OH MY GOD. I am so in for The Muppets.
ReplyDeleteMe too! That promo looks awesome!!
ReplyDeleteQuantico looked AWESOME! This may be what reenergizes ABC's Tuesday 10 PM spot.
ReplyDeleteoKaP looks quite good! I hoped for a bit more edge but seems intriguing. They really need to promote the shit out of it.
ReplyDeleteThe Muppets & Quantico - I am so excited!!
ReplyDeleteThe Muppets and The Real O Neils looks so funny!!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to The Muppets, Uncle Buck and Dr. Ken!
ReplyDeleteAnd of course happy to see the other comedies return too!
So excited for these!
ReplyDeleteQuantico looks EPIC! I think this could be Tuesday's savior. I will be watching it on Tuesdays LIVE!!!
ReplyDeleteQuantico: Oh hell yes, I'm all in for this show. This is my most anticipated new ABC show. Hopefully it will thrive on the Tuesday at 10 slot *crosses fingers*
ReplyDeleteThe Muppets: I couldn't keep track at how many times I laughed throughout the trailer XD So freaking funny and now I can't wait for the show.
The Muppets WAS AWESOME! Dr. Ken looks like it will be a sleeper hit. Will be watching the rest of the ABC trailers today.
ReplyDeleteIn every shondaland's drama, the lead character is VERY good at her job.
ReplyDeleteQUANTICO : YES YES YES !!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! And I think it will be fine against NPH, and even if CBS decides to put Limitless there, I think this is something that'll catch people's attention more.
ReplyDeleteI echo your excitement.!
ReplyDeleteOil and The Family

Unexpected Wynn Duffy in the Muppets trailer! Absolutely love the trailer!
ReplyDeleteLimitless would probably get the Scorpion-post slot (Mondays) while Rush Hour (targeting males) will go Tuesdays.
ReplyDeleteOf Kings and Prophets : Looks better than i expected, still on the fence
ReplyDeleteWicked City : Looks awesome actually, i thought i would skip this, but after trailer, i am definitely in
I think I'm going to love Quantico and Uncle Buck. I have a comedy! Finally. Still hexing Fox for Enlisted.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so good!
ReplyDeleteMakes since. Regardless, I think ABC made the right decision putting Quantico at 10PM on Tuesday
ReplyDeleteI am all for Quantico! And the leading girl is amazing. :D
ReplyDeleteI didn't think Priyanka Chopra could lead a show, but Quantico looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteLoved Quantico, The Real O Neils, Uncle Buck, The Muppets, The Catch, The Family
ReplyDeleteDon't care for OIL or King of Prophets
Now I have to watch it for Jere!
ReplyDeleteIts like Wynn Duffy reacting to muppets! The Justified Spin off I never knew I needed until now.
ReplyDeleteWhere's the Catch?
ReplyDeleteI loved that whole riff in "The Muppets" promo of Miss Piggy not recognizing Gonzo, heh.
ReplyDeleteI will start watching now but thank you ABC, for releasing everything at once and not holding back most of the midseason shows (cough NBC, cough!) or the most antecipated show (cough FOX cough, cough again NBC cough again)
ReplyDeleteQuantico cuts off after 2:11.
ReplyDeleteABC is killing it! I was really skeptical of the Muppets, but after watching this, I'm sold! Quantico looks amazing, and Wicked City looks like it could have potential. Looks like ABC may be my favorite channel again.
ReplyDeleteQuantico, OMG I am hyped
ReplyDeleteThe Family looks very dark and intriguing and a show that's going to take you on a good ol' Thriller Ride. I'm IN!
ReplyDeleteOkay, definitely in for Quantico and The Real O'Neals too.
ReplyDeleteI like every new show on network, ABC you sold me.
ReplyDeleteTHE FAMILY LOOKS FING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MAJOR! when will it air?
ReplyDeleteQuantico cuts after 2:11, but it looks AWESOME already, just WOW
ReplyDeleteOf Kings and Prophets cant load for me,its the only one I havent watched.
ReplyDeletetwitter. com/QuanticoTV/status/598170813565673472 if you want the whole promo
ReplyDeleteI like most of these trailers except Dr. Ken, Of King and Prophet and Oil, Uncle Buck
ReplyDeleteNow, we're talking. SLAY ABC!
ReplyDeleteWatch the second part, it is much better, even!!
ReplyDeleteI am SO HYPED!
The Quantico video is cutting after 2:11 and missing the best part!
ReplyDeleteDamn I AM SO hyped for that one, it looks amazing!!!
That's how you do good promos!
ReplyDeleteFOX did also good promos, NBC was the only one im dissapointed at.
ReplyDeleteWe hear you :) Were busy fixing it. I'll update when its done.
ReplyDeleteYep, we're in the process of reuploading
ReplyDeleteNo worries, I was just letting you know, I can imagine how busy you must be right now!
ReplyDeleteNo worries, I was just letting you know, I can imagine how busy you must be right now! ;)
ReplyDeleteha, if only you knew ;)
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of Shonda shows but like Mireille Enos so will check that one out.
ReplyDeleteI have to say I'm not a big Priyanka Chopra fan (and I'm an Indian from India) but looks like she's done a good job and I'm def looking forward to Quantico!
ReplyDeleteGrading the promos:
ReplyDeleteQuantico: 10/10
The Family 10/10
oKaP 7/10
OIL 8,5/10
Wicked City 8,5/10
The Catch 9/10 (Bethany looks so sassy and amazing)
ABC OUTDONE THEMSELVES!
The Quantico lead is Priyanka Chopra. She was Miss World in 2000!
ReplyDeleteShe's also a very populair Indian actress. I'm really excited to see her in this role.
Dr Ken - I find Ken funny in small doses. A 30-minute show is too much. Pass.
ReplyDeleteQunatico - I was interested in this, but the trailer turned me off. A lot.
Of Kings and Prophets - Looks like a biblical soap opera. No Thank you.
Oil - Love Delroy Lindo, but not enough to watch this! XD
the Catch - Shonda Rhimes. Enough said. Pass.
The Family - I like Joan Allen a lot, but I'm not sold.
The Muppets - So nice to have a part of my childhood back. RIP Jim Henson.
The Real O'neals - God no!
Uncle Buck - Not a big fan of the original. Mike Epps is no John Candy. Pass.
Wicked City - I like a number of the actors, but the trailer did not make me want to watch.
Based off Trailers only, Dramas: Quantico > The Family > Wicked City > The Catch > Oil > Of Kings and Prophets.
ReplyDeleteBut I'll at least give each a try.
Jesi li gledao komedije, mene su iznenadile, ocekivao sam mnogo gore, posebno Real O Neals?
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure but The Catch looks absolutely terrific. Very excited for that.
ReplyDeleteAnd Quantico looks extremely well also.
ABC continues to be my favorite network.
Holy molly Quantico!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIf I could I would put it at 11 after Murder. Scandal, Murder + Quantico would be the perfect night.
Now if we can get Shane and Raylan "Muppet-ized" I will die in laughter!! XD
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly I loved The Muppets lol.
ReplyDeleteDisappointingly I didn't like anything else, sorry ABC, pass on everything except The Muppets.
Is it me or does New Piggy look like Natalie Dormer?
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know what The Family was before today and I'm shocked! Easily my favorite trailer tied with Quantico as well. ABC is knocking it out of the park with their new shows! I hope next season is good for them, they deserve it.
ReplyDeleteQuantico looks amazing. The premise didn't interest me that much but it looks really good! I understand the Homeland meets Grey's Anatomy comparison. Also, it has Priyanka Chopra as the lead. Love her.
ReplyDeleteThe Muppets is a no-brainer for me. It looks so funny!
Definitely will be checking out Quantico and Wicked City!
ReplyDeleteNe. Ne svidjaju mi se ni teme, ni postave. Videcu tek ako se neka probije da zapratim.
ReplyDeleteTvoja omiljena drama?
Quantico is updated everyone :)
ReplyDeleteQuantico and The Family were my favorites out all the promos. Might check out Wicked City and I will most likely check out The Muppets just for Nostalgia
ReplyDeleteI like the female cast of Quantico the guys on the other hand might get on my nerves. The Real O' Neals looks funny. I'm not familiar with the Muppets so I only liked that Pig Girl.
ReplyDeleteQuantico (WINNER) i Wicked City
ReplyDeleteExcept for the Muppets, which I will definitely check out, these all range from meh to downright awful. I'll touch on a few specific shows. Any shows not mentioned I didn't want to waste time talking about:
ReplyDeleteDr. Ken - I think Ken Jeong is great and they've really improved his role on Community this season. Unfortunately, that makes seeing this trailer worse. Fat jokes and stereotypes in the first thirty seconds and it just gets worse from there. Kill it with fire.
The Catch - Looks like it could be interesting. I'm on the fence about watching. What I'm not on the fence about is this show's chances of survival. Like almost all of the new ABC shows, it will not.
The Family - I've never seen a trailer like this one where almost all of the characters are so very unlikable.
Quantico - This show wants to be Grey's, HTGAWM, The Fugitive, and Conspiracy Theory all at once. Solid cast but the show looks like a mess.
It's no wonder ABC renewed so many borderline shows this year. Their new crop of shows isn't going to be of much help anyway.
Quantico looks awesome but the rest?! ....I don't "feel" the stories are at all for tv shows....
ReplyDeleteAs said ABC outdone themselves. Really surprised.
ReplyDeleteI knew what the family was about, but they hid the political background from us and that just added up. And that Wannabe Victora Grayson lead is knocking me out of my shoes.
Dr Ken. - No. Just no. The laugh track is an instant no.
ReplyDeleteOil - I'll need to watch a few episodes to decide, but the trailer was appealing, and I really like the cast.
Of Kings and Prophets - Pass, it didn't look great, and the acting...
Quantico - Looks amazing, best trailer so far, I'll definitely be watching it.
The Catch - I'm in. I wasn't a fan of the premise, but the trailer won me over, a classic shondaland show.
TheRealONeals - Loved that trailer, thought it was hilarious. I'll definitely check the show out. Could be another great family comedy.
The Family - I'm amazed at how much I liked the trailer. The kid "Adam" was creepy though at the end.
The Muppets - I have never laughed so much, the trailer was so funny. I was always going to watch it, but I'm glad it was a good as I was hoping.
Uncle Buck - It wasn't that funny, I'll pass.
Wickey City - Major pass, looked and felt like a typical crime drama which I'm tired of.
Quantico me je iznenadio. Izgleda kao jaka dobra koncepcija ali dali ce moci da popune celu sezonu? To je pitanje.
ReplyDelete"Wannabe Victoria Grayson" HA! XD
ReplyDeleteThe FOX trailers were great, but ABC's were fantastic. So many good shows this year coming from ABC.
ReplyDeleteWicked City was ungodly awful and Uncle Buck (i thought was going to multicam) wasn't that good.
ReplyDeleteThe Real O'Neals was awesome. Good fit for FOTB in midseason. I love Martha Plimpton from the underrated Raising Hope.
She looks stunning no wonder she was Miss World. She has edge, charisma and seems like a good lead.
ReplyDeleteSlazem se,mada je i pitanje hoce li izdrzati u tako jadnom timeslotu(AOS odavno nije materijal za leadin), mada mozda The Muppets bude poceo jako pa pomogne ostalima.
ReplyDeleteBoth FOX and ABC have impressed me a lot
ReplyDeleteYeah I think it´ll be just Quantico for me and there´s Danny from Revolution in it, it´s always plus for me :D :D
ReplyDeleteABC should keep doing family comedies... that is their strong suit
ReplyDeleteAgreed, I dont think CBS will be even close to these 2.
ReplyDeleteIf we can get Tim Olyphant to show up as Raylan and try to arrest Animal for something I'd be very happy.
ReplyDelete100% agree.
ReplyDelete^_^
ReplyDeletequantico looks alright but the muppets looks better.
ReplyDeleteI knew this face looked familiar!!
ReplyDeleteOva serija ima mnogo potencijala da sama sebe lansira visoko + moze pomoci SHIELD. ABC ima problema sa tim terminom, i ako Quantico ne moze da ga spase ne moze nista.
ReplyDeleteYeah!! I don´t know why, but when I see an actor from Revo, I at least check the trailer out,but it´s usually good :D
ReplyDeleteABC promovisi ovo, molim te!
ReplyDeleteI think so to. ABC is going to make me eat my words and I'm ok with that. A lot of these are just look fantastic.
ReplyDeleteAgreed on all points.
ReplyDeleteIt feels like ABC can't make a trailer without making the show look like a sappy soap opera.. Which I guess makes sense since they rarely make a drama that is not a sappy soap opera! XD
Aaaah I'm so IN ABC !
ReplyDeleteThe Family - I looooved it, potential for being a great soap ! The lead was good from the trailer.
Quantico - HELL YES ! I'M EXCITED ABOUT THIS ONE ! But why after AOS, it has the potential to be a big hit, reminded me of HTGAWM.
The Muppets - Looks funnier than I expected, might check it.
The Real O'Neals - Trailer was hilarious, I'm sold.
Uncle Buck - Looks good.
Wicked City - I find the trailer interesting but that's not my type of show, we'll see about this
Of Kings And Prophets - Not interesting at all, pass.
Oil - Better than expected, I 'll definetely checking this one out.
Overall, ABC you're the best !
I had a similar reaction to Oil - "Oh, hey. It's Delroy Lindo. Keep him and scrap the rest."
ReplyDeleteI love Joan Allen.
ReplyDeleteWow, ABC outdone themselves with DRAMAS, i literally loved every trailer and i am going to try every single drama show
ReplyDeleteOil 10/10
Quantico 10/10
The Catch 10/10
Wicked City 9.5/10
The Family 9/10
Of Kings and Prophets 8/10
I like of Kings and Prophets!
ReplyDelete"Quantico" looks pretty good, though I was somewhat reminded of "Traveler".
ReplyDeleteNext season would be major if they would give their new dramas a good time-slot and/or lead-in. The only one with a real chance of breaking out rn is The Catch.
ReplyDeleteI never expected FOX to impress me so much and ABC to disappoint me so much.
ReplyDeleteThe Muppets though looks hilarious, could become my new favourite comedy based on the trailer.
The last scene of The Family was creepier than every promo for The Whispers or any ABC show...
ReplyDeleteSo true. Example - Quantico is a fugitive/conspiracy show but they had to have the lead character screw someone in a car 30 seconds into the trailer.
ReplyDeleteI need this now!
ReplyDeleteQuantico and The Catch look great! ABC never disappoints me.
ReplyDeleteJa se izvinjavam sto upadam, ali samo da kazem koliko mi je neobicno da naletim na srpski ovde! :)
ReplyDeleteps. I ja sam skroz za Quantico. :D
I thought the same thing you did,Grey's Academy. XD
ReplyDeleteJust blehck!
The catch has the best chance to succeed, but Quantico could be a selfstarter and do a good job for themselves and maybe help SHIELD like HTGAW did for Scandal.
ReplyDeleteOil could do descent as well. It has that silly tone that could work with ONCE and mirror their ratings.
I rewatched the Oil, and im surprised i love it, has some serious potential
ReplyDeleteWicked City,Quantico and The Catch hands down the best ones.
The Real O Neals and Muppets are amazing, and Uncle is good too.
Pass for The Family and DR Ken and im on the fence for Kings and Prophets, will rewatch it.
Hahaha, ja sam otkrio skoro da ovde ima Srba! ;)
ReplyDeleteQuantico and Oil look the pick of the bunch to me, Kings and Prophets didnt really do it for me. The Muppets is probably going to be huge.
ReplyDeleteI think ABC did a good job, seems like there is something for everyone.
Kind of alarming how similar some of the Quantico setup is to the Grey's Anatomy pilot (the lead female sleeps with a guy right before her first day, brushes him off, then realizes he's a co-worker; a supporting character is a blonde, former-model who struggles to be taken seriously..) but it looks pretty great. The Catch should also be pretty interesting.
ReplyDeleteThis is an English only comments board.
ReplyDeleteEnglish only, please.
ReplyDeleteOK,thanks for the notice.
ReplyDeleteWatching for sure: Quantico, The Family, The Muppets, and The Catch
ReplyDeleteGiving three episode trial run: The Real O'Neals and Wicked City
Pass: Of Kings and Prophets, Oil, Dr. Ken, and Uncle Buck
Overall, looks like I'm watching a lot of ABC next season!! Mostly all of their new shows look awesome or have me interested enough to take a peek. Great job, ABC! I really hope next season is good for you.
Okay. No issue.
ReplyDeleteABC should stick with Family comedies, it seems to be working well for them. I think ABC have the strongest set of shows out of the three so far, ABC, FOX and NBC. Even though both NBC and FOX held back their best shows.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree
ReplyDeleteOkay, I was a bit nervous how Priyanka Chopra would stack up as a character on an American TV show but the trailer has sold me on her. Nice to see a lot of focus on her too.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely bewatching the family, thr Catch and quantico!
ReplyDeleteVictoria Grayson is unique
ReplyDeleteThe Real O'Neals: The trailer wasn't doing anything for me until the family meeting. I'm definitely in.
ReplyDeleteOil: I liked the first title better and I'm not sure if Chace Crawford can lead a show but I will at least sample it.
The Family: The premise reminds me of the documentary The Imposter. I liked what I saw and we'll be tuning in.
The Catch: I'll watch anything from Shondaland. And I'm excited to have Bethany Joy Lenz back on TV.
Quantico: Looks really great. This is easily my most anticipated new show.
Dr. Ken & Uncle Buck: Umm, yeah... Pass.
Of Kings and Prophets: I'll stick to cable for my fix of epic historical sagas.
Wicked City: I'll have to see how creepy Ed Westwick really is in the role. If the creep level is high, I'll stick around.
Wait are U kidding me? About taste shouldn't be discussed but U really think Fox did better than ABC?
ReplyDeleteI'm interested in Quanitco and The Family.
ReplyDeleteI'm very interested in Quantico and The Family.
ReplyDeleteYes I do as well.
ReplyDeleteThis was my least favorite crop of new shows of the three networks so far... by far.
The Catch was kinda underwhelming. I was expecting more.
ReplyDeleteQuantico looks awesome. Go Priyanka!
VERY underwhelming!
ReplyDeleteDefinite watch: Quantico, The Family, The Muppets.
ReplyDeleteWill check out: Dr. Ken, Wicked City
Pass: The rest.
The Family: SOLD! that looks pretty awesome. And what is teh kid doing D:
ReplyDeleteThe Catch: Looks good but it feels like its missing something i dunno but it felt kinda of meh for me.
Quantico: Interesting. Will check it out for sure. aready have a thousand questions.
Boom i mean, OIL: I dont know. i dont see it working.
Wicked City: So good to see Chase in a diferent show, he is a great actor. Im looking forward to this. I need it now.
Of Kings and Prophets: Moises meets Samson?.... It could work as a 13 episodes series.
ABC has the best drama line up so far, all shwos looks ineteresting enough.
Yh way better, on FOX I loved the trailer for TFC, I'm really looking forward to SQ, I liked both comedies and I always find it hard to get into new comedies, I liked the look and idea of MR but the cast is putting me off, still going to try it though. The only things I didn't like were Rosewood and Lucifer.
ReplyDeleteOn ABC The Muppets really impressed me but I could barely even get through the trailers for everything else. Just not my thing I guess.
Felt the same about The Catch. I was expecting much more.
ReplyDeleteI think Ed Westwick is on Wicked City while Chace is on OIL.
ReplyDeleteHmmm interesting. I'm always surprised how people differently look at things.
ReplyDeleteFor me Fox and NBC were good, some stuff great, but ABC wowed me.
lol iI chaged the names lol. let me fix it xD
ReplyDeleteQuantico looks pretty good, I expected better though.
ReplyDeleteI liked the TFC trailer, Grandfathered was nice as well.
ReplyDeleteBut we are all love different things, and that is the beauty of it. ^^
So Quantico will be split in current time with terrorist attack + flashbacks from training?
ReplyDeleteSame here. Easily the best thing I've seen so far of all the new shows.
ReplyDeleteNo problem. I make mistakes too sometimes.
ReplyDeleteThe Muppets already has social buzz 46000 likes on facebook, wow.
ReplyDelete2nd show on facebook by likes is Quantico 1400 likes(wow what a difference)
I absolutely loved the documentary The Imposter, and I agree that it shares similarities. That may actually be enough of a reason for me to check it out.
ReplyDeleteQuantico looks amazing. I liked Oil better when it was called Dallas. I hope there are a lot of shirtless Chace Crawford scenes or it won't last long with the target audience.
ReplyDeleteI actually haven't seen the documentary yet. A friend was raving about it a while back and I watched the trailer. It's been on my Watchlist ever since but I haven't gotten around to watching it.
ReplyDeleteIt felt like a was watching a Katherine Hiegl movie lol. Was waiting for the comedy aprt of it.
ReplyDeleteThe Real O'Neals: pass!
ReplyDeleteAt least it got OUAT very female skewing lead in.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping CBS can impress with Limitless tomorrow. I feel like it has the makings of everything I love about Scorpion :)
ReplyDeleteYep, I noticed that too. I think it will premiere huge.
ReplyDeleteIt appears so.
ReplyDeleteWicked City: I'll have to see how creepy Ed Westwick really is in the role. If the creep level is high, I'll stick around.
ReplyDeleteSame thoughts here. This is just a trailer but definitely did not expect him to be so good at being a crazy killer.
In regards to Quantico, because they're both shows about spies and the show could capture the male demographic as well.
ReplyDeletegood for FOB, it deserves to increase it's ratings
ReplyDeletePlus is that Mireille really accent (voice). Was kinda off-putting.
ReplyDeleteI highly recommend it. If you like dark documentaries, you'll love it. I watched it quite some time ago, but it was so twisted that I remember everything about it
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I was very disappointed in Quantico's trailer. The script is much better than what they put on screen.
ReplyDeleteIt's going to likely do as well as Forever in that timeslot, especially if Limitless or Rush Hour lands there.
Best Time Ever with Neil Parick Harris caught a huge break. Not only will Quantico not appeal to its audience, but Quantico was not presented well. That's bad news for Chicago Fire as it'll lose its Tuesday at 10 PM timeslot to Best Time Ever.
Limitless isn't the thing I look forward to on CBS. Supergirl, Angel from Hell and Code Black are my stars. Next season will be so overpacked for me.
ReplyDeleteImpressions
ReplyDelete- Quantico: 9.75/10 Please bring this on ASAP and please succeed! That trailer, especially the second half (looked like 2 different shows by the way, which is probably what they were looking for) was amazing. It seems to have everything I like on a drama mixed together. Very very promising.
- The Muppets : 1/10. I couldn't even finish the trailer. It's probably not the show's fault, it's just not for me at all, but I am sure others will enjoy it and I think it will be a success
- Dr. Ken: 3.5/10. It was actually better than I had expected since I even laughed a few times but as much as I love Community, I am not a fan of Ken's type of humor so I will really be passing on this.
Oil: 7.5/10 First of all, this 100% looks live a movie trailer, well done ABC. Second, I really have no idea what grade to give it and I am going just for some intermediate thing. I will at least check it out but the problem I have with this is that from the trailer I have no clue what the show will be like on a weekly basis. I at least approve ABC's effort to go different, but this didn't even seem overly soapy to me, so I really don't know what to expect, could be horribly boring. I will check it out and see what comes of it.
The Catch: 8/10. I was expecting more. I liked it, but I was expecting more. This being said, I didn't even like Scandal's trailer and I liked Murder waaaaaay more than the trailer so I really do not care much for the trailer being underhwleming, I am still watching it.
The Family 9.5/10. Now we're talking again!!! This one looked awesome and Joan Allen is already showing that she will be killing it next season and she will be the actress everyone will be talking about. Looks very good and I think I will like the emotional component of the missing son as much as the conspiracy and mystery involved in his return. Too bad it is midseason
Wicked City 7/10. Not sure. It looks high quality but I am not sure the topic is interesting enough for me to check it out weekly. I want to sample it but my interest is not exactly top notch right now. But it seems like a good idea to use as midseason, short order filler anyway and Ed looks great in the role.
Uncle Buck and The Real O'Neals: 6/10 and 7/10. I don't really have a strong opinion on either and both had their moments.I liked O'Neals better although the whole religious aspect puts me off. I won't actively sample them when they come out but depending on how it goes reviews and ratings wise I might later catch up to them. Not a priority though.
Of Kings and Prophets: 5/10. Seems like a broadcast rip-off of the big cable shows like GOT and the likes of it, I do not feel any need for this type of show and the trailer felt generic and like any run of the mill big stakes movie or series I've ever seen. May be competent in what it will be doing, but I am sure others will be more competent so I feel no need for it.
The Muppets was by far the best trailer of the bunch.
ReplyDeleteOUAT is not particularly female skewing.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure the attack happens while they are still in training.
ReplyDeleteQuantico: Actually looks quite good... I may have to watch this but want to see how it does first
ReplyDeleteThe Catch: Shonda you've done it again... I'm in!... I don't think it'll be the next HTGAWM but the lead looks awesome and a bit gone girl crazy... Can't wait!
The Muppets: Just looks ridiculous... Looks like the office with puppets.
The Family: Looks intense but not my cup of tea
Of Kings and Prophets: Wanna be Game of Thrones
Everything else: PASS
Yes, that's what I am hoping, too.
ReplyDeleteThe Catch seems great as I expected, so I'll definitely watch it. Quantico was a big surprise, the premise didn't sound interesting, but the trailer was amazing, so I'm in for this too. The Family & Wicked City look really good too, Oil is also not bad, I miss Dallas, so I'll give it a chance. On the comedy side, I'll probably check both The Real O'Neals and Uncle Buck, though I'm not really sold on them yet. The Muppets is not my kind of a show, so pass on that. And pass on Kings and Prophets too, the premise didn't sound that bad, but the trailer wasn't really interesting. Overall great job ABC!
ReplyDeleteInterested in Quantico and The Family, but both will be cancelled.
ReplyDeleteI think Alex has graduated from the academy. She is wearing in FBI jacket in one scene after the attack.
ReplyDeleteIn concept there were a number of the drama shows I thought sounded good, but the style of ABC trailers tends to highlight the things I don't like and makes them look like soap operas. Just not my thing.
ReplyDeleteLast year I ignored that feeling and tried a few with no success outside of Forever which they cancelled. I don't blame them, the ratings were terrible. ABC just has a style I don't usually like.
For those keeping track,
ReplyDeleteUpfront Season so far to me:
Will watch a few episodes for sure: Grandfathered, Quantico, The Family, Minority Report, The Frankenstein Code, Blindspot, The Catch (for Shonda and not the trailer per se)
Will at least sample it: Oil, The Player, Lucifer, The Grinder
Will pass for now, depends on buzz/ ratings : The Real O'Neals, Uncle Buck, Wicked City
No, thanks!: People Are Talking, Heartbreak, Rosewood, Bordertown, Dr. Ken, Of Kings and Prophets, The Muppets
How is yours going?
Ranking the trailers by networks ABC/FOX>>>>>>> NBC (minus Blindspot)
ReplyDeleteI agree with I will watch a few episodes for sure except Grandfathered and The Catch. Not my cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteI keep forgetting about Code Black, I'm interested in that too but I need to see a trailer for it.
ReplyDeleteDon't know anything about Angel from Hell is that a comedy? I usually don't keep up with those, I just wait for the trailers.
Supergirl is an automatic pass for me because of Greg Berlanti, it being procedural and shared universe with Arrow and The Flash.
Overall, I would have to go:
ReplyDeleteFOX>>>ABC>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>NBC
Dr. Ken: the laugh track in the promo was really off-putting.
ReplyDeleteWow dude... Hater much.. Seriously
ReplyDeleteOf Kings and Prophets I was bored watching the trailer, this will be a DOA.
ReplyDeleteSame here
ReplyDeleteI agree. I won't watch it at all (couldn't even finish the trailer) but ABC will probably do pretty well with this thing
ReplyDeleteABC>>>>>Fox>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>NBC
ReplyDeleteABC has three Drama's i will check (Wicked City, The Family, Quantico), While on Fox i will only check out Lucifer and NBC Blindspot.
ReplyDeleteFrom the trailer, I got the impression that the pilot should almost be 2 hours, they seem to have so much stuff to cover. Looking forward to this a lot.
ReplyDeleteNBCs only good promo was Blindspot, another failure year for them
ReplyDeleteWill definitely watch : Blindspot, Minority Report, Quantico and The Catch.
ReplyDeleteWill sample for a few episodes: The Family, The Player, Lucifer and Grandfathered.
But nothing set in stone. I will drop any like a hot scone if my interest starts to wane.
My must watch list so far is Muppets, Blindspot, Frankenstein Code, Heroes: Reborn, Chicago Med. I'll likely add Limitless and Cordon here.
ReplyDeleteMy will sample is Heartbreaker, The Player.
The rest were passes for me. I'm not really that energized by what the networks are picking overall. FOX and ABC really struck out.
Definitely. NBC is a joke
ReplyDeleteWhy would both be cancelled? Quantico has a good shot with Shield's male leadin backing it up and no relevant competition until late November. And The Family will probably be ABC's promotional darling on the Oscars and slotted for Sundays at 9 midseason.
ReplyDeleteI get U. It all depends what U like and what U don't like.
ReplyDeleteI understand Ur soap opera point cause ABC loves it's drama and loves even more to push the drama front stage.
I agree with this. However, I will say that I didn't even like Scandal's trailer and while I did like Murder's trailer, the actual show was miles better than the trailer.
ReplyDeleteThe Family looks good, wow!
ReplyDeleteThe first half of the trailer yes but then the second half it has nothing to do with GA imo. It felt like watching two different things! But it looks awesome to me overall
ReplyDeleteWill watch a few episodes for sure:
ReplyDeleteBlindspot, The Player, The Frankenstein Code, Grandfathered, The Muppets
Will at least sample it:
Crowded, YMTETW, Lucifer, The Grinder, The Family
No, thanks!:
Minority Report, People Are Talking, Heartbreak, Rosewood, Bordertown, Dr. Ken, Of Kings and Prophets, Oil, Quantico, The Catch, The Real O'Neals, Uncle Buck, Wicked City
And she knows how to scream directly at the camera! Such drama!
ReplyDeleteNot surprised by that.
ReplyDeleteThe thing with Oil is that I have no idea what this show will look like on a weekly basis. It really feels like a movie. I will at least check out the pilot and we'll see from there, but I am, at least, intrigued.
ReplyDeleteCode Black has a great cast, I just need the trailer to be compelling enough to keep me interested during summer.
ReplyDeleteAngel from Hell is that comedy pilot with that psychiartist from Two and a half men, infiltrating a broken grils life pretending to be her guardian angel. Sounds quite silly but think it could work.
I don't think SG will sshare an universe with Flarrow. That is more wishfull thinking. I keep my expectations low in that show department so I can enjoy more if it's good
I think so as well. Just barely, but yes. Both are miles and miles and miles better than NBC though. FOX and ABC both did spectacularly well imo.
ReplyDeleteYes, I am looking forward to Limitless a lot too, in addition to Super Girl of course.
ReplyDeleteAoS is not a good lead in for any new show and The Family will only get renewed if it gets critics praise it (we don't know if they will or not).
