Scandal - New Gladiator Being Added

Apr 26, 2015

TVLine has learned that Liv in the near-ish future will finally get down to the business of filling one of the two vacant positions left by the dearly departed Harrison and now-White House press secretary Abby. And in a twist, I hear the new hire will be a familiar face to Scandal watchers — i.e. it’s a character Liv has previously crossed paths with (a guest star not a series regular).

  1. it's probably Marcus.

  2. She has saved all of OPA's Gladiators, so Marcus seems like a likely candidate. I hope this means B613 will be dealt with by season's end and Season5 returns to its procedural roots.

  3. This is good news for the show. Hopefully B613 will be put to bed in the finale and next season Olivia will get back to some real work at OPA.

  4. On other social sites it's said to be Marcus no news if it is...unless they bring back Stephen

  5. I hope it's Marcus. He's like the hottest dude on the show right now.

I was just saying yesterday that it feels empty and she needs to hire a new gladiator.

  8. Hire Marcus at OPA and bring back Stephen. Then the show can get back to its original premise and no more B613 nonsense.

So you want Olivia gone too? If you have been paying attention to all the season 4 episodes, and even the earlier ones, Olivia is also a B613 agent.

  11. How come is she an agent? She's involved, sure, but she never was part of it like Jake or Charlie or Huck. She never killed anyone herself; and never intended to have someone die at the hands of someone else (Black Sable, Kostyia etc.).

She murdered one of her captors. Tom said you don't have a father, you have Command. here's how Rowan described Olivia to Olivia in I'm Just A Bill:

It is your friends who do not know you, but I do.
You are a warrior never reckless, never naive, too smart to let fear drive you.
Precise, quiet, calculating, you will wait for the right time.
You will look at all the possible outcomes.
You'll understand what needs to be done.
You will pick a side and then you will handle this situation in the manner we both know it needs to be handled.
You will burn it down and never look back.
    Your friends don't know you.
They think you're loyal to people.
They don't know that you would use them as kindling for the fire if have to.
    I know you.
I know that you would never allow people to get in the way of what is right, of your fundamental belief that the Republic must stand at all costs.
I know you, because the apple does not fall far from the tree, Olivia, poison though it may be.

  13. He wants her like that. Some way she is like that. Then she falls in love with Fitzgerald Grant who is her Achille heels. It's why his father hate him so much, because his"creation" is so vulnerable with him. Olivia /Julia can have some feelings for Jake, Olivia/Alex can have sexual pleasure with Russell, and whatever guy her father would or will hire for her, she can avoid Fitz, but in spite of all, she still love him. You're not ok with that. But it's what it is.

  14. I think it's going to be Marcus, especially as his political career in DC is over.
