  1. Castle has had its time. It needs to move over for Forever.

  2. Castle is a bubble show? I haven't been paying attention to the ratings. When did that happen?
AoS, AC, Forever, Castle (I guess) and FotB.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Agent Carter and Agents Of SHIELD.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Castle and AoS are not bubble.
    I voted for Agent Carter.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Agent Carter & Galavant

    ReplyDelete
  6. Galavant, Agents of Shield, Agent Carter, Castle and Revenge.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Yeah just thinking about it Shield and Castle are not bubble shows. How bizarre.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Fresh Off the Boat. It's so hilarious, I love Constance Wu as Jessica and the kids are adorable!

    ReplyDelete
  9. 1. Revenge
    2. Galavant
    3. Agent Carter
    4. American Crime
    5. Secrets & Lies

    ReplyDelete
  10. Agents of Shield! And isn't Nashville also considered a bubble show? I would renew that as well!!

    ReplyDelete
  11. It was always on the edge. They actually wanted to cancel it after the first season.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Galavant
    Agent Carter
    Agents of SHIELD
    Secrets & Lies
    Forever

  13. Agent Carter and Agents of SHIELD. Is Castle really a bubble show? I may not enjoy it as much as I once did (because this season has been weak) but still watch it weekly. I'm a big fan of Revenge but it's run its course. I'd like to see it go out with a bang instead of a whimper.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Secrets & Lies. Glad that Nashville is not in this category :)

    ReplyDelete
  15. Revenge, Resurrection, Secrets & Lies :)

    ReplyDelete
  16. I specifically said, all shows that aren't 100% guaranteed renewal. I concede that AoS and Castle are likely to be renewed (and am a huge fan of AoS), but their numbers aren't at certain renewal level. Neither are Nashville's, but it's syndication-protected.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Revenge, Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter.

    ReplyDelete
  18. As I said in the title, for the sake of this poll, I counted everything that isn't 100% safe as "bubble". But yes, unlike the rest, AoS and Castle are considered likely to be renewed.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Nashville's ratings would normally place a show on the bubble, but a show that's completed 3 full seasons is almost guaranteed a full fourth one, because you need 88 episodes for syndication. Nashville is thereby considered certain to be renewed by most.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Castle, like SHIELD, is considered likely but not certain to be renewed. For the sake of this poll, I put everything except 100% safe shows under the "bubble" umbrella.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Revenge & Shield

    ReplyDelete
  22. Revenge for a final season. It can be shortened too, just give it a chance to wrap up its story in a good way.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Agents of Shield is a certain renewal, in my opinion, whereas Forever, Resurrection and Galavant are all certain cancellations. So I will leave these shows out of it.

I also would not say that Castle, Forever, Cristela, or American Crime are bubble shows but I understand why one's mileage about it may vary so I will include them in my answer.

In any case, my wishes for renewals are a lot, I hadnt realized how much at stake I had on Abc this year. Drama wise, i really hope Revenge, Agent Carter and Secrets and Lies make it. Comedy wise, I hope Fresh Off the Boat and Cristela make it. As aforementioned, I consider Agents of Shield, Galavant and Resurrection to have their fates decided already for the most part (lets say above 95% certainty) which is why I am not mentioning them, although I would like to get all three back as well.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I think they are on different levels honestly. I really think Shield is certain and Castle is likely.

    ReplyDelete
  25. None. Castle is just rehashing old storylines- it just feels like the same episode everytime I watch it.
Revenge should have ended a season ago.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Last season was Castle's highest rating, but this season has been almost its worst. Wikipedia has the ratings in a table for each season and episode

    ReplyDelete
  27. CASTLE! definitely needs to be renewed. I really hope that if there are contract or other negotiations happening, they all agree to do one (or two) more season(s). Because as far as ratings and popularity of the show, I do not think the network would cancel the show like this. I somehow feel like this is one of their crime hits, and they would do the "renewed for final season" thing for Castle. It also does not feel like the story can be wrapped up (without cramming everything to the season finale) with the few episodes that are left to air.
Also... voted for Fresh Off the Boat
And while I do not watch myself, I have heard others say good things about Agent Carter, but I did not vote for it.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I really hope you're right. That AoS series low has me worried. Compared to Castle, it does have the Marvel brand, the prospect of syndication and the fact that it's getting the same ratings out of a lead-in with barely half the demo of Castle's. O balance though, Castle is a 10pm show and probably cheaper to produce. I think contract negotiations are a bigger danger to Castle's future than its ratings.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Well AOS of course but that is getting renewed. So the actual bubble shows I need another season of are Agent Carter, Galavant and Fresh off the Boat.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Castle is likely renewal, but I counted everything except certain renewal here.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Revenge

PS : Castle is not a bubble show...

    ReplyDelete
  32. seems castle it up the leads' contracts. if they sign, they will eventually renew

    ReplyDelete
  33. Is it a "likely renewal" because of ratings or contract negotiations? Or both?

    ReplyDelete
  34. I'm actually enjoying this season a lot. I was skeptical of the new showrunner but he's doing a very good job.

    ReplyDelete
  35. They did? Huh! I always thought it was a very solid show. I need to pay more attention to ratings.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Both Marvel shows, Revenge for short last season and Secrets and Lies for another short season.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Yes the season 2 renewal was not a sure thing back then. It seems unreal now but it was a good example for TV execs to give a show a chance instead of cancelling it right away.

    ReplyDelete
  38. SHIELD, Carter, Galavant

    ReplyDelete
  39. Castle's writers had a full season to DO something with their characters. They were free to do it from September and they knew (at least since January) that the two leads are reluctant to continue. So if there is anything to "be crammed", that's their own fault, not the very rich story of the show.

Also the remaining four episodes would be absolutely enough to finish the only open plot, if they want to. They used only four episodes for Beckett's mom storyline in S5 and S6 together.

face it: either the writers have absolutely no clue what the hell they can do with the characters and hoped that they can live on the "Castle was abducted" plot for seasons - which means it's high time to cancel it if they are so dried out.
Or, they just thought they will have the luxury not to care about it, even though their numbers were sliding down and their main casts were openly thinking about leaving - then they are the biggest fool in Hollywood.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I'm surprised they gave it a second season; ABC usually pulls the plug early. Glad they did though.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Castle needs to come back for season 8 and I hope season 9.

    ReplyDelete
  42. agents of shield, castle, fotb and agent carter with revenge having a final season 5

    ReplyDelete
  43. Revenge (Pleeeeeease.), Agents Of SHIELD, Galavant, Secrets and Lies and American Crime.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Trade in a good show for a dead show?

    ReplyDelete
  45. To everything you have mentioned I would also add thr huge male demo it brings to the network which is very valuable and makes the rating numbers better than they look at first glance. I stand by my classification of a certain renewal. Besides, the ratings have even been a bit better than Castle despite the worse situation.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Even though it's not a bubble show really, I went SHIELD. Also Forever despite it being a certain cancellation. Also went with Agent Carter and Secrets and Lies.

    ReplyDelete
  47. AoS,Agent Carter & Revenge final shortened season 5.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Agents of Shield and Agent Carter, definitely. Also Fresh Off the Boat and Galavant.

Also wondering that Nashville isn't on this. Would use that as my #5.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I am not counting AOS and Castle as they are certainly renewed for me
My 5 picks are Last Man Standing,Agent Carter,Secrets and Lies,Fresh off the Boat and Revenge

    ReplyDelete
  50. Its weird no one mentions Last Man Standing at all, it deserves to be renewed more than mostly of these shows here.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Ratings. Contract negotiations could possibly foil it, but unlike ratings, we don't have any concrete information about those so we can't really make any predictions. If, however, the contracts work out, I don't really see Castle getting the axe. It's doing okay.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Fresh Off The Boat!!!

    ReplyDelete
  53. As I said in the title, for the sake of this poll, I counted everything that isn't 100% safe as "bubble". In FOtB's case, I'm not even sure it's still likely to be renewed, since it's been dropping.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I know it's doing better than pretty much anything else ABC in the young male demo, but are those figures genuinely "huge" or do they just stand out in such a female-skewing network? I'm not familiar with the numbers here so I'm just wondering.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Other than HtGAwM, the two Marvel shows are all I watch on ABC (I recently started Scandal, but not sure I'll continue as it hasn't quite grabbed me in the way HtGAwM did), so I voted for them. Although AoS seems safe, as noted by many people here. It's mostly Agent Carter I fear for. I really like the format of AoS - Carter - AoS they did and hope to see it again next year. It made the long AoS hiatus much easier to get through, and now enables the second half of the season to run smoothly without any breaks, which is a blessing.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Revenge for a final short season. Not sure why AOS is on there, as its ratings r still decent enough for a renewal

    ReplyDelete
  57. Fresh off the Boat and Secrets and Lies have blown me away so far! But I was LOVING Galavant. It was basically a disney animated movie, but live action and meant for adults. It was a fun show and I want it to keep going

    ReplyDelete
  58. Why does everyone think agents of shield can't get cancelled marvel has 4 tv shows coming out out on Netflix marvel does not need this show i am not being a troll or anything i just want to know.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter without a doubt! Probably Resurrection, too. And I guess Galavant and Fresh Off the Boat.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I voted for Castle (please sign season 8 contracts, NF and SK) and Forever (IMO, the most underrated new show of the season).

    ReplyDelete
  61. Farewell Parks and RecApril 3, 2015 at 1:38 PM

    Agent Carter.

    SHIELD and Castle will be renewed anyway;

    ReplyDelete
  62. Because unlike the Netflix shows AOS has the duty of setting things up for Capt. America: Civil War and the Inhumans. The Netflix shows get to do their own thing where AOS has become the foundation that the movies are being built on (this was explicitly stated during the building a universe special last year). I'm not even sure they could pull off civil war without all the groundwork the show's been putting in. Now they could just do more tie-in MCU comic books but I personally think Disney wants the syndication/merchandising/streaming/international licenses money.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Agents of SHIELD and Castle. Still need these shows in my life :)

    ReplyDelete
  64. Agents of Shield, Forever & Castle.... Also fresh off the boat & galavant for my Sons benefit (he likes the comedies)

    ReplyDelete
  65. Revenge but that if needs to be continued for short season 5 i prefer season 4 ending.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I would definetly renew Castle and Revenge. I think that they deserve a final season to wrap things up.
I don´t understand why they aren´t telling us what happened to Castle while he was missing. Are they going to in the final episodes?
Also, isn´t Nashville considered a bubble show?

    ReplyDelete
  67. Please please renew revenge for a short fifth season

    ReplyDelete
  68. Why are castle and AoS on this list? They are NOT bubble shows

    ReplyDelete
  69. And Secrets&Lies!

    ReplyDelete
  70. SHIELD, Agent Carter, Castle, and Galavant

    ReplyDelete
  71. Revenge to a short final season and AoS

    ReplyDelete
  72. I wondered the same thing.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Not sure why Nashville isn't on this list. I would renew that and AOS, and I would give Revenge a short final season.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Agents of Shield for sure, and i also voted for Forever...it's one of the best, if not THE best, new show of the season...i genuinely care for each character in one way or another which is very rare for me...i know it's very VERY likely to be cancelled but until it's official i'm keeping all my fingers crossed hoping for a TV miracle:)

    ReplyDelete
  75. This poll is more fair then the one at Tvbtn don't u think?

    ReplyDelete
  76. Oh yes 100% because the people Who visit this site are way more intelligent. And i am saying intelligent because they certainly know what they are talking about. The people on TVBTN just go there to hate on other shows. In addition, this site would block people like "guest"

    ReplyDelete
  77. I'd want to renew them all, but if I had to narrow it down if take Castle, Agent Carter, Resurrection, Galavant,,Rrevenge

    ReplyDelete
  78. Agreed! I like that we could have proper discussions here about revenge without having a bunch who stopped watching but yet still have issues with it, just trying to argue with u.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Syndication protected what is that?

    ReplyDelete
  80. Also I think on this site most of us have woken up to the fact that live ratings are not the be-all end-all of how decisions are made.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Sarah van BinnebekeApril 3, 2015 at 3:44 PM

Agents of SHIELD, Agent Carter, Cristela, because I just need more of everything.

Forever, because I want to see Henry deal with Abe's death when that time comes.

    ReplyDelete
  82. My first thought was Forever, but I would also want to save Agent Carter, Galavant, and Fresh Off the Boat. I thought FOtB was doing well though. I guess I'll have to start checking ABC ratings instead of just the CW.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Agents Of SHIELD definitly and Castle, Agent Carter, Forever and Revenge.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Aurélie HaffreingueApril 3, 2015 at 4:29 PM

Forever is just a great show! Currently the best for me. It absolutely has to be renewed #RenewForever

    ReplyDelete
  85. Fresh off the Boat

    ReplyDelete
  86. Forever, Agent Carter, Revenge and Galavant, in that order.
Revenge is my favorite on the list, but if they were to end it this season on a happy note, I'd probably be cool with that. I'd actually prefer that to having another season filled with more tragedies. I really don't think I can handle any more deaths!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Here are a few numbers then:
    - In M18-34, Marvel's Agents of Shield is the 17th highest rated show on broadcast television and the 5th highest rated drama overall (behind Empire, Gotham, The Flash and How to Get Away with Murder).
    - It is ABC's third highest rated show in this metric, only behind Modern Family and the aforementioned How to Get Away with Murder.

[Keep in mind that How to Get Away with Murder left the airwaves before DST hit so it is likely its numbers would have dropped had it remained on the air.. See also Scandal and Grey's Anatomy]

    ReplyDelete
  88. AOS, Agent Carter, Castle, Forever, and Revenge for a final season.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Agent Carter. And AoS. And Galavant.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Forever is such a great show, I really want another season.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I second... not happening though

    ReplyDelete
  92. Agent Carter (surprised that it's a bubble show), Castle, AoS, all for sure... Galavant for the sheer fun and creative possibilities in a short season, and then the honorable mentions would be Forever, FotB, and maybe Resurrection - if just to get a final resolution to everything

    ReplyDelete
  93. And Castle's renewal is all about contracts. Not ratings.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Forever and Galavant

    ReplyDelete
  95. Isn't The Middle on the bubble? If it is, I would MOST DEFINITELY save The Middle. Also Fresh Off the Boat it's very funny. Cristela is not very funny, but it's cute also.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Castle! Also Galavant, Resurrection, Secrets and Lies, and both Marvel shows! XD

    ReplyDelete
  97. Castle did not change but the rating system changed. So this difference is the weakness of the rating system. If the ratings were not charged it would have the same as the previous seasons.

    ReplyDelete
  98. AoS (even if you count only the strictly movie connected episodes) is a "free" advertising time for the MCU franchise, plus it provides the permanent buzz between the movies. There is an excellent synergy, which is IMHO around an extra 0.5-0.7 rating points worth of ad money on the plus side of the show.

    ReplyDelete
  99. I think AoS is starting to get into dangerous levels in the ratings, the last episode only got a 1.4.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Probably cause its safe due to syndication

    ReplyDelete
  101. Nashvilles safe for syndication

    ReplyDelete
  102. Nashvilles safe due to syndication

    ReplyDelete
  103. If a show has 66 episodes,it'll get a fourth season to get to at least 88 episodes to be eligible for syndication

    ReplyDelete
  104. Forever is so fucking good, I'll be so mad if they cancel it.

    ReplyDelete
  105. SHIELD, Last Man Standing, Castle, Fresh Off The Boat and Carter.

    ReplyDelete
  106. I see some people think Nashville should be in this poll, even though it's ratings this season have been very stable and it should be safe for renewal because of syndication. I watch both Nashville and Revenge, and if it comes to choice between those two, I hope ABC kills Revenge

    ReplyDelete
  107. As I said in the title, for the sake of this poll, I counted everything that isn't 100% safe as "bubble". But yes, unlike the rest, AoS and Castle are considered likely to be renewed.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Agent Carter, AoS, Forever, Cristela and Galavant.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Both Marvel series. I could careless if the rest would be canceled.

    ReplyDelete
  110. More people want Ressurrection back than American Crime. :(

    ReplyDelete
  111. Revenge and castle

    ReplyDelete
  112. None of them. Specially not Revenge, it has overstayed its welcome and should end this season, or with a special episode if any storylines remain open at the end of this season.

    ReplyDelete
  113. I'd Say AOS and Castle and the others would be Fresh Off The Boat and Secrets and Lies everything els can go "shrugs"

    ReplyDelete
  114. Castle, AOS, Agent Carter, Forever, Last Man Standing.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Was wondering where it was at!

    ReplyDelete
  116. As an Asian American glad to see a positive outlook on a show like that.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter, two of my favourite shows this season.
As much as I enjoyed Revenge s01-03, I think the show should have ended after the s03 finale. Emily Van Camp's acting has improved vastly since the start of the show, but the writing in s04 has gone completely downhill. It'd be best if she were to cross over to AoS/AC as Agent 13/Sharon Carter. :)

    ReplyDelete
  118. I am kind of surprised that AoS is in the bubble. I don't expect it to get cancelled at all.
    Agent Carter worries me more.

    ReplyDelete
  119. 7x20 episode will be about Rick's absence. Will 7x20 finish the storyarch or will it need more episodes, I don't know yet

    ReplyDelete
  120. "secrets and lies" is a miniseries and "American Crime" is as well. The latter is horrible. Both should end when they were originally supposed to.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Galavant was truly funny. Very clever. I can't understand why for the life of me they can't just make this a summer show. Their biggest recurrent star was Timothy Omundson (I adore him), or guest star Ricky Gervais (astonishingly funny). This can't be a budget buster, and it got decent ratings for a show they set up to fail at the get go.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Idk.... I watched the first 5 episodes of Forever and it already felt stale. I don't understand when people don't feel bored watching the same thing week after week. Like The Big Bang Theory. Ugh.
Oh, and Ioan Gruffold's horrific sudden after-episode-3 tan was so distracting.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Revenge, Agents of SHIELD, Agent Carter and Galavant.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Secrets and Lies is more like an anthology series than a miniseries. If it gets renewed, the character portrayed by Juliette Lewis will stay as the detective and will have a new mystery to solve but the character played by Ryan Phillippe won't be in it.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Agent Carter, Revenge, Fresh Off Boat (PLEASE!!!!), Secrets and Lies.
Those ones don't really stand a chance but I wouldn't mind seeing American Crime, Cristela and Resurrection (though it ended pretty well IMO) next year on my TV.

    ReplyDelete
  126. The points rating system or the system of estimating the number of viewers. Both are down.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Right the way both were estimated are changed. So it is not the show's fault for these drops. It is across the board.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Agent Carter - Because Peggy & co. are awesome and deserve many many more seasons

Castle - because, even though I'm way behind on that show, I want them to have a "proper" final season.

And I also vote for AoS though, I'm pretty sure that one is coming back.

There's a bunch of other shows I wouldn't mind if they got renewed, but nothing I'm too invloved or invested in order to care if they get picked up. (like Forever and LMS and FotB)

    ReplyDelete
  129. Castle/Forever otherwise yawn.

    ReplyDelete
  130. OK.
I just look at it this way: I like this show more than others on tv, so for me even the "weaker" episodes/seasons of this show are better than any other episode/season of other shows. While there are episodes I have thought clearly as "filler episodes", then when I compare the writing, and character development, and everything else to other similar shows, then for me Castle is, from writingcreative POV, much stronger than the otehr shows I have watched.

And while I agree that the "Castle gone" storyline could have been at least hinted at some point...more...they have always followed the tv formula where all the big things happen during sweeps (May... TBC...September), so I have not expected that to be really dealt with before. While the rational person in me laughs at the fact that all the "near death" events, explosions and otehr bad things, plus all the personal big milestones /engagements, wedding, babies) happen in May on tv, it is what it is, and that comes as part of the package with tv shows. One slow build up from September to May, then "cliffhanger", and a quick "all is well again" in September. And the circle continues....again.

As for this past season...I have actually liked it. The way it is. And I have not felt like the "Castle abducted" story line is their "stalling ticket". I have actually not missed the story much, because I have enjoyed the season so far. One thing though - not enough Ryan and Ryan/Jenny for my taste, but that is also nothing new. "Supporting" characters get one episode per season. That is just how it is.

You are correct about the "the storyline can fit only into a few episodes". Now that i think about it, it can be done. As they usually do so. I am not sure if they are gonna have only this next episode about it, or is it gonna take ep 21, 22, and/or 23 to "solve" it.

I do not care about ratings and viewer numbers and popularity. I know that is how network shows work, but those matter nothing to me.

As for the writers/creator, who write it from the story POV, it can go either way:

    A) They renew the show in the last minute, and they have wrapped up all of their characters stories. Then what about our plan for the characters? They wrote an ending for this current season that they intend to be the end of the whole series, but then they get renewed...and they have to continue the story, and at some point end it in some other way, because they have used their initially planned "the end"
    B) They get cancelled in the last minute, and they have not wrapped up their story. They have written it in a way that says they were certain they have more episodes/seasons, and they never use their planned "the end" for the whole series.
There are also options C) Renewed, but not wrapped p the story & D) Cancelled, wrapped up their story.
So it is tricky. As it can go either way in tv business. And I am talking here more about the characters personal storylines (like what they have hinted for Beckett...with the "captains exam" and things...which might have been the end plan that they are hinting at now just in case they get cancelled. If they get a new season, she will most likely decide against career change just yet. Same thing with the babies hints all season. If they get a last minute "cancelled" warning, they can perhaps add one little Caskett scene to the end of this finale that they otherwise might have planned for the future series finale. I mean personal storylines like these, not the "the ongoing plot of this season"

But all in all, I personally did not feel what I have read many say online - that last season finale and "postponing the wedding" was a "bad decision", and that this past season(s) has(have) been weak. You may think so, I do not.

    ReplyDelete
  131. ABC wants season 8 for Castle. The hold is with Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic, 60 hour work weeks get old fast, 7years might be enough.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Agent Carter. I haven't finished the season (I have a couple left), but I'm stretching them out because I'm scared it won't get renewed. I hope it does though!

    ReplyDelete
  133. Galavant, Galavant and Galavant
