Seriously I can't stay open mouthed after every episode! Wells is Eobard but he's not. He's also Wells but he's not! What happened to the real Wells? Does Eobard have the real Harrison's emotions and that's why he's helping or is he just doing it to get Barry to time travel? Barry phased! Wells\Eobard helped him connect to the Speed Force. We saw Harrison's wife. They told Eddie!!! And he's lying to Iris too! So she's the Quentin of the Flash now? Things are going way too good for Henry and I'm starting to get worried. I swear to GOD if you kill him!!!!!!!! That last scene with Caitlin was cute. It must've been hard on Barry to see his father thanking the man who killed his mom. Barry's scenes with Joe and Henry continue to make me cry like a baby. I was worried about Iris and proud of her at the same time.
DID YOU SEE THAT PROMO???? THINGS ARE GETTING CRAZY AND OLIVER IN THE LEAGUE SUIT!!!!!!!!
Another really good episode, but not quite awesome for me.
- I liked the Barry and dad bonding moments, but again... It feels liek a bad idea to reveal his identity to his dad. - I liked the Barry and Joe's investigation moving forward, but bringing in Eddie seems like a miscalculation to me.
I wonder if this time split's actions will revert back to the original timeline with Barry having learned lessons. One he will have learned Wells is Reverse Flash, and two he will have learned it is a bad idea to reveal your identity so openly.
This episode helped me recall what it is I like about Mark Hamill.. Since he rarely does live action acting and concentrates on voice-over work I never have to hear him over act! Yikes!
Overall a fun episode... but not one of the series' best.
Seeing Oliver in the League suit kinda ruined the reveal on Arrow. I couldn't help thinking as I was watching tonight's episode that The Flash is a much better written show and that the Arrow and all other superheroes are playing support to The Flash.
Liked the fact that Barry revealed himself to his Dad not that he didn't already know. Not sure I'm comfortable with Eddie knowing but that maybe because we know Eddie has a connection to The Reverse Flash or is it Dr Wells. Either way, great episode tonight. This is becoming my favorite of the two shows.
AHHHH! I LOVE THIS SHOW!!! Omg!!! Firstly I just want to say....Congratulations Barry on your first PHASE! Awwww, I'm soo proud of him!! I've been waiting for him to do that!! Now I'm soooo cool with him telling Henry. I loved that and didn't expect it. He told Henry everything, and I loved the way Henry just accepted it, it was awesome. (Probably my favorite scene of the night) But Barry What. The. F*ck?! How could you tell Eddie???? That I did NOT see coming! Omg!!! I'm pissed about that. I didn't like that at all.
Tom Cavanagh- I love this man!!! His wholeeee story with Harrison Wells! Ohh so moving. His acting is just wow! I love him. I love when they give characters layers! I loved every bit of it. Now him being the actual Harrison Wells I didn't suspect. So that was a nice touch. Felt bad about him and his wife though, but hey Eobard's always been in sane sooo yeah. But that was great. I loved all of it.
Tricksters- They were fun. I enjoyed their last act. With the champagne. There were some good one liners by Mark tonight, (and I swear I heard Joker a few times, not even kidding). I liked the....Barry: "It's ok, you've all been given an anecdote." Trickster: "Well that's not very sanitary." Hahaha, But my favorite had to be.... "I've had 20 years to come up with the perfect trick. It's going to be my masterpiece, my Breaking Bad season 5....They gave me cable in prison so i'd stop killing the guards." LMAO!! Now as a tv fanatic, I'm just saying, the man had a point. Lol. Fun fun fun all around.
Barry needs to keep a cool head around Wells. I knew it'd be an issue for him. I just hope he can get a handle on it now. I cringed when Henry shook hands with Wells. Ugh. Can't wait til they get him.
Barry and Joe- I've said it before and I'll say it again. Their scenes make the show for me. However, if there's one interaction, that I love more, the one that can beat these two, then that easily goes to Barry and Henry. So Joe and Barry were a few hairs behind this time. But still love them.
Final thoughts: Will Barry let Cisco and Caitlin in on this secret next episode? I'm hoping. How long will it take to find (or not find) Mason? Iris...red is not your color. Did I enjoy the special sneak peek? Eh, some of it, not all of it. Am looking forward to that Joe and Quentin scene though.
This was the best episode of The Flash for me to date. Seeing John Wesley Shipp and Mark Hamill together was a total flashback for me because I remember the first incarnation of The Flash tv series. I was jumping up and down with delight when Matt Letscher was on screen as the true Reverse Flash. I think he is the best character actor out there. Both Matt and Tom Cavanagh were on one of my all time favorite shows, Eli Stone. I really miss that show, but I digress.
Now we know the Reverse Flash did kill Nora and why Harrison Wells blood did not match the blood at the scene of the crime. There is no hope now that "Harrison Wells" is a good guy or that he has the best of intention when it comes to Barry's. He is using Barry, Caitlyn, and Cisco as a means to the end of getting back to his own time and will kill anyone who gets in his way or becomes no longer useful in achieving his goals. What do we call this guy from this point ... Harrison or Eobard?
It's absolutely insane how much The Flash manages to top itself week in and week out. Another fantastic episode with so many revelations and the return of the Trickster! I LOVED the scenes where Barry revealed himself to Eddie (though I have a bad feeling about that considering what happens in the coming weeks) and his father, Henry and all the hugs at STAR Labs with everyone before he went back to Iron Heights. So freaking emotional.
How badass was that fight scene between The Flash and Reverse Flash in the beginning?! My jaw dropped from how epic it was. And Eobard Thawne morphing into Harrison Wells was so damn creepy but so cool at the same time. So pissed that we have to wait 2 weeks to see more but I'am already so hyped for the next episode!
If there is one problem I had with this episode, it's that both Joe and Barry thought it was necessary for Eddie to know the Flash's identity. If the goal was to throw Iris off the track of finding out what happened to Mason, then Eddie was not a vital part of that plan. Joe could've easily positioned himself into volunteering to "investigate" Mason's disappearance and given Iris the same false information that Eddie told her. There is a fine line between the right people versus too many people knowing a hero's identity. Barry and Joe telling Eddie may have crossed that line.
Agreed with everything you said. As soon as Barry revealed himself to Eddie I immediately thought "Damn, I really hope we won't have another Arrow situation on our hands here and he just starts revealing himself to everyone just for the sake of revealing". I like what Barry is doing but he really has to be careful of who he reveals himself to because sooner or later there will be that one person who has a secret agenda and will betray you.
1. Somehow I think Eddie knowing about Barry will be the first crack in his relationship with Iris. 2, Does the transfer of Harrison's physical appearance to Eobard also include his intelligence and memories, or was Eobard already scientifically intelligent and just researched Harrison's background? 3. Can Henry break out of prison more often? I'm sure Captain Cold & Heat Wave could help. (Heh.)
-Mark Hamill! "I am your father" and breaking bad reference :D -More Henry is always great -The Flashbacks -The Flash's first phasing! (In the 1990 version Flash's first time phasing was in episode 8, I think) =AWESOME
That was awesome you guys! Mark Hamill did a get Trick (prefer his jokes though). Barry developed PHASING! The nerd in me is so happy. All the Joe Barry and Henry stuffs o cool. And I love Eobard's backstory. He's just as psychopathic as the comics.. These night six episodes are gonna to be fun!
There were shapeshifters on the show who did the same thing with a very similar device. You should give the show a try it's awesome. Not to mention Joshua Jackson.
Eddie seems (and I'm 100% sure of this) like a genuinely good person. Problem is he'll be destroyed and manipulated probably by Eobard and will turn on Barry because of this. And thus starting a millennia long feud between the Allens and Thawnes.
Was anyone else thinking of Fringe's shapeshifters when the Harrisons changed? Great episode, lots of reveals, I like where this is going. Good thing Eddie is now on board, but I hate the whole "let's keep Iris in the dark for her safety", it's stupid, it never works, and it only makes her character anoying. Now I feel bad for the real Harrison.
I could explain what I mean now, but I have to go. Maybe tomorrow. Let's say that for me, she's The Flash's Laurel, before she found out about Oliver. It's a writing thing.
What an episode!! Once again feel like a broken record here. After last weeks luke warm episode this week Flash is back with a bang.
- My Fringe heart. I squeeled so loud when I saw Eobard shape shift to Wells. - Barry phased and Wells talked him through it. It was so cool. - That initial scene of two speedsters running and Eobard killing Nora in slow motion was so awesome. - Henry at STAR labs. Did anyone got a hinky feeling when he was talking to Barry about running fast. Is he Jay Garrick after all. My spidey senses tingled hard in that scene.
- Barry was so tortured this episode. Only thought in my mind whenever he spoke to Wells was he is male Felicity. Both have zero poker face. At least Barry is getting better. - They told Eddie. Eddie!!! Is this going to be another Tommy situation? Or something else cooler. He is a Thawne. Just like Wells I just can't dislike Eddie. He is a cupcake. - MARK HAMILL, MARK HAMILL, MARK HAMILL!!!! Breaking Bad reference!! Enough said. - The way they make Iris take one step further and then they yank her back is getting frustrating. Let her move on with the investigation you bunch of cave men. She has the potential to be amazing if the show lets her.
A great episode. Not the best. A lot of setting up happened. Scarlet Speedster went one step ahead in his evolution. Can't wait for the next one.
I think Barry kinda of giving his identity away to the trickster and everyone in the crowd.... interesting enough Tommy learn Oliver secret in episode 16 while Eddie learn in episode 17...I have no doubt Eddie is bad if you saw the promo he kill two cops!
Barry gave his identity away to trickster? How did I miss that? Eddie's facial expressions when he looked at Barry after he lied to Iris was very telling. He is more insecure now. Tommy was very innocent on Arrow. Eddie till now is very likable but he is a cop and much tougher than Tommy. So who knows how he will react.
Oh. I didn't even notice that. This is the Arrow/Flash universe. We are supposed to ignore such inconsistencies. Only Iris and Henry requires voice scrambling. We are supposed to believe others are not smart enough or close enough to Barry to recognize his voice.
haha I liked this episode a lot. Its a little bit sad now that Barry doesn't trust Wells because during the this season he has done well by him. But I guess it was time for the big reveal. I can kinda see what may happen during the Climax of the season now, one thing is sure, it will be linked to the location of the Star labs.
The real Wells had a good thing going with his wife, the two seemed happy, so I guess there is a little peace in that he didn't have to suffer much.
I like the references this episode. First one wen Mark Hamil said "I am you Father" I laughed out so hard at that part. I was like oh shit they did it, I'm sure Mark probably wanted to do that all this time for fun.
The other link I liked was when the Reverse Flash took on the identity of Wells with a future Tech, and it reminded me of Fringe, because the Tech was similar to the ones in Fringe, only not in the mouth.
First thing I said when he pulled out the Tech, I was like Oh Fringe and then after the episode I re watched that scene when Etta meets her dad the first time.
To be far, the guy was emotional as hell. Actually most people get that voice thing. And it's not like Barry's the only guy with a highish voice in Central City. Tons of people sound the same. And most importantly he's an insane psychopath with no proof assuming he would even know.
Ah okay. Lol, second though your comment reminded me of of clip from Lois and Superman where this time traveller mocks Lois for being fooled by glasses.
For me Cavanagh is still Wells. Maybe in time I will think of him as Reverse Flash or Eobard, but right now I still think of him as Harrison Wells.
Yes, I know the real Wells died, but everyone in this timeline knows him as Wells. Plus, referring to him as Wells makes it easier if Matt Letscher makes more appearances as Eoibard Thawne in flashbacks or flashforwards......
you know when Henry was asking Barry how it felt when he runs, i was wishing that John Wesley Shipp played Jay Garrick. But i know back then they didn't even know that they were making another The Flash show in 2015 LOL and yeah Eddie has a hell of a family tree, lets see how psychotic the ANCESTOR of the Thawne family is if his descendant took ANOTHER man's face!
That doesn't really work. If the shows were in the same universe he'd be Barry. But even if they weren't he'd be married to Joan, is a chemist not a doctor and Barry would have been born with a Speed Force connection. And Barry was born 25 years ago. I hope Jay appears one day, but don't think it would happen like that.
Yep. I think Berlanti might have written for him. I know Geoff Johns (not one of the creators, but he's an executive producer and writer for the show) wrote huge stuff like Rebirth.
The old flash show will never be connected. John Wesley Shipp was Barry there. But Henry being Jay Garrick is quite possible. His questions and reactions to Barry's ability made me wonder if he could be older Flash?
Not much of an issue for me. The Flash is so comic booky I would gulp in anything that they serve just like Superman. You need to accept such stuff to enjoy these shows. Now on Arrow I am very critical about secret identities and masks. That's why I got so annoyed when Laurel told Ted Grant she used to date Arrow.
I guess I'm just enjoying The Flash more than Arrow at the moment. Loved S1 & 2 of Arrow, S3 is very messy with too much of the focus on everyone else and not enough on Oliver's journey!!!
This episode was made of awesome. I've been looking forward to Mark Hamill as the Trickster since I read about it months ago and he totally lived up to the hype. He was soooo creepy and twisted. Considering he hasn't had much work as an actor (doing mostly voice work) outside of the Star Wars Universe, I was truly impressed. Made me even more excited for The Force Awakens.
I'm also glad that Barry came clean with Eddie and that we got back story on Eobard/Wells. Again I will say, this episode was made of awesome. After the preview for upcoming episodes, I can't wait for the next one.
I thought it was a bad idea to reveal his identity to Eddie....now Eddie has to lie to Iris all the time too....what was the point of that? Just to lie about Mason Bridge...really didn't make too much sense...so much for secret identity
Remember..the producers took everything they learned from 2 seasons of Arrow to make the Flash better....we have to give kudos where they belong...if it weren't for Arrow, Flash wouldn't be this good.
Dear God, I can only think at this point Iris not knowing Barry's secret is RIDICULOUS and the writers are keeping her in the dark just for the sake of conflict.
Everybody is lying to Iris because that's supposed to protect her. Soooo, what will happen when Wells realize what Eddie, Joe and Barry are up to? Who may he threaten?
IRIS.
So hey, she must not know the truth so that she won't be warned when/if something bad happens.
Huh, I regard season 3 as Oliver's final ordeal or the breaking if the Arrow and death so he could become something better and really decide who he is: Green Arrow.
OMG!! I don't have often read spoilers for this show as I am more into Gotham but I have loved Mark Hamill's acting since Star Wars, I went nuts over the BTAS went he was Joker as a life long Bats fan so basically I'm a huge fan of his talent as an actor. So in saying that I had no idea that he was playing a villian in this show, I didn't recognise him at all and when they did that I am your father scene funny enough I thought of Star Wars and the whole Luke I am your father scene. Then to read this morning that he was in fact playing Old Trickster and he was fantastically creepy doing so I fangirled out lol. I really hope even if he doesn't want to play an iconic villian he comes over to Gotham and plays a character. Loved the episode, loved the development of Barry realising he's the reverse flash etc, also loved him telling Eddie he's the flash it will surely create some interesting moments in the future. Can't wait for the next episode.
Iris should be told the truth not Eddie.....we know Eddie will be bad.... it seem like a typical trying to protecting daughter for her safety trend like any other father/daughter duo
On paper I get where they are going with this season but it feels like they have tried to shove all the storylines that they should probably have alluded to in some form last season into this and Oliver's journey has become sidelined to an extent this season. Each to their own opinion the season feels a little off for me but hopefully these last few episodes will fix that.
Yaaaaaaaaaaay!!! I was looking for you!!! I'm so excited, so part of my theory is right till now. I admit, I didn't figured out HOW Eobard took Wells' life, and now the resemblance between Tony and Grant is not that important. That said... The reason for the car accident, Eobard choosing and taking Wells' life, he losing his powers because of the Flash fight!!! I got it, I got it, I got it!!! *doing victory dance* Now I'm really curious as to the rest of the enigma *_* The best surprise of the episode: Cool way to take someone's life, figuratively and for real!!! Second surprise: Eddie knows. WHAT THE F***! Loved eveything about the trickster nd all the easter eggs with both the actors and the first show Flash. So cool!! God, I need more!!!
I am not convinced fully that Wells is fully dead. I am thinking that the switch may have switched more than just faces/bodies. It could of added Wells' personality too or memories. Changing the original Eobard Thawne slightly?
one of the showrunners said that Wells' love for Tess and probably more were absorbed when Thawne absorbed Wells. So anytime he talked about Tess and was emotional, that was all true and probably the same with the bonds he's made with Team Flash
Oh stop gloating. So do you think Eobard was a future scientist? If not how can he impersonate Wells this much? He has to be a mad scientist himself right?
Eddie is such a wild card now. I have no idea how he is going to act in next episodes. His look when he looked at Barry at the end was so conflicted.
Absolutely BRILLIANT. ... then we get to the 42 min mark and the LYING LIARS WHO LIE just left a bad taste in my mouth and literally ruined one of the best eps this half of the season for me. Please please please make it stop.
I liked this episode, I loved that part where Barry saved his dad and took him to STAR Labs, then they had to say goodbye. Now this is just me but it seemed like his dad was not at all surprised by Barry being the Flash. I have this feeling that they are going to write that his father know a lot more about what is going on and he is just not telling Barry(at least im hoping the writers go this route). The whole telling Eddie was ok. I still think that when Iris finds out she will be pissed at all 3 of them and not want anything to with them. Glad we got more details about Wells, although it still does not make me not hate him, he still is evil in my book. over all it was a good episode.
I can't remember the episode, but some time last year, Barry and his dad had a conversation about Barry being the Flash. HIs dad pieced it together after Barry intervened (as the Flash) in a prison incident ...or something to that extent. Even though Barry denied that he was the Flash, it was clear that his Dad didn't believe the denials.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
What an episode ! My fav moments :
ReplyDelete1) The moment between Barry and Eobard before Barry's running through the trunk
2) The revelation of Barry's secret identity to Henry and Eddie. I really hope that we'll a POV of Eddie about Barry being The Flash.
Did anyone else laugh when Mark Hamill said "I am your father."
ReplyDeleteSeriously I can't stay open mouthed after every episode!
ReplyDeleteWells is Eobard but he's not.

I was worried about Iris and proud of her at the same time.
DID YOU SEE THAT PROMO???? THINGS ARE GETTING CRAZY AND OLIVER IN THE LEAGUE SUIT!!!!!!!!
It sounded so cheesy. It did not belong to that moment or that series for that matter.
ReplyDeleteAnother really good episode, but not quite awesome for me.

WOW! Barry phased and Harrison Wells is dead. What a mouth dropping episode.
ReplyDeleteIt was an awesome meta joke about Mark Hamill being best known as Luke Skywalker from Star Wars.
ReplyDeletedid....did you not get it?
ReplyDeleteThis was the best episode of The Flash for me to date. Of course I did. But you don't get to say that line unless you're James Earl Jones.
ReplyDeleteokay ummm...a little whacky is good but this show is jumping the hyper-mutated shark a bit too quick

or his fictional son
ReplyDeleteI got it, I even expected it before he said.
ReplyDeleteIt made me groan aloud.
Yeah I know but it didn't work for me.
ReplyDeleteNah, didn't have the same effect.
ReplyDeleteI groaned as well.
ReplyDeleteFair enough, it was deliberately over the top and not at all subtle. I can see why it may not have worked for you but I burst out laughing.
ReplyDeleteI rolled my eyes.
ReplyDeleteIf there is one problem I had with this episode, it's that both Joe and Barry thought it was necessary for Eddie to know the Flash's identity. ReplyDeleteI did not expect the flashback early on the episode. Phasing training!!
ReplyDelete1. Somehow I think Eddie knowing about Barry will be the first crack in his relationship with Iris.
ReplyDelete2, Does the transfer of Harrison's physical appearance to Eobard also include his intelligence and memories, or was Eobard already scientifically intelligent and just researched Harrison's background?
3. Can Henry break out of prison more often? I'm sure Captain Cold & Heat Wave could help. (Heh.)
The real Wells is dead. It's just Eobard now, helping him to get back to his time. There's no "left over Wells".
ReplyDeleteOh i did. hahahahaha Cause i knew it was coming. That was great. The writers must've had a laugh when they wrote that in. Hahahaha
ReplyDeleteToo bad. I would've liked that :(
ReplyDeleteSo he just took his appearance. Have you ever watched FRINGE?
Solid episode. I love the flashbacks and the answers they gave.
ReplyDelete-Mark Hamill! "I am your father" and breaking bad reference :D
ReplyDelete-More Henry is always great
-The Flashbacks
-The Flash's first phasing! (In the 1990 version Flash's first time phasing was in episode 8, I think)
=AWESOME
Yes he did. And no i haven't.
ReplyDeleteThat was awesome you guys!
ReplyDeleteHow at all?
ReplyDeleteThere were shapeshifters on the show who did the same thing with a very similar device. You should give the show a try it's awesome. Not to mention Joshua Jackson.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't supposed to. It was for comedic and meta purposes.
ReplyDeleteHe was good, but Noble was the best.
ReplyDeleteEobard. That's who he is.
ReplyDeleteOf course he was but I mentioned JJ because I know that she loves him.
ReplyDeleteEddie seems (and I'm 100% sure of this) like a genuinely good person. Problem is he'll be destroyed and manipulated probably by Eobard and will turn on Barry because of this. And thus starting a millennia long feud between the Allens and Thawnes.
ReplyDeleteEhh, i was never really into Fringe.
ReplyDeleteYeah I was hoping they may figure out a way to split Eobard and Harrison apart so TC can avoid being the FLash's nemesis stay on the series longer.
ReplyDeleteWas anyone else thinking of Fringe's shapeshifters when the Harrisons changed?
ReplyDeleteGreat episode, lots of reveals, I like where this is going.
Good thing Eddie is now on board, but I hate the whole "let's keep Iris in the dark for her safety", it's stupid, it never works, and it only makes her character anoying.
Now I feel bad for the real Harrison.
Hey did yu guys see Future Barry's emblem it was white. That's just cool.
ReplyDeleteHow does that make her annoying?
ReplyDeleteI could explain what I mean now, but I have to go. Maybe tomorrow. Let's say that for me, she's The Flash's Laurel, before she found out about Oliver. It's a writing thing.
ReplyDeleteHow at all? Laurel was a bitch to most characters on a good day. Iris is not. Besides the love triangle she's so very dissimilar.
ReplyDeleteThawne pulled a face change, just not with Barry
ReplyDeleteYes. Yes he did. He took Wells' face OFF.
ReplyDeleteWhat an episode!! Once again feel like a broken record here. After last weeks luke warm episode this week Flash is back with a bang.
ReplyDelete- My Fringe heart.
ReplyDeleteBarry gave his identity away to trickster? How did I miss that?
ReplyDeleteEddie's facial expressions when he looked at Barry after he lied to Iris was very telling. He is more insecure now. Tommy was very innocent on Arrow. Eddie till now is very likable but he is a cop and much tougher than Tommy. So who knows how he will react.
I don't think he give it away but using his normal voice to the trickester he (the trickester) should know it it Barry Allen behind the mask
ReplyDeleteOh. I didn't even notice that. This is the Arrow/Flash universe. We are supposed to ignore such inconsistencies. Only Iris and Henry requires voice scrambling. We are supposed to believe others are not smart enough or close enough to Barry to recognize his voice.
ReplyDeletehaha I liked this episode a lot. Its a little bit sad now that Barry doesn't trust Wells because during the this season he has done well by him. But I guess it was time for the big reveal. I can kinda see what may happen during the Climax of the season now, one thing is sure, it will be linked to the location of the Star labs.
ReplyDeleteThe real Wells had a good thing going with his wife, the two seemed happy, so I guess there is a little peace in that he didn't have to suffer much.
ReplyDeleteTo be far, the guy was emotional as hell. Actually most people get that voice thing. And it's not like Barry's the only guy with a highish voice in Central City. Tons of people sound the same. And most importantly he's an insane psychopath with no proof assuming he would even know.
ReplyDeleteI asked a comic book question on the thread for the title for the flash finale. Can you check it out?
ReplyDeleteAh okay. Lol, second though your comment reminded me of of clip from Lois and Superman where this time traveller mocks Lois for being fooled by glasses.
ReplyDeletenow what do we call him, because he's literally NOT Harrison Wells
ReplyDeletehow beautiful was that scene?! i didn't realize the Fringe referenced until now! LOL
ReplyDeleteone of the best!
ReplyDeleteEobard Thawne. That's his name. Or if you want Reverse Wells.
ReplyDeleteFor me Cavanagh is still Wells.
ReplyDeleteMaybe in time I will think of him as Reverse Flash or Eobard, but right now I still think of him as Harrison Wells.
Yes, I know the real Wells died, but everyone in this timeline knows him as Wells. Plus, referring to him as Wells makes it easier if Matt Letscher makes more appearances as Eoibard Thawne in flashbacks or flashforwards......
*Shrug*
no, NEVER calling him that idiotic generic name. I'll call Eobard Thawne or Professor Zoom
ReplyDeletethe 25 century is weird, who calls a kid EOBARD? LOL
ReplyDeleteIs the name of Iris' newspaper really Central City Picture News?
ReplyDeletei think because Zoom is from the future he knows everything about well everything so it wouldn't be that hard to pretend to be Harrison Wells
ReplyDeleteyou know when Henry was asking Barry how it felt when he runs, i was wishing that John Wesley Shipp played Jay Garrick. But i know back then they didn't even know that they were making another The Flash show in 2015 LOL and yeah Eddie has a hell of a family tree, lets see how psychotic the ANCESTOR of the Thawne family is if his descendant took ANOTHER man's face!
ReplyDeleteSomeone who wanted their kid to be evil. So a Thawne.
ReplyDeleteHA! nice
ReplyDeleteI'd like that, but I love Henry too much.
ReplyDeleteyeah i guess but COME ON how crazy would it be?!
ReplyDeleteIt's a easter egg to the Silver age Flash run.
ReplyDeleteHe couldn't be Jay then.
ReplyDeleteYep. Totally thought about Fringe right then.
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't really work. If the shows were in the same universe he'd be Barry. But even if they weren't he'd be married to Joan, is a chemist not a doctor and Barry would have been born with a Speed Force connection. And Barry was born 25 years ago. I hope Jay appears one day, but don't think it would happen like that.
ReplyDeleteYep. I think Berlanti might have written for him. I know Geoff Johns (not one of the creators, but he's an executive producer and writer for the show) wrote huge stuff like Rebirth.
ReplyDeletecool
ReplyDeleteyeah i guess it's just wishful thinking
ReplyDeleteawww that scene was beautiful. Now I'm gonna cry :(
ReplyDeleteAwesome episode, and we finally have seen the real face of the Reverse Flash.
ReplyDeleteMe too. Once they all figure out his secret and he leaves STAR labs he won't be as involved in the show.
ReplyDeleteI really really enjoyed him. He is super awesome. Now I want to see stuff where the guy has done some sane character.
ReplyDeleteThe old flash show will never be connected. John Wesley Shipp was Barry there. But Henry being Jay Garrick is quite possible. His questions and reactions to Barry's ability made me wonder if he could be older Flash?
ReplyDeleteNot much of an issue for me. The Flash is so comic booky I would gulp in anything that they serve just like Superman. You need to accept such stuff to enjoy these shows. Now on Arrow I am very critical about secret identities and masks. That's why I got so annoyed when Laurel told Ted Grant she used to date Arrow.
ReplyDeleteHow did not-Wells know how to build a particle accelerator?
ReplyDeleteAnd did they really steal from Hunger Games, Fringe, and Speed all in one episode?
It's kind of a "cynical" name for a newspaper in the death of print modern age.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm just enjoying The Flash more than Arrow at the moment. Loved S1 & 2 of Arrow, S3 is very messy with too much of the focus on everyone else and not enough on Oliver's journey!!!
ReplyDeleteNot-Wells hahahahahaha
ReplyDeleteHis future computer helped him.
I love that everyone caught that Fringe similarity :D
ReplyDeleteI can't spell Eobarblahblahblah ;-(
ReplyDeleteYou actually got it right minus the D Lol but I do like not-Wells. It has a nice ring to it lol
ReplyDeleteIt took me a while to memorize it too. Eobard
Tempest?
ReplyDeleteThis episode was made of awesome.
ReplyDeleteI'm also glad that Barry came clean with Eddie and that we got back story on Eobard/Wells. Again I will say, this episode was made of awesome. After the preview for upcoming episodes, I can't wait for the next one.
what am I thinking?? what?? 1x23, aka Finale WILL BE EPIC, MIND-BLOWIN etc.. :D
ReplyDeleteYEP, sadly he died in 2000.. :( but he was a great, good man.
ReplyDelete3 people thought this Ep was awful.. what is wrong with you?? :D
ReplyDeleteHis dad already knew, so no surprise for him.
ReplyDeleteI didn't give a crap about the trickster crap, but the rest of the episode is pretty good. I feel bad for real Wells.
ReplyDeleteHis dad already figured it out....in an earlier episode.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a bad idea to reveal his identity to Eddie....now Eddie has to lie to Iris all the time too....what was the point of that? Just to lie about Mason Bridge...really didn't make too much sense...so much for secret identity
ReplyDeleteRemember..the producers took everything they learned from 2 seasons of Arrow to make the Flash better....we have to give kudos where they belong...if it weren't for Arrow, Flash wouldn't be this good.
ReplyDeleteDear God, I can only think at this point Iris not knowing Barry's secret is RIDICULOUS and the writers are keeping her in the dark just for the sake of conflict.
ReplyDeleteEverybody is lying to Iris because that's supposed to protect her. Soooo, what will happen when Wells realize what Eddie, Joe and Barry are up to? Who may he threaten?
IRIS.
So hey, she must not know the truth so that she won't be warned when/if something bad happens.
Again, this is fucking ridiculous.
Huh, I regard season 3 as Oliver's final ordeal or the breaking if the Arrow and death so he could become something better and really decide who he is: Green Arrow.
ReplyDeleteFringe is one of my all time favorite shows.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad all the secrets are off this season. Now if Iris also finds out Barry's identity then things would be awesome.
ReplyDeleteOMG!! I don't have often read spoilers for this show as I am more into Gotham but I have loved Mark Hamill's acting since Star Wars, I went nuts over the BTAS went he was Joker as a life long Bats fan so basically I'm a huge fan of his talent as an actor.
ReplyDeleteSo in saying that I had no idea that he was playing a villian in this show, I didn't recognise him at all and when they did that I am your father scene funny enough I thought of Star Wars and the whole Luke I am your father scene.
Well he is really good at it.
ReplyDeleteDitto. Odds are she'll find out on her own by the end of the season.
ReplyDeleteIris should be told the truth not Eddie.....we know Eddie will be bad.... it seem like a typical trying to protecting daughter for her safety trend like any other father/daughter duo
ReplyDeletethe episode itself was fun but the bodyswitching thing was really...weird to me
ReplyDeleteLoved Mark Hamills hammy performance though
Oh it's weird. But I expect no less from Thawne. He probably wanted to use it on future Barry knowing him.
ReplyDeleteIf they learned anything from Arrow she will.
ReplyDeleteOn paper I get where they are going with this season but it feels like they have tried to shove all the storylines that they should probably have alluded to in some form last season into this and Oliver's journey has become sidelined to an extent this season. Each to their own opinion the season feels a little off for me but hopefully these last few episodes will fix that.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! Excellent writing!
ReplyDeleteYaaaaaaaaaaay!!!
ReplyDeleteI was looking for you!!!
*doing victory dance*
Now I'm really curious as to the rest of the enigma *_*
The best surprise of the episode: Cool way to take someone's life, figuratively and for real!!!
Second surprise: Eddie knows. WHAT THE F***!
Loved eveything about the trickster nd all the easter eggs with both the actors and the first show Flash. So cool!!
God, I need more!!!
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
ReplyDeleteThats all I have to say!
I am not convinced fully that Wells is fully dead. I am thinking that the switch may have switched more than just faces/bodies. It could of added Wells' personality too or memories. Changing the original Eobard Thawne slightly?
ReplyDeleteone of the showrunners said that Wells' love for Tess and probably more were absorbed when Thawne absorbed Wells. So anytime he talked about Tess and was emotional, that was all true and probably the same with the bonds he's made with Team Flash
ReplyDeleteOh stop gloating. So do you think Eobard was a future scientist? If not how can he impersonate Wells this much? He has to be a mad scientist himself right?
ReplyDeleteEddie is such a wild card now. I have no idea how he is going to act in next episodes. His look when he looked at Barry at the end was so conflicted.
he's a Thwane, and we see a pretty bad scene in the promo with him and two cops
ReplyDeletei like the darker look, so i didn't like it
ReplyDeleteI know. But how do we get from our Eddie to that Eddie. It boggles my mind. He is such a likable character now.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely BRILLIANT. ... then we get to the 42 min mark and the LYING LIARS WHO LIE just left a bad taste in my mouth and literally ruined one of the best eps this half of the season for me. Please please please make it stop.
ReplyDeleteI liked this episode, I loved that part where Barry saved his dad and took him to STAR Labs, then they had to say goodbye.
ReplyDeleteUsing Fringe as an aspiration. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI can't remember the episode, but some time last year, Barry and his dad had a conversation about Barry being the Flash. HIs dad pieced it together after Barry intervened (as the Flash) in a prison incident ...or something to that extent. Even though Barry denied that he was the Flash, it was clear that his Dad didn't believe the denials.
ReplyDeleteAmazing episode. The Wells story definitely took my by surprise!
ReplyDelete
