Voted The 100, AoS and Hart of Dixie. Almost voted The Originals but instead voted for Arrow because of the way the show has been improving within the season.
Again an interesting pool that's turning into "What it's your favorite show ?" Well Revenge & The Vampire Diaries aren't my favorite show but I think they did mprove from last seasons.
Agents of SHIELD, Revenge, and The Vampire Diaries are much improved this season. The second season of The 100 is even better than the first but I don't consider it improved because the first season rocked.
I still prefer Season 3 of Revenge over Season 4, even though I've liked this season more than some. By the way, have you seen my other comment? Finally watched ABC Sunday!
I liked some of the later Heroes stuff. I loved the Fugitives arc for instance, I think it's very underrated. And I didn't hate Season 4 as much as some people did, it had its moments (Despite the horrible Nathan-Sylar crazy storyline). Season 2 was by far the worse there for me, even the Villains arc was better.
I was hooked from the pilot, I didn't find those first episodes nearly as average as most people. But the 100 falls into that category of shows that are exactly my style so I would always be prone to like them and I recognize I am biased for that.
In my opinion season 3 of Elementary is the best they've done. So glad the writers got a wake call after the 2nd season which was pretty drab. Greys Anatomy has REALLY improved. The character centric episodes and the slow burning arcs (eg. Herman/Robbins) are the best things they've done in years. So glad its no longer going through the motions.
I thought they were some of the best of all shows. I know Revenge was just a clip show but I really adored it, it made me so hyped for the final run. It was the perfect setting, feelings, flashbacks and acting. I still think Emily Van Camp is delivering her best performance in the series during Season 4. Secrets and Lies was also awesome, some really insane twists I didn't see coming and the overall feel was great... the ending scene with Cornell and Ben was disturbing in a good way. And OUAT... you must watch. It was one of my favorite episodes. It's apparently very polarizing but I really adored what they did and I think you will like it too judging from some comments I've seen from you. It's very very twisty and surprising. Stay away from spoilers!!!
Agents of Shield all the way... Season 2 has been amazing compared to the first half of season one. Plus adding the Inhumans aspect is really great. It deserves more viewers and to continue its story.
Not sure how to put it lol. I guess post apocalyptic/ stranded somewhere type of shows with characters that are right away complex and make me eager to learn more about them as well as about the overall mythology of the show and that captivate my imagination with the endless possibilities that their universe presents
Only the last 6+ episodes are good (maybe even great) but the first 10 or so episodes are really boring. The fifth season, on the other hand, started off great with Nadia Petrova and Whitmore storyline. When they killed off Nadia and Katerina, it was really bad from then on. Markos storyline is not that interesting. Although the finale was awesome
I think part of my issue is that by Season 4 I had already adjusted expectations enough for it to be more feasible. Season 2 was coming off the greatness of Season 1 so I had a harder time. Besides, as bad as Season 4 got at times, it never subjected me to the weekly torture of Hiro Nakamura stuck in the Samuray era plot or whatever that was. That was cringe worthy, URGH!
Same here. Season 4 of Homeland is one of the best seasons of any show I've watched. And I disliked Season 3 for the most part and was only watching out of obligation until the final run of episodes (post Brody's return, when it got good again), so I wasn't really expecting for them to turn it around in such a big way this year, the show had me on the edge of my seat episode after episode, it was outstanding!
Not necessarily an accident. I dunno how it happened exactly but my theory is that Ben actually was there and knew what happened but that he is blocking/ surpassing the memory due to how traumatic that was. Maybe he was even the one who disposed of the body to protect Abby. I say this because they've made the point of having the Abby-Ben relationship be the central emotional relationship on every single episode of the show. The developments on this week's episode of Ben not remembering the night also support that IMO. Maybe she learned he was her brother or something and got jealous.
For me its Person of Interest and Elementary. POI has had some filler eps but on a whole this season has been fantastic.
With Elementary at first i wasn't crazy about Kitty but she won me over. She really added so much to the show and watching Sherlock and Holmes relationship continue to develop and grow has been wonderful. Jonny Lee and Lucy are just brilliant together.
3A and 3B of Revenge are like 2 different shows. 3A was Season 1 quality while 3B nearly made me give up on the show, until the end. I've only managed to get through 4A so far because the show has become painfully dull and TBH, I'm glad it's ending.
Lost, The Walking Dead, maybe Revolution though that was different, Terra Nova, Falling Skies. However, once you have the premise, execution does matter. Falling Skies is an example in which that one misses the ball for the most part. I still watch the show and it has its moments but it's really not on the caliber I would like it to be. Revolution S1 wasn't either.
Eheh I spent years reading Agatha Christie police novels, so let's see if it amounts to something or not ahah. I think over the next few episodes they will probably explore the possibility of Christie and Dave as suspects since it hasn't been done yet and there is potential for story there, especially Christie, but in the finale I would expect something more surprising like my theory. We'll see.
The Walking Dead is my favorite show on television at the moment so I am a big suspect there. The Season 5 premiere is pretty violent yeah, as is the penultime episode of the season, but I think those are the two biggest ones, the others are relatively average for its standards.
Oh and I forgot in my previous answer, Battlestar Galactica, one of my favorite shows of all time!
Revenge has always done such enticing promos that I think it's hard to rank them. I remember one from Season 1 that always struck with me which was the one in which Tyler had everyone at gunpoint in the beach house. Do you remember that one? The promo was absolutely insane, probably my favorite over the years.
I agree with that comment, though our extent varies. I agree entirely that 3A and 3B were entirely different and I always make a point of separating the two when ranking the seasons. I didn't however disliked Season 3B as much as you did even if it was one of Revenge's weaker runs. I like Season 4 (A and B) better than 3B for the most part, though less than 3A.
I have yet to watch Daredevil, so I can't comment there. But we have to agree to disagree on Arrow, I love what they are doing this season and most of the arcs they've done. I hate the premise though, of Sara dying, but I've learned to live with it, and since the spin off news I am even more ok with getting past that.
The hype it is getting everywhere is absolutely insane. But it is impossible for me to binge watch a show at the moment, as much as I want to, as it would require me not to watch any of my regular shows, half of which I am not even keeping up with anymore due to lack of time. Daredevil will probably be in June for me. Until the end of the regular season I have enough on my plate and once it ends I need some time to get caught up with everything I've set aside. Then I will go to new shows and Daredevil is the #1 on that list.
Everyone killed it-Especially Charlie & Vincent.Exceptional writing, acting, action sequences & earth shattering twists. You'll love it for sure,i have no doubt!
Daredevil is good however i like all the comic book shows equally i cant decide which one is better because all of them are good... well except Gotham as i don't watch that.
I would rather she lived. She already had Emily dying in this episode, Amanda should be allowed to live. But if it is well done I could get behind it, even if it would not be my preferred ending.
Just because of the huge focus their relationship is getting I think it isn't Abby. Still don't know who it is. Maybe a not so prominent but present character. Like the wife's brother or someone. But we should mostly get suspicious if someone gets major focus out of nowhere.
That is possible but if they do a too a character that has been too minor it could feel like a cop out. The uncle is still good enough but more minor than that and i think it becomes forced.
The 100 Agents of Shield The Vampire Diaries even though I think this should be the last season unless next season Bonnie get to shine also Revenge improve but I think if renew this should be the last season thirteen episodes wrap up
I know all tv shows are soap opera in a way but Arrow has become more of that with Oliver Felicity and Ray I'm not a shipper especially on superheroes shows because you already know who they are destined with granted the writers can change it
If it was going to be ratings wise it wouldn't make sense to be a poll since that would be a factual thing and not a subjective one about which each people could have an opinion.
The Musketeers, Banshee (although both were absolutely fine before, they really upped the ante this year), and Atlantis (which really did to improve over season 1's messy start).
I was hooked from the beginning as well. The 100 is one of my top three shows right now. I hope that the writing continues to be strong because the cast nails it every time. I can't wait for next season.
Well AOS improved at the end of the 2013/2014 season but its still getting better this season I picked that.
Also Elementary. I nearly gave up on it at the end of S2 with the Mycroft plotline but its a whole lot better in S3. The Kitty subplot worked so well, as did Joan going it alone for a while and now they are back together it feels like a stronger friendship than before.
These all sound like shows where survival is the core. A show where the characters are put in a new world (or island) which has yet to be explored. Since having watched Lost last summer and loving The 100, my interest in these kinds of shows has grown. Terra Nova is a series I bought on DVD and still plan to watch, but it's just one season. Revolution is a series I could have watched, I once saw a trailer for it and it looked interesting. But knowing that it ends in a cliffhanger, I'm hesistant to watch it. If you have any other shows (besides TWD and Falling Skies, which I won't watch) that fall in the category, please let me know. I am looking for something to fill my Lost/The 100 void lol.
By the way, I agree with you that The 100 had me hooked from the beginning as well. I too didn't think the first few episodes were as bad as everyone says they are.
I wanted to pick a few AOS, Blacklist, Arrow, Originals, blue bloods, SVU, Greys anatomy and Grimm have had great seasons I don't really think about which season is the best....I take it one episode at a time lol 👍
The problem is they're bringing in too many people and they're not developing the characters at all. So then the writers have all these characters and they get like one episode for them *cough* Diggle *cough* and the rest of the time they're just there. I'm sad (SPOILER) Roy is not being a regular next season, but I cannot blame him because he wasn't really given a good storyline this season. Well I could say that of all the characters in this season to be honest. It's such a mess. I hope next season is better.
I agree; I have enjoyed a this season a lot, but it is nowhere near the quality of season 2... well, maybe these last 2 episodes, but as a whole it is still miles away
The 100 would be my second choice, it improved midway through the first season (first 4-5 are meh, including the infamous "We are back" dialogue at the pilot) but it took a step forward in season two regardless of it.
Watch Battlestar Galactica. It's one of my favorite shows of all time. A lot of people say it is basically Lost, but in space, and while I think that is an over simplification, I can't really disagree with it. You need to watch it in the proper order though (it started as a TV special in two parts that serves as a pilot, so S0 basically, then it goes into the regular seasons but there are some movies in between If you decide to watch it, let me know, and I will fix you up with the right order). The show has some of the most compelling characters I've seen and the "grey" decisions they are forced to make to survive is pretty much The 100-esque, the two shows are crazy similar. I think you will really like it.
for me, it is definitely Hart of Dixie, each episode was so good.... unfortunately, there are more series that got worse like Revenge, Grimm and Arrow :/
Yeah, I have been thinking BSG might be something for me. Especially because I really enjoyed the Ark scenes in season 1 of The 100. I might give it a try in summer, thanks for the tip! I noticed it started out as a miniseries and then there is the regular series.
Yes I want to see Laurel becoming more of the Black Canary also want to see her stand up to her father he use to be my favorite but he become an ass and to me he seems to love Sara and idolizes her more then Laurel I understand why she did it but I don't agree on how she did it about Sara
I know that I might be in the minority but I found Revebge much better this season then how it has been for the past couple of seasons. OUAT too has gotten much better, I'm especially loving the season 4B arc.
Sadly I don't really have any shows that improved except that there was improvement in action on Agents of SHIELD (I'm a bit iffy on some of the plot lines.
Yes, but the mini-series thing is essentially just an extended pilot. It ends with a cliffhanger and all that so it was always supposed to be continued I believe. One thing to bear in mind: stay away from wikipedia/ imdb/ etc pages. Because things on the show are very often misleading, even reading character synopsis and stuff like that would take away the twists. I think you will really love it and those arc scenes are quite a good comparison, even if BSG is obviously much more than that. Oh I am getting quite nostalgic about the series right now. It's so good. Let me know how that goes!
Sunil at one point mentioned( I forgot where I read it) that if the show were to end Emily would get some type of happy ending. Not a completely happy one though.
If there's something I learned from bingeing Lost, it's staying from these kind of sites. I regularly got myself spoiled by looking at them. For example, when it was first hinted that Christian had a daughter, I went to Wikipedia because I wanted to know who it was. Then I had read it, and I wish I didn't.
And now I'm actually getting really excited for BSG, I hope I can watch it in summer!
The only 2 on the list that I think improved were The 100,which was already great and got better, and Supernatural, which is now tolerable on a weekly basis again but still nowhere near seasons 1-3. Most shows I watch have gone downhill and its the new shows that are saving the TV season.
The reason I didn't vote for Elementary is because Kitty left. I thought the show was much improved with her there but now that she's going it is getting dull again. Also I hate all teh bickering between Watson and Sherlock this season. Glad that is tempering off a bit.
Apparently you voted for your favorite too. Just saying. Of the shows on the list, I also voted for my favorite (The 100 just like you) because it was the most improved in my opinion. Others make a very valid point that season 1 was already high quality and therefore don't see it as that big of an improvement. I also voted for Supernatural, which despite my icon, I haven't enjoyed since season 7 and now I like enough to watch weekly again. It was a big jump in improvement for me. Obviously people are going to vote for a show they like and opinions differ. For instance, I think SHIELD was vastly better at the end of season 1 than it is now but I know that others think it is at its best right now. My rambling point being that just because someone votes for their favorite show doesn't also mean that they are voting for it just because it is their favorite. They could think it is most improved as well.
Honestly, Quentin's behaviour in last episodes is out of proportion. They just needed someone to go after the Arrow and chose him. It makes no sense at all, I understand he's hurting about them not telling him about Sara, bUT REALLY. I even understand he'd be upset with Laurel for not telling him, but Oliver?? it was Laurel's decision not to tell him, Oliver was just following Laurel because it's her father not his and he respected what she wanted. Okay I could understand that in the end, in Quentin's head it was Oliver's fault because he took Sara with him and they ended up in the island and/or in the league of assassins... but it's too out of proportion. And like you said, he's just lost a daughter and he lashes out on Laurel and in the end he's alone with no daughter, like Laurel doesn't matter because Sara was everything. It's out of character to be mad this long, the storylines this season are too weak, i cannot feel them at all :(
Most of my returning shows have been a little disappointing too. It surprises me because usually I have a clear front runner for the Most Improved Returning Show category for my end of season awards. This year I don't even have a real standout, especially since for right now The 100 is going to get Best Returning Show. This season has been all about the new shows. Giving out awards for new shows is going to be tricky because quite frankly they are of better quality this season.
Grimm got better when Trubel came and it has gone off the deep end since she left. I don't evenknow what the writers are doing these days. I spend most of my time eye rolling over the characters and storylines.
I felt like Hannibal and Person of Interest's most recent seasons were slight steps down from their previous season. Supernatural S10 is a little bit of an improvement over 9, but it's pretty slight. Resurrection's quality is relatively unchanged. But Agents of SHIELD is so much better this season than last.
Yes Season 3 is really hard to stomach until the very end when it gets better again. But in my opinion Season 4 is even better than Season 2 as a whole (Season 2 was utterly incredible in the early portion but it dragged a bit post the Brody reveal I felt).
Yes, I know that he gave her inspiration for haircut and other things, but I'm not a fan of that relationship. For me best episoeds of the season were right after she left.
There are a lot of reasons I think that. The main one being the show started as and is supposed to be about a team and that couldn't be less true this season, there are so many lies, mistrust and new people constantly coming into it. My favourite member of the team, Ward, is gone off the rails. The relationships the team had that I loved so much have been destroyed. Normally I'd like serialised (this season) over procedural (last season), but it's just not working for me. They are trying to keep the campiness and comedic elements they had last season as well but at the same time making it more serious and I'm not liking that either, one or the other but you can't have both.
From the shows I watch, I always feel each season has stronger & weaker episodes, but I do not think any of the shows I love and watch has "improved" (is better in quality in current season than in last season). I kinda liked both previous and current seasons (Elementary, Castle, NCISLA, CM....(my main shows I watch) From the shows I keep up with via news and randomly watching I would say NCIS. They had, in my opinion, been running in circles for years, and though on a show that has been on air for so long things mostly are on repeat, and so on, they have kind of IMO found "their voice & dynamic" again...a bit. Compared to the last 4 years at least.
SHIELD, The 100, Banshee, The Walking Dead. Also went with The Blacklist though it's only due to an improvement from 2B on everything before it - 2A sucked.
Didn't go with POI because I don't think it's that much better as a whole this season. Quite a few weaker episodes in the last couple of months have prevented that. Still amazing though.
Not sure if winning an improvement poll makes justice to The 100. Makes it look like the show needed improving and I really already fell in love with it in season 1.
Ha, that's true :p I think they took a bold move in killing off Siobhan too though, and the action and storytelling was so tight this year too, plus that camera work on the heist was just phenomenal imo.
The Walking Dead & T100.. Besides a couple episodes I did not enjoy s4 of TWD so I'd say s5 was a big improvement minus Grady. s1 of t100 was great & s2 was on another level (most improvements in acting)
Banshee. After very good S1 the second season was underwhelming. Slow, to clunked up with meaningless stuff and rethreads. S3 was not just a return to form. It blew away S1, delivering one of the most fun seasons of tv ever made and setting a bar for TV action so ridiculously high that I doubt anything will be able to even match it, let alone surpass it. With possible exceptions of upcoming Cinemax show.
The 100's second season has blown my mind, stepping up every week just like season one did. I expected a come down in season two but thankfully I didn't get one
Revenge's fourth season has got my attention more than the third did but still, it's all over the place :(
The 100 and AoS were both already much improved by the end of their first season, but their second seasons have been much stronger overall, especially The 100's fantastic run this year. I also like Once Upon a Time and Elementary better overall.
I think Arrow got the votes out of confusion. Like, maybe they thought the show has improved as it's gone on, like it's improved from the start of the season to now as apposed to thinking that it had improved as compared to last year. Because that would make sense, since it is improving as it slowly gets to the conclusion of the Ra's arc; I enjoyed these last two episodes very much. It is not, however, better than last year's fantastic season. This one has had very bright moments, but very dull ones, too, where last year was almost all bright moments, at least for me.
The only one I could vote for is POI, but I'm not going to. I think this season is stronger on average than Season 3. But all in all, I don't see POI as the most improved show, because it hasn't really IMPROVED so much as it has PROGRESSED. I think the quality's been remarkably steady, and I like each season for what it is.
In my case I think Grimm has improved since I liked how the show started the season with Nick not having his ability anymore and show how he wanted his ability back not just because he started to like being a Grimm, but because he cared about his friends safety and know that the only way to help them was for him to have his ability back ( which was shown in the wesenrein act), I like how Juliette became a powerful hexenbiest although I didn't expect her to start to turning evil, but still I like it and I liked how Wu now is part of the gang. I know that the writers took some decisions that not everyone is happy about like Adalind being pregnant again for example, but I think that must of us know that some shows sometimes don’t do everything the fans want because if they did that then the show starts to get boring.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
The 100,Agents of SHIELD,Hannibal & The Vampire Diaries.
ReplyDeleteThe 100, AoS, Hart of Dixie and TVD (not that is a great overall, but compared to last seasons mess, this season is a lot better).
ReplyDeleteVoted The 100, AoS and Hart of Dixie. Almost voted The Originals but instead voted for Arrow because of the way the show has been improving within the season.
ReplyDeleteMarvel's Agents of Shield and Homeland by a mile!!!
ReplyDeleteHonorable mention: New Girl, The Vampire Diaries, Mom
You really are confident in S3 of Hannibal, aren't you? :P It hasn't even aired eheh
ReplyDeleteThe Originals, Reign, Nashville and Hart of Dixie. TVD is worse.
ReplyDeleteI went with The100, Revenge, VD.
ReplyDeleteThe100 is awesome, Revenge got much better and VD improved so much from S05 and S04.
That was muh bad.
ReplyDeleteTVD season 6 is much better than season 5 mess IMO.
ReplyDeleteAgain an interesting pool that's turning into "What it's your favorite show ?"
ReplyDeleteWell Revenge & The Vampire Diaries aren't my favorite show but I think they did mprove from last seasons.
I actually meant Season 2.It was vastly improved compared to season 1 which was great!
ReplyDeleteAgents of SHIELD, Revenge, and The Vampire Diaries are much improved this season. The second season of The 100 is even better than the first but I don't consider it improved because the first season rocked.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it could honestly be any worse than Season 5, that was really bad.
ReplyDeleteFor me the 100 and Revenge
ReplyDeleteI still prefer Season 3 of Revenge over Season 4, even though I've liked this season more than some. By the way, have you seen my other comment? Finally watched ABC Sunday!
ReplyDeleteI almost dropped The 100 after those average 5 episodes.Thank god i didn't but unfortunately my brother did & never came back.
ReplyDeleteI liked some of the later Heroes stuff. I loved the Fugitives arc for instance, I think it's very underrated. And I didn't hate Season 4 as much as some people did, it had its moments (Despite the horrible Nathan-Sylar crazy storyline). Season 2 was by far the worse there for me, even the Villains arc was better.
ReplyDeleteLet's agree to disagree ;)
ReplyDeleteI dislike it this season. The flashbacks are simply laughable at this point.
ReplyDeleteI was hooked from the pilot, I didn't find those first episodes nearly as average as most people. But the 100 falls into that category of shows that are exactly my style so I would always be prone to like them and I recognize I am biased for that.
ReplyDeleteI was hooked right away in the pilot as well.
ReplyDeleteYeah
ReplyDeleteElementary and Greys Anatomy.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion season 3 of Elementary is the best they've done. So glad the writers got a wake call after the 2nd season which was pretty drab.
Greys Anatomy has REALLY improved. The character centric episodes and the slow burning arcs (eg. Herman/Robbins) are the best things they've done in years. So glad its no longer going through the motions.
What category would that be?
ReplyDeleteI miss Slade wilson, what a villain!
ReplyDeleteI thought they were some of the best of all shows.
ReplyDeleteYep that's it.
ReplyDeleteI agree the flashbacks have dragged more often than not, but the main storyline has made up for that imo.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree that despite still being awesome, it is not better than Season 2.
ReplyDeleteHomeland is totally different show now and the fact that they're going to another location next season has me hyped!
ReplyDeleteYes I had forgotten to mention Grey's Anatomy, this year has been really excellent and the show has really recovered a lot of ground.
ReplyDeleteWho do you think is the killer?Mu guess-Dave for sure.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I saw one big spoiler for OUAT but that is all! I adored revenge as well! Great clip show! Also next week looks amazing
ReplyDeleteAgents of Shield all the way... Season 2 has been amazing compared to the first half of season one. Plus adding the Inhumans aspect is really great. It deserves more viewers and to continue its story.
ReplyDeleteNot sure how to put it lol. I guess post apocalyptic/ stranded somewhere type of shows with characters that are right away complex and make me eager to learn more about them as well as about the overall mythology of the show and that captivate my imagination with the endless possibilities that their universe presents
ReplyDeleteThe twist was pretty shocking IMO.
ReplyDeleteI think it is Abby.
ReplyDeleteI think it is Christyne
ReplyDeleteOh damn. You shouldn't have seen it if it is the one i think it was. It's really too bad because it was one of the best twists the show has done.
ReplyDeleteI always get spoiled...grrr
ReplyDeleteYou need to avoid it, seriously. How did you get spoiled on that one?
ReplyDeleteI have to disagree.Especially after watching the exceptional series Daredevil,it's seeming much worse to me!
ReplyDeleteOnly the last 6+ episodes are good (maybe even great) but the first 10 or so episodes are really boring. The fifth season, on the other hand, started off great with Nadia Petrova and Whitmore storyline. When they killed off Nadia and Katerina, it was really bad from then on. Markos storyline is not that interesting. Although the finale was awesome
ReplyDeleteIt is the one where ***** gets killed?
ReplyDeleteI agree about Elementary.
ReplyDeleteI don't even remember.... I think i was on a normal post and then at the bottom they showed a comment from another one
ReplyDeleteI think part of my issue is that by Season 4 I had already adjusted expectations enough for it to be more feasible. Season 2 was coming off the greatness of Season 1 so I had a harder time. Besides, as bad as Season 4 got at times, it never subjected me to the weekly torture of Hiro Nakamura stuck in the Samuray era plot or whatever that was. That was cringe worthy, URGH!
ReplyDeleteYou need to learn how to avoid big spoilers!LOL!
ReplyDeleteIKR! LOL
ReplyDeleteAccident theory? That would be very anti-climatic for me!
ReplyDeleteSame here.
ReplyDeletePerson of interest & Justified
ReplyDeleteGive me some examples-Revolution?
ReplyDeleteAoS without a doubt, although it was already making huge strides of improvement in the second half and especially the final third of Season 1.
ReplyDeleteArrow and Revenge being on this poll is... bizarre, to say the least. JMO.
TVD always does amazing finales!
ReplyDeleteThat's the exact word I've been using to describe this season lol a mess!
ReplyDeleteNot necessarily an accident.

ReplyDeleteOne of the best promos ever
You need to stay away! One place you shouldn't go is TVBTN, they love to spoil things up.
ReplyDeleteI agree, whoever thought of that plot should be banned from writing TV shows ever again!
ReplyDeleteFor me its Person of Interest and Elementary. POI has had some filler eps but on a whole this season has been fantastic.
ReplyDeleteWith Elementary at first i wasn't crazy about Kitty but she won me over. She really added so much to the show and watching Sherlock and Holmes relationship continue to develop and grow has been wonderful. Jonny Lee and Lucy are just brilliant together.
Hm... yes and no. Maybe you haven't been totally spoiled then. Go watch ASAP and don't talk about it with people lol.
ReplyDelete3A and 3B of Revenge are like 2 different shows. 3A was Season 1 quality while 3B nearly made me give up on the show, until the end. I've only managed to get through 4A so far because the show has become painfully dull and TBH, I'm glad it's ending.
ReplyDeleteBut it was here :D but completely my fault. I will try to avoid, Especially now when it is heading to the end of the seasons
ReplyDeleteOk i will :D
ReplyDeleteWow!That actually sounds pretty legit.Good one!
ReplyDeleteSeason 4B is way better and i promise. I have really been enjoying it. 4A was Very cheesy
ReplyDeleteLost, The Walking Dead, maybe Revolution though that was different, Terra Nova, Falling Skies. However, once you have the premise, execution does matter. Falling Skies is an example in which that one misses the ball for the most part. I still watch the show and it has its moments but it's really not on the caliber I would like it to be. Revolution S1 wasn't either.
ReplyDeleteI agree on this one.
ReplyDeleteThere were some episodes i liked like Meteor, Ambush and Atonement but this second half has been very good IMO
ReplyDeleteEheh I spent years reading Agatha Christie police novels, so let's see if it amounts to something or not ahah. I think over the next few episodes they will probably explore the possibility of Christie and Dave as suspects since it hasn't been done yet and there is potential for story there, especially Christie, but in the finale I would expect something more surprising like my theory. We'll see.
ReplyDeleteI finished watching TWD season 5 episode 2.The violence is getting too much for now, don't know how long i can continue.Great show nevertheless.
ReplyDeleteThe Walking Dead is my favorite show on television at the moment so I am a big suspect there. The Season 5 premiere is pretty violent yeah, as is the penultime episode of the season, but I think those are the two biggest ones, the others are relatively average for its standards.
ReplyDeleteOh and I forgot in my previous answer, Battlestar Galactica, one of my favorite shows of all time!
Shooting multiple endings was a pretty smart idea IMO.
ReplyDeleteFor me Agents Of SHIELD has improved the most, season 2 has been so so good.
ReplyDeleteAnd The 100 comes closely.
Yes I agree. And who did the whole Nathan-Sylar swap should as well!
ReplyDeleteYeah I agree.
ReplyDeleteI liked the last one very much,a nice remainder of all those epic takedowns of emily/amanda.
ReplyDeleteYes, avoid it :P
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I am fully convinced they are killing Emily in the Revenge finale now.
Revenge has always done such enticing promos that I think it's hard to rank them. I remember one from Season 1 that always struck with me which was the one in which Tyler had everyone at gunpoint in the beach house. Do you remember that one? The promo was absolutely insane, probably my favorite over the years.
ReplyDeleteYes! I loved it and the acting was incredible!!!! Next episode also looks amazing. RIP grayson manor
ReplyDeleteI think so too,she & vicky are definitely getting killed off.
ReplyDeleteTVD!!!! Season 4 and 5, especially 5 where really bad and boring! I almost quit watching. But I really love season 6 !!
ReplyDeleteLOL!I loved that manor!
ReplyDeleteI agree with that comment, though our extent varies.
ReplyDeleteYeah I think so too.
ReplyDeleteI have yet to watch Daredevil, so I can't comment there. But we have to agree to disagree on Arrow, I love what they are doing this season and most of the arcs they've done. I hate the premise though, of Sara dying, but I've learned to live with it, and since the spin off news I am even more ok with getting past that.
ReplyDeleteWatch it ASAP,the best superhero show ever made.It was that good.Ask anyone, they'll tell u the same thing.
ReplyDeleteThe hype it is getting everywhere is absolutely insane.
ReplyDeleteMe too! But the fire will be epic.. well it explodes
ReplyDeleteEveryone killed it-Especially Charlie & Vincent.Exceptional writing, acting, action sequences & earth shattering twists. You'll love it for sure,i have no doubt!
ReplyDeleteI think I will too ;) How do you rank your comic book shows by the way?
ReplyDeleteWhy is Arrow so high? Season 2 was like 100x better
ReplyDeleteDaredevil>>>>>>>>>>AoS>The Flash>Arrow>iZombie>Gotham.
ReplyDeleteAOS finally appears to have some good buzz on its side. I hope it keeps up and that the arrival of the movie helps it out a bit too.
ReplyDeleteNo Agent Carter?
ReplyDeleteAnd wow you really really love Daredevil!
Added now.Yes,i do.
ReplyDeleteI have also been convinced emily will die. It makes sense though. She has gone through to much to have a happy ending
ReplyDelete100% agree.Maybe coz this poll happened to occur right after the insane events that happened last night!
ReplyDeleteDaredevil is good however i like all the comic book shows equally i cant decide which one is better because all of them are good... well except Gotham as i don't watch that.
ReplyDeleteYou're better off.
ReplyDeleteI will let you know as soon as I get to it!
ReplyDeleteI would rather she lived. She already had Emily dying in this episode, Amanda should be allowed to live. But if it is well done I could get behind it, even if it would not be my preferred ending.
ReplyDeleteOUAT!
ReplyDeleteJust because of the huge focus their relationship is getting I think it isn't Abby.
ReplyDeleteStill don't know who it is. Maybe a not so prominent but present character. Like the wife's brother or someone. But we should mostly get suspicious if someone gets major focus out of nowhere.
The one with the Beethoven music :)
ReplyDeleteThat is possible but if they do a too a character that has been too minor it could feel like a cop out. The uncle is still good enough but more minor than that and i think it becomes forced.
ReplyDeleteI also love the new cinematography. And the use of flashbacks is also brilliant.
ReplyDeleteYeah I get Ur point. It's a difficult situation. I'm just confused by the series finale synopsis.
ReplyDeleteThat's true :)
ReplyDeleteWell one could argue ratingswise its doing better then in s2.
ReplyDeleteI second this!
ReplyDeleteThe 100 Agents of Shield The Vampire Diaries even though I think this should be the last season unless next season Bonnie get to shine also Revenge improve but I think if renew this should be the last season thirteen episodes wrap up
ReplyDeleteIt definitely implied about the show quality, not the rating.
ReplyDeleteI know all tv shows are soap opera in a way but Arrow has become more of that with Oliver Felicity and Ray I'm not a shipper especially on superheroes shows because you already know who they are destined with granted the writers can change it
ReplyDeleteIf it was going to be ratings wise it wouldn't make sense to be a poll since that would be a factual thing and not a subjective one about which each people could have an opinion.
ReplyDeleteI am just saying it doesnt specify quality wise.
ReplyDeleteThe Musketeers, Banshee (although both were absolutely fine before, they really upped the ante this year), and Atlantis (which really did to improve over season 1's messy start).
ReplyDeleteI was hooked from the beginning as well. The 100 is one of my top three shows right now. I hope that the writing continues to be strong because the cast nails it every time. I can't wait for next season.
ReplyDeleteWell AOS improved at the end of the 2013/2014 season but its still getting better this season I picked that.
ReplyDeleteAlso Elementary. I nearly gave up on it at the end of S2 with the Mycroft plotline but its a whole lot better in S3. The Kitty subplot worked so well, as did Joan going it alone for a while and now they are back together it feels like a stronger friendship than before.
The 100, AoS, PoI and Grey's Anatomy from the list. The Originals and TVD also deserve mention as they are way better than their previous seasons.
ReplyDeleteThese all sound like shows where survival is the core.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I agree with you that The 100 had me hooked from the beginning as well.
ReplyDeleteAoS by a wide margin: Season 2 beats the crap out of season 1.
ReplyDeleteThe 100 also improved a lot, even though the first season was already great.
Also voted OUAT since I've enjoyed this season a lot
The problem is they're bringing in too many people and they're not developing the characters at all. So then the writers have all these characters and they get like one episode for them *cough* Diggle *cough* and the rest of the time they're just there. I'm sad (SPOILER) Roy is not being a regular next season, but I cannot blame him because he wasn't really given a good storyline this season. Well I could say that of all the characters in this season to be honest. It's such a mess. I hope next season is better.
ReplyDeleteI agree; I have enjoyed a this season a lot, but it is nowhere near the quality of season 2... well, maybe these last 2 episodes, but as a whole it is still miles away
ReplyDeleteHard to believe it is rating wise since most of the shows in the list have dropped considerably in the ratings
ReplyDeleteTHE 100
ReplyDeleteSome of these shows haven't even aired yet.
As usual, some people vote on the show the like the most.
ReplyDeleteI would say NCIS, it's really much better than season 11. The 100 is oustanding of course, but season 1 was already great.
ReplyDeleteScandal just keeps on sinking. Less than one percent care about watching.
ReplyDeleteThe 100 and OUAT didn't need improving but they are still much better.
ReplyDeleteDidn't vote for AOS because imo it hasn't improved, I actually enjoyed season 1 more than season 2.
The first half of TVD this season was a huge improvement over the previous season but imo the quality has been dropping again in the 2nd half.
Shield, OUAT & CF
ReplyDeleteThe SHIELD poll (or TGW's poll a year ago).
ReplyDeleteThe 100 would be my second choice, it improved midway through the first season (first 4-5 are meh, including the infamous "We are back" dialogue at the pilot) but it took a step forward in season two regardless of it.
ReplyDeleteWow you have already watched? I remember we making the deal for you to catch up in the summer eheh. Glad to see you have already done it!
ReplyDeletefor me, it is definitely Hart of Dixie, each episode was so good.... unfortunately, there are more series that got worse like Revenge, Grimm and Arrow :/
ReplyDeleteYeah, I have been thinking BSG might be something for me. Especially because I really enjoyed the Ark scenes in season 1 of The 100. I might give it a try in summer, thanks for the tip! I noticed it started out as a miniseries and then there is the regular series.
ReplyDeleteI haven't finished it yet. It helped me that I got a free week before Easter.
ReplyDeleteBut the sample (18 out of 29) was good enough for me to see an improvement over the episodes.
OUAT Stay with us forever please *-*
ReplyDeleteYes I want to see Laurel becoming more of the Black Canary also want to see her stand up to her father he use to be my favorite but he become an ass and to me he seems to love Sara and idolizes her more then Laurel I understand why she did it but I don't agree on how she did it about Sara
ReplyDeleteThat was like my most favorite promo ever. It still gives me chills to my spine when I watch it every once in a while.
ReplyDeleteI know that I might be in the minority but I found Revebge much better this season then how it has been for the past couple of seasons. OUAT too has gotten much better, I'm especially loving the season 4B arc.
ReplyDeleteSadly I don't really have any shows that improved except that there was improvement in action on Agents of SHIELD (I'm a bit iffy on some of the plot lines.
ReplyDeleteAOS and The 100 are killing it this season, so much improvement from the 1st
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that! The Season 2 finale is one of my favorite things ever (watch the two parts back to back as I did).
ReplyDeleteYes, but the mini-series thing is essentially just an extended pilot.
ReplyDeleteSunil at one point mentioned( I forgot where I read it) that if the show were to end Emily would get some type of happy ending. Not a completely happy one though.
ReplyDeleteDidn't it get a 2.1 last week? Isn't that 2%?
ReplyDeleteAlways SUPERNATURAL!!!
ReplyDeleteHm.. Wasn't aware.
ReplyDeleteHawaii Five-0 is so much better this season since they got rid of the Cath Rollins character. She just never worked as a full time member of the show.
ReplyDeleteIf there's something I learned from bingeing Lost, it's staying from these kind of sites. I regularly got myself spoiled by looking at them. For example, when it was first hinted that Christian had a daughter, I went to Wikipedia because I wanted to know who it was. Then I had read it, and I wish I didn't.
ReplyDeleteAnd now I'm actually getting really excited for BSG, I hope I can watch it in summer!
The only 2 on the list that I think improved were The 100,which was already great and got better, and Supernatural, which is now tolerable on a weekly basis again but still nowhere near seasons 1-3. Most shows I watch have gone downhill and its the new shows that are saving the TV season.
ReplyDeleteWow, 2000 votes!
ReplyDeleteThe reason I didn't vote for Elementary is because Kitty left. I thought the show was much improved with her there but now that she's going it is getting dull again. Also I hate all teh bickering between Watson and Sherlock this season. Glad that is tempering off a bit.
ReplyDeleteRevenge will not be renewed :/
ReplyDeleteWell, definitely not Reign, Hannibal starts in June, Grimm has managed to make Juliette even more annoying, so my vote goes to The Originals.
ReplyDeleteApparently you voted for your favorite too.
ReplyDeleteGlad I'm not the only one who thinks SHIELD was better last year.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, Quentin's behaviour in last episodes is out of proportion. It's out of character to be mad this long, the storylines this season are too weak, i cannot feel them at all :(
ReplyDeleteMost of my returning shows have been a little disappointing too.
ReplyDeleteYes, you need to stay away, really! That is precisely the type of things you need to avoid with BSG!
ReplyDeleteAmen
ReplyDeleteGrimm got better when Trubel came and it has gone off the deep end since she left. I don't evenknow what the writers are doing these days. I spend most of my time eye rolling over the characters and storylines.
ReplyDeleteI think Banshee improved just by adding Tom Pelphrey and it was already great TV.
ReplyDeleteAOS, TVD & OUAT.
ReplyDeleteGreys Anatomy. I don´t think Scandal improve this season
ReplyDeleteI think Revenge renewal will depend on how good or bad ABC's pilot are.
ReplyDeleteI felt like Hannibal and Person of Interest's most recent seasons were slight steps down from their previous season. Supernatural S10 is a little bit of an improvement over 9, but it's pretty slight. Resurrection's quality is relatively unchanged. But Agents of SHIELD is so much better this season than last.
ReplyDeleteI´m in the eight episode of Season 3 and I don´t like very much S3. Glad to see that S4 is better
ReplyDeleteI´m watching S3 and I prefer S2 by a mile but I´m glad to hear that S4 is better
ReplyDeleteAOS is the most improved for me by far and I actually preferred the first season of The 100 for the most part.
ReplyDeleteI don't like her and was happy when she left. Too bad it wasn't for good.
ReplyDeleteYes Season 3 is really hard to stomach until the very end when it gets better again. But in my opinion Season 4 is even better than Season 2 as a whole (Season 2 was utterly incredible in the early portion but it dragged a bit post the Brody reveal I felt).
ReplyDeleteI found she actually gave an increasingly bland Nick something to do. Being mentor was one role Nick was actually good at.
ReplyDeleteYes, I know that he gave her inspiration for haircut and other things, but I'm not a fan of that relationship. For me best episoeds of the season were right after she left.
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of reasons I think that.
ReplyDeleteFrom the shows I watch, I always feel each season has stronger & weaker episodes, but I do not think any of the shows I love and watch has "improved" (is better in quality in current season than in last season). I kinda liked both previous and current seasons (Elementary, Castle, NCISLA, CM....(my main shows I watch)
ReplyDeleteFrom the shows I keep up with via news and randomly watching I would say NCIS.
ReplyDeleteDidn't go with POI because I don't think it's that much better as a whole this season. Quite a few weaker episodes in the last couple of months have prevented that. Still amazing though.
Not sure if winning an improvement poll makes justice to The 100. Makes it look like the show needed improving and I really already fell in love with it in season 1.
ReplyDeleteArrow so high? REALLY?
ReplyDeleteHa, that's true :p I think they took a bold move in killing off Siobhan too though, and the action and storytelling was so tight this year too, plus that camera work on the heist was just phenomenal imo.
ReplyDeleteThe Walking Dead & T100.. Besides a couple episodes I did not enjoy s4 of TWD so I'd say s5 was a big improvement minus Grady. s1 of t100 was great & s2 was on another level (most improvements in acting)
ReplyDeleteVoted for the 100 (which was already great in season 1) and AoS. LOL, 171 people voted for Arrow? How is this season any improved from season 2?
ReplyDeleteBanshee.
ReplyDeleteFrom these choices Agent of Shield and possibly Revenge
ReplyDeleteCriminal Minds, without a doubt. With the exception of 'Breath Play' (which was horrible), every new episode has been refreshing to watch.
ReplyDeleteVampire diaries. Also, Revenge and Grimm.
ReplyDeleteThe 100's second season has blown my mind, stepping up every week just like season one did. I expected a come down in season two but thankfully I didn't get one
ReplyDeleteRevenge's fourth season has got my attention more than the third did but still, it's all over the place :(
The 100 and AoS were both already much improved by the end of their first season, but their second seasons have been much stronger overall, especially The 100's fantastic run this year. I also like Once Upon a Time and Elementary better overall.
ReplyDeleteI think Arrow got the votes out of confusion.
AoS went from "meeeh" to "Can't wait for the next episode". Plus, ALL my other shows got worse this season, not better.
ReplyDeleteThe only one I could vote for is POI, but I'm not going to. I think this season is stronger on average than Season 3. But all in all, I don't see POI as the most improved show, because it hasn't really IMPROVED so much as it has PROGRESSED. I think the quality's been remarkably steady, and I like each season for what it is.
ReplyDeleteI was sorry the her storyline ended the way it did. I was hoping she would be recurring..
ReplyDeleteThe 100!
ReplyDeleteWinners: The 100 and The Americans
ReplyDeleteothers: The Blacklist, Once Upon a Time
Thanks for the info! The S2 finale was soooooo good or at least the episode 11 :)
ReplyDeleteIn my case I think Grimm has improved since I liked
ReplyDeletehow the show started the season with Nick not having his ability anymore and
show how he wanted his ability back not just because he started to like being a
Grimm, but because he cared about his friends safety and know that the only way
to help them was for him to have his ability back ( which was shown in the wesenrein
act), I like how Juliette became a powerful hexenbiest although I didn't expect her to start to turning evil, but still I like it and I liked how Wu now is part of
the gang. I know that the writers took some decisions that not everyone is
happy about like Adalind being pregnant again for example, but I think that must of us know that some
shows sometimes don’t do
everything the fans want because if they did that then the show starts to get boring.
Person of Interest (beyond words to say how awesome the show is..a mini movie every week! Definitely on par with GoT and Walking Dead) & Grimm.
ReplyDeleteAoS handled it's return very well. I think they managed to avoid the sophomore slump effectively enough.
ReplyDeleteAlso HoD's season returned the show to a nice fluffy vibe and went back to its roots. I'll be happy that it's how the show bowed out.
