Either way, she seemed to drive Laurel in her desire to help with the Lawyering thing. THey need to bring her back! :)

    ReplyDelete
  71. STOPtheMADNESS5 May 2015 at 08:30

This is the first season that I've absolutely hated the flashbacks. Last year they were awesome and filled in the backstory perfectly. This year it feels like they're just doing them to do them. I'm honestly at the point of hoping they don't do them next year.

    ReplyDelete
  72. The directors aren't the best, tbh. Look what they do to Katie: they make her act robotic and it seems she can't blink(even David Ramsey made fun of that on a con).

I didn't have a problem with Emily's emotional scenes(it's theCW and her first job, don't ask too much), but after 3x10 it was too much.

The show kept getting darker and more emotional and that made the story a drag. Oliver is hyper sensitive now.

I also have kind of an issue with Laurel. You either make her good or you don't. Last episode she barely survivied a common muggler and this week she can take 3 LoA enemies?

They ended up pulling a Roy on her. He was also made good just in time for the finale, when a few episodes back he couldn't hit a steady target.

    ReplyDelete
  73. So, after all their talk they pulled a Roy with Laurel?

Next week she got beaten by a common muggler(one she should have beaten up easily) and by two LOA members.

This episode she will fight 3 LOA members? Really?

I would love for the story to adapt to her and not her adapting to the story.

    ReplyDelete
  74. There is a article on ew.com where the executive producer says that they really are getting married an that the ceremony actually finishes so I am excited that they really are going to let this happen.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I honestly don't get why they made her seem overpowered by a mugger when in the same episode they make her go toe to toe with tow LoA (she lost, but she held her own).

Honestly, it only makes sense if you focus on what Nyssa said and it was about Laurel being overconfident and not paying enough attention, just plain showboating. It still doesn't make sense to put the scene on the same ep she goes against some LoA, unless you foreshadow in the scene something, like Nyssa saying "When the time comes, you can't give yourself the luxury of not paying attention" and then show Laurel taking the advice to mind and being hyper-aware or something.

The writing is not really on point this season.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Idk, i think that Laurel's abilities are used according the scene. Nyssa needed to make an entrance so they made her get defeated by a mugger. Next episode they need for her to beat 3 LoA members so she will, when the episode before she got beaten badly by two LoA members.

I like Laurel and that pisses me off. We were supposed to get her "island time". Season 3 should be like Oliver's first Season on the island. But they change her skills to fir the story.

Like always, Laurel is the one who must adapt to the story... instead of the story adapting to Laurel.
