The demeanor between Nick and Juliette now has a sense of tension, even danger. Their body language and temperament towards each other is getting colder and more distant. I think they are having a physical reaction with Nick being a Grimm and Juliette a Hexenbiest.
The moment Juliette told Nick the truth, it should've been all hands on deck to see if she could be cured of the curse. That includes Monroe and Rosalie. Juliette agreed to the spell because Nick wanted to be a Grimm again. Also, Nick needed his powers back to protect Monroe and Rosalie. No one in the gang is to blame, but they each played their part in Juliette's situation. I wonder what Juliette meant about how she knew why Nick told Hank about her transformation. Is it because Nick needs someone to back him up and/or support him if this all goes to hell and Nick is forced to kill Juliette.
I'm bracing myself for the inevitable death that is to come. Monroe telling Rosalie about his fears and how close they came to their "time running out" was, of course, major foreshadowing. Everyone is the core gang is so important that I can't imagine losing any of them. Makes me wonder about Woo's fate.
Adalind's story has always been the weak spot for me, Juliette's in second place. I definitely have not liked this overall arch of hexenbeists (however it's spelled).
Well I can understand Juliette saying she's losing herself. Her personality has changed and she's actively pushing everyone away in ways that seem to be designed to (she thinks) keep them from coming back. Highly annoyed that she slept with Renard.
As for the COTW.....I have never used the word 'stupid' to describe Nick's actions....tonight I did. Really? You think its a good idea to way a bunch of 'hibernating bears' and what was the plan. It didn't sound like Nick was consciously processing the fact that by going out there to bring Sven into custody he was, essentially, executing the guy. I would have been okay with it if they'd acknowledged the situation, but because they didn't it felt callous and wrong.
Also...am tired of all questions and no answers with regard to Renard's bullet holes. I'm growing more and more dubious of his mother's Hexenbiest skills.
I worried it was Monroe who would die, but I think that scene was just the writers' way to wake us up and make us worry. Of course it won't be Monroe. There are too many Monroesalee fans and that would be stupid.
About Juliette and renard that was has obviously her trying to help him out why did she have to sleep with him I don't know that's what hexenbeast do? But whatever they did renard expected something to work and it didn't which is why he was upset when he woke up.
I think Renard is being tortured by death itself ..I think when Renard died briefly he was death property, but than Renards mother took him back ..so death wants what he was cheated out of : Renard
As for Renard sleeping and may have impregnated Juliette. I like their relationship she shows more spark with Renard , she is totally boring with Nick.
I think Juliette is finally coming out of the shadows of Nick, she was always the dutiful girlfriend who's obviously forgotten that she is a vet, I feel she's completely justified, she has every right to be angry and nick cavalier attitude just stinks, the MVP for this episode Rosalee she was amazing, her reaction to seeing Juliette priceless!!! I know death is chasing Renard just like in final destination, I hope he or any of the Grimm gang doesn't die!!!!!
Just saw it on DVR and well... the Juliette/Adalind thing was interesting. That's coming along so no issues there.
The Case of the Week was also interesting. The ending was... well it was stupid. Silly, juvenile and just kind of dumb. The whole concept of the hibernaculum as unique and creative as it was, was executed really dumb. First: Hank, Nick, Wu and Monroe go looking for the house and sneak around in the dark. I laughed out loud when they all popped their heads up over stone wall. It was literally a Scooby Doo moment. So that was probably unintended but it came across as juvenile.
Then there's the naturally creeptastic pile of flesh in the middle of the floor. I guess NBC did it as tastefully as they could but for anyone who has seen Slither with Nathan Fillion think of the circumstances when he says "well that is some f^cked up sh*t" and you'll understand what I mean.
Finally after everyone's been put back to bed (I guess is the best way to put it) they all tip toe around.
I just shake my head and chuckle at this show sometimes.
Of course it won't be Monroe, the whole Wesenreign plot already touched on the idea, if Monroe were to die somehow that whole plot would essentially be meaningless and Monroe is too much of a major character to be killed up, they'd lose too many viewers. Personally, I'm more worried about Hank being the one to who will kick the bucket. Though I really wish they could just simply kill Adalind off instead, for goodness sakes.
Honestly, that whole part of the episode where they were breaking and entering to get to the suspect and then proceeded to wake a bunch of sleeping wessen that are known to attack humans (for their body heat) seemed like an idiotic course of action. I mean, come on Nick, what did you really expect would happen in that situation?
REASONS FOR ITS BEING ADALIND: 1. Juliette is seeking revenge. 2. Claire might be wanting to leave the show to raise her baby. REASONS IT MIGHT NOT BE: Adalind is pregnant, and I don't think they'd want to kill off a pregnant woman. REASON IT COULD BE JULIETTE: Adalind knows Juliette is trying to kill her and she might decide to kill Juliette first.
After this episode I think Grimm lost focus, the storylines are a mess and I hope the fix until the end of the season. Juliette will die, the basically blow her character with this hexenbiest twist.
Hmm, I didn't interpret the Juliette/Renard scene the way you did. When Juliette said she was 'finishing what we started' I took that to mean she was referring to the fight/make out scene from last season. I saw that as just a romp in the hay. Interesting.
Well I maybe wrong but what I do know is Juliette and renard have NO intreast in each other and ther interactions have nothing to do with romance Juliette came to him for help and it made sense he's a zauberbiest closes thing to a hexenbeast and his mother made the potion. Not everything Juliette does has to be about romance or about nick
I completely agree with you there. A lot of what she's been doing reads to me like she's trying to spread her pain. I was actually glad to hear she feels like she's losing herself.
Can't it be possible that Renard hallucinated the whole scene with Juliette? At least I hope that's the case. Or maybe he sent her away without us knowing. He woke up in his bed alone, so I think there is still hope that what we saw wasn't exactly true. I refuse to believe that Juliette and Nick's relationship is broken beyond repair, but if she really slept with Renard there would be no coming back from that.
I do like the hallucination theory. My hopes that it's right are low...but I do like the theory. Problem is you've now made me think perhaps Renard the end of season death people keep talking about. Them having sex would make it nearly impossible for Nick to continue working with him. :-|
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Well, i like this episode a lot it had more action than the last episode. Also I wonder what was that thing that renard saw in his house.

I really do not like what the show runners are doing with Juliette and I am getting grumpy. I love this show but not this plot.
ReplyDeleteI liked how it went full circle to Nick flashing back to the first episode of the series when Aunt Marie told him to break up with Juliette.
ReplyDeleteI think Nick's a dick for treating Juliette the way he has.

ReplyDeleteI liked it too. It was a departure for the writers to bring back a line that was mentioned before rather than leaving threads hanging.

ReplyDeleteCOTW was quite interesting and sad at the same time. As for Renard I just want to forget about this episode.

ReplyDeleteI would not be surprise if Juliette will be carrying a royal baby, after her twist with Renard.
