Occult families, Sam unpeeling the layers of ancient texts to reveal more mysteries, this should be exciting. There's enough potential story here to last the show a couple of seasons if used properly. However, add Charlie to the mix and it just becomes cliched and corny. 'He's right. Let's get our Alan Turing on and decrypt this bitch'. Instead of being excited I cringed during the entire clip.
And it's a Robbie Thompson episode, so Charlie will undoubtedly have translated the seemingly impossible to translate text and slept with some random model before Sam and Dean have breakfast the next morning. Sam and Dean will both look on in awe at her and fill out the episode telling her how amazingly brilliant she is.
Since someone else is writing the next time Charlie appears, im actually interested to see if this character will be toned down. Hopefully Robbie didn't whisper in this writers ear.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
CHARLIE IS NOT SMARTER THAN SAM!
ReplyDeleteIt's not even about a computer and they make Charlie say "It's in code!"
Robbie's obsession over this character is baffling.
I love this character, but am hating her in season 10!

She was like a kindergarten teacher walking around the class and checking little kids' works, presenting them with wonderful tips!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd at the end of it all, she'll have to do the little kids' work for them because she's so awesome and giving and they're so inept!
ReplyDeleteI think I'll skip this one.
ReplyDeleteI am sure it will be great!!

ReplyDeleteFor the first time in 10 years, I will be skipping a SPN episode. I am so done with Charlie and all her sparkly awesomeness.
ReplyDeleteYeah the hair of Sammy! :P ♥ I can´t wait!! :D
