Ratings Breakdown:
ABC got a boost care of the “Dancing With the Stars 10th Anniversary Special,” which finished second in the 8 p.m. hour with a 7.2 rating/12 share in the household overnights. Tops in the time period, of course, was “NCIS” on CBS at a 9.4/15, but a 6.5/10 for third-place “The Voice” should be more than enough for the singing competition to lead in all the key young adult demographics.
Despite the improved lead-in support, “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” on ABC only had a slight bump from one week earlier, with a distant second-place 3.3/ 5 in the overnights from 9-10 p.m. And it led into a third-place 4.3/ 7 for a special edition of “20/20” at 10 p.m., themed Captive: A Journey of Survival and Hope.
At 9 p.m. on CBS was freshman “NCIS”: New Orleans,” which fits like a glove out of parent “NCIS” at an 8.7/14. And that led into on-the-fence “Person of Interest” at a 5.3/ 9 at 10 p.m. (#1), which dipped by 40 percent from the 9:30 p.m. portion of “NCIS: New Orleans” (8.8/14).
Airing out of “The Voice” on NBC was sophomore sitcom “Undateable” at a 3.0/ 5 (#3), which held only 45 percent of the 8:30 p.m. portion of the singing competition. And that led into the season (or, more likely, series) finale of recently introduced sitcom “One Big Happy” (#3: 2.2/ 3 at 9:30 p.m.), followed by “Chicago Fire” at a second-place 4.7/ 8 at 10 p.m.
Elsewhere, tired “Hell’s Kitchen” on Fox (#4t: 2.6/ 4 at 8 p.m.) led into sitcoms “New Girl” (#4: 1.7/ 3) and recent entry “Weird Loners” (#5: 1.1/ 2) from 9-10 p.m, which is an absolute goner. And The CW’s solid “The Flash” (#4t: 2.6/ 4 at 8 p.m.) led into a 1.2/ 2 (#5) for new drama “iZombie,” which was flat from last week.
