Thanks to Mr. Edmodo for the heads up.
USA Network has opted not to go forward with a third season of paramedic comedy series Sirens, from Fox 21 TV Studios, Denis Leary and Bob Fisher.
Sirens was the first original half-hour comedy series to launch under USA’s push in the genre following the off-network acquisition of Modern Family. It was soon joined by Playing House and Benched, two of which, Sirens and Benched have now been cancelled. It was a slow build out of the gate in Season 1, but Sirens developed a following from a loyal core audience and even showed ratings growth over its freshman run, despite losing its Suits lead-in halfway through, earning a second season renewal.

ReplyDeleteThat's sad. A very funny show.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm down to one comedy. Damn. I really loved this show.
ReplyDeletenot good but somewhat enjoyable
ReplyDeleteI actually like this show it's bad enough they cancel Benched which was funny and well written USA network clearly don't like comedies
ReplyDeletedamn... I only saw first season, was gonna catch up soon. so any story resolution, or at least a good leave off?
ReplyDeleteNooooooo( I loved them so much!!!
ReplyDeleteKnew this was coming but still had hope
WHY???? The ratings were good and the show was awesome! USA Network sucks!
ReplyDeleteI actually really liked this show. Would like maybe Netflix to pick it up maybe. They would be able to do more with it I think.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about that. There won't be cliffhangers of any sort.
ReplyDeleteIt's looks like USA is focusing more towards their dramas. Playing House is their only remaining comedy now.
ReplyDeleteUSA is a well-established haven for comedic shows (even their dramas are often funny), so this show probably fit their brand but if it didn't do well in ratings, unfortunately, they won't renew it.
ReplyDeleteI saw a couple episodes here and there, and thought it was pretty funny.
I hated that they canceled "Benched". I thought it was terrific and really enjoyed it throughout its run. The cancellation was not a surprise but still very disappointing.
ReplyDeleteAnd probably won't make it to a third season, unfortunately. I hope St. Clair and Parham can take it elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteA real shame, I only recently got into it but liked it a lot. USA have messed up with their comedies in a big way.
ReplyDeleteIt was a fun show. Lot of good banter. F*ck USA!!
ReplyDeletesucks, I really liked this show :(
ReplyDeleteI'll miss it
ReplyDeleteI thought it was excellent. Balanced different aspects well and always made me laugh. Gonna miss it.
ReplyDeleteI actually grew to look forward to this show. Depressing news!
ReplyDeleteUSA, what the fudge?
ReplyDeleteSeason 1 is on netflix.
ReplyDeleteDam it...I loved that show!!! It was really funny and different from the friends & family type comedy that we get shoved down our throats all the time...not happy at all 😡😫
ReplyDeleteSirens is a smart, quick-witted show with talented actors who portrayed interesting characters. So of course USA would cancel it. Hopefully another network will snatch it up. I think it would fit nicely at ABC.
