I thought it was pretty good. I didn't really care for the hitman stuff. I like Liv with more feelings. I wish they hadn't killed her zombie friend. They really didn't spend enough time trying to change her back. Maybe it still could have been done.
I think iZombie is a cute show. It reminds me a little of TruCalling, but a bit campy. I'll have to watch a few more to see if it will amount to anything. There are so many shows nowadays with basically the same undead premise, that a story has to be exceptional to to even have a chance. Hope it bests the odds.
I'm enjoying the weekly ride of memories Liv deals with.. It is a very interesting and unique way to both solve a weekly case and get deeper into Liv as a character.
Was that Devon Gummersall from My So Called Life?
I never expected Brian Krakow to grow up into a serial killer.... Who knew! XD
I think there is more to why Liz and Blaine are more evolved zombies than the others we've seen. I don;t think feeding a random "brainless" zombie some brains will help them regain some of their former identity. I'm not sure why though... Maybe the fact that Blaine was the original dealer of Utopian and Liv never actually took any mean something?
Hitman Liv was nice, she did well in showing no emotions and her voice over thoughts explaining things is something I like very much. I like the Facts bit the Most.
And of course Peyton is ADA. = that's a good way to keeping her around in the show more. Well at least she was at her friends side at the end of the day.
Blaine's just being a Zombie I get that, but I felt bad for the friend who was looking for his friend.
Could be, I mean those who took the drug became crazy zombies and those who were scratch or bit directly by Blaine became civilized zombies. It could as you say he may be the original host and there are perks to being royalty.
The episode needed a hug between Ravi & Liv. What they both went through was pretty traumatic. Liv killing a zombie and a person she knows, while Ravi reached faced the scary reality of the zombie disease.
I wish the show does not drop it and go back to the dreaded formula. I honestly skipped the scenes that involved the case of the week :/
I got to say I loved it, I liked the case of the week as well, it showcased Liv and Peyton's relationship as friends more so than just hanging out in the apt, I did feel bad for the young guy looking for his friend, and damn Blaine has him, I hope Liv catches up with them before he becomes a zombie, I'm loving this campy goodness!!!!
oh right! huh that COULD be interesting, but the way they're building Blaine as some scumbag "brain" dealer he doesn't feel like one, just lucky that he got turned
Awesome episode, but i'm getting frustrated that they are making her that dumb on some stuff. You work for the police department and you go after criminals, and you always ask this cop to go after a criminal with no evidence are you kidding me this is just stupid.
if anyone had asked me a month ago i'd have said that no, a show about zombies cannot be 'different' and zombies are NOT adorable and that there is nothing interesting about eating brains. wow, was i wrong! also, the show lucked out on the casting: liv is amazing when she's acting out different personality traits after each 'meal', the actress is great :D
As far as 3rd episodes go, this was reeeeeeally good!
I even quite enjoyed the procedural aspect of the show this week! If the case of the week is good, it can help with the mix the mythology/procedural a bit better. I liked that we got to see more of Peyton. I want to like her, and her appearance this week certainly was a step in the right direction. (also on a shallow note: I'm liking Ally as a brunette. It gives her a mature look, that I didn't think she could pull off) I want to believe Clive is not a bad cop, just an underrated one. And I'm happy to say I got feeling from this episode that, that's indeed the case. Ravi and Liv are always fun... and I'm glad they're bonding... even if bonding for them mean disposing of a dead zombie... well at leas it gives them something to bond over I guess... (speaking of: poor Marcy) Not enough Blaine... I felt bad for Jerome. And then walking away with Blaine in the end to his death, like his friend. It was pretty dark and sad... Well at least this does bring Major into the story a bit more actively, so that might be good... or at the very least interesting.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

psycho Liv is SCARY!!!!
ReplyDeletewasn't it surprising that Ravi wasn't even scared when Liv went into "Full Zombie-Mode"?
ReplyDeleteroyalty?

ReplyDeleteA really interesting episode. Just wanted a bit more Blaine, he is so amazing.
ReplyDeleteRavi's accent is a bit bordering me but I'll survive. Overall one more solid episode.
Loved that scene! He was a bit scared, but he knew he can get to her even when she was raging out.

ReplyDeleteThis show is amazing Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas has done it again, this is a great addition to the shows already on The CW 😊
ReplyDeletewhy? it's not like it's fake, it's the actor's real accent
ReplyDeleteYeah but it hurts my ears.

This series gets 0.7's after The Flash's 1.3... really bad ratings, considering... hoping it gets canceled
ReplyDeleteWith each episode, I love iZombie more and more. Please CW let it stay!!
