Felicity Smoak - The Hero Whisperer. Everyone and their grandmother tells Felicity all their secrets. Others she hacks and figures out. Poor Barry unable to trust anyone. Poor Cisco and Caitlin will be heartbroken to know the truth.
It's amazing how we always circle back to Arrow lol We might not get one but remember that this is a crossover episode so they have to promote it a lot and in a way it could be considered a promotion for Arrow as well.
Oh you thought that I love him now? lol That was just a one time thing. He's still a creep but in those three seconds he was funny and not creepy. I still hate him very much but I believe in giving credit when credit is due.
I'm most interest about Ray, tbh. I NEED THAT CHARACTER USED LIKE IT WAS USED IN 3x17. Wanna make him a love interest? No problem, but let him be something more. Give the character some depth. I'm praying that now that he isn't in Arrow(When they "MUST" go on and on and on with the damn love drama) they can treat Raylicity as something normal and work on the characters themselves.
I get now why they brought Felicity. Barry has his head all over the places: the person he admires the most is his mother's killer, he doesn't know if he can trust Cisco and Ciatlin, he can't talk to Iris about this... He needs someone he can trust and knows a thing or two about Big Bads, so it's Oliver or Felicity, and so the blonde is there to smash his head until he tells Cisco and Cait about Wells!
Also, i want to know how Barry and Eddie's dynamic is gonna be now. After all, the Flash puched him out of a running car and wanted to kill him. Just saying... Are they gonna ignore that?
And it wasn't weird when Eddie suddenly decided to hunt the Flash because he is "dangerous" and in the same episode the Flash magically became dangerous? All plot devices so pretend like you didn't notice.
Yeah, but this one was the weirdest of all for me. I'm a guy and if someone punches me like he did to Eddie, there's no way i'm forgeting about it Jajajaja It wasn't that they just "added some magical plot", they just forgot about it xD
It was me just being childish... it's a really small thing, tbh. xD
I agree with you. I believe the show introduced the identity theft part of Thawne's backstory so in season two the show can have both Wells (the real one) and Thawne.
Why does Felicity have protitute makeup and hair? I know this is the CW, but the girl is much prettier if you keep down to a minimun. That aside, I'm so glad she's there for Barry, I love their relationship!
Emily is not femme fatale material. She's a beautful girl, but not a femme fatale, so stop trying to make her one and concentrate on enhancing her natural beauty. I don't know want they want to turn all their actresses plastic...
It's a dinner with friends and her boyfriend at an nice restaurant nothing wrong with dressing up. And a female fatale is a women who uses her sexuality and attractiveness to seduce and manipulate men. They aren't turning her into one. I'm not the one making her dress like that. Do I like it in this instance yeah, but I'm demanding she look like that.
I mean in her appearence, they want to make extremely sexy and she's the most beautiful when she's not being sexy. You can dress up and be classy or be trashy. I saw the pictures and the dress is ok, but the make up is kind of trashy and she's no a trashy girl, no matter how trashy her mom is.
That wasn't my intention, I'm sorry if I ofended you. What I meant is that they made a classy girl look trashy, using that word was a bad choice on my part. She is in no way that and, even though, I know I didn't imply that, I'm sorry.
He kinda deserved to be punched. Eddie was his friend and he completely ignored that and his feelings for Iris. Oh I'm looking forward to the beginnings of the Allen Thawne feud.
I wasn't aware of that but using both characters makes sense. Being just Professor Zoom would likely see a reduction in screen time for Cavanagh since villains don't get heavy screen time on a weekly basis and Wells was a good anchor for the team. It's an interesting idea to start from scratch with the real Wells and try to bring him into the fold.
That's my point though. Arrow kills it when you bring in characters that aren't so moody, and that's a lot of DC character as so many aren't dark and brooding.
I'd like it because it'd be great to see Cavanagh play a man who went through such loss and suffering. But only if they could somehow Hannibal Lector in prison Zoom and keep both, and make Eobard like a puppet master to Eddie or else I just don't think he'd stick around to be Wells.
I don't feel that's the problem with Palmer though. To me it's more storyline segregation for most of the season. And they've done fine with any light characters.
Like I said, SV's writers made stuff up. That is the only difference between Felicity and Chloe nowadays; Felicity's hacking abilities feel more realistic.
They haven't done fine with any lighter characters except for Felicity but she hasn't really "shined" when it comes to humorous moments as she did in S1 these days.
Not exactly. There's the rambling, the fact that's she's not into the weirdness of metahumans, it's a journalist. They're both very opinionated about doing what's right but Felicity is more upstanding in holding to her morality, whereas Chloe by the end became somewhat manipulate and more about doing whatever it takes. I'd say besides being blonde, hackers and potential love interests who serve similar roles to heroes they're pretty different.
Of course she hasn't season three has been dark as hell, and her making jokes basically anywhere in 3x02, 3x05-3x07, 3x09-3x16 would've been weird. And not good weird. Barry was a light character they did well. Palmer characterization wise despite his creepy tendencies is pretty well done.
I'm sure we will have Barry time traveling and changing some stuff before the end of the season, but most stuff will stay the same. I'm thinking Team Flash, just with the real Wells instead of Eobard.
This looks real good. And idk why, but the fact that Barry is telling Felicity makes it all the more real. Like more terrifying, maybe it's his deliverance, idk iI can't explain it, it's just chillingly awesome. I'm glad he told her, maybe she can help crack this case. Quick! To the Arrow Mobile. LOL (sorry I had to). But Wells looks even more threatening in this promo, I'm very excited.
The Mandarin reveal was shit. He's an actor? They took one of the most dangerous and like Iron Man villains and used a fake version, then revealed he actually exists in the MCU. That was needless.
Because he's scared? Your "idol" and "guardian" on your journey killed your mama? Yeah, you will have trust issues with Cait and Cisco(Remember he's a character too). Everything he knows about Wells is a lie, he was his friend too. He has the right to doubt of them. Felicity will make him find reason and he will tell both of them about Wells.
Then why not just include the Mandarin as his backer? It's great that you liked it (wish I could) but all Killian wanted to do was disproportionally mess with Stark for being a Dick, and maybe take some kind of political power. My problem with it was it just seemed like a petty revenge motive similar to Whiplash, Hammer and Stane.
no it's sort of a running joke, when he goes all Zoom he stands up from the wheelchair and takes off his glasses and when he's being nice and mentorly he leaves glasses on
That would just ruin the theme of terrorism's uses of media to scare as well to hype. It would have changed the entire theme of IM3 if it was indeed the real Mandarin backing up/funding Killian's A.I.M. project.
Yes, Stane, Hammer and Aldrich are all businessmen that wanted to go after Stark(although Stane just didn't believe Stark added anything to the company while Hammer and Aldrich was both much about about jealousy and envy), but the idea of terrorism and the uses of media was something different to add to IM3's plot. I'm not saying Killian was a good villain, or even had a good arc himself, but The Mandarin being a ruse, at least for IM3 was a marvelous reveal.
But once again, that takes away the theme of IM3. It was a meta perspective of the uses of media through the means of terrorism and Aldrich was using this to his advantage.
Killian is a terrible villain. He was jealous of Stark as much as Hammer was envious, but in the end jealousy and envy are pretty much the same thing, so they ride a very thin line of being different. Stane is the only businessman-like villain that had a different motivation.
Killian shouldn't be why you hate the reveal. He's the man behind everything, yes, but the idea of the way Killian is using terrorism as a means to get away with it all is an intelligent idea. Change Killian to someone else and you would have liked the idea, yes? Or no? If you'll say yes, then you should appreciate just the idea and plot in general no matter how you feel about Killian.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
So exciting!!!!! Can't wait for new episodes.
ReplyDeleteWill be interesting to see Fel's input!
Poor Barry he can't trust anyone :( I hope Felicity is able to help him. And why is Joe giving him CBR?
ReplyDeleteFelicity Smoak - The Hero Whisperer. Everyone and their grandmother tells Felicity all their secrets. Others she hacks and figures out. Poor Barry unable to trust anyone. Poor Cisco and Caitlin will be heartbroken to know the truth.
ReplyDeleteanother promo for the flash? will there be one for arrow I doubt it
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how we always circle back to Arrow lol
ReplyDeleteWe might not get one but remember that this is a crossover episode so they have to promote it a lot and in a way it could be considered a promotion for Arrow as well.
I'm interested to see how Ray will fit into this world. Maybe he'll be more likeable as his attitude fits the flashverse more.
ReplyDeleteWells was by all accounts a great man but Wells ain't Wells no more. I can't wait to see everyone try to wrap there head around that one.
ReplyDeleteA creep is a creep in any universe but we shall see.
ReplyDeleteShe is like an effing therapeutic Gandalf of the superhero worlds. All the knowledge and none shall pass.........without a hug and encouragement
ReplyDeleteHahahahha! Creep! U're killing me!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't consider him a creep, just annoying as hell. But as U've said we shall wait and see.
I guess so if you want some arrow stuff there is a youtube video on fanexpo vancouver with Stephen talking some future arrow and his movie role
ReplyDeleteYou underestimate how much that character disturbs me lol
ReplyDeleteYeah I saw it but it was short. Hope we get the full panel soon.
ReplyDeleteKokyyyyy.... Cmon remember you complimented him just few days before.
ReplyDeleteFake Felicity uses some kind of bees on Barry.
ReplyDeleteI also think he will fit here in the lighter atmosphere than on Arrow.
ReplyDeleteOh you thought that I love him now? lol
ReplyDeleteThat was just a one time thing. He's still a creep but in those three seconds he was funny and not creepy. I still hate him very much but I believe in giving credit when credit is due.
Obviously! Good for U!
ReplyDeleteFake Felicity haha. Ah I must've missed that one. As you know whenever I see Ray's name I stop reading lol
ReplyDeleteYeah most likely. I just he hope he dials down the cocky(koky) . ;-)
ReplyDeletehahahahahahahahahahahaha
ReplyDeletefor evers
ReplyDeleteBarry needs justice for his mother I hope it's resolved this season. April 14th then no more breaks yay
ReplyDeleteI'm most interest about Ray, tbh. I NEED THAT CHARACTER USED LIKE IT WAS USED IN 3x17. Wanna make him a love interest? No problem, but let him be something more. Barry saved Eddie's life in 1x09 and now Eddie admires the Flash.
ReplyDeleteThat's just... weird... :S
ReplyDeleteAnd it wasn't weird when Eddie suddenly decided to hunt the Flash because he is "dangerous" and in the same episode the Flash magically became dangerous? All plot devices so pretend like you didn't notice.
ReplyDeleteAtom just fits in with The Flash. I hate to see how Arrow's tone is affecting other characters when they show up.
ReplyDeleteShe's just the new Chloe.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but this one was the weirdest of all for me. I'm a guy and if someone punches me like he did to Eddie, there's no way i'm forgeting about it Jajajaja It wasn't that they just "added some magical plot", they just forgot about it xD
ReplyDeleteIt was me just being childish... it's a really small thing, tbh. xD
Even if the same guy saved your life from a supernatural maniac? lol
ReplyDeleteby now I'm also pretty sure he will be a great man again. Barry will time travel and save his life.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. I believe the show introduced the identity theft part of Thawne's backstory so in season two the show can have both Wells (the real one) and Thawne.
ReplyDeleteI feel it's more because Ray just works more because he's lighter. And Arrow just isn't as light and bouncy.
ReplyDeleteHe's Eobard Thawne. That's world's most dangerous fanboy. A man so insane he makes the hardest of Twilight shippers like normal.
ReplyDeleteYeah, unless they use both Cavanagh would leave. He said in an interview the only reason he took the job was because he got to be Professor Zoom.
ReplyDeleteWhy does Felicity have protitute makeup and hair? I know this is the CW, but the girl is much prettier if you keep down to a minimun. That aside, I'm so glad she's there for Barry, I love their relationship!
ReplyDeleteOh God you guys. This is awesome.
ReplyDeleteI really don't think she looks like a escort. She looks good.
ReplyDeleteExcept less ridiculous in her hacking.
ReplyDeleteEmily is not femme fatale material. She's a beautful girl, but not a femme fatale, so stop trying to make her one and concentrate on enhancing her natural beauty. I don't know want they want to turn all their actresses plastic...
ReplyDeleteIt's a dinner with friends and her boyfriend at an nice restaurant nothing wrong with dressing up. And a female fatale is a women who uses her sexuality and attractiveness to seduce and manipulate men. They aren't turning her into one. I'm not the one making her dress like that. Do I like it in this instance yeah, but I'm demanding she look like that.
ReplyDeleteI mean in her appearence, they want to make extremely sexy and she's the most beautiful when she's not being sexy. You can dress up and be classy or be trashy. I saw the pictures and the dress is ok, but the make up is kind of trashy and she's no a trashy girl, no matter how trashy her mom is.
ReplyDeleteI get that. And I like her natural look. But I don't think it warrants shaming the character as looking like a prostitute.
ReplyDeleteI HOPE SO! Sorry for the caps lock there!
ReplyDeleteThat wasn't my intention, I'm sorry if I ofended you. What I meant is that they made a classy girl look trashy, using that word was a bad choice on my part. She is in no way that and, even though, I know I didn't imply that, I'm sorry.
ReplyDeleteHe kinda deserved to be punched. Eddie was his friend and he completely ignored that and his feelings for Iris. Oh I'm looking forward to the beginnings of the Allen Thawne feud.
ReplyDeleteExcept that would mess with the timeline. And remove Cavanagh as Eobard. Both of which are bad ideas.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't aware of that but using both characters makes sense. Being just Professor Zoom would likely see a reduction in screen time for Cavanagh since villains don't get heavy screen time on a weekly basis and Wells was a good anchor for the team. It's an interesting idea to start from scratch with the real Wells and try to bring him into the fold.
ReplyDeleteShe's only less ridiculous in her hacking because the Arrow writers try not to make stiff up as SV did all the time.
ReplyDeleteThat's my point though. Arrow kills it when you bring in characters that aren't so moody, and that's a lot of DC character as so many aren't dark and brooding.
ReplyDeleteI'd like it because it'd be great to see Cavanagh play a man who went through such loss and suffering. But only if they could somehow Hannibal Lector in prison Zoom and keep both, and make Eobard like a puppet master to Eddie or else I just don't think he'd stick around to be Wells.
ReplyDeletePut it this way the writers had Tess convinced Chloe could hack a Kryptonian supercomputer. That's insane.
ReplyDeleteI don't feel that's the problem with Palmer though. To me it's more storyline segregation for most of the season. And they've done fine with any light characters.
ReplyDeleteI see Zoom operating from the shadows somehow after everything goes down. Also, there's got to be an eventual team-up with Grodd.
ReplyDeleteThat'd be awesome. And yes to the team up.
ReplyDeleteLike I said, SV's writers made stuff up. That is the only difference between Felicity and Chloe nowadays; Felicity's hacking abilities feel more realistic.
ReplyDeleteThey haven't done fine with any lighter characters except for Felicity but she hasn't really "shined" when it comes to humorous moments as she did in S1 these days.

Barry was a light character they did well. Palmer characterization wise despite his creepy tendencies is pretty well done.
ReplyDeleteNever saw Smallville. Tried but couldn't sit through season 1.
ReplyDeleteTherapeutic Gandalf!!! I am using this later.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure we will have Barry time traveling and changing some stuff before the end of the season, but most stuff will stay the same. I'm thinking Team Flash, just with the real Wells instead of Eobard.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that. If that's true, it sucks. I was hoping to see Cavanagh as Wells in season 2.
ReplyDeleteIt's okay up until the fourth season.
ReplyDeleteHumor in dark situations is not a deal-breaker. The Mandarin reveal in a darker Iron Man film was perfectly placed.
ReplyDeleteWell, maybe go as far as the 100th episode in season five. But don't bother watching any more. It just goes downhill from there.
ReplyDeleteThis looks real good.
ReplyDeleteFel? that's a first
ReplyDeleteBarry, Caitlin and Cisco are NOT working with Zoom, HOW CAN YOU EVEN THINK THAT?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletei keep forgetting this is still season 1
ReplyDeletei know Felicity isn't paralyzed but i'm still hoping for an Oracle
ReplyDeleteChloe DID become dark in the later years huh? i love Felicity but Chloe was WAY more badass than Felicity
ReplyDeletewhy would Thawne need to be manipulated? isn't he destined to be evil?
ReplyDeleteohh! a Professor Zoom and rood team-up would ROCK the world!!!! is it possible for Grodd to become as Big Bad?
ReplyDeleteThe Mandarin reveal was shit. He's an actor? They took one of the most dangerous and like Iron Man villains and used a fake version, then revealed he actually exists in the MCU. That was needless.
ReplyDeleteme too
ReplyDeleteLMAO!!!
ReplyDeletehow can he not trust Caitlin?
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU! i HATED that the most known arch-enemy of Iron Man is nothing but an actor
ReplyDeleteeven with his glasess on LOL
ReplyDeleteEddie is naturally a good person. So he'd need a push beyond just Iris and Barry.
ReplyDeleteeven if he's good and innocent?
ReplyDeleteNo? That doesn't make a difference. He's always wearing glasses. = /
ReplyDeleteAgreed.
ReplyDeleteI think I might nerd coma for a while after the episode.
ReplyDeleteBecause he's scared? Your "idol" and "guardian" on your journey killed your mama? Yeah, you will have trust issues with Cait and Cisco(Remember he's a character too).
ReplyDeleteEverything he knows about Wells is a lie, he was his friend too. He has the right to doubt of them.
Felicity will make him find reason and he will tell both of them about Wells.
Barry looks all dressed up too. I think it's after their double date with Ray and Iris.
ReplyDeleteThen why not just include the Mandarin as his backer? It's great that you liked it (wish I could) but all Killian wanted to do was disproportionally mess with Stark for being a Dick, and maybe take some kind of political power. My problem with it was it just seemed like a petty revenge motive similar to Whiplash, Hammer and Stane.
ReplyDeleterun very fast u might just break the time barrier.
ReplyDeleteno it's sort of a running joke, when he goes all Zoom he stands up from the wheelchair and takes off his glasses and when he's being nice and mentorly he leaves glasses on

I'm not saying Killian was a good villain, or even had a good arc himself, but The Mandarin being a ruse, at least for IM3 was a marvelous reveal.
But the thing is you could have just done that with the Mandarin himself who differs in motivation and means than any previous Iron Man villain.
ReplyDeleteBut once again, that takes away the theme of IM3. It was a meta perspective of the uses of media through the means of terrorism and Aldrich was using this to his advantage.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good theme, but it doesn't to me make up for the annoying lack of originality with Killian as a character in comparison to previous villains.
ReplyDeleteKillian is a terrible villain. He was jealous of Stark as much as Hammer was envious, but in the end jealousy and envy are pretty much the same thing, so they ride a very thin line of being different. Stane is the only businessman-like villain that had a different motivation.
