DAMN IT SCORPION, WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO US?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FIRST YOU DESTROY WALTER AND CABE'S RELATIONSHIP AND THEN YOU MAKE WALTER AND PAIGE HAVE THE FIGHT OF ALL FIGHTS!!!!!!!!!!! ARGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Walter should have never been driving with all those emotions coursing through his body
All the Waige stuff tonight was heartbreaking. Poor Paige really didn't have a choice but her words were hurtful. I just hope next week doesn't leave us hanging until Fall.
i'm 100% on walter side when it comes to his problems with cabe and paige, and paige really crossed the line she should of never said those things to walter and her trusting drew is gonna bite her in the ass
i think she saw that ralph was liking walter more than his father so she decided to remedy that severing the connection but that is gonna hurt him in the long run because besides walter and the team, ralph has no one to relate to, especially drew since he is a moron
Yeah, Paige, go enjoy your time with deadbeat, Drew. The guy left her for six years to raise Ralph on her own. Following him to Maine sounds like a good idea? What really bothers her is knowing that Walter has been more of a father to Ralph than Drew has ever been.
Ah that was a great episode to watch. And ha at the end a Cliffhanger as for the title. For Walter basically his key piece to his trust with Cabe broke so its expected the way he behaved using every last ounce of his Low EQ. Paige well by now she should know her son better, and know he takes facts seriously and literally. If he was told He IS part of Scorpion, and he hears from the news all of Scorpion will have to step it up or be part of the action, he is going to take action on those facts. But this can be prevented in the future, with another fact, like you can't do what they do until you are an adult. But yea her saying being like Walter is bad, not cool.
Oh gooooooood. That was intense ! The Cabe thing, then the Ralph thing, then the Walter/Paige thing, and the cliffhanger thing. Pfiouuuuu. Sooo.. When is monday again...?
I my head it's more about the near death experience thing she's talking about when she says that, rather than everything about him. Also in the heat of the moment, seeing her only son nearly die, that can do things to you. In her head it must be something like 'What do I do know, how do I keep him safe?' So of course, Drew is the safe (stupid) choice. The guy is dull. That's not with him that Ralph will pull stunts like that, of course. So bam, you have it, safe (stupid) choice.
But I agree with you anyway, that was crossing a big fat line. Walter was (is) more of a dad than D-bag ever was. She knows it. And she must have known that it would hurt Walter more than everything, that's her job after all, she said it.
This episode had really good examples of 'don't make rash decision in the heat of the moment'.
it can work for both, and it is right now. But yea I meant, that she probably likes Walter, but she loves her son more, and for her she uses the social norm to decide her fate aka go with her real dad, someone with a not dangerous job.
Wow who didn't see that coming as soon as he got the car. Have to say I lose interest in this show more every week. Walter is just so self-involved that he doesn't understand that what Cabe did was years ago and he had tried to make up for it every since and Page is just trying to protect her son. What a jerk.
It wasn't the fact that Ralph likes Walter more -- it was the fact that Ralph risked his life and Walter praised him and gave him approval. I wish the dialogue had been more specific and we saw more of how she handled Ralph at home.
But isn't her EQ the point? Her normal EQ level made her act irrationally, as I'm sure any parent would in that situation. Her child almost died because he wanted to be like Walter. While of course it's logical that Walter is not at fault, that's not what a parent is thinking in the heat of the moment.
And of course, I'm sure they will resolve everything!
We all know Walter will be fine...the show has already been renewed for a second season and there is no Scorpion without Walter (or Paige, for that matter). So while it was heartbreaking to see their fight and intense to see Walter go over the cliff, I'm not worried.
I knew that episode was gonna be intense, I didn't expect to be crying during it...excellent episode. I never expected Paige to say anything like that to Walter. Lol at there being an actual cliffhanger although the synopsis for the finale kind of spoiled what was going to happen.
Exactly! I see a lot of people saying she crossed the line, but as a mother myself, I would have made the same choice. And probably said something similar. Yeah, Walter has a point, but Drew is the father and Walter has no right (at this point) to talk the way he does or make any decisions for Paige or her son. Maybe I would not have followed Dead-beat dad to Maine, but to take myself and my son out of Scorpion, yeah, probably. I have always found this aspect of the show the must unbelievable anyway. We first meet Paige at a diner, working as a waitress, while her son sits at the counter. She doesn't seem to have any family nearby and likely can't afford a sitter. When she joins Scorpion she is gallivanting all over the country, often into extremely dangerous situations, so we are to assume she has now hired a top-notch 24/7 nanny and/or leaving her son with Drew all time. And don't get me started on how the school never called her when they found her son has escaped through a window. Nope. He makes it all the way to where they are and sneaks in the building and THEN she sees him on the security feed.
I think they should be acknowledging that Team Scorpion must be making a ton of money from these contractual engagements that routinely put their lives in danger. The idea that Paige could walk away so freely, after earning so little as a waitress to support her son... I understand the emotion, but the reality of the situation is surely a lot more complex?
Awesome episode. I loved the looks that Happy, Toby, and Sylvester gave Walter when Paige left. I'm not sure if I would call it the what have you done look or the you've gone crazy look. Can't wait to see what happens in the season finale.
Paige's decision was nothing to do with Ralph liking Walter more than Drew. Paige doesn't have feelings for Drew, but he's Ralph's dad and she's trying to do the best for her son. Her decision was clearly based on her wanting to keep Ralph safe. Any mother would probably have panicked and reacted in the same way.
I really don't understand how people can be criticsing Paige for the decision she made. Her son nearly died, and she panicked and made a decision with the only thought of protecting him. She clearlycares about Walter and appreciates everything he has done for Ralph (and said as much) but her son is her no. 1 priority and she sees how reckless Walter is, and can't take that chance anymore. I think that's what she means when she says she doesn't want Ralph to become him. Sure Remember how she asked Walter what she should gamble on in the viKill Screen episode when Ralph got in trouble - well she's made the decision that she can't gamble on Ralph's life anymore. Any mother in her situation would probably react the same. And Walter doesn't help himself with his arrogance, and the way he dismisses other people who are of his intellect. I do like Walter a lot more now, and his character has evolved throughout the first season, but he still infuriates me a lot of the time with his arrogance, recklessness, and selfishness at making decisions without involving his team. I hope, like some people have said, that next season it becomes much less about the Walter show, and more about Sylvester, Toby, Paige etc.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
A literal cliffhanger…really?….who didn't see that coming…lol
ReplyDeleteEpisode was freaking awesome, haven't been so thrilled since "Dominoes". Really looking forward to see finale.
ReplyDeleteOkay so....I'm not okay.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened? I haven't been able to watch it yet..
ReplyDeleteDAMN IT SCORPION, WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO US?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FIRST YOU DESTROY WALTER AND CABE'S RELATIONSHIP AND THEN YOU MAKE WALTER AND PAIGE HAVE THE FIGHT OF ALL FIGHTS!!!!!!!!!!! ARGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ReplyDeletebasically Team Scorpion dissolved
ReplyDeleteAll the Waige stuff tonight was heartbreaking. Poor Paige really didn't have a choice but her words were hurtful. I just hope next week doesn't leave us hanging until Fall.
ReplyDeleteI think Paige crossed the line saying that she doesn't want her son to be like Walter. That was really mean.
ReplyDeletei'm 100% on walter side when it comes to his problems with cabe and paige, and paige really crossed the line she should of never said those things to walter and her trusting drew is gonna bite her in the ass
ReplyDeleteAwesome episode! My feels are all over the place.
ReplyDeleteSometimes they make Paige too judgemental and preachy. Not happy at all she pulled it on Walter when he's at his lowest. So much for HER EQ!
ReplyDeleteSo true. First she told Walter to change his mind about Cabe and then she goes like that when Walter was pretty low and upset so much.
ReplyDeleteThe way Team Scorpion turned into after tonight I can only imagine what will happen on the season finale next Monday
ReplyDeletei think she saw that ralph was liking walter more than his father so she decided to remedy that severing the connection but that is gonna hurt him in the long run because besides walter and the team, ralph has no one to relate to, especially drew since he is a moron

Because love makes people do stupid things in real life and even way more so in fiction work.
ReplyDeleteOh gooooooood. That was intense ! The Cabe thing, then the Ralph thing, then the Walter/Paige thing, and the cliffhanger thing. Pfiouuuuu. Sooo.. When is monday again...?

that D-Bag left her barely scraping by, how is it possible for her to for her that?! love for Walter?
ReplyDeleteit can work for both, and it is right now.
ReplyDeleteBut yea I meant, that she probably likes Walter, but she loves her son more, and for her she uses the social norm to decide her fate aka go with her real dad, someone with a not dangerous job.
Awesome episode, awful ending.
ReplyDeleteI think I'll repeat my comment from the sneak peek: That was messy...
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't want my son like Walter either in the way of his attitude, he's got a ego and is sometimes selfish!!!
ReplyDeleteWow who didn't see that coming as soon as he got the car. Have to say I lose interest in this show more every week. ReplyDeleteThank you..and he puts himself in danger every week..Paige has a point.
ReplyDeleteIt's slowly becoming the Walter show...I hope they change that next season. It was better when all members were involved.
ReplyDeleteReally great ! I thought that Walter was gonna faint ... well he did worse at the end ..literal cliffhanger ..
ReplyDeleteThen watch it instead of asking and spoiling it for yourself.
ReplyDeleteLol at that literal cliffhanger.
ReplyDeleteBut isn't her EQ the point? Her normal EQ level made her act irrationally, as I'm sure any parent would in that situation. Her child almost died because he wanted to be like Walter. ReplyDeleteThat would cause the heat to build up and probably cause even more problems.
ReplyDeleteGuess that's my own decision is it? ;)
ReplyDeleteExactly! I see a lot of people saying she crossed the line, but as a mother myself, I would have made the same choice. And probably said something similar. Well, when the 2 main actors are dating in real life......show is bound to take a different direction.
ReplyDeletePlease, please do not put poor Ralph in any more situations like that! I was totally on the edge of my seat!
ReplyDeleteThat may be the writers deciding to o the slow burn...which is norm for all shows
ReplyDeleteI think they should be acknowledging that Team Scorpion must be making a ton of money from these contractual engagements that routinely put their lives in danger. ReplyDeleteYes, exactly! They should have made that scene longer, given it a bit more context
