But, you haven't seen it... I don't get it, seriously. He is her boyfriend after all... Maybe not being used as a simple love interest(forcing weird romantic comedy, per Arrow's writers) will be good for Ray.
Naaaa... Isn't spoilery. They literally spoiled Wells in the pipeline. What more damage can they made? It doesn't matter what he does, i know now that they will capture him at some point.
Was it so hard for the CW to keep its scheduling in check so the timelines weren't screwed up? They need to get their shit together. And where are the Arrow promos though. There's been a few Flash promos the last couple of days and not one Arrow trailer... Seems oddly unbalanced
Yeah but seriously we are getting like a new promo everyday. There's a difference between making people excited about the show and over promoting it. They are ruining the anticipation and the excitement you feel when you are waiting for a new spoiler. Now it's like "ah a new promo ok cool, I'll watch it later"; I actually rolled my eyes (even though it's not Canada's fault that there were 10 promos before).
I was a bit thrown off that there is a new promo again but I understand this whole campaign. The ratings slipped a bit and they want the show to bounce back. And actually they are barely showing new material.
they first wrote it at February, just sayin'... but think! think about it... Supergirl in 2015 Fall... a messy timeline in flash season 1 finale.. Superman could appear. Welling or not.
We know that? I asked this again, but they don't release episode schedules like Arrow does. And being Amell there, they might played a bit with that using a moment Amell was free. I mean, that looks like a Season Finale battle if you ask me... but perhaps They capture Wells on 1x22 and in 1x23 Eobard comes to town. After all, we now know that Barry was with Eobard on his house...
I'm a dc fan but not a Superman fan... He's boring for me, so idk. Supergirl is already a female Supes by the show's description. I don't see the point.
Na, Ted had a exo-suit that gave him strenght. He's shooting beams and flying... and Guggenheim is trying to make him have Tony's wit... and failing. He's still fun to watch when he's not used to be a simple love interest... wich was the whole season except 3x01 and 3x17.
Don't know how much the timelines between Flarrow will be messed up during the finales. Will 1x22 happen before 3x23 or will 1x23 happen before 3x23? So we'll have to wait and see. I just know that the day they started working on the finale or at least when Danielle announced it we already knew about Oliver appearing in the LoA outfit. So who knows!
I think i saw God and my life has a new meaning. I'll return later. Gonna look for some cool sect that sees the universe just like me, now that i read your heavenly words...
(Well, that's the definition of trying too hard LOL...)
it's just natural that they promote their freshman show though, Arrow is in its third season, has outside popularity and a internet presence that is immense.
You should watch 1x23 and the next day 3x23, but theCW messed up. Marc Guggenheim said on Tumblr that they designed both shows to go side by side. My guess? Kreisberg said there was gonna be a small cameo on Arrow from a Flash character. I think at the end of Arrow 3x21(Al-Saheem) Barry will ask Oliver for help, leading into Oliver's debut as Al-Saheem on the battlefield for 1x22 of Flash. Yet, we're gonna see Flash's 1x20, the next day Arrow's 3x21(Barry calls Oliver to go against Wells). The next week we will see Barry reaching for that resolution and calling Oliver while the next day we will see Oliver already went to CC in 3x22. Then the other week we will see the fight against Wells and Arrow's finale...
It won't make sense at all if it plays out by that wich is quite possible since MG said on Twitter the timeline will be screwed up and we might have to just go with it... That it wasn't their call to f**ked it up.
Yeah it is quite poor. I hope they do a better job next year as the show certainly deserves much much better promotion. Even these last couple of eps deserved bigger focus.
Good point, I'm still wary of comparisons as personality wise they're really dissimilar. I'm really looking forward to 3x19 for that reason. Seeing Ray begin as a hero and fight a meta human will be great. I'm also pumped for him in the spin-off.
Really, is there something I'm not getting? Is my inner belief that being nice and fun to girls actually wrong? It has worked well so far but if it pleases the ladies I'll start murdering bad guys with bow/arrow ASAP
Okay mac. You should stop this paranoia and stop judging people who states something you don't like. I am tired of you crying about what other people like or dislike. They are not you.
I like Ray. I found his evolution on Arrow boring. I find Ray/Felicity very cute but their romamce very badly done. My comment above was about Felicity's perchance of falling for guys with hero fetish. I was mocking my own favorite character. If you have a problem with what I like feel free to ignore me.
come on, be honest here, hoe WAS your comment supposed to sound in any other way. I like you and won't ignore you but it's gotten really hard to understand if people are passive agressive or have a genuine dislike these days
See even if I disliked Ray, which I do not and everyone here knows that, for whatever reason it may be why should it matter to you? I am not asking you to share my opinions. Why should it bother you?
Honestly you are the one being passive aggressive towards real people over fictional characters and post baiting comments.
Who offer you you're own shadow group with hundreds of followers, near unlimited resources and eternal youth. Who wouldn't want to get stranded on a island for five years?
They have honestly made a mockery of Felicity by making her having feelings for 3 masked heroes. Oh how I wish her love interest this season was some nice executive or a detective.
I'm really cool with it. A) Cause it's funny. B) Speaks (well to me) to Felicity's inner humanity and attraction to morality. C) I hate the bad boy trope. Plus she's a hero and they tend to hook up a lot in the comics, so it's faithful. Lol.
To be honest this relationship was never really about him it was always a reaction to Oliver being a stubborn idiot and by the way I don't believe he's over Anna either or at least he shouldn't be. The woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with died less than a year ago. He started this whole thing for her, realistically he shouldn't be over her this fast or telling a girl he's been dating for a month that he loves her. They are both on the rebound.
Diggle spin off. Don't remind me. I had high hopes for Diggle centric SS mid season 8 episode limited series. DR also talked about it once. Will dating Felicity help that?
I actually wanted Diggle to be Arrows version of Rick Flagg but since the Squad seems to have been erased out of Arrow history I'm afraid that won't happen :/
I can't really connect with his pain because they don't show it and they don't even talk about it. One episode he was telling Felicity that she doesn't have the right to talk about Anna and the next he's like "Anna who"?
Wich is implying that I'm not open to others, however the issue isn't that I'm NOT open to others but the fact that existentially different opinions collide. I would love to jump around in circles with you and koky and hail the awesomeness that is Arrow but sadly we have such different opinions of things (wich believe me, I'm trying hard to understand but can't) that understanding is cut short in favor of getting points across.
In case you see me as a troublemaker that only intendends to provoke you, you're mistaken. I'm appaled by people that care more about ships than shows and will always challenge them to actually reveal their real opinions to me. Not the sugar coated stuff because we are all hypocrites in our own right.
Yeah, I'm a giant hypocrite myself, why? I fear that this show will suffer the fate oh-so-many shows have suffered. Shows I cared for, I'm not really a TV guy on the outside, I'm not openly creative. This place is kind of a place for me to vent because for some f***ed up reason I believe that I loose all my real life connections if I admit to being "a nerd". Thus I will always be very VERY hard in asking and trying to get to the core of things. Because I want to know what kind of person I'm dealing with. Because I don't want to waste time on themes that are obsolete in the end. This may not make sense to you but in short: I'm a closeted geek that rarely gets to talk to likeminded people and thus, in his nature, is a bit provocative.
Believe me, if I wrote you or others off as people I have nothing in common with I'd ignore you (like Mr. I ship all Marvel characters, wich is all I care about) but I don't. Because in fact I feel that koky, shannon, you, graydon, buce share a very common attribute with me: appreciation for this show.
If I come off as baiting, sarcastic or whatever...trust me I just want to get to the bottom of issues and opinions, wich is hard on the internet.
For example: I've seen people disliking Ray but whenever I get reasons from people they're confusing me as the exact same attributes and listed reasons point towards another very well liked character. Believe me, I'm truthfully lost with some issues people have and thus try, REALLY hard to get them to tell me what exactly the issue is
I keep guessing that they might want to keep Rays backstory for the spin-off, they need to keep some meat to chew on for a show in wich he'll have a even bigger focus.
What is really confusing me about Ray is why the guy is credited as a recurring guest star. How often did he appear now? Certainly more than Det. Lance, Merlyn and I believe even more often than Thea. Could very well be credited as a regular as well
Unless you want to improve your stellar numbers, if you don't put the appropriate ammount of advertising in your product you'll risk loosing customers.
Arrow dodged that bullet with the crossover episodes this season but I don't think there's any guarantee for that working beyond this year
I feel bad for David Ramsay because Diggle is so perfect to kill off. Think about it: showrunners like to tease potential deaths while having the fanbase speculate about "lesser" characters biting it. Diggle however isn't a lesser character, he's a main, he's important. However his importance has slipped over the seasons and now turned him (and even Roy for that matter) into a sidecharacter you could easily kill off to surprise people.
HIVE is keeping me hopeful but ever since s2 I keep fearing that the next step Diggle makes might be his last
But mac you bringing the same issue over and over again won't make any of the people here give new explanations or make you understand their pov. Why beat the same dead horse over and over? You venting in your post is fine but when you repeatedly go and reply on posts who goes against your pov its just annoying. Tell me this how many shippers have you turned from talking about their ship by you having verbal volley with them? I would say zero.
Just because you can't understand why people don't like Ray doesn't mean they don't have the right to dislike them. I like Ray. I don't love him. I don't find him creepy or stalkery. That's because I don't give much credence to the morality of characters on this show. I enjoy Ray for the romantic third leg pit stop with a cool suit that he is.
That being said I understand what turns off some people from this character. The first two episodes of this season had him doing some questionable stuff especially him buying the company Felicity works for. As a woman I raised my eyebrows at that and wondered what the writers were smoking while writing him like that. They made Felicity herself make a stalking comment. For some people especially women certain things are a trigger even in fictional characters which they cannot gloss over. You don't have to understand that. You just have to respect it.
No offense but I stopped talking after Clark Kent. Superman is my favourite superhero and any conversation that compares him to Ray I won't be reading.
We knew Barry's mom died, his dad went to jail for her murder, he spent his whole life searching to prove the impossible, he was in love with a girl who doesn't reciprocate his feelings, he's smart, loves heroes, creative (Oliver's mask) and thinks outside the box (the rat poison and how he got the prints), nerd, always late, not afraid to stand up for what's right even if it could get him hurt, funny.. feel free to stop me anytime
oh I know that it's hard to bring people to a concensus about a project, however look at Arrows marketing campaign. It's fairly bland in it's design, doesen't represent the season and generally has little to no creativity behind it. It's contract work as you find it in any catalogue
I feel the same about Clark but I guess we have to agree to disagree on that because is some way I see Ray as a mixture between Clark/Bruce. The wealth and dramatic backstory of Bruce, the attitude and appreciation for life of Clark.
Well detailed but if we really break it down:
devestated by the loss of his wife, savior complex due to the feeling of helplessness, awareness of his own physical inability to help others thus the suit, tech savy, joy and appreciation for life wich results in his need to help others, very un-clever with his money, pursues what he wants in a nearly reckless manner for his own belongings and others privacy, good heart and soul
I'll be honest, I kind of like the guy, not more than Merlyn because unlike Ray Merlyn is a well written character but I like him because (like Felicity) he brings some humor into this show
I know you don't like him, wich I'm trying to understand but personally I feel like you might grow to enjoy him more once the spin-off gives him a better developed backstory :)
They did 3x09 and 3x10 or 3x11. It'll probably be a bigger deal in the spin-off. But Ray clearly has tried to, but can't fully move on so he's just suppressing it.
we always have to count with DC intervening, it's sad really. I grew up on DC comics, shows and movies and knowing their strict handling of properties makes them seem less like the creative mess wich I always loved to see them as and more like a Wayne-esque company.
I'm kinda hoping that the Marvel-show hype on Netflix gives us some neat DC shows on Netflix as well
but this is where the beauty of continuity shoots comes in, every wardrobe departement makes continuity images of their actors in costume to have a reference for follow up scenes, these images could easily suffice for PR material
And that's would be your mistaken thinking this a free for all. These are union people working on union shows. Union issues probably come into play here.
We knew all that in 2 episodes while Ray has been here for 18! Doing nothing but work on his suit, brag about his money and helicopters and giving Felicity the googly eyes.
Actually I get it with Caity, she was "cheap" in some way, a relatively unknown actress. Unlike Routh who's probably the best known actor within the Arrow cast (correct me if I'm wrong)
I didn't even think about that, you're probably (very very likey) right on this.
You've got to forgive my inexperience, I'm a low paid acting student that does very little (but fun work) for a smaller pr company. Unions aren't even on my plate yet :P
Probably, given that even today not many people can name Henry Cavill either (wich is weird, for some reason the Superman curse seems to be real)
You've got to close that education gap Graydon, it's really a surprisingly funny show that parodized vampire/zombie/werewolf shows before these shows became a thing, it's like they traveled forward in time to get inspiration
It's really unfair to the Flash how most of its threads eventually become about Arrow. Let's talk about the Flash a little! Do you think that's why they promote it more? Are we the reason behind these promos? lol
Currently I'm the indie non-union thing too, so I get your mentality. When you said "small PR firm" I knew exactly what your experience in the matter was. But I know from my Union friends when it becomes a union job, there are rules. And the rules are "not my department!" and if it's not your department you don't touch it or union reps will be on your ass.
Simple. The Flash=more popular character=more promotion! The CW is responsible for the marketing so they either spend a lot of money on the flash instead of arrow
Speaking as someone who has been exploited quite a bit for being non-union, I know they have a certain value. But they can be pretty petty, stubborn, unreasonable and narrow minded too...
It depends on the production, and also the union rules vary from place to place. But I believe gerenaly that extra work is fairly flexible and lenient when it comes to one being non union. I know in Toronto for the very big union shows, there is an ACTRA quota you need to fill for your bg, and after that you can use non union people too. For smaller shows, I believe that yes you don't need to be an actual union member.
You gave me some mayor Saint Seiya feels... Also, i was bored and actually looked for some cool cults. I found "The Cosmic Society of Jesus Christ", in Colombia: In level 1 they give you a Guardian Angel(i doesn't say if you have to level it up) and in level 5 you can become a powerfull warlock.
Master Pablo is the one who teaches you.
PS: This is all true LMFAO I'm having a blast reading the website.
Yes, please! I was talking to Graydon about sects... Guess Arrow already has a steady audience and next year enters syndication. Flash, in the other hand, is having great ratings and they want to stay that way.
You know, i tought of Ray telling Felicity he "loved her" after 5 weeks as a way to try to move on. It was too fast and i think he did that on purpose because he needs that. I need to think it's that and not that they did it because it was convinient(one episode he doesn't trust her and the next he loves her?). I was dying for an episode about Ray to know more about him on a personal level. The best we're gonna get is the Flash cross-over, in wich he doesn't need to be used as a reaction to a love triangle and can be his own person. Also, for what we saw, the CGI looked GREAT!
I like his character. I like Ray. My problem with him is that they used him for 16 episodes and 14 of them he was a "random reaction of a love triangle". They made Felicity go to him each time Oliver f**ked up. She wasn't with him because of "him", but because of Oliver.
I get what they did it, but the only two episodes i was interested in Ray were 3x01 and 3x17, when we finally saw some depth and his flawed sense of justice.
Then in 3x18 he went back to "love interest 101". They made the guy's identity be his relationship with Felicity instead on focusing on his character.
I'm hopeful that on Flash, where Oliver isn't, he will have more freedom to shine. Also, 3x19 seems cool, but i fear it will have too many relationship drama(she has to break up with him).
The CGI on The Flash promo looked great. I'm psyched for the Spin-Off, but i hoped for it to be a full Atom show and not a weird Team-Up show with a weird roster.
This season was very character driven and very bleak on a personal level. Hopefully Season 4 is lighter and we could have fun again like S2.
Exactly. I was thinking they will play a huge role in season 2 finale. I expected them to be on streets fighting mirakuru dudes. Instead it was a luke warm ARGUS stand off. It is very disappointing.
I really wouldn't care if the schedule is just a week off, Flash and Arrow are still two separate shows, but with the crossover now it's a mess. And they had the chance to catch up as both shows were on break this week. Stupid.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I love the Superman reference!!! :D "it's a bird... a plane"
ReplyDeleteI'm one promo away from deciding to skip this episode :\
ReplyDeletewhy? it is not just about the bee girl.. sure it is a little about Eobard. again.
ReplyDeleteBut, you haven't seen it... I don't get it, seriously. He is her boyfriend after all... Maybe not being used as a simple love interest(forcing weird romantic comedy, per Arrow's writers) will be good for Ray.
ReplyDeleteThat's not it. They've shown too many promos for this episode I'm crossing the line between very excited and annoyed.
ReplyDeleteIt's not about Ray.
ReplyDeleteOh, i read the comment below! Yeah, i get what you say... The last promo from the upcomng episodes spoiled TOO MANY THINGS. I was really annoyed.
ReplyDeleteIKR? I actually haven't watched this one; I need to be surprised about something when I watch the episode :\
ReplyDeleteWhy so anxious precious? I know the wait is quite the bitch but they need to promote the shit out of it.
ReplyDeleteI see it.. but I am sure it will be awesome, just like the previous episodes :)
ReplyDeleteNaaaa... Isn't spoilery. They literally spoiled Wells in the pipeline. What more damage can they made? It doesn't matter what he does, i know now that they will capture him at some point.
ReplyDeleteThat promo sucked ass...
Was it so hard for the CW to keep its scheduling in check so the timelines weren't screwed up? They need to get their shit together. And where are the Arrow promos though. There's been a few Flash promos the last couple of days and not one Arrow trailer... Seems oddly unbalanced
ReplyDeletecause Flash is better than Arrow.. :D season 3 is a complete disaster... please, skip this Ra's Al Shithead storyline.. not skip, end it!
ReplyDeleteYeah but seriously we are getting like a new promo everyday.
ReplyDeleteIt's what I've been saying all week.
ReplyDeleteSo base on this promo I guess that Oliver's appearance n the League outfit is in another episode?
ReplyDeleteJesus!!!! is this true?? superman in season 2?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.kdramastars.com/articles/80719/20150406/the-flash-tv-series-spoilers.htm
Actually someone suggested that it's Hannibal not Wells.
ReplyDeleteI think that will happen around 1x22. But not confirmed.
ReplyDeleteOh... Okay, now i feel stupid LOL Thanks for that, Koky! xD
ReplyDeleteFor the info or for making you feel stupid? lol
ReplyDeleteI was a bit thrown off that there is a new promo again but I understand this whole campaign. The ratings slipped a bit and they want the show to bounce back.
ReplyDeleteAnd actually they are barely showing new material.
I explain the lack of Arrow trailers that they would be to spoilery. Think the episode is pretty much straight and it would be to teasing.
ReplyDeleteI saw that same news for April Fools on one site... Like the same thing xD
ReplyDeleteCurious thing: Imbd shows Amell as guest starring in 1x20 and 1x23 of Flash... IMDB isn't a fire proof site, but perhaps...Who knows?
ReplyDeleteBoth... It's 50% truth and 50% sarcasm!
ReplyDeleteWonder why Hannibal would take on Eobard's appearance though? Escape? Or just to be a dick?
ReplyDeleteIn that case you're welcome and sorry haha
ReplyDeleteLol damn right you don't blame Canada.
ReplyDeleteWhy would he take anyone else's appearance at all?
ReplyDeleteI wanted to make it very clear that I don't lol
ReplyDeletethat's a good way to look at it!
ReplyDeleteno Felicity, that's Iron Man
ReplyDeleteArrow is the one who has lot of spoiler while the flash is a crossover.....
ReplyDeleteTo be a dick/troll. Hey of I was an asshole with shapeshiting it'd do it.
ReplyDeleteCould Disney take DC to trial for that? I mean... It's super obvious Jajajaja They have no shame xD
ReplyDeleteDon't know. When the spoilery pics came out they were supposed to shot 1x22.
ReplyDeleteNo clue about 1x20 didn't hear anything about it.
So there's your answer.
ReplyDeletethey first wrote it at February, just sayin'... but think! think about it... Supergirl in 2015 Fall... a messy timeline in flash season 1 finale.. Superman could appear. Welling or not.
ReplyDeleteI'd say he's more Blue Beattle Ted Kord.
ReplyDeleteTo a question I gave which contained the answer. Weird.
ReplyDeleteWe know that? I asked this again, but they don't release episode schedules like Arrow does. And being Amell there, they might played a bit with that using a moment Amell was free.
ReplyDeleteI mean, that looks like a Season Finale battle if you ask me... but perhaps They capture Wells on 1x22 and in 1x23 Eobard comes to town. After all, we now know that Barry was with Eobard on his house...
considering Arrow end on a cliffhanger that shake up the show forever....the lack of promo is probably there is a lot of big stuff going on in the ep
ReplyDeleteMIND. BLOWN. LOL.
ReplyDeleteTrue, but the Great North must be needlessly defended. Jk jk.
ReplyDeletearrow should be promoted more.....arrow drop below 1 recently
ReplyDeleteProbably! I certainly hope so. Especially with Lance entering the layer.
ReplyDeleteI'm a dc fan but not a Superman fan... He's boring for me, so idk. Supergirl is already a female Supes by the show's description. I don't see the point.
ReplyDeleteI know, right?
ReplyDeleteNa, Ted had a exo-suit that gave him strenght. He's shooting beams and flying... and Guggenheim is trying to make him have Tony's wit... and failing. He's still fun to watch when he's not used to be a simple love interest... wich was the whole season except 3x01 and 3x17.
ReplyDeleteDon't know how much the timelines between Flarrow will be messed up during the finales. Will 1x22 happen before 3x23 or will 1x23 happen before 3x23? So we'll have to wait and see.
ReplyDeleteI just know that the day they started working on the finale or at least when Danielle announced it we already knew about Oliver appearing in the LoA outfit. So who knows!
I thought they will release one today, but seems like they are not planning to.
ReplyDeleteI think i saw God and my life has a new meaning. I'll return later. Gonna look for some cool sect that sees the universe just like me, now that i read your heavenly words...
ReplyDelete(Well, that's the definition of trying too hard LOL...)
doubt they care much, especially since it'd scratch their public image
ReplyDeleteit's just natural that they promote their freshman show though, Arrow is in its third season, has outside popularity and a internet presence that is immense.
ReplyDeleteBuild on your strongest ship that an old fregatte
You should watch 1x23 and the next day 3x23, but theCW messed up. Marc Guggenheim said on Tumblr that they designed both shows to go side by side.

It won't make sense at all if it plays out by that wich is quite possible since MG said on Twitter the timeline will be screwed up and we might have to just go with it... That it wasn't their call to f**ked it up.
True, I agree. But still a little teaser promo would've been nice. But the day is still young. ;-)
ReplyDeleteyeah, I actually wished Arrow got some more focus from the CW in terms of advertising. This years promo campaign was poor as hell.
ReplyDeleteYeah it is quite poor. I hope they do a better job next year as the show certainly deserves much much better promotion.
ReplyDeleteEven these last couple of eps deserved bigger focus.
Not God, Grodd. Sorry I had to do it. I'm glad I could help inspire your journey throughout the cosmos. :D
ReplyDeleteGood point, I'm still wary of comparisons as personality wise they're really dissimilar. I'm really looking forward to 3x19 for that reason. Seeing Ray begin as a hero and fight a meta human will be great. I'm also pumped for him in the spin-off.
ReplyDeletePlus wouldn't help with the whole evil corporation thing.
ReplyDeleteAlso they have got another character who is played by Owain Yeoman who has same powers as superman. I forgot the characters name.
ReplyDeleteFelicity darling your choice in boyfriends make me shake my head.
ReplyDeleteReally, is there something I'm not getting? Is my inner belief that being nice and fun to girls actually wrong? It has worked well so far but if it pleases the ladies I'll start murdering bad guys with bow/arrow ASAP
ReplyDeletejust bring in Martin Manhunter, much more powerful and more interesting then Superman.
ReplyDeleteOkay mac. You should stop this paranoia and stop judging people who states something you don't like. I am tired of you crying about what other people like or dislike. They are not you.
ReplyDeleteI like Ray. I found his evolution on Arrow boring. I find Ray/Felicity very cute but their romamce very badly done. My comment above was about Felicity's perchance of falling for guys with hero fetish. I was mocking my own favorite character. If you have a problem with what I like feel free to ignore me.
The episode can't be 42 mins of spoilers!
ReplyDeleteSee? The thing is I genuinely didn't get your comment
ReplyDeletecome on, be honest here, hoe WAS your comment supposed to sound in any other way. I like you and won't ignore you but it's gotten really hard to understand if people are passive agressive or have a genuine dislike these days
ReplyDeleteIf you really want to improve your social life then you should disappear on an island for 5 years ASAP.
ReplyDeleteI know, right? Is it the suit that turns her own?
ReplyDeleteBut...but....Slade won't like me :(
ReplyDeleteNope. But hey you get mortal enemies. And who doesn't want mortal enemies?
ReplyDeleteI'd rather be struck by lightning and end up in a coma for nine months. Five years and mental trauma not my thing.
ReplyDeleteFollowed by immortal enemies like Ra's :P
ReplyDeleteSee even if I disliked Ray, which I do not and everyone here knows that, for whatever reason it may be why should it matter to you? I am not asking you to share my opinions. Why should it bother you?
ReplyDeleteHonestly you are the one being passive aggressive towards real people over fictional characters and post baiting comments.
I feel sad for Ray. Dude's 'bout to get dumped.
ReplyDeleteI see that. But your eagerness to jump down at anyone who does not agree with you is not something I like.
ReplyDeleteThe baiting is subconcious and not intended, maybe I'm polarizing by nature.
ReplyDeleteHowever it does matter to me, I want to know what others think and it disturbs me when I fail to understand reasoning behind comments.
And why not conversating? We're in a comment section anyway, wich is ment to have people share different opinions and discuss them.
Why wouldn't it matter to me?
Who offer you you're own shadow group with hundreds of followers, near unlimited resources and eternal youth. Who wouldn't want to get stranded on a island for five years?
ReplyDeleteThey have honestly made a mockery of Felicity by making her having feelings for 3 masked heroes. Oh how I wish her love interest this season was some nice executive or a detective.
ReplyDeletePro: eternal life
ReplyDeleteCon: no sex/food for 1 and suffering emotional and physical torture for 5 years
I'm really cool with it. A) Cause it's funny. B) Speaks (well to me) to Felicity's inner humanity and attraction to morality. C) I hate the bad boy trope. Plus she's a hero and they tend to hook up a lot in the comics, so it's faithful. Lol.
ReplyDeleteSee conversing to know other people's pov and baiting is different. If you are not ever open to other people
ReplyDeleteTo be honest this relationship was never really about him it was always a reaction to Oliver being a stubborn idiot and by the way I don't believe he's over Anna either or at least he shouldn't be. The woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with died less than a year ago. He started this whole thing for her, realistically he shouldn't be over her this fast or telling a girl he's been dating for a month that he loves her. They are both on the rebound.
ReplyDeleteEvery hero she has a crush on eventually gets his own show, so that's a plus so we might have to get her to eye Diggle for our Diggle spin-off
ReplyDeleteThat'll never happen. But I'm for it. If it's called Black Driver. I know that sounds kinda f*cked, but I just love that line.
ReplyDeleteAgreed.
ReplyDeleteDude he slept with Shadow. And she's flexible.
ReplyDeleteDiggle spin off. Don't remind me. I had high hopes for Diggle centric SS mid season 8 episode limited series. DR also talked about it once. Will dating Felicity help that?
ReplyDeleteHe'll get a big role in four with H.I.V.E.
ReplyDeleteHonestly Anna is like a unicorn. We are not even shown him looking at a picture or visiting a grave.
ReplyDeleteI actually wanted Diggle to be Arrows version of Rick Flagg but since the Squad seems to have been erased out of Arrow history I'm afraid that won't happen :/
ReplyDeleteYes of course but when DR mentioned this last year in an interview I had high hopes for it. *sniff**sniff*
ReplyDelete:'(
ReplyDeleteI can't really connect with his pain because they don't show it and they don't even talk about it. One episode he was telling Felicity that she doesn't have the right to talk about Anna and the next he's like "Anna who"?
ReplyDeleteWell this is a CTV promo so it's not like the CW had any control over them airing something different.
ReplyDeleteWich is implying that I'm not open to others, however the issue isn't that I'm NOT open to others but the fact that existentially different opinions collide. I would love to jump around in circles with you and koky and hail the awesomeness that is Arrow but sadly we have such different opinions of things (wich believe me, I'm trying hard to understand but can't) that understanding is cut short in favor of getting points across.
ReplyDeleteIn case you see me as a troublemaker that only intendends to provoke you, you're mistaken.
ReplyDeleteWhat is really confusing me about Ray is why the guy is credited as a recurring guest star. How often did he appear now? Certainly more than Det. Lance, Merlyn and I believe even more often than Thea. Could very well be credited as a regular as well
Third season show that has more of less plateaued in it's ratings? Not worth the effort or the money from a business POV.
ReplyDeleteThe sad thing is that actors only get 30% of the whole story, they have their hopes and wishes, say things that are then misinterpreted.
ReplyDeleteI was couting on the Suicide Squad and Deadshot to appear a lot more based on interviews they did last year but look what we got :/
Unless you want to improve your stellar numbers, if you don't put the appropriate ammount of advertising in your product you'll risk loosing customers.
ReplyDeleteArrow dodged that bullet with the crossover episodes this season but I don't think there's any guarantee for that working beyond this year
Yeah but they need some consistency. We knew more about Barry in 2 episode than we know about Ray in 18.
ReplyDeleteHis contract is for 16 episodes. Think of him like CL last season. She was in like what 20 episodes? She was still credited as recurring.
Nananananana Black Driver
ReplyDeleteI feel bad for David Ramsay because Diggle is so perfect to kill off.
HIVE is keeping me hopeful but ever since s2 I keep fearing that the next step Diggle makes might be his last
It's funny how you only say nice things about me in conversations I'm not a part of lol (I'm guessing that was nice talk about me lol)
ReplyDeleteHe won't because of HIVE. Roy could, but given you could adapt several comic story lines and still do some stuff with him I doubt it.
ReplyDeleteBut mac you bringing the same issue over and over again won't make any of the people here give new explanations or make you understand their pov. Why beat the same dead horse over and over? You venting in your post is fine but when you repeatedly go and reply on posts who goes against your pov its just annoying. Tell me this how many shippers have you turned from talking about their ship by you having verbal volley with them? I would say zero.
ReplyDeleteJust because you can't understand why people don't like Ray doesn't mean they don't have the right to dislike them.
ReplyDeleteWe knew Barry's mom died, his dad went to jail for her murder, he spent his whole life searching to prove the impossible, he was in love with a girl who doesn't reciprocate his feelings, he's smart, loves heroes, creative (Oliver's mask) and thinks outside the box (the rat poison and how he got the prints), nerd, always late, not afraid to stand up for what's right even if it could get him hurt, funny.. feel free to stop me anytime
One more promo and I'm done with the show!
ReplyDeleteoh I know that it's hard to bring people to a concensus about a project, however look at Arrows marketing campaign. It's fairly bland in it's design, doesen't represent the season and generally has little to no creativity behind it. It's contract work as you find it in any catalogue
ReplyDeleteActually, it pretty much IS catalogue work:
http://www.shutterstock.com/de/pic-150465248/stock-photo-asphalt-road-leading-into-the-city-at-night.html?src=mg6vkNj3dqc2-yt4oEWLmA-1-10
True, I actually didn't believe it because Ray was in that promo too. How a show can create such different viewpoints is both amazing and terrifying.
ReplyDeleteThat's not what I'm talking about.
ReplyDeleteScheduling that photoshoot, will be hell. Paying for it won't be a cakewalk either.
I feel the same about Clark but I guess we have to agree to disagree on that because is some way I see Ray as a mixture between Clark/Bruce. The wealth and dramatic backstory of Bruce, the attitude and appreciation for life of Clark.
ReplyDeleteWell detailed but if we really break it down:
devestated by the loss of his wife, savior complex due to the feeling of helplessness, awareness of his own physical inability to help others thus the suit, tech savy, joy and appreciation for life wich results in his need to help others, very un-clever with his money, pursues what he wants in a nearly reckless manner for his own belongings and others privacy, good heart and soul
ReplyDeleteCould be.
ReplyDeletewe always have to count with DC intervening, it's sad really. I grew up on DC comics, shows and movies and knowing their strict handling of properties makes them seem less like the creative mess wich I always loved to see them as and more like a Wayne-esque company.
ReplyDeleteI'm kinda hoping that the Marvel-show hype on Netflix gives us some neat DC shows on Netflix as well
but this is where the beauty of continuity shoots comes in, every wardrobe departement makes continuity images of their actors in costume to have a reference for follow up scenes, these images could easily suffice for PR material
ReplyDeleteI'll check on that one :)
ReplyDeleteI had the same thing with Sara in season two. She was in every episode. It's probably a cost thing.
ReplyDeletenow we know why Merlyn is a villain, he doesen't spend enough
ReplyDeleteAnd that's would be your mistaken thinking this a free for all. These are union people working on union shows. Union issues probably come into play here.
ReplyDeleteWe knew all that in 2 episodes while Ray has been here for 18! Doing nothing but work on his suit, brag about his money and helicopters and giving Felicity the googly eyes.
ReplyDeleteActually I get it with Caity, she was "cheap" in some way, a relatively unknown actress. Unlike Routh who's probably the best known actor within the Arrow cast (correct me if I'm wrong)
ReplyDeletebtw. ever seen Caitys older show Death Valley?
I didn't even think about that, you're probably (very very likey) right on this.
ReplyDeleteYou've got to forgive my inexperience, I'm a low paid acting student that does very little (but fun work) for a smaller pr company. Unions aren't even on my plate yet :P
I would love DC on next. They'd be serialized storytelling with high budget and ability to swear and show violence.
ReplyDeleteAnd showing that he's selfless, compassionate, brave (yet foolish), arrogant, intelligent, determined, etc. we know a lot about the guy.
ReplyDeleteSame, I love how DC has the darker line-up of characters. A show about Lobo would be amazing.
ReplyDeleteI keep hoping for DC and Marvel to give Amalgam a second try as a movie/show universe.
You're not wrong, but I doubt most people know his name. Nope.
ReplyDeletethanks ODA, I can't do more but promise to dial it back (wich is hard and I'm indeed trying).
ReplyDeleteThe beauty of this place is that opinions flush around on a constant basis, it's amazing and yet kinda overwhelming
Probably, given that even today not many people can name Henry Cavill either (wich is weird, for some reason the Superman curse seems to be real)
ReplyDeleteYou've got to close that education gap Graydon, it's really a surprisingly funny show that parodized vampire/zombie/werewolf shows before these shows became a thing, it's like they traveled forward in time to get inspiration
It's really unfair to the Flash how most of its threads eventually become about Arrow. Let's talk about the Flash a little! Do you think that's why they promote it more? Are we the reason behind these promos? lol
ReplyDeleteCurrently I'm the indie non-union thing too, so I get your mentality. When you said "small PR firm" I knew exactly what your experience in the matter was.
ReplyDeleteBut I know from my Union friends when it becomes a union job, there are rules. And the rules are "not my department!" and if it's not your department you don't touch it or union reps will be on your ass.
Lobo would be sick. I love the main man.
ReplyDeleteSimple. The Flash=more popular character=more promotion! The CW is responsible for the marketing so they either spend a lot of money on the flash instead of arrow
ReplyDeleteTrue I never even considered this, unions are going to be fun to deal with in the future I see :P
ReplyDeleteIn that case the CW is stupid! It should be the other way around. They're promoting an already popular character and ignoring the less known one!!
ReplyDeleteDid you see the photo of the new set they're building for the finale?
ReplyDeleteSpeaking as someone who has been exploited quite a bit for being non-union, I know they have a certain value. But they can be pretty petty, stubborn, unreasonable and narrow minded too...
ReplyDeleteAren't usually all extra-gigs non-union?
ReplyDeleteyeah I saw the picture I submit it....it could be anything
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean "extra gigs"?
ReplyDeleteI submitted it too. It felt like a court room to me.
ReplyDeleteextras, you know, stand-ins, people that walk in the background to create the illusion of crowds ^^
ReplyDeleteI don't it a court room since they probably have one or two that can be used. I probably something new like the arrowcave or HIVE HQ
ReplyDeleteOh that kind of extra!
ReplyDeleteIt depends on the production, and also the union rules vary from place to place.
But as I said it varies...
ReplyDeleteMaster Pablo is the one who teaches you.
PS: This is all true LMFAO I'm having a blast reading the website.
Yes, please! I was talking to Graydon about sects... Guess Arrow already has a steady audience and next year enters syndication. Flash, in the other hand, is having great ratings and they want to stay that way.
ReplyDeleteDamn and I thought Jedism being an actual legal religion in New Zealand was cool.
ReplyDeleteYou know, i tought of Ray telling Felicity he "loved her" after 5 weeks as a way to try to move on. It was too fast and i think he did that on purpose because he needs that.
ReplyDeleteI need to think it's that and not that they did it because it was convinient(one episode he doesn't trust her and the next he loves her?).
I was dying for an episode about Ray to know more about him on a personal level. The best we're gonna get is the Flash cross-over, in wich he doesn't need to be used as a reaction to a love triangle and can be his own person. Also, for what we saw, the CGI looked GREAT!
If this episode doesnt get beyong 1.5 with all the promo its getting then CW, you are doing something bad.
ReplyDeleteI like his character. I like Ray. My problem with him is that they used him for 16 episodes and 14 of them he was a "random reaction of a love triangle". They made Felicity go to him each time Oliver f**ked up. She wasn't with him because of "him", but because of Oliver.
ReplyDeleteI get what they did it, but the only two episodes i was interested in Ray were 3x01 and 3x17, when we finally saw some depth and his flawed sense of justice.
SUPERMAN REFERENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo this takes really place before the last episode of Arrow? Felicity broke up with him, right?
ReplyDeleteYou are most welcome mac.
ReplyDeleteExactly. I was thinking they will play a huge role in season 2 finale. I expected them to be on streets fighting mirakuru dudes. Instead it was a luke warm ARGUS stand off. It is very disappointing.
ReplyDeleteRight. There is a chronology issue due to both shows not being on sync
ReplyDeleteI really wouldn't care if the schedule is just a week off, Flash and Arrow are still two separate shows, but with the crossover now it's a mess. And they had the chance to catch up as both shows were on break this week. Stupid.
ReplyDelete
