Last Week's Final Adjusted Ratings
About the Daily Ratings
Each day (except Sunday) during the main TV Season we post the TV Ratings for the previous nights primetime shows for the major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, NBC). Cable Network ratings will be added to the Ratings Database.
The first item that gets posted (normally around 2pm GMT) is the early overnight analysis based on the early household numbers (these are not the same as the Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers that are posted later).
Next, if available, we will post the Top 25 Market 18-49 Ratings to give you a rough idea of the ratings to following.
Later on (normally between 4pm-5pm GMT) we post the official early overnight Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers in the table above (We also where possible now post the 18-34 and 25-54 Demo Numbers).
Finally, later in the evening (10pm-11pm GMT) or the following day, the final adjusted ratings numbers are released, these are then posted in the Ratings Database. The Final Adjusted numbers are what we use for all our Renew/Cancellation Tables, Full Season Tables, Ratings Scorecards etc (see below). Friday's Final Adjusted Ratings are normally available on the following Monday.

I'm awaiting confirmation on that 6.2 as it seems huge :)
ReplyDeleteBruce Jenner at 6.2. Wow.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think Bruce Jenner's interview would generate this much buzz.
ReplyDeleteouch Blue Bloods and H5O.. I guess the interview destroyed their chance this week...
ReplyDeleteOh, no - Messengers deserves so much higher ratings :(
ReplyDeleteWho the hell is Bruce Jenner and why is he getting all the ratings! The ratings for The Messengers are so disappointing, it's such an enjoyable show and has a great cast.
ReplyDeleteActually it's a 6.8 not a 6.2 :) We'll update the table.
ReplyDeleteThanks
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
ReplyDeleteThe new Empire?
ReplyDeletePls tell me abc heavily promoted their shows during bruce jenner's interview
ReplyDeleteIt was majorly preempted and with Age of Ultron pprmiiering next week. It's doubtful the ratings will raise till ep 4 if they raise.
ReplyDeleteTalk about bad timing.
ReplyDeleteTop 25 on a Friday? That's new
ReplyDeleteDWTS, Greys, Comedies, OUAT, S&L and Revenge
ReplyDeleteEven bigger since it landed those ratings on Friday
ReplyDeleteYAY! Thx for telling me!
ReplyDeletehttp://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_Jenner
ReplyDeleteA two time gold metals in the 1975/1976 Olympics,
He was also married to Kris Kardashian Jenner, the father to Brandon, Brody, Kendall and Kylie Jenner as well as the stepfather to Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, and Rob Kardashian.
Double WoW !!!
ReplyDelete( these numbers are right up there with The Walking Dead finale )
Doesn't sound like someone I'd expect to get such high ratings for an interview :P
ReplyDeleteVery suprised at that 6.8, especailly with all the hate I see BJ getting on the internet.
ReplyDeleteNice surprise with the top25 today!
ReplyDeleteIs that a typo for ABC??? My god!!!
Holy crap at that Bruce Jenner interview!
ReplyDeleteA world famous male athlete wanting to become a woman is kind of big news.
ReplyDeleteIt's like if Beyonce or Madonna announced they wanted to become a man.
It is not, I was shocked as well. I heard they promoted the whole sunday line-up
ReplyDeleteNo Shield? Bad ABC.
ReplyDeleteWow at Bruce Jenner interview. Its like the SNL Anniversary thing, I though it was gonna get around mid 2's but 6.0?!?! Wow!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like ABC won the season and May Sweeps just because of the interview, Greys buzz, Scandal and their strong comedies and steady DWTS.
Well we shouldn't really be that surprised that the interview got a 6.0+, considering he's very famous because of Kardashians and Olympics.
ReplyDeleteThis helps a lot but I don't think there was any decent chance of ABC not winning May Sweeps. CBS gave up on them before they even started and they were the only ones who had a shot at stealing it from ABC. NBC and FOX had no shot.
ReplyDeleteI believe this is the second time we get them!
ReplyDeleteHoping this will bring some viewers to the Sunday lineup; love all those shows!
ReplyDeleteHate? I haven't seen any. (Except for Kris Humphries' tweet, which you can't really consider direct hate.)
ReplyDeleteAnd it is great. BTW did you See the revenge spoiler? It is quite big so if not then do not do it.
ReplyDeleteNo. I saw there was a post but I don't want to see. Please don't tell me.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree. Also S&L is awesome
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to since I want to be surprised, so just in case, please don't say anything :S
ReplyDeleteSame here.
ReplyDeleteYeah same here
ReplyDeleteOf course I will not tell you. I had seen the spoiler earlier on though so...However, it is interesting. That is all I will say
ReplyDeleteI will not ;) i know how it feels
ReplyDeleteDid they promote any new shows?
ReplyDeleteOh, I guess It's just not a big deal to me then
ReplyDeleteI am not sure even ABC was expecting it to be this big to be fair.
ReplyDeleteI wish i had not seen it by an accident earlier on. Nonetheless, it confuses me even more
ReplyDeleteWhat the actual f!?!? That's amazing!!! Now I wanna know how many tweets did it get; could it beat the Super Bowl? I mean, a lot of people were talking about it...
ReplyDeleteTo me it isn't either. But clearly we are a minority.
ReplyDeleteSundays for me are a very big day, it's interesting that ABC has always swayed me to their lineup since last year: first OUAT-Resurrection-Revenge, and now S&L filled in for Resurrection.
ReplyDeleteThey don't even it promote it during DWTS sometimes
ReplyDeleteYes- 500 questions/billboard/astronauts wife club
ReplyDeleteYeah to me as well. And I thought 666 Park Avenue had A LOT of potential, I loved the pilot. I gave up on it since the ratings were so bad right away but it was a shame. That lineup of OUAT - Revenge - 666 was perfect and I loved the promotion it got back then. I also liked Resurrection quite a bit, especially Season 2 (much, much more than Season 1), but I like Secrets and Lies much better. Secrets and Lies is amazing, I truly love it. OUAT and Revenge have been some of my favorite shows on the air since they started, so that goes without saying ;)
ReplyDeleteWhispers?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info by the way ;)
Sunday is definitely my favorite day on TV. Revenge is my favorite and OUAT and S&L are tied for second
ReplyDeleteThey were projecting around 12-15 million
ReplyDeleteA teaser like 5 seconds
ReplyDeleteI kind of understand that though. The overlap of people that watch DWTS (W35-49) and that would be interested in Shield (M18-34) is probably virtually non existent.
ReplyDeleteWow I didn't know you liked Secrets and Lies that much, I thought you liked Murder and The 100 more.
ReplyDeleteHow do you see that?
ReplyDeleteThanks
ReplyDeleteABC had 2 big things trending this week
ReplyDeleteGreys was also huge as well as this
Oh that is the hierachy of my sunday shows
ReplyDeleteAh I thought you meant in general.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it was exactly ABC
ReplyDeleteVariety had an article
One thing ABC knows how to do better than the other networks: promote stuff. If ABC really wants something to succeed and get huge ratings, they promote the hell out of it during every commercial break and that's just what they did for Greys Anatomy and Bruce Jenner interview this week. They did it with Scandal a few years ago when it started gaining buzz and they also did for OUAT's Frozen premiere.
ReplyDeleteAh ok thanks
ReplyDeleteSunday is my favourite night all year round. Except during OUAT's mid-season break, Sundays got so boring for me! But other than OUAT I have lots of Sunday Cable shows, The Last Ship, The Strain, Penny Dreadful, The Leftovers and a few others.
ReplyDeletelol
ReplyDeleteI don't think many of us are 'interest' .. but... when there is a fire or a car crash you stop to check out the wreckage.
I definitely like HTGAWM and thr 100 more :P
ReplyDelete1 . Revenge
2. HTGAWM/ The 100
3. OUAT/ Secrets&Lies
4. Scandal/ Empire
5. The flash
6. Arrow
7. The good wife
No no :D
ReplyDeleteI agree, they do it pretty well. But I think there are cases on other networks as well. What CBS did this summer for Scorpion was an all out promotion too. And NBC spent 1.5 years going insane with the blacklist
ReplyDeleteI wish The Leftovers would come back already, I really miss it!
ReplyDeleteThey also did it in Revenges first season
ReplyDeleteGame of Thrones? I am not able to to a ranking like that, especially as I watch so many shows. I can probably tell you what my top10 is, in no particular order, but that's about it.
ReplyDeleteYea but they hardly promote it- never on wed/thur
ReplyDeleteOnly during on Sunday
They did it even more when it moved to Sunday I think. They were very aggressive in the promotion of the OUAT/Revenge/666 lineup back then. Too bad it disappointed
ReplyDeleteI keep cable shows out of the list. GOT would be in the top 4 though. I Would be hugely interested in your top 10
ReplyDeleteThat really is unfortunate. I think they should premiere it on Friday, Sunday and probably during Castle. On Wednesday as well but I kind of understand why they don't it since it is still a week away
ReplyDeleteSeason 1 was a nice surprise, I'm interested to see the changes they've made. There are lots of other Summer shows I'm looking forward to more than The Leftovers though, my Summer gets more and more crowded every year!
ReplyDeleteAgreed it started out well, then fizzled out quickly
ReplyDeleteWell revenge and OUAT premiered huge in their second season
ReplyDeleteNBC also did it for SNL 40th anniversary, I though it would get a 3.0 at best but it got a freaking 7.8 or something like that! I remember NBC also did it for Grimm back in Fall 2011 and it was their highest rated drama of that fall season. They also did it for Revolution and Smash and I remember CW did it for The Flash.
ReplyDeleteCW should pull Cedric's Barber Battle immediately...
ReplyDeleteNot quickly -not Til middle of jan
ReplyDeleteThat OUAT\Revenge\666 ABC Sunday promo was the best promo I've ever seen in history of promos!
ReplyDeleteMy top 10, in no order, includes these shows:
ReplyDeleteArrow
How to Get Away with Murder
Marvel's Agents of Shield
Once Upon a Time
Revenge
Scandal
The 100
The Flash
The Walking Dead
Not sure about the 10th. Someone from this group probably: Game of Thrones, Grey's Anatomy, Homeland, Orphan Black, Person of Interest, Suits, The Following
Too bad 666 didn't work out, I really enjoyed that show.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it will air this summer though, I think it will be on the fall
ReplyDeleteThat was a really good promo. ABC hasn't cared about promoting their Sundays since.
ReplyDeleteOUAT and Revenge did great in Fall 2012, but 666 couldn't keep up. They started to fizzle out in January because ABC wanted to be stupid and mess up their scheduling by putting OUAT and Revenge up against Golden Globes, then NFC Championship, then going on break and then coming back against the Grammy's.
ReplyDeleteDid NBC really do it for Grimm? I thought that was an underdog story thing, I don't think it got that much promotion. They were more busy promoting Prime Suspect and The Playboy Club.
ReplyDeleteLove your list! You watch every show that i do :)
ReplyDeleteYeah but 666 premiered very badly out of the gate.
ReplyDeleteSuits! I binge-watched all 4 seasons a couple of weeks ago and loved it, apart from those few episodes where pretty much everyone was against each other and Mike went off to be an investment banker.
ReplyDeleteI LOOOOVE Suits! It is such a gemn. It gets very little attention since people dismiss it for being a lawyers show and from being on USA but it is amazing, the characters and their relationships are outstanding! Glad you binge watched it! I quite liked the arc of Mike on the IB to be honest, but always meant as a temporary thing.
ReplyDeleteThis really makes me wonder, how Abc had not been stupid then, Revenge wouldn't be at the situation that its currently at right now. Its ratings would've still been lower due to the writing but not to the point where its literally on the verge of cancellation.
ReplyDeleteThat is why you gotta believe me when I tell you that Shield is worth it ;)
ReplyDeleteI agree. Whose Line repeats would do better.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Grimm was mostly an underdog story. But the biggest underdog that I've ever seen so far since I've been lookin up TV ratings is Hart Of Dixie.
ReplyDeleteThe relationships they all have is a big reason I love it so much, same with Scorpion. That's probably why I didn't like the IB storyline, they were all on the outs with each other. The acting in it is great and it has just the right amount of comedy as well, it was such a nice surprise I was kicking myself for finding it sooner lol.
ReplyDeleteYeah when i have time i will continue the catching up!
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling if ABC didn't put OUAT and Revenge up against those award shows, OUAT would probably be doing 2.5-3.0 and Revenge would probably be doing around 1.6-2.0.
ReplyDeleteBeen a long time since Friday ratings had this many comments!
ReplyDeleteVery good ;)
ReplyDeleteGlad you did find it ;) Harvey is probably one of my favorite characters on TV and I agree that the acting is excellent. Mike-Harvey is also one of my favorite bromances around! I could use less Louis but I've gotten used to him.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely, The scheduling definitely has hurt these shows, except OUAT kind of recovered, and Revenge just kept falling further down.
ReplyDeleteI watched it live, they promoted OUAT, Revenge, S&L, Shark Tank and Astronout Wives Club.
ReplyDeleteABC did the hard lifting work for E!'s "new documentary series following Bruce Jenner's life as a transgender woman"
ReplyDelete6.8 rating on a Friday.
ReplyDeleteWow.
I was just getting used to Louis then he had to go and threaten to out Mike's secret, glad he made up with everyone pretty quickly though. Mike & Harvey is my new favourite bromance as well, I'm always such a sucker for bromances anyway!
ReplyDeleteGrimm had to premiere against the final game of the World Series, definitely an underdog, since it got a 2.1 or of nothing.
ReplyDeleteAlso. The may sweeps started two days ago and ABC has already won it.
ReplyDeleteHow could they not when the only network with a chance to take them down gave up? I still think they would have won even against a full fledged CBS but they made it all too easy for them.
ReplyDeleteSo many people tuned in to see Kim kardasian's stepdad?WOW!!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that they promoted Revenge at least, cause it deserves to go out on a high not a low.
ReplyDeleteMany people including myself were curious about his transition.
ReplyDeleteWhy exactly?Isn't this kinda old news by now?
ReplyDeletePeople wanted to hear his side of the story, rather than the media's
ReplyDeleteDid people seriously have nothing better to do on a Friday night than watching Bruce Jenner's interview?
ReplyDeleteBJ, ahem ahem.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think it's a first.
ReplyDeleteThe Messengers 0.4
ReplyDeleteABC 1.7/5.0/5.3
ReplyDeleteHe caused a car accident which killed a woman.
ReplyDeleteCW 0.4/0.4/0.4
ReplyDeleteCBC 1.1/1.1/1.0
ReplyDeleteI am assuming CW was pre-empted?
ReplyDeleteYep. Baseball.
ReplyDeleteI think it was during the Glee days.
ReplyDeleteCBS isn't even competing with so many of their shows having early finales.
ReplyDeleteDo you know how often the promoted revenge?
ReplyDeleteOut of this world: 20/20
ReplyDeleteWinners: Nothing
Honorable Mention: Shark Tank
Losers: Blue Bloods, Dateline
CW is excluded since I am assuming preemptions.
Lol
ReplyDeleteSecond
ReplyDeleteI am also wondering the same. Why are people so interested in this?
ReplyDeleteI believe Bruce Jenner's Interview is billed as a special and not an episode of 20/20, but I could be wrong.
ReplyDeleteThere are CW preemptions? I hope it doesn't affect The Messengers, since I'm pretty glad it rose!
ReplyDeleteSame I've my fingers crossed for it to hold!
ReplyDeleteOh okay. I will edit it.
ReplyDeleteMay I ask why Shark Tank isn't a winner? 1.7 is higher than the last couple of weeks and it continues to be great for Fridays
ReplyDeleteDid 16 million people REALLY haver nothing better to do on a Friday night?
ReplyDeleteGrimm 1.0
ReplyDeleteDateline 0.8/0.9
There were Baseball preemption. Can you imagine Barbers's Battle with a 0.4?
ReplyDeleteIt probably could be, I was dubious. It's just that for a show that has a seasonal average of 1.85, 1.7 is still rather below that. But since it is spring, it is airing in a lower viewed timselot and in an out of slot thing, you are probably right. I will edit it.
ReplyDeleteI can't, it would be doubling its premiere ratings.
ReplyDeleteI'm just holding hope for The Messengers, I really liked episode 2 :P
It is weird that it has the same as Whose Line though because if the adjustments are the same it will mean that Whose Line fell rather considerably.
ReplyDeleteBruce Jenner 5.2 (2 hours)
ReplyDeleteAnd even if they are going to stay in home to watch TV, they could watch something else. *cough, cough* The Messengers *cough, cough*
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone have the half hours?
ReplyDeleteThe fact that he's transitioning is old news but it's how he's living his life as a woman that people are curious about
ReplyDeleteShow buzz daily doesn't post them on Fridays for some reason. And Berman has yet to wake up.
ReplyDeleteLmfaooooooo
ReplyDeleteSomeone PLEASE tell me - Is there ANY chance TM will keep the 0.4 ?
ReplyDeleteThere is always a chance yeah but it is very unlikely I think give the preemptions.
ReplyDeleteAaaaaaaa The Messengers! It rose. Waiting for Monday and the finals will be a torture.
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding me? What an insightful comment. Last night, 16 million Americans got the basic learning of what trans is and watched an Olympic gold medalist deal with this and come to terms with it. They also got the understanding of what it means to be trans in this day and age and the problems that they have to face each and everyday. If you would have taken the decency to watch, you would have found it powerful to see a celebrity finally living in his own truth. As a member of the lgbt community and living in the US, this is huge for America.
ReplyDelete:(
ReplyDeleteMaybe they aired it at 10PM or 11PM so the final number could still be 0.4
Yes, because American didn't know anything about transgender people before this interview. Give me a break.
ReplyDeleteI am skeptical but would certainly hope so.
ReplyDeleteAlso, did he talk about the accident he caused which killed a woman, and he got out scott-free without any jail time?
ReplyDeleteYeah, I don't see it keeping that 0.4, either.
ReplyDeleteNo. Preempted in NY
ReplyDeleteWell they said it was still under investigation when they shot the interview so he couldn't say anything about it. That's a whole different story though.
ReplyDeleteWhat exactly makes Blue Bloods a loser? It had the highest viewership of the night that wasn't a special.
ReplyDeleteThat's a disgustingly huge number for the Bruce Jenner special.
ReplyDeleteActually, most Americans don't. Before last night, Americans never really understood the whole transitioning from a man into a woman or a woman transitioning into a man. And hearing from someone as big as Bruce Jenner is (famous as hell in the 70's), it's a big deal.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I'm glad to see those numbers. If it helps even one viewer going through similar struggles or increases tolerance among families or friends or just your average person without awareness on the topic, that's a great thing. The support his family is showing is really amazing. I'm no Kardashian fan, but they have been pretty impressive here.
ReplyDeleteBruce Jenner is famous because of his p*rnstar daughters.
ReplyDeleteThe Kardashians? Those are his stepdaughters but whatever. And that's not true. Mostly every American knew who Bruce Jenner was before he got sucked into that family.
ReplyDeleteWhat I'm saying is that it wouldn't have been as big if he wasn't still in the spotlight and simply an Olympic medalist. Although that's still a big accomplishment.
ReplyDeleteI think it would have been big either way since we practically destroy our Olympians personal lives to death but I see what you're saying.
ReplyDeleteFYI: It was a 0.365, so it should adjust down quite easily.
ReplyDeleteIt was a 0.365, so it should adjust down quite easily.
ReplyDeleteIt was a 0.365, so it should adjust down quite easily, sadly
ReplyDeleteViewership is 100% meaningless, I go by 18-49 ratings.
ReplyDeleteI read that it was filmed before accident. I guess these numbers put the whole McDreamey frenzy into perspective....
ReplyDeleteWhat about other CW shows?
ReplyDeleteDamn, I think I might hold off until it's finished before watching, I've enough to watch right now anyway.
ReplyDeleteAre these numbers enough for renewal of Amazing Race? I don't wan't my favorite reality show to end :(
ReplyDeleteThe Messengers rose!
ReplyDeleteWhat is a good rating to renew a Friday show? 0.5?
I usually do that rule but I liked the pilot so much that I will continue here.
ReplyDeleteThe CW was preempted. TM is very likely to adjust down, sadly.
ReplyDeleteDont know, I would say definitely a 0.5 consistently would get it a renewal for next summer. 0.4's might be enough, I guess it depends on cost and how much original scripted programming they want to air in the summer.
ReplyDeleteI highly doubt it ends but a reduction to one cycle (winter or summer) feels likely.
ReplyDeleteCedric 0.408
ReplyDeleteWhose Line 0.431
Messengers 0.365
All credit goes to RJK from Spotted Ratings
Being a Friday show, what number would it need to stay safe?
ReplyDeleteReal life is more important than your weakly does of soap opera of sci fi fantasy. If anything the people who watched the other shows should be accused of having nothing better to do.
ReplyDeleteYOU BE SURPRISE HOW MANY STUPID PEOPLE ARE OUT THERE LOL. AND THIS JUST PROVE SIT LOL
ReplyDeleteStill being investigated?
ReplyDeleteMaybe it succeeds to stay above 0.35 and gives us some more hope. I just want for the CW to not cancel it at the upfronts and give people a chamce to hear about it.
ReplyDeleteI think it turned up on my twitter feed a few weeks ago that he won't be getting jail time. Haven't really heard much after that.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how to answer that. If Hart of Dixie, a show with a very nice episode count under its belt, didn't make it with its 0.4, I think a freshman would at least have to average consistent 0.5s to be considered. This is however just my educated guess, I am not totally sure since the CW's behavior is hard to understand at times
ReplyDeleteI'll take that. Just don't want to see it canceled.
ReplyDeleteThey are already casting for the next cycle so safe to say it will be renewed.
ReplyDeleteThat's sad :(... I only hope it doesn't hit 0.2
ReplyDeleteI hope there are no more blind date couple.
ReplyDeleteIt is: http://www.theamazingracecasting.com
ReplyDeleteUgh. I can't imagine quitting my job to join something like this.
ReplyDeleteYeah me too, even if the end result is the same at the end, which is 13 and done. But well.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the news!
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome. More info here if you want to read it: http://www.theamazingracecasting.com/
ReplyDeleteI would never call viewers stupid. There's always a reason behind watching a show/film/documentary.
ReplyDeleteMany people struggle to find their true identity, to accept who they really are and whether or not to get surgery to change their gender. Maybe they were looking for answers in this documentary and maybe now, after watching Bruce Jenner on TV yesterday, they've found the answers they were looking for.
