I really can't stand that scene with Cisco and Laurel. I'm tired of seeing it, and i haven't even fully seen it. It irks me. I hate that costume on Oliver too. ugh! Ra's pisses me off. Very much looking forward to Joe and Quentin, Joe and Grodd, Wells revealing himself to Barry. That'll be exciting.
The more the make it seem like Wells is going to be outed the more concerned I become with how they are going to build season 2. The villain within the team combined with being the team boss was a really successful position for him. How does it work without Wells and how can they keep Wells if he is the RF?
I've seen this scene multiple times, and what i see, i don't like. And i fear that when i see it fully, i still won't like it. So what do you not get about that?
You said yourself you haven't even fully seen it, you've only seen all of 7 seconds in the middle of a scene in the middle of a promo (unless you have access to screeners and would like to share). There's a difference between disliking a few lines out of context and letting your dislike of one or both characters immediately bias you against any scene they're in.
I would urge you to, you know, actually watch before passing judgment, but at the same time recognize you are absolutely entitled to whatever opinion you arrive at. But ideally after watching and not before. Sorry to be argumentative, I normally enjoy your comments but that one just struck me as premature to say you can't stand it is all.
Yeah by me saying that, i was making a point, by pointing that out. I see that went over your head? I don't care what the scene is. The dialogue bothers me, and i don't find it funny, like some do. To see the scene fully isn't going to change that. The dialogue is still going to be there. And i have a problem with that. I don't care why she's doing it. The point that she is, doesn't bother me. But i've seen it enough times, to the point where it bothers me. I wasn't "immediately turned off or being biased about it" as you make think. It was built over time. And that's something very common, so i don't get why you're upset about my dislike for a scene, "half scene", that i've seen over and over, by a character, i just don't like.
So because of what five lines you hate a scene you've haven't fully seen? Yeah I'm with midnight here. I don't want to start something here but you disliking the scene because Laurel is involved is bias. Just like someone liking it because Cisco or Laurel or whatever is in a scene.
They might not. He'll either be in the pipeline and serve as a Hannibal Lector esque villain who turns Eddie against Barry and becomes a villain (and eventually he'll get out and cause havoc). Or he'll probably be depowered in the future. Or the Speed Force. In that case they'll probably just focus on another Flash villain, and introduce Wally West. It was but personally I really don't want a hiding as a hero routine for more than one season. It could get really old and gratuitous.
No, it has nothing to do with Laurel's presence, i said the dialogue bothered me, and i don't like the scene b/c of it. The more i saw the scene, the less i liked it. I have very strong feelings about those sentences, and i didn't like it. I don't understand the surprise? = /
First, no I wouldn't. Since I'm not ganging up on you. I agreed with Midnight, I didn't insult or belittle your comment. I was just trying to say maybe you're judging the scene too quickly. I'm sorry for seeming like I was ganging up on you. You mentioned it featured a character you don't like, so I assumed you also disliked it because of Laurel. If you hate the lines, okay. But you haven't actually seen the full scene so I don't think it's fair to dismiss it. The line yeah sure it you think it's narm-y I'm cool with that.
Too quickly?? I've been seeing the same thing for a month, (probably more so) and finally got annoyed by it and NOW i'm finally saying something about it, and i'm the "villain"?? I think that's unfair. The reason i pointed it out was b/c I SHOULDN'T be feeling this way about it, because i haven't fully seen it. But unfortunately i do. I'm annoyed by the lines, which takes away from the scene. It doesn't have to do with Laurel's presence. I don't like the lines, and if that's his reaction to it, i don't find it humorous as some do. It actually bothers me, for a few reasons, reasons that i won't even get into, especially since you nor Midnight hadn't even bothered asking why and just decided to get defensive over something i said. Therefore, assuming it had to do with Laurel's appearance w/o asking the reason why i was even turned off by the clip in the first place.
I don't understand why it has to be an issue when it's MY opinion. I may dislike Laurel, and that's no secret (nor do i feel i would need to keep it as such) but there's serious reasons for/behind it. And they certainly don't run along the lines of immaturity in the "She's a stupid head na na na poo poo let's kill her" column. Please. (After watching for three years, i think i deserve a little more credit that that.) I think THAT would be premature. And that last part is not directed to you Graydon, that's directed to Midnight. And i accept your apology Graydon.
Ohhh Shannon why did you even get upset about this? Just block out the negativity and don't answer to provocation. I just write We have to agree to disagree and end the discussion. ^_^
You know what screw it. I'm cool with your problems with that scene. So why you turned off? Sad thing is people actually have those comments about Laurel. I should have heard you out. I really need to work on my defensiveness. It's f*cking annoying even to me.
I don't want to talk about it right now. Maybe later on a better note. It's not the time. Right now i'm just laying here, watching Cheers, getting some laughs before i try and sleep.
Just finished the ep. I read a recap when I woke up but thought that Eobard possessed Wells not turned into him, physically. Just WOW! Now the corpse Joe and Lance find in the trailer makes sense, hoped for a fake Sara connection there.
I really like Matt L, both his TCD and Scandal role were quite great. Amazing twists! Won't survive this break ;-)
I'm under the impression that I don't see the same promo as everyone did...In this video, I don't see any sign of Laurel, Oliveer or Quentin, and I see everyone talking about that in the comments. The promo for "Different person" is just a mix of scenes from last night episode for me...
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Please tell me I'm not the only one freaking out after that promo!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWoW !!!

ReplyDeleteYou can't stand a scene you haven't even seen yet with no context? Really?
ReplyDeleteWhat episode is the one with berry and Tina?
ReplyDeleteThe more the make it seem like Wells is going to be outed the more concerned I become with how they are going to build season 2. So we can freely talk about Ra's Amell now

ReplyDeleteYeah seeing those same 7 seconds over and over again must really organically build up that dislike for the scene.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your sarcasm.

ReplyDeleteIntriguing promo! Can't wait for this to resolve?
ReplyDeleteI just hope Harrison will survive this!
You know what screw it. I'm cool with your problems with that scene. So why you turned off? Sad thing is people actually have those comments about Laurel. I should have heard you out. I really need to work on my defensiveness. It's f*cking annoying even to me.
ReplyDeleteI'm not upset. Just having a debate. I don't mind agreeing to disagree, (i do if often if need be) but it'd actually have to come to that first.
ReplyDeleteI feel like Harrison will survive for the whole series if i'm being honest. I mean he IS Zoom, I don't see him going anywhere.
ReplyDeleteOhhh holly molly! Was it confirmed last night he was Zoom?
ReplyDeleteWaiting for Bro to wake up to watch the ep.
I wasn't being sarcastic. I genuinely meant it. And now I feel like an asshole. If you don't mind me asking what's wrong?
ReplyDeletewell it's more complicated than that
ReplyDeleteOhhh. ummmm. You know what? I'm not going to say anything else. LOL And that includes answering your question.
ReplyDeleteI don't want to talk about it right now. Maybe later on a better note. It's not the time. Right now i'm just laying here, watching Cheers, getting some laughs before i try and sleep.
ReplyDeleteOh Cheers is sick. Love me some Norm, Cliffy and Frasier. Well whatever it is I hope you feel better about it, and everything is okay.
ReplyDeletelmaooo. My bad. enjoy.

I'm glad you liked it. I knew you would. I'm the minority on that corpse theory, but we'll talk more about it later. I'm falling asleep.
ReplyDeleteAs most mornings I wish you U sweet dreams. Till later ^_^

ReplyDeleteThey removed it on their youtube and facebook account. I remember seeing this on the cw youtube account now it's been set to private.
ReplyDeleteBut why? There is nothing much spoilery in this promo. Almost all of it happened last episode.
ReplyDeleteEpisode 18 The one where Ray and Felicity visits Central City.
