Last Week's Final Adjusted Ratings
Early Ratings Analysis by Marc Berman (TVMediaInsights)
About the Daily Ratings
Each day (except Sunday) during the main TV Season we post the TV Ratings for the previous nights primetime shows for the major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, NBC). Cable Network ratings will be added to the Ratings Database.
The first item that gets posted (normally around 2pm GMT) is the early overnight analysis based on the early household numbers (these are not the same as the Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers that are posted later).
Next, if available, we will post the Top 25 Market 18-49 Ratings to give you a rough idea of the ratings to following.
Later on (normally between 4pm-5pm GMT) we post the official early overnight Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers in the table above (We also where possible now post the 18-34 and 25-54 Demo Numbers).
Finally, later in the evening (10pm-11pm GMT) or the following day, the final adjusted ratings numbers are released, these are then posted in the Ratings Database. The Final Adjusted numbers are what we use for all our Renew/Cancellation Tables, Full Season Tables, Ratings Scorecards etc (see below). Friday's Final Adjusted Ratings are normally available on the following Monday.

did Marc take a day off again?
ReplyDeleteO.o That's a first for me.
ReplyDeleteSo annoying when these delays happen!
ReplyDeleteHe wrote in his newsletter (which was sent about 10 minutes ago) that the HH ratings were not available at the time.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what Marc has been busy doing
ReplyDeleteAnd of course its on a Wednesday. By now everyone here knows how much I anticipate Weenesday ratings lol
ReplyDeleteAnd me because of Arrow!
ReplyDeleteOMG I anticipate the Wednesday ratings every week. I hope ABC and NBC did alright and didn't take a plunge like Tuesday did. Tuesday was a bloodbath.
ReplyDeleteExcept if you were called The Flash ;)
ReplyDeleteMe because of ABC comedies, Nashville and SVU\CPD!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, Flash defied the odds yesterday ;)
ReplyDeleteMe because of Idol
ReplyDeleteI hope Idol rises again!
ReplyDeleteI guess you missed the text at the top of the article :)
ReplyDeleteWill ratings take a hit tonight given that there is the draft and the big Marvel opening ? ( yes I know fan bingo)
ReplyDeleteIt's just a poor excuse.
ReplyDeleteI did, like always clicked on the Berman article and was kinda dissapointed. Should've read further but you know me, always only getting 60% of the story :P
ReplyDeleteMe too – Arrow & SPN. I know they're both renewed, but still.
ReplyDeleteThe male skewing shows like TBBT, TB might drop a little but the female skewing shows(GA, Bones) should be fine.
ReplyDelete:)
ReplyDeleteIs it true that Amell and Fox are taping in Canada?
ReplyDeleteI thought TMNT2 shot in New York?
ReplyDeleteOpss my bad
ReplyDeleteNoooooooooo
ReplyDeletea 0.1 demo decline is acceptable ,
ReplyDeletei somehow have a bad feeling abt this movie
ReplyDeleteI am still sad about the cancellation yesterday. Even though i knew it was coming. I cannot really concentrate on anything else
ReplyDeleteLOL Nielsen.
ReplyDeleteWill Grey's bit TBBT?
ReplyDeleteFrom 8-8:30 is the window of the first three picks in the draft, we might see TBBT hitting an eight-year low
Padded ratings perhaps? I remember Shark Tank.
ReplyDeletedon't we all? Really, the first one was a dumb action flick with bad acting. Part 2 will be the same, especially since Amell isn't a strong actor either.
ReplyDeleteSo what can we expect? A completely stupid plot, some cool visuals, Megan Fox' butt and William Fichtner. So I'm good with it for what it will be
Really!? I didn't know Bones was a female skewing show.
ReplyDeleteat least it'll have a satisfying ending from what I've gathered. Better good closure than more seasons and a cliffhanger :)
ReplyDeleteI don't watch any Wednesday shows (not ones currently airing anyway) but for some reason I keep going into the ratings thread for Wednesday...
ReplyDeleteArrow better hold on to that 1.0 today, last night was insane!
ReplyDeleteThey did say it will have a tiny cliffhanger,so......
ReplyDeleteLast year, first round drew 12.4 MM average and 5.7 rating combined (it aired on ESPN & NFL Network live). Those are significant numbers with higher numbers during first half. So, yeah, it's a legit threat to Thursday's ratings.
ReplyDeleteAmerican Idol got a 16.8
ReplyDeleteSVU got a 7.4
Modern Family got a 6.2
Lol, that's probably why they were delayed. Though wasn't Modern Family actually that high at one point?
ReplyDeleteSeason 3 premiere of Modern Family got a 6.0, so at one point it rated that high.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, at one point, all of those shows rated as high
Maybe Supernatural did a good job on the ratings and he doesn't want to admit it? Lol.
ReplyDeleteWait, that's the numbers that Neilsen really got at first? Lol Now we know why the ratings got delayed lol
ReplyDeleteNo, they're joking. No numbers have been released.
ReplyDeleteI'm the same, and Resifan pisses me off :(
ReplyDeleteIt's 2004 all over again!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh okay, I was worried for a moment :) Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteI will never visit Tvbythenumbers again. forget about him and that site
ReplyDeleteArrow 0.7, 2.40m...
ReplyDelete(showbuzzdaily)
For real?
ReplyDeleteSeems like yes, hoping that's a mistake.
ReplyDeleteYea, he's gloating up a storm over there on a few threads :(
ReplyDeleteShowbuzzdaily is showing 0.8 for me.
ReplyDeleteNo Arrow!!!! Why? Oh Why do you insist on doing this to me every spring? Urgh!! ABC did quite well though and CBS did badly.
ReplyDeleteWinners: The Middle, The Goldbergs, Modern Family, Survivor, Chicago PD, Law and Order SVU
Honorable Mention: Black-ish, Supernatural, American Idol
Losers: Nashville, Criminal Minds, CSI Cyber
WTF!!!0.8???????/
ReplyDeleteNBC will do a crossover again soon enough!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI know right? I am so annoyed with this right now!!! Why?!!?!
ReplyDeleteNo, it got a .8
ReplyDeleteSimply amazing for Chicago PD and SVU
ReplyDeleteI just don't get it either.
ReplyDeleteWow Criminal Minds lost to CPD.
ReplyDeleteModern Family below 8 million but steady in demo.
Good for ABC comedies! Great for SPN, considering Arrow :(
ReplyDeleteSupernatural built on Arrow in 18-34... What in the world happened with Arrow last night? Like seriously?!
ReplyDeleteI was absolutely right about the crossover numbers! So that means no one is interested in CF anymore?
ReplyDeleteThe first crossover show rarely benefits from crossover events. It's always the follow up ones. So that is an unfair comparison.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind because TBBT is double renewed. & Doing good still.
ReplyDeleteI thinks is becuse last 3-way crossover CF was useless...
ReplyDeleteI think it's because the main story is more developed in the other two shows; CF just introduces us to the events.
ReplyDeleteYes for The Middle climbing back up to 2.0, Goldbergs and Modern Family do what they do, Blackish and Nashville (best season yet) doing good as well.
ReplyDeleteAlso CPD and SVU did amazing! I'm starting to think CPD should move to 9 PM and SVU moves to Thursdays after Blacklist in the fall.
Even though I would love Supernatural to keep these numbers, I'm wondering if it'll get adjusted down in the finals.
ReplyDeleteDamn it, Arrow.
ReplyDeleteWow at CBS hitting new lows.
Great for NBC and SVU growing from CPD. Lol at CF repeat being so close to TMoL
It's pissing people off this season. :(
ReplyDeleteWaiting for the inevitable ___ recurring characters are why this show is terrible (and the "They're mean to [Dean, Sam or Cas]" posts) for SPN's ratings, while ignoring that it's not that far off Arrow at this point (even if it adjusts down and Arrow adjusts up).
ReplyDeleteTerrible, really hoping the numbers are closer to a 0.9 with more decimals...
ReplyDeleteIt's possible but the half hours look quite decent with a 0.8-0.7
ReplyDeleteA four hour crossover next season featuring Chicago Med is sure thing.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy for SPN (if one can be happy with a 0.7), but good grief, Arrow!! Is this a backlash against the creative direction that began in last week's ep? Or just a spring slip?
ReplyDeleteA lot of people seem unhappy with this season, but it may be more down to DST.
ReplyDeleteI think just a spring slip. Last year it was the same thing. In fact, lsat night's episode is still up year to year, even if it doesn't adjust up, which it should!
ReplyDeleteI guess i am not the only one realizing how much the quality of Arrow is declining this season
ReplyDeleteI know i am going to get hate for this comment, but that's my opinion. The show is nowhere near as perfect as S2 was
I still love Arrow just as much.
ReplyDeleteThis season has been a mess.
ReplyDeleteHalf Hours
ReplyDeleteNashville 1.3/1.2
CSI Cyber 1.3/1.2
Arrow 0.8/0.9
Supernatural 0.8/0.7
Criminal Minds 1.7/1.7
Chicago PD 1.8/1.8
SVU 2.0/2.0
I have hated this season
ReplyDeleteIt's up year to year.. even yesterday.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I hadn't see the half numbers yet. I hope you're right! :D
ReplyDeleteYet, it's still higher rated than last year, even at lows.
ReplyDeleteSo why include that show in the first place?
ReplyDeleteSo that CF fans check out CPD and SVU
ReplyDeleteThis season has been pretty messy but i did like these last 2 episodes very much!
ReplyDeleteWow SVU
ReplyDeleteWow at SVU it needs to go Wednesday 10pm next season.
ReplyDeleteTrue – easy to get hung up on a down week and forget how amazing Arrow's ratings trend has been year-to-year. The only reason a 0.8 looks so bad is because it's not been the norm this year like it was last year!
ReplyDeleteYeah what Andy said.
ReplyDeleteSucks to be THAT show i guess!
ReplyDeleteEveryone keeps benefiting from it except the show itself!
So far its mixed. But I think they need to clear out these characters for next year.
ReplyDeleteYikes at CBS, I cant see Cyber getting renewed.
ReplyDeleteAnd also, it's obvious the last parts gets more viwers...
ReplyDeleteExactly. Still sucks to see it though!
ReplyDeleteBecause the entire case started because of a FIRE that the Chicago Firefighters were called in. That's why.
ReplyDeleteYou guys, a 0.8 for a show on the CW in its third season is beyond really good! nth to complain or worry about
ReplyDeleteIt's not going to adjust down with 0.8/0.7 although Aroown can adjust up.
ReplyDeleteFlash hits 1.5 yesterday and Arrow drops to .8?!
ReplyDeleteUgghhhhhh.....
What the hell is that 1.7 for Criminal Minds one week before the season finale???
ReplyDeleteGlad for that 2.0 from The Middle.
ReplyDeleteVery unlikely
ReplyDeleteThose are more in line with the ratings that NBC should have been expecting for the crossover. Overall, I'd view the whole lineup (including the Chicago Fire repeat at 8 PM) a success. I wouldn't be surprised if NBC did this in the fall. SVU benefitted from 10 PM and Chicago PD boosted the 9 PM hour. Chicago Fire 's repeat wasn't too far off what The Mysteries of Laura earns in originals.
ReplyDeleteThese numbers are more for the crossover conclusion...
ReplyDeleteCPD also builds on SVU last crossover.
SVU and CPD in Top 3 for the night in A18-34. Crossover week actually worked.
ReplyDeleteI need a 3 next to Modern Family. Like right now (j/k, I can wait until finals)
How about 0.7 for 10yo? And people still say it dying and collapsing.
ReplyDeleteGreat for both. Chicago Med is even more locked than before.
ReplyDeletePresumably Chicago Med will be green lit for the fall calendar so a four part crossover will presumably be on the cards at some point???
ReplyDeleteThe show is up from last year ratings wise. So your assessment is wrong. S2 was not perfect btw and this season while not as good as last year has been fine with some stuff being sloppy which is the majority opinion by fans. But Arrow has gotten to the "It's not The Flash so I must hate it" treatment by people. But let's just see how Flash in its 3rd season
ReplyDeleteHappy May Weather Day for everyone reading this on May 1st! :D
ReplyDeleteSummer is almost here!
Neither do I.
ReplyDeleteDamn a full 0.2 drop in the demo for Arrow. Hopefully it will go up 0.1 in the finals
ReplyDeleteNo hate here. Gul should have been saved for a later season IMO. I find this season just so awkward the way it has played out. It's still good, just not as good.
ReplyDeleteMe too. :)
ReplyDeleteThe Wrap mentioned that if both Chicago Med and the limited Law and Order revival series are a go, NBC's next big event will likely be a five way crossover.
ReplyDeleteAnd I wish I didn't know the numbers now
ReplyDeleteThat awkward moment when Chicago Fire repeat has better ratings than most of NBC shows original airings :D
ReplyDeleteWow that will be awesome.
ReplyDeleteBut that's exactly what happened in the last crossover.Fire got much better ratings then!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they could find a way to work in The Blacksit.....
ReplyDeleteThen NBC=Nothing But Crossovers
I never thought I'd be AI losing from regular shows. That day came yesterday!!!!
ReplyDeleteHalf hours for Survivor?
ReplyDeleteOh wow hadn't heard about reviving Law and Order but that can't be anything but a good thing for the network.
ReplyDeleteRight?!
ReplyDelete2.0/2.2
ReplyDeleteYay! Middle tied for 1st in half hour :)
ReplyDeleteIf they thought it would draw, I'm sure NBC would. At this point, they need ratings anyway they can get them.
ReplyDeleteHopefully I am not disappointed when I finally catch up but I am not sure I like what I have been hearing about these last few episodes
ReplyDeleteIt tends to do very decently in repeats, which is great for whatever syndication package it earns. Viewers watch it in repeats.
ReplyDeleteI agree. If it ain't broke...don't fix it. Kudos that the Crossovers are working for them.
ReplyDeleteWell if they do any of these cross overs I hope they get Richard Belzer as a Munch to guest star in all the shows, just because it would tickle me to have Munch just continue his streak of being on more shows than any other character.
ReplyDeleteNot sure how people can complain about that ep. It was like a 6 year payoff to the Novak storyline. Thought that is the kind of stuff people wanted.
ReplyDeletewell....crap then -,-
ReplyDeleteAnd I thought S2 was horrible :/ I only thought S1 was just ok too. I dropped it during S2.
ReplyDeleteArrow is depressing me. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteSeason two was definitely better. That being said, for me, the season was more uneven than bad, with stretches of good episodes and good arcs - especially the crossover episodes to 3x13, then 3x18 to our current episode - and some not so great ones - 3x06 and 3x07, for example - with some bad character decisions thrown in, like Oliver trusting Malcolm or sticking Ray in Palmer Industries limbo for so long. For me, season two is better than season three, but season three is better than season one, and while I was frustrated a lot by some of the dumb decisions that have been made at times this season, I still enjoyed the show most of the time. But that's just me.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the ratings are still up year to year. And from the half hours, it seems likely it's going to adjust up again. So it's still doing better than season two ... which is weird to me, too, but whatever.
POOR CM! like I said I'm not a big fan of s10, but I'm still a fan of the show and I really hate these ratings :(
ReplyDeletehopefully there's at least one final season, it deserves a proper farewell.
In my opinion, the payoff would have been better had Amelia lived and taken Claire home with her. Now we'll just get more of RobDam's 'Sue's' in S11 - ClaireSue.
ReplyDelete+ a low for Cyber on Wednesday ! (it hit 1.2 on Tuesday) but that's the worst ratings + demo on its regular timeslot too.
ReplyDeleteNo hate from me, in fact I can't agree more with what you said!
ReplyDeleteAnyone has double digits for CW? Pls?
ReplyDeleteArrow 0.837
ReplyDeleteSPN 0.717
Courtesy of RJK on Spotted Ratings
Thx! So SPN keeps 0.7 and Arrow adjusts up. Everybody is happy
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'm expecting! Not a bad night.
ReplyDeleteIt's why I've only watched sporadically. Mostly for Ra's, Nyssa, or if I read it has a lot of Diggle in it. It has no direction. It's just all over the place. Not to mention some weak acting and soapy moments.
ReplyDeleteGood for NBC last night, crossovers help them. Also good for The Middle, it is pretty consistent for ABC. Bad numbers for CBS. Cyber is definitely not going to make it. Poor Idol, it will still get another year because these numbers are better than anything they have going right now
ReplyDeletethey mean quality wise not ratings wise
ReplyDeleteArrow must have some competitio/viewer watch Chicago Fire rerun/survivor or idol?
ReplyDeleteIf we stand by the numbers, this season is doing better than S2.
ReplyDeleteQuality speaking? That's more personal. For me, the two seasons are just different. Season 2 was more fast and action-based while Season 3 is a more personal and emotional and dark and character driven.
