Thanks to Sonnye for the heads up.

Season two of Agent Carter sounds much more interesting than the first but I really hope the cast sticks around.
ReplyDeleteAnd we'll see how I feel about AoS season three after tonight's finale.
I am surprised Agent Carter is moving to LA, I really hope Jarvis sticks around.
ReplyDeleteThe hiatus will be torture. Why isn't it September/January yet?!
ReplyDeleteSounds like budget cuts to me, faking NY is expensive
ReplyDeleteWhat about the other shows? I believe ABC has released those too.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting to have it somewhat confirmed that Jaiyang and her Afterlife crew are not a part of the main group of Inhumans. So it'll be somewhat of a surprise to see what the main Inhumans are up in their movie and just how and why Afterlife fractured from the royal family and Attilan.
ReplyDeleteAngie better move to LA too! #priorities
ReplyDeleteI noticed the same thing - curious that they're now not the Inhumans, but instead a "rogue faction."
ReplyDeleteThat is true, but I don't mind a change of scenery for the show and the Hollywood aspect could be really fun.
ReplyDeleteTrue, it`s also a lot easier to create a 1930s illusion in LA, most buildings from that era still stand and are mostly unchanged
ReplyDeleteI wish I didn't have to wait so long for these (esp Agent Carter!!) but, at least I have Ant-Man coming up. (I've already seen Avengers three times, sigh.)
ReplyDeleteYou can rewatch the entire MCU until then :P
ReplyDeleteAwesome, why do i think that Angie will be the main hero right after Peggy.
ReplyDeleteAs long as Jarvis and Angie go to LA with Peggy also then all is right with me. The dynamic between Peggy/Jarvis and Peggy/Angie is just too good to lose. Hopefully James and Lyndsy will sign the new contracts soon!
ReplyDeleteThe Agent Carter Season 2 PR only lists "“Hayley Atwell as Agent Carter."
ReplyDeleteSo all new supporting cast.
All I really need is Jarvis. I hope he stays.
ReplyDeleteLol that's probably why Peggy accepts her L.A. assignment. So she and Angie can move to L.A. to help further Angie's acting career. That's just what besties do.
ReplyDeleteThinking about it Angie is an actress so her moving to LA would make perfect sense. Jarvis just needs to go there because maybe Howard is getting too involved with Hollywood actresses again!
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling, I look forward to 2017 when the MCU finally starts releasing 3 movies a year.
ReplyDeleteI feel like this AoS synopsis is BS cause they don't want to give anything away before the finale.
ReplyDeleteMost likely, hence why on Coulson is mentioned by name.
ReplyDeleteThe Stark family must move out west at some point.
ReplyDeleteTrue and Howard probably has houses everywhere.
ReplyDeleteWho needs summer vacation? Not me so lets jup to this fall, shall we? ;)
ReplyDeleteIs Agent Carter another 8 episode run?
ReplyDeleteI believe it's just that one year and 2018 and 2019 are back to two. At least, I think, it's been a minute since I glanced at the upcoming dates list.
ReplyDeleteHa, true! I think I might, actually, it takes quite a while to do. Although this time will probably skip Incredible Hulk, it's just not very good haha.
ReplyDeleteFaking anything 50+ years ago ain't cheap
ReplyDeleteThis allows them to ignore them when it comes to the movies and cast bigger names (though doubtful they're more talented than Dichen Lachman)
ReplyDeleteThat AoS sinopsis couldn't be more generic if they tried.
ReplyDeleteI love AC and I think it will be fun to see Peggy in LA. My only request, give us a hint of how SHIELD came to be, because this first season we got NOTHING.
I actually liked the Incredible Hulk, certainly better than Ang Lee's Hulk ^^
ReplyDeleteYou can replace Hulk with Howard the Duck though, would fit perfectly after Guardians of the Galaxy
They already said in the end of Cap1 that SHIELD was founded by Peggy, Howard and Tommy Lee Jones' character
ReplyDeleteI know, which is why I want to get a step closer and actually see them starting something. TBH, I'd just settle for someone to bring up the idea. Something.
ReplyDeleteI think so, they said that it'll be like S1, they will fill the gap left by AOS.
ReplyDeleteI just checked because I couldn't remember myself
ReplyDelete2016 is Cap 3 and Doctor Strange
2017 is Guardians 2, Spidey and Thor 3
2018 is Infinity War P1, Black Panther and Captain Marvel
Then back to 2 in 2019 with Infinity Wars P2 and Inhumans.
Crazy times ahead
Why? Because none of what you wanted to happen has happened? More specificly Ward?
ReplyDeleteSince they can't get Tommy Lee Jones back for sure I doubt that we'll ever see much.
ReplyDeleteHowever I do hope that Howard, Jarvis and Angie stay on the show
from what I read the Agent Carter special from Capt America BluRay/DVD is where The show Agent Carter will end. We basely watching the build up to that Marvel special
ReplyDeleteWell, they don't actually HAVE to get him, let's pretend a phone call here or there, he can be somewhere else coordinating... things. But at least plant the seed. They sold this show as a SHIELD origin story, so give us bread crumbs at the very least.
ReplyDeleteI think that with the background setting it's safe to say Angie is going to be a bigger part next season, and Jarvis just has to come back, it wouldn't be the same without him, or the ocssional Howard pop up. I think they are safe, it would be silly not to bring them back.
Wait...what?
ReplyDeleteFor one, I don't like the Agent Carter Synopsis. This sounds like they intend to replace a lot if not all of the current cast (hopefully Angie will still be around, making her break in Hollywood or something like it), plus, I actually want to know in which decade we are now. Does "atomic age threats" suggest that we are now in the 1950s? Or what?
And the Agent of Shield one is as generic as it can get.
Yea that makes sense. Dichen Lachman is awesome, but they'll want bigger stars.
ReplyDeleteI thought the show was an expanson of the special...
ReplyDeleteNot so sure. The move means that they have to trash all the sets they have now and start anew.
ReplyDeleteThat would be a perfectly plausible excuse, and I'd totally accept that! (I'm assuming this is also for budget cuts, but hey, just happy to have season 2.)
ReplyDeleteSHIELD was borned during that special, but with the show we are slowly seeing it be born.
ReplyDeleteSo yes it's an expansion but also a build up to SHIELD being born VIA Agent Carter
Can never really be sure with Marvel, they've gone with a mix of stars and unknown with mixed success. A lesser known but more talented actress may have made Black Widow more interesting, but Robert Downey was a pretty good Iron Man. Most people didn't know who Chris Evans or Hemsworth were when they were cast and now they're pretty big names. I hope they remember talent first.
ReplyDeleteThey probably already did trash most sets, remember: the show was in limbo for quite a few months. Set space is expensive so I guess they trashed it and conceptualized a move beforehand to save the expenses
ReplyDeleteespecially NY sets though, keep in mind that LA, as a town, is fairly untouched in its older districts. Sure downtown is full of new modern crap but especially El Monte and Anaheim have some pretty untouched buildings (sure CGIing out several antennas and modern windows but overall easier to fake than NY)
ReplyDeleteFrom The Big Apple to the City of Angels, cool. Rogue "Faction"? so could there actually be other factions out there that are good?
ReplyDeleteand Angie
ReplyDeleteWell, hopefully they won't take to long getting there.so we'll actually get to see it.
ReplyDeleteplease, please do not get ride of enver gjokai I love his acting!!
ReplyDeleteThey've got 'old timey' sets in Hollywood for a variety of periods. I don't think recreation costs as much as you'd think. Maybe they just want her to interact with Hollywood. I think bringing back Jarvis is going to be a stretch though...though Hollywood and Starlets, can Howard be far behind?
ReplyDeleteSame here. And Peggy without Jarvis is cake without frosting. I hope the whole cast is returning but no Jarvis would just be tragic.
ReplyDeleteNot for me, I'll miss the 40's New York . Disappointed.
ReplyDeletesure they do, WB even has a whole open-set for period sceneries, however a TV production can't limiit itself to mere 5 sets, they need to have some variety. Thus the need to shoot in town
ReplyDeletePrecisely why it is more boring - not as much unchanged.
ReplyDeleteHollywood in the 30s (and even until today) has some VERY dark corners, they could easily spin some pretty damn interesting story out of that
ReplyDeleteFigured LA would be Angie's career move but what about Jarvis. Have to have Jarvis.
ReplyDeleteI have always believed there are other tribes of inhumans. Jiaying's group already reminded me of one from the comics but without the character Lash and their hatred for the royal family. We actually don't know what Jiaying's inhuman feel about the royal family. i should have suspected they were "rogue" when Jiaying talked about grown their own crystals that were deadly to humans. Obviously rogue doesn't mean villain, so I'm fine with this.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what new threats are? I. SO. CANNOT. WAIT!!!!!!!
Peggy's moving to LA? New love (obviously) New home? New friends? What about Jarvis, Angie, SSR (Thompson and Sousa). Is she leaving all of this behind?
I adored him as Victor on Dollhouse, him and the actress that plays Skye's mother on AoS.
ReplyDeleteAoS has been very stingy with spoilers, doesn't look like this changes much.
ReplyDeleteso Coulson will be against inhumans so against Skye & Colin. I saw it coming but ugh :( bye Philinda/Philinda family.Cruel writers,,...
ReplyDeleteHoward was my favourite out of season 1. I don't think he'll be returning in S2 unless it's for guest appearance that are even less than the ones in S1 and he wasn't on a lot.
ReplyDeleteI (and a lot of people) think Skye will go on her own, so no Coulson against Skye.
ReplyDeleteAnd who's Colin? Never heard of him before.
they were my favorite on that show too! he was the most talented actor on that show. he deserves to stay on agent carter. stupid show runners
ReplyDeleteBut Dominic Cooper will be starring in his own show, I don't know if we'll ever see much of him. It's the same show that snagged Ruth Negga, so she might not return to AoS either.
ReplyDeleteSo it's been confirm that it will fill the same slot as 2014/2015 or will it air just before AoS S3 premier?
ReplyDeleteMaybe i missed typed. Colin is Skye's tutor ( Luke Mittchell). So you think Skye could leave the show? Anyway I don't think Philinda will make up any soon. My OTP is over.
ReplyDeleteyes and enver gjokai,
ReplyDeleteDamn it! I didn't know that!!! NO!!! he has to come back for, at least, a couple of episodes. Please ABC, make it happen!
ReplyDeleteThe current inhuman arc sure didn't seem like it spanned the entire race because we've heard nothing of the royal family as yet. And this particular tribe, I don't think we're supposed to see them as villain in the same vein as Hydra. They are antoginistic towards SHIELD as much as SHIELD is antagonistic towards them. And if the interviews are to be trusted, this particular storyline might be resolved at the end of the night. And if we're lucky, Skye won't be forced to strike out on her own, neither SHIELD/inhuman tie will be cut, at least I hope. It would be good for the character not to lose out so much every time it seems she's found something good in her life.
ReplyDeleteHe's the safest/surest character on the show right now (other than Skye).
ReplyDeleteOh him! The name is Lincoln, not Colin! haha
ReplyDeleteNo, no leave the show, leave SHIELD and the Inhumans, be on her own for awhile, I think Coulson trying to get her back could be something happening on the first episodes of S3.
Oh yeah, May is pissed with Coulson we'll see tonight how that plays out, after all, they are on the same side of this war.
Will we meet Tony's mother at some point?
ReplyDeleteoh yes Licon. May could even die tonight so I'm ready to say goodbye to my OTP. :(
ReplyDeleteJarvis goes to L.A. to oversee the construction of Stark's new mansion in Malibu.
ReplyDeleteJarvis is tethered to Howard (for future purposes that lead to J.A.R.V.I.S.). Unless Howard "moves" (not that he stays in one place all the time) to LA, I don't see Jarvis going there by himself. The show's best bet is to move Stark to LA and have Howard busy with his other business while Jarvis can be around and Angie will be closer to her dream of becoming an actress. The ones that are ??? is Sousa and Thompson (the new SSr chief). Without either one turning out to be her future husband, I don't see them conveniently moving to LA with Peggy.
ReplyDeleteI honestly have no idea what the cast for the show will look like, if it's a new cast, it will feel like a reboot and not at all like a season 2. Why must she move at all? I don't understand.
Enver was the main reason I was excited for S1. They didn't do much with him, sadly.
ReplyDeleteIf you wanna more spoilers for the season 2 finale of AoS, look at this link
ReplyDeletehttp://www.ew.com/article/2015/05/12/agents-shield-season2-finale-spoilers
Possibly.
ReplyDeleteI hope so but she would have to be really young during the late 1940s to have been young enough to have a child in 1970. Early 20s at most and even that's pushing it because most women did not have children in their late 40s during the 70s. So I doubt we would see her on Carter, maybe somewhere else.
ReplyDeleteNo no no, no way, she's not dying. Not happening. I doubt anyone from the main cast will die to be honest, just secondary characters.
ReplyDeleteNobody from the main cast will die. They are confirmed for season 3. Not that was even a doubt.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Howard Stark (he is Anthony Star's sire after all). He was what I loved about Agent Carter. I wasn't happy that he wasn't in every episode but now I realise he may not return to AC, at least not any time soon and that saddens me but I accept it since I never expected the show would return, so I was already prepared for some form of disappointment.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how they'll get Jarvis though. the producers aren't blind or stupid, they are aware of how great Carter was with Jarvis, I'm sure they'll want him in LA, along with her.
Ugh! I forgot about that.
ReplyDeleteI guess Howard can continue his wild living a bit longer.
Moving is probably a way to cut down costs. They will need less CGI this way. The actor who plays young Howard was just signed on to Preacher so we may not see much of him except for maybe a cameo or two.
ReplyDeleteNo they didn't.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, locking the inhibtors gloves on Skye is messed up. The gloves was last with the inhumans but i guess Shield might have another one and use on Skye? i don't know if the inhuamns would do that to her.
ReplyDeletei'm sad about Howard, happy about Dominic though.
ReplyDeleteABC confirmed that will air at the same time season 1 did. Between AOS at the same time slot.
ReplyDeleteDoes it say who locks the gloves on to her hands?
ReplyDeleteI suspected that since afterlife will be destroyed, all the inhumans that survives the finale will be on the run/hiding on season 3. They will eventually come up and cause some problems but i think they will put the inhumans on the background at least for awhile.
ReplyDeleteNo. Its up in the air and we will know during the episode. Even if Skye alliance might not be defined i just can't imagine the inhuamsn being that radical toward her gift. This looks like more shield thing. After she fights may and knowing what she can do i wonder if they get to her and make her use it.
ReplyDeleteWhen Chloe says " Someone very close to me does not want me to be the use of my faculties, " uhmm, I begin to think it could be Simmons or Lincoln, but Coulson orders or Jiaying
ReplyDeleteWould Jiaying or Lincoln do that though? i think this screams SHIELD/Coulson and Simmons thing. If they want to beta the inhumans they will need to find ways to neutralize their powers. The gloves neutralizes Skye's. They will need somehting for Gordon too. But i guess we will see.
ReplyDeleteBesides, I think than today Jiaying will create new inhumans (and with all the mess of the war) than can't control his powers and doesn't have where refuge
ReplyDeleteThey might do that. I don't see the inhumans, at least not Jiaying's group continuing to be antagonistic in S3, at least not to the level we've seen with what Jiaying did to Gonzalez. It's possible those that survive will go underground, join other tribes. I hope both Gordon and Jiaying survive, and Raina (I love Flowers, even if she can't be trusted). I don't think Marvel wants the inhumans, as a whole, to be seen as bad guys (which could impact the movie negatively) the SHIELD/Inhumans arc will probably end tonight with neither side winning. I would certainly love to see a bit of the new S3 arc, to give us an idea what SHIELD will be facing, especially with their S3 tag line "Returning to Duty" whatever that means.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I´m thinking about Lincoln too, because he take the gloves to study and in the moment than Skye switch sides, they are the only one than already know his true power, but , yeah it´s more probable than is Coulson who will try to stop Skye
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's about inhibiting her powers for the sake of inhibiting them. I think someone doesn't want Skye using her powers against them. and If Skye's loyalty is being questioned by both sides (and I think it is) both sides would be willing to lock those gloves onto her hands. I believe this line "I thought you were on our side" is someone speaking to Skye. So far she's still on Afterlife, the last place where we saw those dubious gloves, a place that knows exactly what those glove are for (all this could be moot if SHIELD gets a hold of those gloves or Simmons created backups). At this stage neither side is above doing this if they think they need to to fight this stupid war because whatever side they think she "chooses" the other side will wan't to"protect" itself while ignoring the pain they are putting her through.
ReplyDeleteI think it might be Jiaying's doing. That same article has Skye fighting an Inhuman. Lincoln had the gloves last. The only way I see it being Coulson is if Simmons made a back up pair.
ReplyDeletePossible. Both SHIELD and Jiaying could want her to sit out the fight if they think she's against them and they use the gloves against her.
ReplyDeleteI think so too.
ReplyDeleteI guess so. If its SHIELD then no way she stays with them (i think she will). By spoliers we know she will turn sides fighting inhumans and if she has her powers shouldn't be difficult to beat the Alisha girl but if she doesn't well, its four against one.
ReplyDeleteYeah very true, they'll probably cast a mix of established and unknown/not yet had their big break actors. They've been casting rumors flying around that they want/possibly already have Vin Diesel for Black Bolt.
ReplyDeleteI guess it would look really bad on Coulson or Simmons if they actually locked the gloves on her against her will. You know, her mom is the evil one.
ReplyDeleteSkye's best option is to choose neither side. By taking herself out of the equation, she will ensure that her connections to BOTH SHIELD and inhumans remain intact. They might be strained in the beginning but at least the won't shitter into a million pieces by choosing the "wrong" side.
ReplyDeleteTrue, especially if the gloves are locked on her while she's fighting on SHIELD's side.
ReplyDeleteI think so too but i don't know. By what i have been reading if she chooses a side will definiltely be SHIELDs.
ReplyDeleteI forgot about the fight against the Alisha who can multiply herself. If she has her powers it shouldn't be so hard to fight her. She apparently takes a beating so makes sense if she has her powers locked with the gloves on.
ReplyDeletethanks God but I oubt my OTP can be back anytime soon.
ReplyDeleteThen SHIELD will have to deal with them if they start causing drama. The focus of season 3 won't be more on them anymore, at least until the civil war storyline heat up and the show gets close to the tie in. I think Jiaying will survive but she will go hiding and eventually pops back up. HYDRA still be a thing.
ReplyDeleteStark already has a mansion there. You saw him and Dum Dum there at the end of the Peggy Carter short.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why people keep saying Jiaying is evil. I don't think she is and I don't believe the show wants us to see her that way either. We saw her thought process almost right up to the end 9she wasn't looking to fight SHIELD. Cal, no doubt gave her the most frightening cliff notes on indexing (nobody deserves to be indexed at all). This is a show that makes the likes of Cal sympathetic and has producers continue to dangle the "Ward is maybe a good guy, maybe" carrot in front of some of his fans that want to believe that. So out of the actual villains on the show, why make her to be the ultimate villain, when we know what her motivations are, protecting her people and Skye? I believe she's making a terrible mistake starting a costly war but not for one second do I see her as a villain and those that see her as some one note cardboard cut out villain are shortsighted. What she did to Gonzalez and what she's doing going after SHIELD is her being emotional and reacting to her fear. If she thought rationally for one second she would consider other less bloody options that don't involving turning humans against inhumans.
ReplyDeleteThe people from Afterlive are not a tribe on their own as Afterlive is described as a transit station for people who got through the mist, or waiting to go through. I think that a part of the Inhumans actually living in Afterlive will form their rogue group, whereas others will leave.
ReplyDeleteI don't want her to choose SHIELD because based on comics we know that SHIELD will always be a part of her. If she leaves, it will only be for a little while but with the inhumans, so much is an unknown because her origins are retconned from the comics. I am just afraid that if she chooses SHIELD over inhumans, the damage it could do, that may not be as easily reparable as with SHIELD. Maybe it won't be as bad as I think it is and SKye will continue to bond with her people in S3.
ReplyDeleteI agree with what you said. I don't think she is the villain at all but that's probably how the show will left her and how she will be seen by most. We won't know for sure until tonight so its just speculation. Hopefully we get surprised by the finale developments but so far by the spoiler, things aren't looking promising for her. I get the feeling Shield will always come out the winner/mostly good guys in the end.
ReplyDeleteCivil War will expand the boundaries of the registration, inhumans are a part of it but not the main part. Whatever the new plot, CW will likely segue into the show the same way Theta Protocol did with AoU but with the same impact TWS had on the show.
ReplyDeleteThis show has taught me that how people see the show and what actually happens on the show are often times two very separate things. I wish people wouldn't be so quick to crucify Jiaying and I hope the show doesn't add fuel to the fire, it wouldn't be fair for Skye to "lose" her mother like this.
ReplyDeleteYeah I think so too and I said that mostly because in the synopsis of S3 Skye is listed as "Agent Skye" so that's a little bit of a relief, I think.
ReplyDeleteThank God.
ReplyDeleteAoS has benefited from being split right in the middle as opposed to the on and off mess of S1 I hope Marvel capitalises on this with both shows..
In my opinion I think they will fill the same slot as this season so we should prep ourselves for 2 hiatus.
ReplyDeleteAgent Carter sounds really good! Glad we get another season!! Besides budget costs, LA and Hollywood at this time seem like a really good place to barrow noir/pre WWII stories from! Hopefully Jarvis is along for the ride. Can't wait to see who else will get cast!
ReplyDeleteI think we will get a lot of new cast, but I don't think I would discard Jarvis, Howard, and Angie just yet, even if it's reoccurring or guest star, I'm betting they will cross paths again.
ReplyDeleteHemsworth was definitely a lesser-known star, but I think Chris Evans was pretty well known when he was cast. Overall, they definitely like to lean on star power for their movies, but I can't say they haven't picked talented stars...
ReplyDeleteJudging by this tweet between Hayley and Enver, Sousa will be back at least
ReplyDeletehttps://twitter.com/EnverGjokaj/status/597955901283115009
Check out Evans filmography before captain america - it's a littering of mediocre or poorly known films (though if you haven't seen puncture yet i can't recommend it enough - he is incredibly talented)
ReplyDeleteThose rumors started before the movie was announced, by Vin himself when he was having meetings with Marvel (presumably about Groot) and took a picture in front of some BlackBolt Standee. I'm a fan of Diesel, I don't think he's awful, but his shameless pursuit of 'franchises' has to stop, and honestly, black bolt doesn't talk (or everyone dies) so who cares who plays him that much?
ReplyDeleteLook at this glove thing. Imagine if Jiaying does lock that glove on Skye against her will so she won't fight. People will jump on her throat. This would be a messed up thing.
ReplyDeleteYeah but the one-shot is supposedly bookends to the Agent Carter Serie, though it's never been outright stated exactly where it falls in canon just that the Agent Carter Series is spliced somewhere in that one-shot. So if we go by that timeline Stark may not have his mansion yet. But mostly, my Jarvis comment was just a throw away reference/excuse to have Jarvis. Not that I doubt they'd find some way to keep him no matter what. The relationship between him and Peggy is such a great one and rarely shown on tv, it would be awful to lose it.
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen that one, I'll have to check it out!
ReplyDeleteI've liked him since Cellular (and The Perfect Score) in 2004 (bad movies, but man they inflamed my crush). He was in the Fantastic Four movies prior to Cap too, and though both were horrible, you can't deny they weren't well-publicized blockbusters. The first one made $330 million at the box office, according to the google search I just did.
I knew from the get go he wasn't going to be every episode, so I made my peace with it, but not at all isn't an option for me. I mean, we all know they will found SHIELD together, so he has to be a part of Peggy's life! I'm already mighty pissed that Tony seems to have no idea who one of his fathers closes friend was, don't dissapoint me like this Marvel/ABC!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about Jarvis, I'm about 99% sure he'll be a part of the show permanently (as long as it lasts), they'd be fools not to take advantage of that awesome partnership, so they'll find a way. I think him and Angie are a sure thing, I would've added Howard to that, but him they can write off as being in Europe doing something Stark Industries related, although I still hope Dominic Cooper finds the time to do at least 3/4 episodes.
Okay, if Season 2 of Agent Carter is set in Hollywood, that HAS to mean Angie is returning, right? She can hang out with Peggy in between auditions for movies!
ReplyDeleteSquee!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope they don't jump more than 3-4 years forward with Agent Carter. It's going to be pretty distracting if the characters are supposed to have aged a few good years while the actors obviously have not. I know Peggy is going to appear in flashbacks in Ant-Man, presumably showing her meeting and working with Hank Pym in the 60's, so they'll probably use age makeup on Hayley for that, but it wouldn't work for an entire season of Agent Carter.
ReplyDeleteI can deal with losing just about anyone other than Jarvis (although I want Sousa, Howard, Angie and Dottie to return too... Thompson can go play in traffic TBH). If the Peggy/Jarvis partnership isn't there anymore, it's not Agent Carter...
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more. This season's AoS/AC/AoS schedule was perfect.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you read that it's a bookend?
ReplyDeleteEh. So long as Jarvis and Howard are still apart of the cast in some capacity, I'm content. Didn't care much for anyone else. I just hope they have a legitimate plot reason to move instead of just jumping cities just because. I know this is likely because of budget cuts, but they should at least try to have a narrative to mask that.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.comicbookmovie.com/agent_carter/news/?a=117930
ReplyDeleteHere's one of the more recent articles regarding the one-shot's canon. Basically the article tries to interpret what the series creators meant when they said the series takes place in the middle of of the one-shot.
I think it depends on what happens in season two. If season two has Peggy begin to build SHIELD, then the one shot would be between seasons one and two.
ReplyDeleteNICE!
ReplyDeleteAs long as Jarvis, Howard, Angie and Sousa come along for the ride I'm game for anything Peggy has to offer... though I'll miss the NY setting...
ReplyDeleteCurious to see who ends up in the rogue Inhuman faction!
You can actually stock away standing sets... so they could have very easily rented a smaller storage space and be waiting for word.
ReplyDeleteI bet you even with the new sets they'll be re-using materials. Recycling flats it the way to go about things.
depending on the way they're built, I remember having a giant castle set for a stage play a few years ago. That thing had to be destroyed on the stage when production wrapped. Pretty much every part was rendered useless afterwards.
ReplyDeleteAlmost anything can be salvaged actually, if you wrap out properly instead just going for a full on tear down.
ReplyDeleteWell, we were in 1946 in the last season, so 1950 would be four years forward. Plus, that would bring the character actually closer to the actual age of the actress, since the Peggy we have seen so far is in her mid-20s, while she is actually in her early 30s.
ReplyDeleteI hope we see her at a different point in her life in any case.
Probably, the way I witnessed it myself was a little more...umm....savage (still fondly remember getting to smash some parts of it for fun)
ReplyDeleteI've done full on tear downs too. Used an axe and everything. But if word comes from above to salvage the set, you better fucking salvage the set. Once it's put together anyway, it's pretty much puzzle pieces.
ReplyDeleteA change of city sounds like it could open up a lot of great new things for the show, they did brilliantly replicating old NY, looking forward to see what they do with old LA. But what will this mean for the rest of the cast? Here's hoping Angie moves to LA to pursue her acting, loved Lyndsy Fonseca in season 1. But hey, as long as I'm getting more Agent Carter, I can't complain too much.
ReplyDeleteAngie would be the easiest to move to LA, being an actress, so I'm very hopeful for Lyndsy Fonseca appearing in season 2. And I don't see them not bringing back Jarvis.
ReplyDeleteOnly care about Agent Carter - S2 sounds promising and I'm thrilled there is going to BE one! Here's hoping for a full season.
ReplyDeleteAgent Carter season 2 sounds so good
ReplyDeleteWe won't lose Jarvis, it's like you said, it's not Agent Carter without him, especially no that Howard may be MIA. Sousa and Thompson can go, I don't particularly care for them, and I think Angie is given, going to LA and all.
ReplyDelete1950 would be fine. I just hope they don't try to jump too far forward to connect to Ant-Man.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I'm still not sure about is how the founding of SHIELD fits into all of this. The ending of Season 1 leads neatly into the One-Shot, with Agent Flynn, Peggy's douchey boss in the One-Shot, becoming the new head of the SSR. Now, we know that Howard recruits Peggy to run SHIELD with him right out of the SSR since that's how the One-Shot ends. If Season 2 of the show is a few years later, with Peggy on a different mission in LA, is she working for SHIELD now? Did we just skip the founding of the organization? Because If she's out of the SSR, that should've happened already. *confused face*
I think that they will at the very least jump towards 1947. Because I can imagine only one reason why they want to move Peggy to California of all places: McCarthy. If they want to deal with the fear of communists, Hollywood is the right place to be.
ReplyDeletePeggy goes to Hollywood? YES. Count me up. And that's definitely the place to visit with Howie Stark.
ReplyDeleteNah...he is already there. Because Howard loves the world of starlets and needs his faithful butler at his summer home.
ReplyDeleteI doubt that it makes much of a difference for the budget if they fake past New York or past LA. I have the feeling they picked Hollywood because they want to address the red scare.
