Last Week's Final Adjusted Ratings
Early Ratings Analysis by Marc Berman (TVMediaInsights)
About the Daily Ratings
Each day (except Sunday) during the main TV Season we post the TV Ratings for the previous nights primetime shows for the major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, NBC). Cable Network ratings will be added to the Ratings Database.
The first item that gets posted (normally around 2pm GMT) is the early overnight analysis based on the early household numbers (these are not the same as the Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers that are posted later).
Next, if available, we will post the Top 25 Market 18-49 Ratings to give you a rough idea of the ratings to following.
Later on (normally between 4pm-5pm GMT) we post the official early overnight Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers in the table above (We also where possible now post the 18-34 and 25-54 Demo Numbers).
Finally, later in the evening (10pm-11pm GMT) or the following day, the final adjusted ratings numbers are released, these are then posted in the Ratings Database. The Final Adjusted numbers are what we use for all our Renew/Cancellation Tables, Full Season Tables, Ratings Scorecards etc (see below). Friday's Final Adjusted Ratings are normally available on the following Monday.

S&L!!!!! That's amazing!
ReplyDeleteAmazing for S and L
ReplyDeleteWhoa secrets and lies!!!!! I wish revenge were higher. At least it rose in viewers
ReplyDeleteWow at Secrets and Lies, but the show really deserves it
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing, can't wait to catch up with this week episode
Very disappointing for Revenge, i expected 1.2-1.3 with last week's ending
Damn it! why can't Revenge rise? I was wishing that it would get a 1.2 after S&Ls 1.7
ReplyDeleteOh my God Secrets and Lies!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell deserved! Amazing episode. Can't wait to see the end!
It beneffited from a strong S&L. It has locked a renewal for next season.
ReplyDeleteIt kind of reminds me of Scandal S1 ratings: steady rock ratings and then inching upwards b the end
Does anyone have half hours for revenge?
ReplyDelete1.1/1.0
ReplyDeleteRevenge didn't benefit at all from Secrets and Lies. Great for Secrets and Lies though!!!
ReplyDelete1.1/1.0
ReplyDeleteIt did in viewers
ReplyDeleteThanks
ReplyDeleteS&L doesn't have the lead in Scandal had in its first season.
ReplyDelete1.7 for S&L seems too good to be true. Was ABC pre-empted somewhere?
ReplyDeleteRevenge, pls rise for the final episodes, PLS!
ReplyDeleteNot sure if I should be happy for OUAT tying a freshman or sad that OUAT is as low as S&L :P
ReplyDeleteHopefully OUAT hits a 2.0 for the finale
ReplyDeleteRevenge seemed to have been so up in viewers, just wish that it was the same way in the demo
ReplyDeleteWow, S&L hit a 1.7! It's more than renewed now.
ReplyDeleteCBS must UNrenew MS. There is no way they can justify keeping it in favor of other higher rated shows. Good grief 1.0 AND 4th place finish. Even Dateline at 8 p.m. got 30% higher demo!
ReplyDeleteWhich makes it all the more impressive. I just meant by its rating trends, but yeah, S&L situation is considerably worse and it has done outright amazing considering
ReplyDeleteWhat puts an end to the whole "Revenge dropped because of bad lead-in" excuse.
ReplyDeleteWhich don't matter. But then again, nothing matters at this point.
ReplyDeleteAnd I keep repeating myself, but why the hell did they move TAR to Sundays. It was doing waaay better at 8.
ReplyDeleteIt'll have OUAT as a lead, and it has shown to hold at leas 60% retention each time it aired after it. Should hit at least 1.2, and could hit more depending on how OUAT does for its finale (a 2.3 could mean a 1.4 for instance)
ReplyDeleteCBS will put it on a horrible timeslot waiting for it to fail, get rid of it and replace it with other show.
ReplyDeleteTrue... How was last night? I havw not watched it yet
ReplyDeleteTAR would be doing 1.5-2.0 on Sundays right now, CBS really made a wrong decision there.
ReplyDeleteExactly. I am just hoping people return for the finale episodes
ReplyDeleteSecrets and Lies just won itself a renewal
ReplyDeleteIt was good, though mostly set up, but then again the episode was called "Aftermath after all". It is the calm before the storm
ReplyDeleteI think that Revenge is more compatible with OUAT, then Resurrection and S&Ls
ReplyDeleteOUAT is pulling similar ratings to S&L and Revenge is still not benefitting much.
ReplyDeleteSecrets and Lies just got renewed, super happy for the show, I really love it. OUAT hang in there which is also great. CBS and NBC had abismal nights and FOX hang in there.
ReplyDeleteWinners: Secrets and Lies
Honorable Mention: The Simpsons, Once Upon a Time
Losers: A.D., American Odyssey, Madam Secretary, The Good Wife, Battle Creek, Revenge
If it rises farther next week, it won't just win a renewal, it'll win a fall spot
ReplyDeleteRevenge is more compatible with OUAT
ReplyDeleteAlso why is American Odyssey still on schedule. Allegiance was pulled when it hit 0.7, right?
ReplyDeleteOh okay. I am sure the final two episodes will blow our minds
ReplyDeletes&l is basically number one for the night. Tied in demo but higher in viewers and it kicked butt in 25-54 demo.
ReplyDeleteSecrets & Lies renewal in 3 2 1...
ReplyDeleteWhy are some people complaining that Revenge did not benefit from raising S&L? It is heavily serialized show before it's finale. The only way it is going to rise is if old fans come back and not because of strong lead in
ReplyDeleteIt sure was. American Odyssey couldn't even beat iZombie.
ReplyDeleteJust saw OUAT and it was amazing... That twist! Deserves better ratings!!!
ReplyDeletePretty good for B99 especially after being off for about a month
ReplyDeleteI was expecting WAY WORSE!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think that's on the table. ABC has no room and the show is limited anyway, so I don't think it is better utilized in the fall.
ReplyDeleteTrue...
ReplyDeleteCould CBS cancel Madam Secretary ? I know they already had renew it very soon, but it's doing bad..; I'm pretty sure they regret that decison...
ReplyDeleteI really hope that doesn't mean a full season. I am loving the 10 episodes mystery. I could take 10 to 13, but any more than that would just be dragging the story.
ReplyDeleteI'm putting my bets on that OUAT will score at least a 2 for the finale, but that's just a guess.
ReplyDeleteIf OUAT scores a 2.0, Revenge should pull at least a 1.2 (its lowest OUAT retention to date is 61%)
Pls no spoilers here..
ReplyDeleteNobody is complaining
ReplyDeleteAgree entirely.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree
ReplyDeleteYea it doesn't make much sense that it's still on schedule.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, but i really hope it will stay that way, because i love that show
ReplyDeleteIt could always share the timeslot with another limited series. That's what ABC intended to do with Resurrection. Of course, we're counting on the show not to collapse as Resurrection did
ReplyDeleteHave you watched all abc shows from last night yet?
ReplyDeleteI doubt it. They'll premiere something new week after The Oscars.
ReplyDeleteResurrection turned out to be a slow burn bore-fest.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely TAR and CSI moves were bad. TAR especially. Look at the boost TAR brought to TGW v MS. CBS owns it, so they can kill it. Shows like Cyber and Stalker are far better performers and actually have a shot at syndication. MS does not and it's killing the entire night!
ReplyDeleteSeason 2 is a given, some episodes will be produced. What could happen is that they short the episodes ordered for season 2
ReplyDeletewOw! Great numbers for Secret and Lies. So happy!
ReplyDeleteGlad Once stayed steady!
Sad for Revenge, people just doesn't tune in live.
I just don't get how Revenge rises nearly half a million of viewers but yet still stays the same in the demo. One would think if it rises this much in viewers it could at least get a 1.2
ReplyDeleteSunday Fall
ReplyDeleteOUAT
S&L
Castle
Guest is back on TVBTN ans i had 20 emails this morning. Jeez
ReplyDeleteIt grabbed on S&L's older audience rather than the younger
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering the same thing.
ReplyDeleteCBS can do whatever it wants - it owns it. I'm sure there is a minor penalty involved, but the production costs v the damage it is doing to the entire Sunday line-up is far too costly. They can only keep one dog.
ReplyDeleteMe too, right after i finished watching OUAT, i see that Guest has flooded my notifications
ReplyDeleteABC won the night !
ReplyDeleteEven Revenge is beating CBS and NBC by far at 10.
At least revenge is doing better than the other shows at 10pm which are both just in their First season
ReplyDeleteHow was revenge? Of course I have not watched it yet
ReplyDeleteIf ABC can fix 10 they will have solid night
ReplyDeleteLack of replacement? There are only so many hours Dateline can fill in for
ReplyDeleteThe episode was basically a set up leading to something, but it was still good
ReplyDeleteIt could get The Millers' treatment.
ReplyDeleteS&S now is certain for renewal ...
ReplyDeleteIt's a bit sad that Revenge is winning with such a low demo, though. But at least it's doing it and it cemented the victory for ABC
ReplyDeleteIt was a bit pale, but really worked out well towards the finale moments delivering some shockers.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe CBS is going to cancel Stalker when Madam Secretary is now at 1.0.
ReplyDeleteHitting new highs before the finale = renewal
ReplyDeleteMy comment does not contain any spoilers!
ReplyDeleteCould ABC grow S&L a la Scandal
ReplyDeleteStalker is getting cancelled because of its own low ratings.
ReplyDeleteI'm ready to binge Secrets and Lies now but I want to wait for the season to finish. I've thought about watching the original version on Netflix but I don't want to be distracted when I watch this one. It looks so good.
ReplyDeleteSo do you think S&L could hit 1.9-2.0 next week? After this rise I deem it possible.
ReplyDeleteAnd if so, do you think the show will come back next fall or midseason?
Because MS is such a big hit.
ReplyDeleteIt's following Scandal S1 trend, so it looks possible
ReplyDeleteIt's very possible.
ReplyDeleteI am a little ambitious in thinking that S&L can rise even further for the finale? Maybe hit a 2.0?
ReplyDeleteYup I expect it
ReplyDeleteI am just mad that they did not cancel it already, because it is sure to get cancelled and Maggie Q was not available during pilot season :(
ReplyDeleteGood return for B99!
ReplyDeleteI just saw the numbers and said myself Omabin will be glad about this. ^^
ReplyDeleteIt was a really strong episode and they majorly messed with my head towards the finale next week. Will certainly be a shocker
Good for Secrets and Lies. It should most definitely be renewed. Madam Secretary sure pulls in viewers just not the demo numbers advertisers want. The Amazing Race should have stayed on Sunday. Kalnda's goodbye didn't do much for Good Wife either. OUAT did decently. NBC is sure hoping fall gets here fast, their Sundays are horrible. Even though FOX is still doing badly B99 and LMOE actually did alright compared to what Mindy and New Girl have been doing.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was renewed way too early.
ReplyDeleteThe episode was cool but if you talk about a certain twist, it was more awful than anything.
ReplyDeleteI think it will hit a 1.9 next week, and it could adjust up to 2.0.
ReplyDeleteThis would be my realm of predictions for the finale:
Pessimistic: 1.5-1.6
Realistic: 1.7-1.8
Optimistic: 1.9-2.0
Out of this world: 2.1+
Like I said, both are low rated, but CBS owns MS and doesn't own Stalker, so if they'll prefer MS to renew MS. If Stalker got better ratings say 1.7+, it would have gotten renewed.
ReplyDeleteThe show is pretty good.
ReplyDeleteYep, they should have waited for spring instead of making decision about it dsurong football season.
ReplyDeleteA 0.5 on the big 4 is just atrocious.
ReplyDeleteSundays next season:
ReplyDeleteOUAT
S&L (12 episodes) / Kingmakers (10 episodes)
Castle or Nashville
I know, but it's the only explenation I can come up with. It's just awful
ReplyDeleteCBS owns MS,WB owns Stalker.MS was much higher rated rated when it was renewed and CBzs wants a companion for and eventual sucsessor to GW.Critics hated Stalker & CBS is hoping MS will bring awards like GW.Whats done is done so deal.Stalkers ratings weren't that good either.
ReplyDeleteIt's painful but wonderful at the same time because it's by far my favorite storyline ever
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. Secrets & Lies now has pulled in its highest demo yet, even more better than its series premiere ratings. It is now pulling in numbers that Agents of Shield gets on Tuesday, while facing Game of Thrones.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I wonder if 66 episodes will be enough for the country cable station that is picking it up for syndication. Because I would really cancel it and keep Castle.
ReplyDeleteNashville deserves that 4th season renewal
ReplyDeleteExcept it is still a leaked episode for GOT this week :/ I'm pretty sure it is something which do something in the ratings.
ReplyDeleteAgree, if possible I would send Nashville to Fridays, but the night is already all packed up there. And with the new AoS spin off probably taking on Tuesdays nights I can only see it moving to Sundays, unless ABC wants to try out compatibility with DWTS on Mondays, but I'm not placing my bets on it.
ReplyDeleteIt should air its 4th and final season during the summer IMO
Lionsgate will surely do anything to get it renewed. They fought like hell last season to get a full season.
ReplyDeleteDeserves? Based on what?
ReplyDeleteHmm okay
ReplyDeleteExcept it is still a leaked episode for GOT this week :/ I'm pretty sure it is something which change something in the ratings.
ReplyDeleteIt's only getting a 4th season because of syndication.
ReplyDeletebeing consistant in the ratings while all other shows are falling hard this year. it might not be the best rated show but it's pretty stable, I don't get all the hate for this show
ReplyDeleteCBS drama ranks for the week:
ReplyDeleteScorpion 2.2
CM 2.0
Cyber 1.5
LA 1.4
Elementary 1.3
Cyber (S) 1.2
NO (R) 1.1
H50 1.1
NCIS (R) 1.0
BB 1.0
MS 1.0
TGW 1.0
BC 0.7
If the leaked effected the ratings, it wouldn't have hit a new series high for the premiere. It was also a leaked episode the weak before that but S&L didn't rise this much.
ReplyDeleteIt's ratings sucks
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that Revenge rose in viewers. Hopefully for its last episode it can pull in over 5 million viewers and end with 1.2 demo.
ReplyDeleteS&L could be a new Ressurection and see its downfall during the next season.
ReplyDeleteYes it does,it's been very steady in ratings,a season away from syndication, has concert/music sales
ReplyDeleteGoT has been rating pretty high despite the leaks, I must say. The season premiere scored a series high
ReplyDeleteBeing low and stable isn't necessarily a good thing.
ReplyDeleteLast year Resurrection was dropping big time
ReplyDeleteMaybe, but it has shown the opposite trajectory as Resurrection; it has held steady and now it has grown. Resurrection never did that
ReplyDeletewell then Agents of SHIELDS deserves to be canceled and so is now Castle...
ReplyDeleteCBS dramas look truly sad
ReplyDeleteThe ABC promo for next week's Revenge says "the final 2 episodes OF THE SEASON". Last week it said "The final 3 episodes". So is it possible they made a deal for a 5th season ?
ReplyDeleteIf they did, they're bigger fools than I already give them credit for.
ReplyDeleteABC said "the season finale" when they aired the final episode of V.
ReplyDeleteDon't take what a promo says for granted
Because it is the season premiere. The second episode was a way lower than the season premiere. S5 has the worst downfall from Ep1 to Ep2
ReplyDeleteMe too! but I was hoping that it would pull a 1.2 after last weeks cliffhanger
ReplyDeleteMy guess is midseason. They will have to cast it from scratch and I am sure they haven't started yet. Plus they need to get 1 or 2 big-name actors for season 2 just like they did with Ryan Phillippe and True Detectives are doing with Matthew McConaghey and Vince Vaughn. So I don't see how they can pull it for this fall. I see it coming back in March 2016.
ReplyDelete3.6 is a downfall? That's still among the highest rated episodes of GoT
ReplyDeleteMaybe Castle should move to Sunday @10pm. If Secrets & Lies return in the Fall, I don't think ABC should chance airing a new drama behind it.
ReplyDeleteNo, no time yet. I probably won't be able to until tomorrow night or Wednesday night.
ReplyDeleteSure, but it could happen. If I was ABC, I would secure S&L in this timeslot and see the ratings for the S2.
ReplyDeleteWow, you are hilarious. ABC owns both Castle and AoS and their ratings are way better than Nashville's
ReplyDeleteSeason avergaes below:
AoS: 1.6
Castle: 1.60
Nashville: 1.35
I agree. I definitely thought after seeing Secrets & Lies with 1.7 demo that Revenge could get at least a 1.1
ReplyDeleteABC doesn't profit from those.
ReplyDeleteTrolololol
ReplyDeleteI'm not saying it is a bad ratings. Just when you compare this down with the down of the previous seasons, it is the worst from Ep1 to Ep2
ReplyDeleteWell, hopefully it adjusts up
ReplyDeleteFall seems like quite the possibility, but it will be tricky cause they are basically recasting the whole show and who knows if the story is prepped for Fall. I mean they sure have plans, but not clear on how fast they could go into production. They need to find a way to keep Ryan.
ReplyDeleteI think it will stay in the 1,7-1,9 region. But who knows stranger things have happened.
Nashville has pathetic ratings.
ReplyDeleteNo but it's still making money and since abc half owns it..
ReplyDeleteExactly. People defending its ratings are saying it "deserves" to be renewed are kidding themselves.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. Syndication saved its sorry ass.
ReplyDeleteMe too. So either viewers older than 49 returned or viewers younger than 18 decided to watch this episode live.
ReplyDeleteWow at Secrets and Lies!! I was hoping it would hit a season high for its finale but I never thought it would be the penultimate episode hitting a new high. And well deserved, the episode was amazing! I'm so happy about this! A renewal looks a sure thing now.
ReplyDeleteAnd I really enjoy Madam Secretary, but it has been a disaster in the demo since it returned in March. That's too bad because the episodes have been pretty good. I hope it can rise a bit for next week's season finale.
American Odyssey is a great show, but these numbers are the worst. Sadly, it's just waiting till it gets pulled.
Make the comparisons with last year, Nashville went from a 1.47 (season 2) to a 1.35 (season 3) while Castle went from a 2.0 (season 6) to a 1.6 (season 7) while Agents of Shield went from a 2.4 (season 1) to a 1.6... Nashville is in better shape when it comes to comparisons from year to year. Then I'm not stating that Nashville is a better succes but it's a modest show which kept its fanbase and is a good contender for awards (Connie & Hayden were both nominated) + it has the sales of concerts & cds
ReplyDeleteHappy. It is the fourth season for OUAT, and its ratings are still decent and still a strong slot for ABC.
ReplyDeleteAmerican Odyssey is a pretty good show and I'm still surprised it's on the air. CBS renewed MS way too early and I'm not shocked in the drop of ratings. S&L will get renewed for sure.
ReplyDeleteLike I said, low and stable is not a good thing. Even with the the drop, Other shows are ahead of it. And ABC doesn't not profit from the music sales, does it.
ReplyDeleteCastle and AoS had pretty significant drops and their still ahead of it. LOL
ReplyDeleteWhy do people care if they want rid of it it not getting short season 5 that ship sailed when dropped from 1.5 zone in January March to 1.0
ReplyDeletenope not with 1.0 percent 18-49 year old viewer rating it need late 1s or early 2s constantly for renewal.
ReplyDeleteAll abc care about is demo 1.0 not great
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it was more of the viewers older 49.
ReplyDeleterevenge is same from last week seem like it likely to end this season so.
ReplyDeleteI love the 1.5 demo 25-54 years of age, I wish that was the 18-49.
ReplyDeleteNow that's just disrespectful to the viewers.
ReplyDeleteMe too! I would've loved to see it getting that 1.5. Just wish I had a nielsen box, and maybe I would've viewed Revenge in 3 tv's live, cause I'm in the 18-49 group

It should definitely share a timeslot with another show next season. And I think Original Sin won't be a full 22 episodes. So they both could air on Sunday @9pm. Original Sin could be the show to get a big promotion boost from the Oscars award since it stars Joan Allen, academy award nominee.
ReplyDeleteI'm in that group as well and wish I had a Nielsen box. Revenge is definitely my favorite show this decade. Last decade it was Lost. ABC truly has unique programs so when one gets tired of police procedure they can watch shows like Desperate Housewives and Ugly Betty. Those are among my favorites as well in the past 15 years.
ReplyDeleteRevenge is a unique, and after its gone it will always remain as something different that came on tv. It's a shame that the audience just doesn't see that.
ReplyDeleteWell deserved for Secret & Lies. It has been an amazing. suspenseful ride.
ReplyDeleteExactly. If Kingmakers is picked up, I don't even feel it will have the same appeal that Revenge had. Kudos to the dynamic relationship between Madaleine and Emily. I think that tension is something Nashville was striving for between Connie and Hayden. And in my opinion, it didn't quite live up to expectations.
ReplyDeleteI hope at least a 1.9 for finale. So excited for the "series changing" finale
ReplyDeleteAll were amazing!
ReplyDeleteIt will probably stay at 10
ReplyDeleteI might check out Kingmakers if the trailer looks good. But even if it turns out good I won't be as invested in it as Revenge. To me it's no Revenge if theres no Madeleine or Emily in the cast. Abc can try to make Kingmakers another Revenge all it wants, but in the end it's going to work cause only Revenge could pull of these dynamic relationships and tension in these fake smiles. No matter how many shows try to come up with similar premises to Revenge, there will never be a show like Revenge on Tv. I can guarantee its going to take like a decade to find another new show like Revenge.
ReplyDeleteI think it will be fake
ReplyDeleteYou know CBS is doing poorly when Elementary was their fourth highest drama this week, rofl.
ReplyDeleteGood but not as good as last week
ReplyDeleteAt least Once 1.7 so steady. Good. Cried so much over Rumbelle. *_*
ReplyDeletestill amazing show to me. Soooooo happy S5 is sure so we might get some
closure so I can be happy even if ratings will cut S6. Please A&E
do.
Glad OUAT & S&L stayed steady in both half hours
ReplyDeleteAt least Once 1.7 so steady. Good. Cried so much over Rumbelle. *_*

Happy. I am. At least Once 1.7 so steady. Good. Cried so much over Rumbelle. *_*

Actually the promo says "The last episode before the finale". Unless you've another promo?
ReplyDeleteWhoa that was a bad night for CBS...
ReplyDeleteI'm done reading rating news on Monday. Everytime I get spoiled :(
ReplyDeleteDear CBS, see the good side: every American above 60 watch your shows.
ReplyDeleteOh its bad when Cyber is third in the week. x.x
ReplyDeleteI know there are mixed reviews about the show, but kudos to a show like Revenge for lasting 4 full seasons on broadcast. Even on cable, a show like Revenge can't last long (see the new Dallas). We often forget that Revenge is a show that many thought would be DOA, much like Lucky 7. Even Paul Lee said he didn't think Revenge can last 7 episodes.
ReplyDeleteThat 10pm Sunday timeslot is really awful. I guess Nashville takes it next season, because any new show will just bomb.
ReplyDelete
