Southland alumna Regina King has joined the upcoming second season of HBO drama series The Leftovers as a new regular opposite Justin Theroux and Amy Brenneman. She will play one of the major new roles on the spiritual post-Rapture drama, which is undergoing a creative revamp heading into Season 2, moving the setting from Mapleton, New York to a Texas town. King will play Erika Murphy, a doctor who runs the local urgent care in the town. She is married with two kids.

When is the show finally coming back anyway? I really miss it, I adored the first season of this show.
ReplyDeleteNo date yet unfortunately. Like you, I loved the first season
ReplyDeleteYeah, that is quite depressing (fitting to the show :P). By the way, my question was more rhetorical/ a general complaint lol, I know there is no date yet ;) I think maybe we luck out and they put it on the fall to replace Boardwalk Empire. I don't think they've announced anything for that role yet, have they? (and this time it isn't rhetorical ahah :P)
ReplyDeleteI loved the first season, but I still don't get why they're doing this for season two.
ReplyDeleteI trust them and hope it's for the best.
Regina was one of my favourite parts of the excellent Southland, so I'm excited by this.
