Last week's American Odyssey saw Odelle finally making a call to Colonel Glen, while Aslam was once again captured. Also, Bob gave Harrison a clue regarding his father's killer, and Peter knew that a Congressman has been putting pressure on the Department of Justice to let go of the Societel investigation. This week, the show continues on these events with its fifth episode.
Peter is surprised to hear some good news in the episode. His boss tells him that the Justice Department is now going for a full investigation into the terrorist funding by Societel. Not only is Alex Baker cooperating fully, he hired a private consultant to conduct the investigation. Peter later has to answer some questions, and learn that someone close to him is being set up as a scapegoat. Obviously, Peter is not pleased with this, but he can't prevent the scapegoat from getting arrested later in the episode.
Also, Colonel Glen gives Odelle directions to a CIA safe house where she can stay until the extraction team comes. However, Odelle soon realizes that Glen's intentions are not what she thought. And then she must once again run for her life.
