  • About the Daily Ratings
Each day (except Sunday) during the main TV Season we post the TV Ratings for the previous nights primetime shows for the major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, NBC). Cable Network ratings will be added to the Ratings Database.

The first item that gets posted (normally around 2pm GMT) is the early overnight analysis based on the early household numbers (these are not the same as the Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers that are posted later).

Next, if available, we will post the Top 25 Market 18-49 Ratings to give you a rough idea of the ratings to following.

Later on (normally between 4pm-5pm GMT) we post the official early overnight Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers in the table above (We also where possible now post the 18-34 and 25-54 Demo Numbers).

Finally, later in the evening (10pm-11pm GMT) or the following day, the final adjusted ratings numbers are released, these are then posted in the Ratings Database. The Final Adjusted numbers are what we use for all our Renew/Cancellation Tables, Full Season Tables, Ratings Scorecards etc (see below). Friday's Final Adjusted Ratings are normally available on the following Monday.

  1. Ouch the following and sad for Jane for being under 1 million :(

    ReplyDelete
  2. A Mike & Molly repeat got 2.4? Damn.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Are those repeat ratings for Mike and Molly correct? Damn!

Ouch at the following, i hate to see it go out like this

    ReplyDelete
  4. DWTS just a tenth off, could adjust - decent for ABC

    Ouch the following

The Voice had a rough night - I expect TNS to adjust down like aways

    Rough for CW

    ReplyDelete
  5. Yet another proof that lead-outs matter. CBS is probably wondering why they didn't show an original Mik & Molly.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Consistent for DWTS while The Voice and The Following tumbled.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I believe they are inflated

    ReplyDelete
  8. Even with a repeat and basketball, The Night Shift can't hold half of its lead in. Seriously NBC? The fact that they are accepting a 1.3 likely adjusted is just sad.

    ReplyDelete
  9. It beat every original they have aired since 24th Feb '14.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Its going to adjust down heavily in the finals because of the time zone differences. How do you people not know this?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Exactly. Following a repeat is always gonna get a worse rating Then usually and i think networks know that

    ReplyDelete
  12. Nice for DWTS holding steady; probably will adjust up too.

Just a fact, while looking at SBD's Sked:

DWTS had a 17% share in Adults 25-54 demo last night; matching NCAA at 9pm.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Of course we know thiw, but it still got that in the prelims.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Those are the ones we've been sent. I suspect there might be some adjustments

    ReplyDelete
  15. Mike and Molly is going to adjust down significantly so no reason to get excited.

    ReplyDelete
  16. These are NOT the adjustmented numbers. These are the early numbers.

How do you now know this?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Still. That's damn impressive.

    ReplyDelete
  18. He's saying that are "going" to adjust down.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Almost 10 million for M&M rerun. Damn.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Following a repeat is always bad no show Can do their normal ratings or better when they air after a repeat

    ReplyDelete
  21. A repeat of TBBT last year adjusted down 1.0 from 3.0 to 2.0.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I know that but its going to adjust down significantly so i am not sure why everyone is excited.

  23. Farewell Parks and RecApril 7, 2015 at 4:11 PM

First time TNS got a 50% retention.

    Nooooooooooo Jane!

    ReplyDelete
  24. The Mike & Molly repeat got a 1.0 in Top 25. You're looking at basketball inflation on these Fast National numbers. FYI.

    ReplyDelete
  25. YtY
The Voice down 7 tenths from a 3.5
    DWTS down 2 tenths from a 2.2
    The Following down 5 tenths

    ReplyDelete
  26. Finally! CW can see, how horrible mistake was cancellation of Hart of Dixie!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Alright, I honestly forget: is Gotham done for the season??

    ReplyDelete
  28. Probably adjust down one or two-tenths.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I think it returns next week to air out its remaining episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  30. You replied to the wrong comment.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Huh. I would have thought it was done considering the timing of the reruns.

    ReplyDelete
  32. People can only react to the numbers they are provided with. So until we get those adjustments these are the numbers that people will comment on.

    ReplyDelete
  33. And with that, The Night Shift goes from completely atrocious to just plain awful. The levels of improvement on NBC.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Farewell Parks and RecApril 7, 2015 at 4:13 PM

Or how the best coast creates a ratings distortion.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm impressed with Dancing with the Stars. I love that it stayed flat throughout the two hours. It was effected by NCAA Championship. And the eliminations have been shocking so far so the season is not predictable.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I think Gotham will return low next week

    ReplyDelete
  37. But there inflated

    ReplyDelete
  38. It wouldn't surprise me. FOX is really hanging on by Empire alone.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Unless you are a TBBT repeat.

    ReplyDelete
  40. The Night Shift is still the least of NBC's worries.

Right now the network has 2+ hours of regularly scheduled repeats and 5+ hours of Dateline every week.

    ReplyDelete
  41. But we don't know how inflated, so unless we get the finals, we can't say how much it will adjust down.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Was thinking the same. Wonder how it'll return next week, with the such long hiatus. I think that's due to the fact it was originally ordered for solely 16 installments but was then expanded to 22.

Thinking around 2.0 for next week; only 3 more eps after that.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Best coast being the east coast, right?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Agreed. I hope the standalone Anniversary special, slated for next month, does really well. I'm wondering how they're going to go about that; scheduling?

    ReplyDelete
  45. At least it held 0.4 :/

    ReplyDelete
  46. It's all worrisome. NBC is going to go into May Sweeps with below 1.5 shows regularly.

What highlights The Night Shift's struggles is it's bombing with a 3.0+ lead in at 9:30. NBC just wasted their biggest lead in. That puts it top of the list since NBC could have put infomercials here to do as well.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Ouch Jane under a million viewers and TO at 0.5.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Farewell Parks and RecApril 7, 2015 at 4:21 PM

    That's the least coast.

    ReplyDelete
  49. All i am gonna say is yikes.

  51. i think for cw this year "flash" was the only one hit.others and old ones r crashing

    ReplyDelete
  52. Banged by Chris PrattApril 7, 2015 at 4:28 PM

    The Following is done.
    Terrible HH breakdowns for TNS.

    ReplyDelete
  53. TNS is up yay.

    ReplyDelete
  54. No it's not.Its ratings aren't good either,it dosent have critical acclaim/awards like Jane & isn't a ratings hit like Flash ,dosent do well internationally and Rachel wants to be a stay at home full time & dosent live in LA anymore.CW dosent have room for more renewals anyway and was going to have to cancel some shows to make room for new shows and has enough episodes for short syndication & a proper ending, which is what CW cares about.HoD isn't doing better than Jane or TO anyway.I like Dixie too, but I never expected it to go beyond this fourth season and we fans are lucky that it lasted this long.

    ReplyDelete
  55. It would be great seeing a lot of the former contestants returning for the DWTS Anniversary special. If they promote it as a can't miss special and tease a lot of exciting things planned, it could pull in high 2's.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I agree NBC has pretty much given up this Spring.

Thursday is the biggest sign of that. What network places a news magazine before their top rated drama, and a repeat after it? A network that simply doesn't care.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Hahahahaha! You're crazy

    ReplyDelete
  58. yikes @TO and Jane

    ReplyDelete
  59. This is totally fan excuse bingo, but I was really confused as to which shows were new on the CW this week and which weren't. Most of the shows I watch on the CW Arrow, Flash SPN are taking this week off. I knew iZombie would be on because it's new and they wouldn't give it a break this early, but I never even thought about TO being new. Next week everything should be new, so maybe the numbers will come up.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Yeah the odd schedule CW had the last couple weeks were confusing.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Bye,bye The Folllowing.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Jeez rough night for the CW. I think the big drop might be more due to outside factors than the actual shows though.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I never thought the ratings were good enough to get another season, not with how Fox just can't keep steady numbers for most of their shows.

    ReplyDelete
  64. OUCH! that must of hurt for TO

    ReplyDelete
  65. Actuyally, HOD never went below a million viewers this season.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Going in not knowing much of the cast, I am really starting to like everyone on the show. Im excited for Disney Night next week!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Yes it did, the episode it got a 0.3

    ReplyDelete
  68. Nope, not this season
    http://stvplus.com/show/79/Hart-of-Dixie

    ReplyDelete
  69. That episode got 1.02 million viewers

    ReplyDelete
  70. Hmm, I must've seen it on another site that made a mistake then

    ReplyDelete
  71. Saw on another site it did but I guess they were wrong

    ReplyDelete
  72. I'm not surprised by the ratings and really thought after last season it should have ended..but, i guess Fox didn't have anything to replace it with.

    ReplyDelete
  73. They had other shows they could have kept.

    ReplyDelete
  74. The originals should be up that episode was awesome. I think that the Originals is the best show better than the Vampire Diaries.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Same here! My personal favorite to win is Rumer, because she's been so consistent and truly strives to grow each week. And, Val has somehow never win before. A crime!
