Wait. After all the horrendous crap vampire Damon Salvatore has pulled over the years, everyone thinks that human Damon Salvatore is a bad idea? What possible justification for that point of view would make any sense?
This bachelorette party is so ridiculous. 1. Why are there only 3 people in attendance? 2. Where are Jo's other friends? Work colleagues at least? 3. Why are 2 of the attendants college students Jo JUST met this year? 4. When did Jo and Bonnie even meet? Why are those two friends?
Doesn't Alaric hate vampires? He hated being a vampire and is now human and happy. Why would these people (other than Stefan) be against Damon becoming human and not killing any more people?
Exactly what I was thinking. Perfect excuse to bring Liv back in to the fold. Not that I care or even want to see her but Liv makes a hell of a lot more sense as maid of honor then Elena does. WTF? TPTB just wanted the imagery of Damon and Elena being up at the altar, but...not really
1.Human Damon would be cranky & whiny all the time,Basically Jeremy this entire season 6.So,thanks but no thanks.Keep him a vampire. 2.I'm so over Elena's sudden need to have babies & play house.Talk about being irritating till the end.3 more episodes of her, right? 3.There better be male strippers, you hear me writers!
Great Delena-y episode tonight from @brettwmatthews and @rsonnenshine, who are also currently accepting "Where Caroline went" fanfiction-Caroline Dries tweeted this. This is our showrunner. No wonder this show is the next Breaking Bad!!
ANSWERS: 1. Jo doesn't have any other friends. 2. Jo doesn't have any other friends, or colleagues she speaks to. 3. Jo doesn't have any other friends. 4. I don't know when Jo ever met Bonnie. Bonnie is Elena's roommate so she came along
Damon Salvatore has to remain a vampire because: 1. Human Damon would be boring; he would lose that vampire edginess thing he has going on. 2. Only vampires are allowed to be crazy and impulsive, and fall in love with their brother's girl. 3. He wouldn't be an eternal stud anymore - just a stud. 4. There's no one else who would be able, and even eager, to torture people when necessary. 5. The "eternity of misery" promise would make no sense anymore. 6. He barely smirks anymore; he would probably never smirk if he were human. 7. Killing is natural for a vampire but if he were human he'd get arrested. 8. We wouldn't have anybody to kick around anymore.
I'm not trying to make light of your outrage; I read your comment and inspiration hit! I hope you know that my tongue was firmly in my cheek as I wrote. Also, in the spirit of full disclosure, I adore Damon Salvatore, Vampire.
I don't want a human Damon either but I have a very difficult time figuring out, from the perspective of the other characters on the show, why they would object to a human Damon. Logically, you'd figure almost everyone would love the idea.
Just a few thoughts. Who is "everyone'? Stefan wouldn't want to lose his brother to old age and death. Lily can't love her sons right now so presumably wouldn't care either way, but I don't count her out to be revengeful toward both of them. Enzo frequently reminds Damon how he left Enzo to die but they are still friends of a sort, and Enzo seems more interested in hating Stefan than weakening Damon. Matt hates vampires so yes, he would want a human Damon or better yet a dead Damon - he's gotten so bitter. Alaric is still buddies with Damon although not like before, but his approach seems to be live and let live. I don't think Jo or Tyler have an opinion either way; they don't interact with Damon on any meaningful level. Elena, at this point I don't even know whether she believes Damon will actually become human (I know I don't). I think she wants it for herself and Damon comes second. Caroline has got such a full plate right now and I don't think Damon's on it despite his earlier mistreatment of her. Bonnie has always hated vampires but there is a friendship, although strained, between them now. Even so she has changed so much that at this point I'd consider her a wild card. And I find the fact that she now has Damon's blood inside her to be very ominous. Have I left anyone out?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

It's ridiculous. I totally agree, and it's awful that Elena will be Jo's maid of honor. Where is Liv? Her sister?

Honestly - what is all very complicated is where is Liiv during Jo's bachelorette party.
ReplyDeletethe show is not only for the living dead but also the brain dead.
ReplyDeleteANSWERS:
ReplyDelete1. Jo doesn't have any other friends.
2. Jo doesn't have any other friends, or colleagues she speaks to.
3. Jo doesn't have any other friends.
4. I don't know when Jo ever met Bonnie. Bonnie is Elena's roommate so she came along
because...Jo doesn't have any other friends.
We now know the oh-so-convenient answer: Liv won't answer Jo's calls.
