I'm fine with it, but to be quite honest i think deep down I'm a little sad. It became my guilty pleasure in the beginning. But of course i couldn't really get in to it around season 2 so i dumped the show. Around season 3 finished airing i binge watched both seasons, i couldn't really get in to the 4th season tho.
I'm heartbroken about the fact I'll have to leave without new Revenge, though if it gets a proper ending I'll be fine. It should go out on a high note. Sure, Revenge had its ups and downs, but there was no episode I would have disliked. I'll miss it surely.
I want a short 5th season, but we will have closure in this finale so at least I'm not entirely mad at ABC. Still, it's really hard letting it go and I would cry of happiness if ABC orders a final season.
With the direction this season has gone, it feels like a farewell and I'm fine with it. It seems like they are tying up lose ends which I hope will lead to a proper ending. With Victoria now gone, I'm really curious how it will end.
I loved Revenge during season 1, continued to watch out of habit during season 2, and finally gave up after watching two episodes of season 3, so my response now is "who cares?." I will be interested enough to read TVLine's review to find out how it ends, but I won't actually watch seasons 3-4.
Up until the last episode, I wanted a short final season, but now with Victoria gone theres no way that they continue this show without her. I will still be pretty sad when it ends but at the same time as long as I see that theres proper closure, I will be fine with it.
I would have absolutely of loved a 5th season had the writers not have written the last few episodes of Season 4 as so final. With her being revealed as Amanda and the Victoria blowing herself up it feels as if the story is coming to a close. Had they written it as just a normal ending to the season and not made the episodes so final than I would be very optimistic for a Season 5. At this point though I don't even know what a Season 5 would be about.
I will truely miss the show!!!! My favorite show in years!!!! However, I think it should wrap up and you can tell that everything is coming full circle
I really hope it does end this season. They ruined the storyline in season 3 and butchered it beyond belief in season 4. It's time to call it. That yuppie (aka Emily/Amanda) is done.
Fine with it. The show was limping along as it was. This story doesn't lend itself to lasting for so many seasons. Hopefully, it goes out with a strong, satisfying finale.
Maybe I'm a little delusional but I have a feeling that ABC wants to keep the show or as they said not so long ago "the franchise". Also going by the spoilers and how the season is heading I have a feeling they wanna keep the Revenge theme and title - the franchise - and revamp it with a different cast, different creatives etc. If not this then it's for sure it'll get cancelled.
If Kingmakers is even picked up, I don't think it will provide the same interest and intrigue did in its first season. Revenge had such an awesome premise. Everyone was curious to see what Emily/Amanda experienced as a young girl and how she was going to get revenge against these people that wronged her. Revenge help improve the Wednesday 10pm slot for ABC and also would win the hour against giants such as Law & Order:SVU. I read that they initially intended Revenge to be an anthology series that would have different stories every year. Well I'm glad that didn't happen or we would not have been able to enjoy Madeleine Stowe for these additional 3 years. The ongoing battle between Victoria and Emily was fun to watch. We were provided with great moments and intense scenes. Also the friendship of Nolan and Emily was awesome. I just don't think Kingmakers will have a cast that will have the chemistry and appeal that Revenge did.
I agree, I will still check it out once I see the trailer, but even if it turns out good I won't be as invested in it as I am with Revenge. To me no show with a similar premise to Revenge could recapture the magic that Revenge had in its first season. Though I still loved the last few seasons.
Season 1 & 2 were amazing. Season 3 was all over the place but the first half was good then the last few episodes were good... The first half of season 4 was good but now it's kind of dragging on.. This is still my favorite show but I'm looking forward to seeing how it's all going to end.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
More like SpoilerREVENGE amirite? High 5?!
ReplyDeleteWell, I stopped watching after season 2. If it ends well (without cliffhanger); I'll probably binge watch in the summer.
ReplyDeleteCan we stop mourn Revenge (before it's time) and celebrate IT for the amazingness it was for 3&half seasons(exceptions season 2b)?
ReplyDeleteI´m not sad at all, I think it´s the right time to end it. Season 1 was great, s2 not so much and by s3 I stopped caring, sadly:(

ReplyDeleteI would have been heartbroken if the show had been cancelled without a proper ending.
ReplyDeleteBut now, I'm fine with it :)

ReplyDeleteI'm glad because it means maybe Forever has a chance to hang around.
ReplyDeleteI'm fine with it, as long there's a closure to the story.
ReplyDeleteWe will know for sure in less then 18 days !
ReplyDeleteThe ABC Upfronts are on May 12th.
I'm a little sad because I watched it for four years, but I'm also happy because it's losing quality.
ReplyDeleteI'd like a short season 5 to have a real ending .
ReplyDeleteBut all renewals and cancellations are announced on Friday 8th at the latest, I think.
ReplyDeleteIf anything, I would say SpoilerArrow or SpoilerOUAT

ReplyDeleteEven better !!!
ReplyDeleteAfter what happened last episode, there's no way but to conclude this series once and for all-As sad i miight be but it's time!
ReplyDeleteForever is dead,Revenge's fate has nothing to do with that one sadly.
ReplyDeleteI stopped watching Revenge at the end of season one so i'm fine with it.

ReplyDeleteOnly in a perfect world, sad to say.

ReplyDeleteSorry to disappoint. Not happening
ReplyDeleteTo me the show should have ended after Emily got her revenge.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone heard any good rumors about what is/isn't coming back?
ReplyDeleteI am sad but It is definatly the right time to end it.

ReplyDeleteBeyond heartbroken.
ReplyDeletemoi aussi!
ReplyDeleteTwo seasons ago I would have been really sad. Now I couldn't really care less.
ReplyDeleteThey're wrapping this season in such a way that I'll be okay with the series ending this season.
ReplyDeleteI would choose "Very sad" but then I remembered that Victoria is gone, so my answer is "sad"
ReplyDeleteAnd I've heard that POI and Elementary will be back, and that most of The Good Wife cast have signed contracts...

I think that this tells it all on how much Revenge is tied to this new pilot the Kingmakers

This makes me so happy! I want it Picked up!
ReplyDeleteUnless they have a "spinoff", keeping a popular character such as Nolan and have him help those seeking revenge, it is not going to work.

ReplyDeleteSeason 2 does end in cliffhanger Emily tells Jack she Amanda Clarke now is actually dating him.
ReplyDeleteseason 3 and 4 better then season 2 but i agree lack season 1 greatness.
ReplyDeleteIt end with Jack and Emily getting married she pregnant David dead from cancer.
ReplyDeleteThat didn't even love problem of her revenge she get it in season 3 finale you missed a lot.
ReplyDeleteRevenge actually really good show just people bored with it
ReplyDeleteI meant if the series ends without cliffhanger, I will watch it. I don't even remember what happened in season 2.
ReplyDeleteRead my comment above it tell what happened at end season 2

ReplyDeleteWow, is that true? Ben is going to die?! And what about "WG"? White Gold? She's going to kill Emily?
It looks like Jack and Emily are getting together
ReplyDeleteWe shall see. I am very confused. I never thought white Gold would actually be important
