Last Week's Final Adjusted Ratings
About the Daily Ratings
Each day (except Sunday) during the main TV Season we post the TV Ratings for the previous nights primetime shows for the major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, NBC). Cable Network ratings will be added to the Ratings Database.
The first item that gets posted (normally around 2pm GMT) is the early overnight analysis based on the early household numbers (these are not the same as the Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers that are posted later).
Next, if available, we will post the Top 25 Market 18-49 Ratings to give you a rough idea of the ratings to following.
Later on (normally between 4pm-5pm GMT) we post the official early overnight Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers in the table above (We also where possible now post the 18-34 and 25-54 Demo Numbers).
Finally, later in the evening (10pm-11pm GMT) or the following day, the final adjusted ratings numbers are released, these are then posted in the Ratings Database. The Final Adjusted numbers are what we use for all our Renew/Cancellation Tables, Full Season Tables, Ratings Scorecards etc (see below). Friday's Final Adjusted Ratings are normally available on the following Monday.

Oh, so The Messengers flop very very hard :(
ReplyDeleteI will enjoy at least 13 episodes we get
Major ouch at The Messengers. That's what happens when you stick a show on Friday with a show called "Cedric's Barber Battle" anchoring the night. Guess CW had no faith in this show after all.
ReplyDeleteSo that's it for The Messengers... oh well, it was expected. I hoped all its promotion would help, but it still underperformed
ReplyDeleteDamn it The Messengers!!! Ughh. I really hoped it was going to do well... :((
ReplyDeleteOhhh my heart broke.
ReplyDeleteAnd that's as terrible as expected for The Messengers.
ReplyDeleteMine too, dang!
ReplyDeleteWLIIAW did worse than I thought it would do
ReplyDeleteMine three.
ReplyDeleteThat lead-in, tho.
ReplyDeleteMine four :( I really thought the promotion would help
ReplyDelete200% retention, to be fair to it.
ReplyDeleteYep, pretty pathetic.
ReplyDeleteBut it stills surprises me, WLIIAW repeats did better than the original
Yikes
ReplyDeleteYou can add one more
ReplyDeleteSame! I mean Friday + odd lead-ins, but I actually thought it had a shot at slightly higher!
ReplyDeleteAll in all, a really poor night. Even Shark Tank has been underperforming for the last two weeks.
ReplyDeleteOuch CW. Shark Tank disappoimted too.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sad for Cristela right now. She wrote an awesome "potential goodbye" letter though.
Holy crap that's terrible for TM. Don't know if I'll bother to keep watching now. Really wasn't expecting it to be that low, I expected 0.4 would be the worst it would get for the premiere.
ReplyDeletePoor TM, so sad... I was hoping for some miracle since everyone predicted DOA. Miracle didn't happen. CW didn't give it a slightest chance. So unfair.
ReplyDeleteBOOOM!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I didn't expect it to do go but somehow I still rooting for it to get either renewed for fall on Fridays or move to summer.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'll join in too
ReplyDeleteI was expecting a 0.4 (which would have been disappointing) but just wow at this!
ReplyDeleteTime to flip Whose Line and Cedric's.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, whose line should be a summer show, it did fine on its summer run, now it's ruined.
I hoped it did as well. But it was just not enough.
ReplyDeleteSeems like thw Whose the line underachieved as well.
I think TM will ajustes up.
ReplyDeleteReign to fridays next fall ? Good or bar?
Seriously, why did CW even decide to air a show called "Cedric's Barber Battle". The person who ordered it needs to be fired.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't expecting much because most of the CW shows are struggling right now. I still hope the show gets a fair chance.
ReplyDeleteI honestly thought it would do a lot better than this, it seemed to have a lot of buzz and it got a fair amount of promotion.
ReplyDeleteDid The Messengers at least beat Cult in total viewers?
ReplyDeleteI predicted 0.6. Dang!
ReplyDeleteYup, that's pretty much what I expected from The Messengers but it still really hurts :( Still sticking with it till the end though.
ReplyDeletehttp://stvplus.com/show/246/Cult
ReplyDeleteCue NBC PR - "Grimm #1 Friday Drama!" Ugh. The 8 p.m. hour is so inappropriate...Good thing renewed.
ReplyDeleteSame, I'm probably gonna be in shock until finals.
ReplyDeleteDamn at The Messengers! It was a good pilot! URGH
ReplyDeleteit did, Cult premiered to 0.86
ReplyDeleteHaha, 0.6 would have been the dream, right? 0.3, ahhh. Can we totally make it positive and talk about how it rose from its lead-in? Lmao!
ReplyDeleteA shame for the messangers :(
ReplyDeleteOuch ABC for those being the finales
Will that Cedric show get pulled? I think a repeat of Whose line would've than better than that sh*t.
ReplyDeleteWhy they even picked it up is beyond me.
ReplyDeleteI just noticed it did even worse in 18-34, only 0.1 :(
ReplyDeleteMost of the Cw shows are struggling, they should give TM a fair chance. Being a midseason show, less than stellar promotions and premiering in the spring also did nothing to help its ratings.
ReplyDeleteNOOOOOOOO !!
ReplyDeleteThe messengers had such a great pilot !! That total viewers figure is kinda too high for 0.3 so hopefully it adjusts up !
Probably. I'm expecting it to get pulled for WLIIA repeats for sweeps.
ReplyDeleteI actually voted in a poll on another site that it would do .3
ReplyDeleteIt was a new show airing in a late slot on the CW friday, I was thinking .3-.4 at best. Sadly next week it should drop with the Avengers premiering.
Terrible night!
ReplyDeleteDamn, poor The Messengers :(
ReplyDeleteI expected Cedric's Barber Battle to get low-ish results, but I hoped Whose Line Is It Anyway? could do better to help The Messengers.
Why on earth didn't CW give a real chance to The Messengers? people may say America's Next Top Model is able to get good results there (9pm slot), but that's a different kind of show.
The results it had on that demo is worth crying
ReplyDeleteI was thinking it would premiere like this, but I was really hoping I'd be wrong and the show would surprise me. the promotion has been decent.
ReplyDeleteI didn't watch because I suspected it would not do well ratings wise and I don't want to fall in love with a show that is just going to be cancelled. I'm not a Nielsen family so it's not a loss for the network.
ReplyDeleteIt didn't, though.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't Avengers premiere late in the U.S? Like May 1st I think.
ReplyDeleteWow. I didn't even see that.
ReplyDeleteif they don't pull it, it's gonna be a loooong summer. :(
It actually dropped a tenth.
ReplyDeleteIt only rose in total viewers, which mean the show skews older... in a network in which young skewing is key
Yes, it'll be the night of the third episode. Though not sure how much it would actually affect The Messengers.
ReplyDeleteThey won't pull it, I think. It's pretty much a summer show with the finale airing July 31st.
ReplyDeleteWhich is next Friday.
ReplyDeleteNo it's Friday 2 weeks from now
ReplyDeleteI really can't! This is such a terrible way to start this show. Really undeserved.
ReplyDeleteI really dislike CW for this. I know they have to try and start shows on Fridays but at least the premiere could've get a Flash or Arrow original lead in.
Really not cool. But I won't give up hope, miracles can happen.
I just hope The Messengers don't pull a Cult and starts doing 0.1s on a weekly basis, though it looks like it is heading that way
ReplyDeleteNo, it isn;t.
ReplyDeleteYeah I was meaning viewers, haha. Can't find any positives here :(
ReplyDeleteNot that it matters anyway with those ratings, it's fate is pretty much sealed unless The CW shocks us all
ReplyDeleteTo think of all the kind tweets coming from The Messengers' stars Shantel VanSanten and Diogo Morgado. It's a real shame :(
ReplyDeleteI get that fridays are tough and Whose Line Is It Anyway? returned down, but why did americans choose to ignore The Messengers? it's not like there were other genre shows they couldn't miss.
Good
ReplyDeleteYep, it's a goner already.
ReplyDeleteWhen you begin a night with "Cedric's Barber Battle", no one wants to sit through the rest of the night.
ReplyDeleteI agree; maybe not Flash since the show is still helping build iZombie, but it wasn't that hard to program it after Arrow, it's not like SPN is going to hurt since it already has a established audience.
ReplyDeleteDumping the show to Fridays was one thing, but they didn't even give it a chance to fly... I mean, they did tons of promotion, but still there were plenty more stuff they could do to make it work.
So...on the plus side, looks like iZombie's chances just improved.
ReplyDeleteHow many episodes of The Messengers were ordered? I think they may pull it soon before they think it could get a 0.0. That would be disasterous, but plausible if in the summer.
ReplyDeleteBased on the premise I think they should have paired it with Supernatural, but that would require it to move to Friday, leaving Whose Line unscheduled.
The show was a sure thing even if The Messengers did well
ReplyDelete13 episodes
ReplyDelete13, which is the norm
ReplyDeleteYeah, super happy for iZombie (great, adorable show) but bummed for TM!
ReplyDeleteYep but for this timeslot to work U need already a solid audience.
ReplyDeleteThe promotion(poster and promo wise) was really good, but the media wasn't behind it. Barely any interview or feature article
Not really. It is getting renewed, regardless.
ReplyDeleteThat's true but that was always a given since it has The Flash as a lead in while The Messengers has... Cedric's Barber Battle and Who's Line is it Anyway?
ReplyDeleteYep.
ReplyDeleteI need to ask to The CW:
ReplyDelete1. Was it too hard to premiere The Messengers once HoD ended? Or even before, replacing the repeats for the show?
2. Was it too hard to sample it after Arrow? SPN could've wait a week since it already has an audience.
3. Was it too hard to leave this show on some other weekday during the summer? It could've aired in any day of the week and premiere on May!
I really don't know why they didn't try; they lost confindence in the show, yes, but yet they promoted it so much... I don't understand them in this regard.
Looks like CBS really only backed one horse JTV and left Messengers for the wolves. they promoted the hack out of JANE. I honestly think the show should've run CBS summer after UTD.
ReplyDeleteAmericans in love currently with their comics/superheros. (ugh). New fashion. How many we had this last couple years? And before it was zombies and vampires. Scifi is not a popular trend nowadays. T100 underperforms, Revolution and Almost human canceled. What else is theire?
ReplyDeleteDid they promote it well? Not from the US so this is a legit question, btw :)
ReplyDeleteOuch. Seriously, is there any way they keep airing it for 13 Even for Friday on The CW there is no way to spin numbers lower than this.
ReplyDeleteAlthough even if it hits a 0.0 thy could say its only dropped three tenths from its premiere. Lol
No one is talking about the cristela series finale
ReplyDeleteI saw tons of promos, interviews, promotional photos, and more. The CW pushed this one around, they kept promoting it as months passed
ReplyDeleteI am haha. So sad that it's gone now:(.
ReplyDeleteGood numbers for Friday are 0.4 / 0.3? Or higher than that?
ReplyDeleteThey might as well think of renewing HoD instead, seeing it can get a 0.5 on a Friday.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping more people would tune in next episode, so that it could have at least a chance to complete its 13 ep run
The Messengers is the main topic today; many people here watched and liked the pilot and are heartbroken for the numbers
ReplyDeleteI cannot judge because i never watched it
ReplyDeleteI am. It was a fun little show, but unfortunately, I don't think it's coming back. :(
ReplyDeleteI saw the poll and was surprised how much people loved it
ReplyDeleteCould CW double pump TM and bring back Whose Line after? Whose Line performs just as well in Summer anyway.
ReplyDeleteProbably now it's too late to trade The Messengers' place with Reign's.
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't know why The CW isn't renewing the show; it does well for Fridays and it is worth a summer run at least.
ReplyDeleteIt even increased its rating year to year for god's sake!
The Messengers isn't exactly sci-fi. More like supernatural (the genre, not the show).
ReplyDeleteBefore people say it is "many people" i mean: how much people liked it
ReplyDeleteTo The Messenger's credit, it did the same as Reign on a Friday and a worse lead in
ReplyDeleteiZ with last 0.8 is lock for renewal. It doesn't compete with anything anymore except for the slot in fall schedule.
ReplyDeleteAnd this just highlights how pathetically Reign is doing.
ReplyDeleteI was just about to check Reign's numbers myself, was wondering if it did the same / better
ReplyDeleteDamn it, Cristela! I was hoping for a 1.0+ :( Too bad. Cristela seems such a nice person, wish her all the best.
ReplyDeleteIt even did worse on total viewers
ReplyDeleteBye, Cristela. I only ever watched the premiere, but nice knowing ya.

They won't renew HoD.Rachel dosent live in LA anymore to keep her babyaway from paps and it has a proper ending with enough episode for short syndication & the sets are down according to male lead.CW was always going to cancel at least two shows-HoD & Messengers. The schedule is too full now with IZombie certain renewal plus all the rest already renewed and CW isn't thinking Summer 2016 yet( they have to get through summer 2025& 2015-2016 season first and fans would've complained waiting a year or more to see shows
ReplyDelete-What about 18-34?
ReplyDeleteWith HoD it seems like a combination of cast and storytelling.
ReplyDeleteFIrst it pulled a couple of 0,2s in S03 and got renewed just in the last moment, than probably no one expected for it to hit 0,5 next year and they wrapped up the show.
So sadly don't see it coming back.
The Messengers grew in each half hour? Did not see that coming.
ReplyDeleteNot that it matters though
Adjusted down from 0,4 to 0,3 in the finals.
ReplyDeleteWhatever, still not superhero comics. Supernatural genre is not is favor either. More flying and wall climbing dudes, that's what people want.
ReplyDeleteI was expecting it to drop, too
ReplyDeleteShh..that kind of talk. That growth could be the .01 of a point that gets it a .4
ReplyDelete0.3 I think, it did much better than The Messengers in that particular demo. Could've been 0.2 though, not very sure
ReplyDeleteHow the hell it went from 1,11 and 0,4 to 1,18 and 0,3.
ReplyDeleteHolly molly. This show is such a crazy mess. Loving it's rebel attitude,
that's 18-49
ReplyDeleteat least something positive
ReplyDeleteOhhh my mistake didn't saw right.
ReplyDeleteIt still did a 0.3 on the second half hour, so I doubt it
ReplyDeletenow we have to wait til monday to find out...ugh
ReplyDelete0.3.
ReplyDeleteAs expected,The Messengers is DOA.How was the pilot guys?Should i even bother now?
ReplyDeleteIdk. Jamie King's interview blurb over at E! Makes it seem like it's matter of Rachel wanting to come back after having a kid or not.
ReplyDeleteDeadline stated HOD has a tiny bit of a chance, so it could come down to cost and availability.
The show called "Supernatural" does pretty well though
ReplyDeletePeople seemed to enjoy it looking at the poll results
ReplyDeletehttp://www.spoilertv.com/2015/04/poll-what-did-you-think-of-messengers.html
I'm very sorry for Messengers despite not watch the series, it might as well go for the summer. I just hope that next fall season Reign check out Friday with a good series (JTV or The The Originals) and The CW promote other two that are😃
ReplyDeleteThe pilot showed promise, but now that promise is buried with its ratings. Unless a miracle occur and it starts growing, the show is most likely going to wrap this season and by the pilot alone, while pretty good, I can't tell how it'll turn out
ReplyDeleteI really don't get the decision. Letting it premiere on a weekday without lead in is more reasonable than this. But now it's to late to boil our brains about it. Just seems like they really didn't believe in it and it feels disrespectful from the network towards the cast. But okay we have to live with this.
ReplyDeleteWe'll have to wait and see, maybe it can slowly rise to "appropriate" ratings.
The poll shows people like it. I had a mixed reaction to it. But you should still bother, it's pretty entertaining.
ReplyDeleteScott said sets have been taken down,HoDs over.Racjphel dosent evn live in LA where it filmed anymore
ReplyDeleteGrimm will hit below 1.0 soon,NBC destroyed the show & it doesn't help with all this hexenbeist & baby melodrama!
ReplyDeleteI would never get tired of Sci-fi/Supernatural shows. Too bad, it seems not many americans feel the same way.
ReplyDeleteWhich is why I stated what I said. Cost and Availability.
ReplyDeleteMeaning if Rachel isn't willing to be available there is not a chance it is coming back.
SpoilerTV's Readers rated it a 4.15 out of 5. http://www.spoilertv.com/2014/09/the-spoilertv-readers-pilot-ratings.html
ReplyDeletePersonally I thought it was a bit slow but it had a lot of good stuff to build on. It had much more positive stuff than bad and knowing Ur taste(a bit) I think U would've enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteYes, even though I like Reign, I recognize it's getting terrible ratings.
ReplyDeleteI think TM is the kind of show that will get better with every episode. A lot of people didn't enjoy The 100's pilot either. Then The CW handicapped it by dumping it to Friday's after their screening in January. Before it even had a chance. Critics can be brutal.
ReplyDeleteI didn't enjoy the pilot but I'm going to watch it again and more episodes. I'm giving it another chance.
The CW Friday night lineup is DOA as expected.
ReplyDeleteAdios, Cristela!
All in all, a bad night for everybody except for 20/20.
Well, The Messengers boosted the Friday rating disccussion.
ReplyDeleteIf only we could talk about how well it did :S.
Such a shame,i was so much looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteGrimm😞😞 I hope the series ends with dignity in season 5.
ReplyDeleteI have nothing against Reign, but its ratings are horrendous. It needs to move to summer, The CW can justify having it in their fall schedule anymore, not with everything performing better
ReplyDeleteLove Ur optimism. I certainly hope this "bad rating" buzz will make people check it out. We'll have to wait and see.
ReplyDeleteCritics can be major a--holes. They can tear shows apart in a matter of seconds.
If the sts are already torn down, it's not coming back.Deadline also said "odds are we've seen the last of HoD"
ReplyDeleteBad ratings are usually a sign that the show is dead and people usually don't want to get in a show that is dying.
ReplyDeleteBuzz, however, can have a possitive effect, but for a show that starts this low is hard to gather enough buzz to build up. It has happened, but chances are against it.
So manage your expectations wisely; right now all we can hope is that the show wraps up well without being pulled
Big shame. I like some of the cast members from previous projects and hoped it would do well for them as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm just glad it has 3 weeks to maybe fake some "better" ratings and not get cancelled before the upfronts.
This is The Cw's Midseason Schedule I would have loved to see (iZombie wouldn't have had a great lead-in, but who knows? maybe it would have found its audience anyway):
ReplyDeleteMondays
8 pm The Originals
9 pm Jane the Virgin
Tuesdays
8 pm The Flash
9 pm Supernatural
Wednesdays
8 pm Arrow
9 pm The Messengers
Thursdays
8 pm The Vampire Diaries
9 pm iZombie
Fridays
8 pm Whose Line Is It Anyway?
8.30 pm Whose Line Is it Anyway? - Repeat
9 pm Reign
I never said it was coming back. I said they mentioned it had a tiny chance, which they said in conjunction with the "Odds are.."
ReplyDeleteI know I know. I just not ready to give up on the show, will probably get there if the ratings fall even more.
ReplyDeleteI'm dreading to see next week's ratings already!
ReplyDeleteThis makes way more sense than what they have right now
ReplyDeleteI've only seen active engagement through the official FB page, so I'm not sure with the billboards and off-site promotions, though
ReplyDeleteOr iZombie on tuesdays and Supernatural as lead-out of The Vampires.
ReplyDeleteShould be fun. Finally Friday ratings got slightly interesting. ^_^
ReplyDeleteBut first I have to survive till Moday to see the final numbers.
Can you work for the CW? Seriously this schedule is basically perfect.
ReplyDeleteThe thing I overall am not getting is why they decide to keep the show on Fridays even during summer/after sweeps. Not really logical.
ReplyDeleteThat would have been perfect, and that was actually what I suggest for their midseason schedule. I don't know why they didn't go for it
ReplyDeleteMine had iZombie and SON switched around.
ReplyDeleteMine was like that but with iZombie switching places with Supernatural.
ReplyDeleteBut after all, CW won with the changes they made, SPN + The 100 combined for a 1.35 average before DST, iZombie + SPN are combined for 1.45 after DST.
I believe next season CW could go female, maybe TVD/TO to thursdays, allowing them to have a monday night anchor on either Cordon or death squad.
I just can't with CW and people saying they DIDN'T WATCH it because they were afraid it would do badly. Congratulations, your decision definitely helped the show and ratings.
ReplyDeleteMy Schedule for CW 2015/16
ReplyDeleteMonday
8 PM - Jane The Virgin
9 PM - New Drama
Tuesday
8 PM - The Flash
9 PM - New Drama/ IZombie
Wednesday
8 PM - Arrow
9 PM - The 100/ New Drama
Thursday
8 PM - The Vampire Diaries
9 PM - Supernatural
Friday
8 PM - The Originals
9 PM - Reign
PS. Call me crazy, but i think TO and Reign will do well on fridays and they make a good tema.
It reminds me of The 100, which was commented so much since the first episode. If only The Messengers got 2/3 of The 100's series premiere rating.
ReplyDeleteAdd me as well.
ReplyDeleteReign will pull 0.0 on fridays,it has to go in Summer slot.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, thanks :)
ReplyDeleteI want to see your ideal fall schedule for this year.
ReplyDelete-Jane doesnt rate high enough to be a lead in for a new show
ReplyDelete-TO doesnt deserve a Friday move esp not over JTV, I would think its going to stay on Monday
-Reign I would imagine will move to late spring/summer
Will the CW even air the whole season now before cancelling it given the low ratings from the start?
ReplyDeleteTO & SPN will be on the move again this fall, mark my words.JtV isn't moving anywhere.
ReplyDeleteYou said"unless Rachel dosent to do it,it's coming back cause Deadline says it has a tiny chance" or at least that's what I got from your comment.CW won't Likley have any scheduling need for HoD with three or four new shows,IZombie,Reign,Batzb,SPN,Arrow,zFladh,VD,Tzo,Jane all airing between Oct 2015& June 2016& ANTM running til end of Nov or later this fall,
ReplyDeleteThey have no reason to pull it.It's finale is on july 31.Summer run.
ReplyDeleteYes,they aired all of Cult, though that toFri then was pulled & later burned off in summer
ReplyDeleteYes,they'll most Likley air it all. They want more original summer programming and produced all the episodes already,ad times been sold and they aired all of Cult though it moved to Fri then was pulled for summer burnoff, but Messengers is close enough to summer burnoff they may as well.
ReplyDeleteI have 3 questions: 1 - Do you like Reign?
ReplyDelete2 - The CW has some series that has scored 0.1 / 0.2?
3 - If Reign pass the summer is possible to have a season of 22 episodes?
That is not what I said at all. That's how you interpreted two completely different statements in my comment and then launched into one of you recycled rants on me about it.
ReplyDeleteI never said hart was coming back. If I did, it would say, hart is coming back.
I simply stated deadline said it had a tiny chance. That's really it. Anything further, you've tacked on to my statement because you felt something was implied when it wasn't.
1.Liked it before but now it has turned into a hot mess, dropping it next season.
ReplyDelete2.Yes-L.A.Complex,Cult.
3.22 episodes-No.13 episodes-Yes.
think the third season will offset this current and now I am in favor of the CW will do the thing you think is best for the series. Now just wait pro upfront
ReplyDeleteRelatively, as well as Grimm. Unfortunately :(
ReplyDeleteOk.Why would they want it back though? it's the second liwest rated, has a proper ending, enough episodes for syndication and they renewed so many shows-They'll renew IZombie too-and the fact they renewed Jane,Reign ,The 100 with similar ratings instead of HoD indicates they don't want it back and never intended to renew it
ReplyDeleteI don't like judging CW shows since I don't watch like 80 percent of them. But the Messengers pilot wasn't bad & . & has more potential than other shows I've caught.. And I just don't understand what they were thinking premiering it on a Friday. Couldn't they have atleast launched it during the week while some of the other shows were on repeats before moving it to Friday? None of the pilots sound that great to me for this coming season but I feel like they should have several shows with shorter episode orders similar to the 100 to atleast give new shows a chance. The premise of TM too makes it likely that each episode will just get better so its a shame
ReplyDeleteit airs unless hits 0.0s and 0.1s
ReplyDeleteThe Messengers should've been paired with something like The 100
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely devastating about The Messengers. Excuse me while I go to the corner and weep. Maybe it will be a strong DVR performer. Ugh. Ughhhhhhhhhhh.
ReplyDeleteI didn't even think about the DVR numbers. Maybe it could pull the show up and draw viewers in. But very doubtful.
ReplyDeleteAwhile back I read something about how prior to being a Nielsen household they have to fill out a survey about the kinds of shows they watch and people who enjoy fantasy and sci-fi tended to be turned away. Therefore the ratings for these kinds of shows may not be accurately sampled. I don't know how true this is but it wouldn't surprise me. Obviously genre series suffer in the ratings.
ReplyDeleteToo bad DVR numbers have little to no importance in the renewing or cancelling of shows.
ReplyDeleteYep but there could be hope that there are people who could change their mind and start watching the show next week or soonISH. *desperation smells*
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for this information :) those are my favorite genres, so it's sad for me to see them getting mainly low or just modest results.
ReplyDeleteOn CW they do
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gutted about The Messengers ratings. Although it's view ship doesn't seem that bad?
ReplyDeleteYou're all woried about TM's ratings. Don't worry, it's The CW - they like to renew shows even with low rating (ex: Hart of Dixie, The Carrie Diaries, Reign S2, BATB). So I'm still not worried as it was Friday and the CW.
ReplyDeleteThat's too bad about the messengers, wasn't a bad show at all. I was expecting a 0.5-0.6.
ReplyDeleteGood for Reign moving to Friday next fall :)
ReplyDeleteThat's only after they've been on for more than 1 season though. They won't renew it when it's premiere was 0.3 and the ratings will onlione decline..
ReplyDeleteThey may, but other CW shows also have DVR ratings, and it is unlikely even with DVR that The Messengers will catch up to other shows on CW.
ReplyDeleteI would think the DVR numbers will be a sizable boost given the CW's target audience generally has social plans on Friday. I'm an old fuddy duddy. I was at work and will have to stream it.
ReplyDeleteDoes that make you think that someone at the CW may be trying to sabotage TM? CBB (wha?) is the kind of show I'd surf away from, get interested in something else and forget to turn back to the station.
ReplyDeletei was gonna watch the messengers ,but after seeing the ratings not so sure
