ReplyDeleteyea but she won't know conde has married Elizabeth already by proxy and is planning to rise up against france. Clearly, she think conde still needs protection. I'll imagine she'll end up making him stronger in his efforts to rise up against france. In history, conde and general r, who he mentions this ep, try to kidnap francis and lead an army against the crown, which starts the wars of religion. So Mary will indirectly help him tear apart france.

ReplyDeleteIt is clear that their romantic relationship is over due to Mary being “needed” in France and her overwhelming guilt for cheating on Francis.
ReplyDeleteHowever, one of my favorite things about this pair is the fact that they have so many different shades. When they are not romantic, they are good friends, allies and partners. I can’t wait to see the next chapter in the relationship (whether romantic or platonic) and where their chemistry will lead them. There are still many shades of Conde that we need to see (good and bad) and I can’t wait to see how Mary will react to them and where they will go from there. Conde has the chance to be a great character and it is clear he is going to stay around for Elizabeth, so i think eh is a great asset for the show. With Elizabeth coming, Mary is going to need someone from the English court she can trust.
I hope that after everything takes place, they can remain good friends and continue to work together.
I don't think that will happen (in terms of Mary "tearing Conde apart"). As a matter of fact i think she will continue to partner herself up with him. Elizabeth is coming and i think she will be glad to have Conde with Elizabeth. With Elizabeth coming, Mary is going to need someone from the English court she can trust.
