OMG! Just wow i am wordless right now....that would be my reaction if i actually saw the episode lol but i ididnt and will be back on Thursday after i see Arrow and Flash together lol
Such a great episode of The Flash. Had an intriguing villain. The shapeshifter was pretty badass. When Barry injected him with the serum it reminded me of when Mystique lost her powers in Xmen the last stand. Caitlin kissing him back was weird. She's gonna feel guilty and awkward around Barry now. So glad the Team Flash a.k.a Team Take Down Reverse Flash are getting closer and closer to taking Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne down
I thought Wells installed a personalized access scan to the door entrance into his secret lair. So how was Barry able to open the door? Am I missing something?
Wow!!! Ok I liked everything that didn't take place in Starling City. I thought I would like it and I didn't. Joe "subtly" giving Quentin advice about Laurel, and he just easily scooping it up, just made me roll my eyes. I'm not even gonna start on Cisco and Laurel. I hated the promo with that and watching the entire scene made it worse not better. Just Ughhhh. I hated every bit of that "crossover bit". The entertainment was in Central City so let's go there.
I enjoyed Barry and Eddie's scene tracking down the shape shifter. That scene with them uncomfortably sitting on the couch was LOL funny! I love when they both got up and adjusted their clothes. Barry trying to act like a regular person, run like a regular person, was great. Lol That didn't last long though when he went to check on Eddie. I thought I would enjoy Eddie's speech with the whole, "you are The Flash. Get me free the right way." But afterwards it just felt wrong. I couldn't cheer. It just felt off. I still haven't adjusted to the fact that he knows, I still wish Barry didn't tell him. Speaking of wrong......
Ewwwww!!!! That Barry/Caitlin kiss was disgusting!!! Omg it was gross on so many levels. That was hard to watch. My stomach literally turned. Just soooo......yuck! I literally got nauseous. Please Caitlin hurry up and get married to Ronnie please. I'm thinking this kiss sped up that process. Yuck yuck. (Shivers) ok...got that out the way.
That fight scene was awesome!!! And Shape shifter Iris kicked ass!!! She's really agile!! (Candice) I liked it. I liked it a lot. Then Barry went all Ninja on Shape shifter Eddie. LOL There was no holding back. Sent that boy flying! Same with Shape Shifter Caitlin! Definitely got a little taste of Killer Frost with that little scene. Damn I can't wait til they go that route with her. I will love every minute of it.
The scene with Joe and Wells was very chilling. I couldn't tell who was investigating who. It was like a game of chess. And then that zoom out shot of Joe and Wells in the elevator. I felt all types of nervous watching that.
THAT ENDING THOUGH!! HOLY SHIT!!! TEAM FLASH IS AWESOME!!! I felt Sooo bad for them though, their lives were just turned upside down. All 3 of them! And Barry seeing that paper, damn that killed me. His face! Wow. That was seriously the best part of the episode for me. It was really intense. Episode as a whole, it was good. But not great. But I enjoyed it-ish. It was A THOUSAND TIMES better than last week. I'll definitely say that. Smh (just thinking about it messed up my mood a little just now)
I liked the episode.Certainly an improvement over last week *shudders*.
Things I liked:
- The scene with Barry and Eddie on the couch. I was laughing so much I could barely hear what they were saying lol. I like the partnership between Barry and Eddie but something that scene and the speech felt weird to me. - FINALLY someone told Iris something! Next step telling her who is the Flash. - Believe it or not I actually liked Evil Barry lol he was funny and dun. - Iris and Caitlin need more scenes together but without someone lying to Iris! Bates was smart though pretending to be a little girl. Also Shapeshifter Iris had some moves (looking good Candice). Also DP is really killing it in the "evil" scenes. - The police now know about metahumans. We are getting closer to getting Henry out of Jail. - Cool fight between the Scarlet Speedster and the Flash. It reminded me of the Oliver/Barry fight, even had the same score. - The team finally finding out that Wells is not Wells. - Barry/Cisco/Caitlin discovering the secret room and seeing the newspaper from the future. How did they open the room though? And what was that blue light scanning them? I think it sent an alert to Eobard that someone entered the room.
Things I didn't like:
- Everything Laurel related. She shouldn't be this excited! The only reason she became BC was because her sister died! Hardly a reason for celebration. Also did I miss the episode when she took down criminals without Roy or Oliver saving her?! And seriously "Canary Cry"! Too much. - I tried to enjoy Quentin's scenes; I really did but I can't look at his face. And they are making Laurel look like the victim and he is the horrible monster who can't forgive her? - That awful Snowbarry kiss! It was the most uncomfortable thing I've seen in a while and things between them are weird. UGH! Most of their scenes were uncomfortable. Also side note DP needs act less with her hands. I MISS RONNIE! - That last scene between Joe and Eobard was chilling. I kept expecting Eobard to get up and reveal himself.
Almost everything in Starling City was solid except for most things Quentin. Cisco and Laurel were good but I'm hoping if they ever share screen time again he can dial back the fanboy stuff and be more like a colleague.
The shapeshifter stuff back in Central City was mostly an annoying game of Whack-A-Mole. It did bring up a fair share of fun moments but not enough to change my mind about shifter storylines. I can still do without them.
All in all, it was a decent episode and a damn sight better than last week's team-up episode.
The part I liked about the shapeshifter towards the end was seeing Panabaker and Patton act like villains and get a few kicks in. It was more funny than cool, but it worked for me.
Idk with everything going on, he seemed way too chipper. Too easy going. When he was explaining his situation to Joe it was cliff notes but still felt a little...idk nonchalant. Easy breezy. And his whole demeanor around Laurel felt different than how it's been. It just felt off. For me.
To me, that's just the difference between the two shows. Flash is just a much lighter show than Arrow even at its darkest. If "Arrow" Quentin showed up on The Flash he'd probably scare the sh*t out of everyone.
No i can differeniate the two shows just fine. It's the characters that change, (sometimes) that I don't like that. It's not always noticeable. So I can deal. But I don't like when my characters feel "off" just too fit the lightness of this show. It hasn't been like that at all since recently. Like last week!! That was atrocious. That wasn't Arrow or Flash, that was...that was "Atom". Seriously. Just no. Never again.
Heh. What both shows are doing with Ray Palmer is a different subject altogether. Being a recurring character is one thing but that guy has basically hijacked both shows for entire episodes.
Yep. But Caitlin also kissed him right back. There was also the usual cute bonding moments between them, and some hand holding between Caitlin and the real Barry.
There was a blue light scanning?? I didn't even see that. I'll watch it again. I don't mind Eddie saying he worked with The Flash, just as long as that's all he said. I mean basically that's the truth. So now he can shut up. It's Barry's job to do the rest. Omg that f*cking picture, i forgot about it as soon as it was shown. I wanted to burn it. As far as Barry and Caitlin, lLol Idt things are "weird between them" I think things are weird for her. B/c Barry has no idea what happened. But I think her "ackwardness" will go away by next episode tops. She's not gonna dwell on it, it was nothing to dwell over. I actually cracked up when she jumped back and was all "There's no need for a hug or anything" LOL she was just as uncomfortable as the rest of us. LOL I was wondering how Barry opened the room, I just chucked it up to a "speedster" thing. Shrugs.
An improvement from last episode. I give a good. Not a solid awesome for this one. - The crossover with Starling city was fine. I wish this had happened before public enemy. I would have enjoyed it much better. Laurel is way too happy like Felicity last episode considering Thea just died or Roy became a fugitive. Quentin looked ooc with his current mindset. I wish there was no crossovers during this half of the season. - Cisco/Laurel scenes was fun though. - Eddie told Iris he is working with the Flash. Finally. Someone revealed something to her - I liked all the characters being Hannibal Bates. Especially Barry. He was so much fun. Reminded me of Grant's Glee days. Loved to see Eddie and Iris with different emotions on their face - Fake Barry/Caitlin kiss. Caitlin was so funny after that. - Loved that the police and DA are aware of the meta human problem and is so comfortable with the Flash. - Wells is on to all of them. He is aware of everything that is happening around him. - Yes Cisco "WHAT THE FRACK?" indeed. - Iris's mother name drop. I guess we will touch it next season
What I disliked - The cgi for shape shifting was average. - Eddie's pep talk for Barry did not ring true. I don't know what about that scene it did not work for me.
Over all a good set up episode. Caitlin got the proof she needed and they found the secret room. Cool day for Scarlet Speedster.
CAITLIN KISSED BARRY'S FACE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHE KISSED WHO SHE THOUGHT WAS BARRY ALLEN BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that last scene with Barry, Caitlin and Cisco was INSANE!!!!! now they know they're dealing with a time traveling speedster
Okay, so Gideon had to have let Barry into the secret room, right? The lights came on, the newspaper showed up....usually Eobard Thawne's hand scan only did that. Did Gideon want Barry to find out? Or did Thawne want Barry to find out?
Also, this episode.....is probably set after Arrow's "The Fallen"? Both Lance and Laurel seemed way too...chippy after what's been going on, lol.
Pretty fun episode overall. Nice to see the team finally get some concrete proof that Wells is not who he says he is and is someone else entirely. Cisco's "What the frack?!" indeed. The Cisco/Laurel scenes were hilarious and I love how much he was fanboying when she admitted that she is the Black Canary XD And awww at the picture of Black Canary and Cisco! He looked so happy :) Everyman was such a clever and cool villain. And Eddie/Barry bonding was one of the highlights for me. It was nice. Oooh, we are getting hints about Iris' mother. Very interesting...
Loved Cisco's Photo with Black Canary lol, good one bud. It would of been funny if Laurel gave a selfie.
Glad the revelation is out on Wells as the Reverse Flash, and the Team learning of the secret room and the future headline! That will be something to ponder on for them. And for Barry it will be like where da hell am I in the future.
I also liked how Wells at the end talked about the secret club the indication about Iris.
I really liked it! Hell of an episode. Hannibal Bates was so great loved every tidbit of it. It was intense, enjoyable, mysterious and well layered. The kiss between fake Barry and Caitlin was interesting, funny and awkward. Barry not being into hitting fake Iris and Caitlin was sweet. Nice work from Candice and Danielle. I'm so glad Rick is getting more and more scenes, Eddie is becoming a likeable character. Way to go Eobard by name dropping Iris's mom. Everything that happened in Starling was great. Cisco fanboyed a bit to much but still it was purely him. Loved the Vibe insinuations and that selfie was marvelous. Can't wait for the Canary cry to be used, I assume it will be in the Nyssa episode. Joe and Quentin were building up a bromance and it was great.
- I wasn't too big on the Everyman part of the episode. - I'm so happy that Caitlin got more to do this episode. - Pizza delivery for the strategy session was just so...The Flash. - Caitlin freaking out every time she gets near Barry after the kiss was great. True adorkable Caitlin. - Why was there tachyons at the crash site? - The Canary Cry. - The fan photo. - I did like the look of Everyman after he tried to become his regular self.
the villain of the week wasn't very interesting. but a shapeshifter is good for promo scenes (Barry vs Barry, Eddie shooting cops, Barry and Caitlin kissing, Iris hurt). good that there's always some Eobard stuff, that makes the show. I hope they come up with a big twist for the finale.
I am not sure about that. I just feel he is not as okay with Barry being Flash as he is showing to Joe and Barry. I have a feeling he is extremely jealous of Barry.
I am not sure. I don't think he does. But then again remember that punch from Eddie to Barry. Some discussion about Barry's feelings for Iris happened between Eddie and her which were not shown to us. So who knows if Eddie is aware of Iris and Flash's shenanigans? They don't think its necessary for us to see those stuff.
That he does. Didn't he warn her against her obsession for the Flash? I don't remember. Iris when she broke up with Flash in Flash vs Arrow said her father and boyfriend warned her against trusting the Flash. So they must have conversations regarding the same.
Yup,....I'm bracing myself for another annoying ship-war. I was hoping that this show would have avoided the love triangle angle, because it has so much more going for it, but I guess they can't resist.
- No it felt off, something about it didn't sit well with me. He's struggling with working with Barry and now he's giving him pip talks, and the camerawork was a little wonky. - I agree. - I do too because it was so random and if they went through the trouble to make it then it must be relevant. - Exactly. The characters are way too happy and light and it doesn't go with anything that's happening on Arrow no matter after which episode. It was ridiculous to give it to her on the Flash and calling it the canary cry right off the bat was a little on the nose. Do you think things between Palmer and Laurel are better now for him to give her that device? If he made his peace with TA does that include their stand off? Also people now ship Cisco and Laurel! Seriously what's wrong with people? They even shipped her with Roy after 3x11 and now with Nyssa!! You know it is possible for two human beings to interact without romanticizing their scenes! It's like the people who ship Barry and Eddie! Seriously? Quentin and Laurel are both wrong and you know I was actually one of the few people who agreed with her at first but after she impersonated Sara I was livid. Yeah Quentin's actions are extreme and irrational but his anger towards Laurel is justified he just took it to another level. And he doesn't want Laurel to end up like Sara that's why he's wiling to put her in jail I guess. I can't tell what that man in thinking these days. - I didn't like it, it made me uncomfortable. Yeah I enjoyed evil Barry (Grant really shines as a bad guy lol) and it was a little funny when he had no idea what was going on or when he saw Iris "Yes, her" lol but I was way to uncomfortable to really enjoy the scene. I'm glad too they didn't hint at feelings from Caitlin, but the whole thing was really unnecessary. - It wasn't a negative. I didn't like it because it scared me. I'm scared for Joe. I kept waiting for Eobard to get up and kidnap him but then I remembered the promotional photos but still the scene was bone-chilling. And Eobard mentioning Iris' mom made me worried. He's going after Iris.
Cisco being cisco naming the device as canary cry made sense. I didn't mind that. Even without saying it on screen we all would have called it canary cry device any way. SO whatever. Its not that Palmer and Laurel are close. They could have used 3x21 tolet Palmer and Laurel work together in field along with Diggle to save Nyssa. Let Laurel use one of the canary cry bombs of Sara. At the end of the episode Palmer can give her the collar saying this will help you more in the field. That would enhance both Palmer and Laurel and it would have been way better than shoe horning these two crossovers. Also things like this should happen on Arrow imo.
The Quentin/Laurel dynamics is so messed up now a days. Both are wrong. But for me currently the scales tip against Quentin more. What irritates me the most in this whole mess is no one from the show ever pointed out the fact that keeping Quentin in the dark is a really bad idea. Also it is difficult to swallow that none of them Diggle, Roy or Felicity felt that Laurel's deception is the cause for all the nonsense that is happening to Team Arrow. I am not asking for them to blame her but an acknowledgement that lot of the mess can be avoided by doing the responsible thing would have been appreciated. Instead we see Oliver taking responsibility for another thing he had no part in.
Evil Barry reminded me so much of Sebastian Smythe from Glee. He was my favorite. Dude was funny. Was the SnowBarry kiss unnecessary? Yes. But it was really funny for me. My guess is evil Barry was planning to distract her and then steal the serum from her. But Iris interrupted him.
If Eobard goes after Iris before Iris knows the truth about everything I will be pissed at Barry, Joe and Eddie forever. They know Wells is dangerous. Yet they don't think they should warn Iris against him and the potential threat he is for her? She walks in confidently inside STAR labs thinking that place is filled with friends. Joe is the biggest idiot I have seen. And I say that after seeing all the terrible lies on Arrow.
Also why is Iris not bothered by Mason's disappearance? Why is she not looking into it? And when did she became such an expert in hacking that she could hack CCPD evidence and get Eddie's shooting footage? So much plot convenience going on here.
About the crossover: I loved Cisco giving Laurel the Canary Cry, it was precious. Joe advising Quentin in parenting was sweet (and it was nice to not hate Quentin for a change) but I wish this developments were made on Arrow, not on Flash.
When did Iris become an expert in hacking? She hacked into CCPD. I forgot about this because we got a bit of Iris and Eddie this episode. Also why is she not looking into Mason Bridge's disappearance?
All in all I liked all the scenes if I forget everything that happened last two episodes on Arrow. But the timing of the crossover is really bad. Laurel should be extremely sad about Thea or Roy. Also Quentin is like a live wire on Arrow struggling with his rage for the past two episodes. This episode felt ooc to me. Love Quentin though. I am bitter Laurel got the device on Flash. They should have used Palmer to give it to her during the next Arrow episode.
From the moment Bates became evil Barry I was laughing like crazy. All the Caitlin scenes. His reaction to Iris "Oh her". LMAO. Also loved the evil versions of the ladies. They clearly had some fun.
The whole Quentin thing is annoying and it treats audience like fools.
Is Iris actually investigating Wells. The only time she did was in the alternate timeline when Mason shared his doubts about Simon Stagg with her. Then Barry went back in time. In this time line Mason did not share that tidbit with Iris and we were never shown her doubting Wells. That is why I am worried for her and am angry at Joe. She would trust Wells because as far as Iris knows Wells is Barry's friend.
If Iris had said I had one guy who I know hack into CCPD it would have been so much better. Reporters usually knows one or two shady people to get info.
She told Caitlin that her colleague had a folder with photos about unexplained cases and one of the photos was of... she obviously was going to say Wells.
Making sense is not how the roll on the Arrowverse.
I'll quote myself "Making sense is not how the roll on the Arrowverse." He didn't even ask for an explanation as to who that body is and how does it out Iris in danger. The whole thing was a plot device to shoehorn some fatherly feelings.
Not only is it terrible to have such a big character development on another show, but I hope they explain how and where she got the cry on Arrow. It'll be weird for the audience of the actual show she's on to have no clue about what exactly that device is.
Nope. Don't think so. Why would he want to give up all his secrets like that even if he wants to kill them all. Also Barry's speed is the key for Eobard. So he needs to extend this charade as long as possible till Barry reaches the optimum speed for his cause.
But only people in exclusive clubs with speed force membership can open the door. Unlike Arrow cave where every tom, Dick, Merly, Slade, Nyssa and Captain Boomerang can enter.
They will slap on a "Previously on Arrow" (which did not happen on Arrow) and be done with it. Maybe Laurel will mention to Nyssa she got it from a friend in CC.
True. They have lot of time. We should never forget Captain Cold who knows Barry's identity and knows Caitlin and Cisco are working together. He can saunter in whenever he wants.
Iris was certainly fishing for info from Caitlin. I think when Wells told Iris we will handle the meta human that tipped her off. Why would they want to handle a powered guy. I hope we see her following up on this thread at least.
I somewhat agree, but the scene sort of cut right after, there might be a lot of times when its implied that the conversation last a lot longer offscreen. Maybe they didn't wanna spend time with Joe explaining everything to Lance, and later on he explained it further.
Laurel and Cisco were awesome. I thought they flowed well together and bounced off each other perfectly. Canary Cry is from the comics by the way, and maybe in some second particle explosion that device will fuse within her, giving her the actual ability. Most probably will happen when Snow becomes Killer Frost.
I hope Atom appears more, especially with Felicity. They work as a couple. Besides we all know Oliver will end up with Laurel. Its comic book lore and in every incarnation they are married. They need to end this Olicity shit, and bring Arrow back to what it used to be in Season 1 and 2. Back then it was almost as awesome and epic as Batman Begins was.
Cisco: Please tell me that's not what I think it is. Quentin: OK, that is definitely a hand. Cisco: OK see I thought it was a foot abut a hand is just as bad.
Yeah, but I guess they felt that wasnt as important as other action scenes, which I do agree with. I don't want to keep hearing the same explanation told again and again by each character. I understand when things are implied so I guess Im ok on that front lol And that kiss was disgusting. I hope they are not doing stupid olicity crap like they are here. That couple is so forced and unconfortable to watch. I was so happy when Atom arrived. Hopefully Flash sticks with Barry and Iris.
Nice to see Laurel smile and have a little fun. It's great that she got the "Canary cry", and Cisco named it! Although I thought with the revelation last week of supers existing outside of Central city that she would get infected some how, like on Smallville with the meteor rocks.
As much as I like the fight sequences, after the ep where Flash snatched Weather Wizard from his home directly to jail, they feel a little pointless. I get that it'd be boring if Flash took down everyone as quickly. I just can't shake that Wizard scene. Super speed must be tough to choreograph fight scenes for, since realistically a fight should end in seconds.
I loved Cisco and Laurel together. They are so cute. I figured out why Cisco could remember the other timeline. He is a Meta Human too. I mean he was exposed as was Barry and Caitin too. He just has not manifested his powers yet.
The big thing that bothered me is no one called Joe to tell him his partner was facing attempted murder charges!?!?! Seriously? C'mon...not even Iris...that's a pretty big thing to overlook.
And Eddie is getting way too comfortable working with the Flash...lol..for someone who was hunting him down a short while ago, he's taking great advantage of him...I really like it when cops act like cops and don't rely on superfriends to help...kind of denotes them in my eyes to sidekick status...sigh
I know many disagree with me but even though I like Oliver and Felicity's scenes, I'm not a fan of Olicity. I wish writers weren't influenced by fans. I appreciate it when writers do what they always meant to do, even if that meant losing chadacters I love (for example The Shield's Lem death).
Don't need life altering moments. Just better plot and story lines that are not all over the place, and maybe more original, instead of stealing from Batman so much, and actually delve more into GA mythos. Oh man, you too? Lol I hate your community ahaha. We will never agree. But just remember, Oliver and Laurel do end up together in almost every incarnation. They are like Clark and Lois.
I was thinking this episode of the Flash happened before the last episode of Arrow. That's one way it would explain the lighter mood. But, I really enjoyed the Laurel and Cisco scenes, the last time Laurel was so happy was when she was with Tommy in the flashback episode.
Dude, I don't freaking like you!!!! I f*cking hate you!!! How many times do I have to tell you that???? TAKE THE HINT! Stop following me around. Leave me the hell alone!!! Stoppppp talkinggggggg toooo meeeeeeee!!!! WTF?!?! BACK OFF!
I know. I was just saying I hope that's all he says b/c he shouldn't say anything else. When she slapped him that was hilarious. He woke up like wth!! LOL And maybe Wells didn't know? Or maybe he purposely set it up as a trap and changed the device so Barry could enter it?? Maybe it's some twisted evil plan??? = / idk.
Never :) Felicity has become one of the worst things that has happened to Arrow. Hopefully Laurel will take the spotlight again. Don't let your obsessions cloud your judgements Shannon.
The kiss was weird indeed. Funny how no one seems to care that she was [and is] engaged when kissed him back. It was a shady moment for Caitlin but no one seems to be acknowledging that. Not how I imagined snowberry fans would want "seeds to be planted".
Agreed about Barry and Iris. There is so much to work off of with those two, they are magical together onscreen. WestAllen has a solid fan base but Iris also has a number of haters out there. We'll see what happens. Here's to hoping the writers stick to canon.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
OMG! Just wow i am wordless right now....that would be my reaction if i actually saw the episode lol but i ididnt and will be back on Thursday after i see Arrow and Flash together lol
ReplyDeleteAnd just like that the Flash makes me drop my jaw on the floor once again!

ReplyDeletewhat did the promo look like

ReplyDeleteI liked the episode.Certainly an improvement over last week *shudders*.

Felt like it a bit to me. I kinda got a little vibe, tbh.
ReplyDeleteI just chalk that up to Quentin not being around Oliver at the time.
ReplyDeleteI love the Cisco/Laurel scenes, so fun to watch
ReplyDeleteThe part I liked about the shapeshifter towards the end was seeing Panabaker and Patton act like villains and get a few kicks in. It was more funny than cool, but it worked for me.
ReplyDeleteThat's what saved that aspect of the episode for me - The Flash made sure to have a little fun with the concept and let the actors play around a bit.
ReplyDeleteIdk with everything going on, he seemed way too chipper. Too easy going. When he was explaining his situation to Joe it was cliff notes but still felt a little...idk nonchalant. Easy breezy. And his whole demeanor around Laurel felt different than how it's been. It just felt off. For me.
ReplyDeleteTo me, that's just the difference between the two shows. Flash is just a much lighter show than Arrow even at its darkest. If "Arrow" Quentin showed up on The Flash he'd probably scare the sh*t out of everyone.
ReplyDeleteNo i can differeniate the two shows just fine.
ReplyDeleteHeh. What both shows are doing with Ray Palmer is a different subject altogether. Being a recurring character is one thing but that guy has basically hijacked both shows for entire episodes.
ReplyDeleteI haven't watch yet, so I have to ask... The snowbarry kiss was the shapeshifter and Caitlin or not?
ReplyDeleteYep. But Caitlin also kissed him right back. There was also the usual cute bonding moments between them, and some hand holding between Caitlin and the real Barry.
ReplyDeleteI knew they would do that! they're such trolls!!! Poor Caitlin, how akward for her... Maybe in the future...
ReplyDeleteThere was a blue light scanning?? Shrugs.
ReplyDelete(Growls in anger).
ReplyDeleteI loved it I cannot believe what happened in this Episode. This was one of my favorite villian The Flash has faced better than Captain Cold.
ReplyDeleteAn improvement from last episode. I give a good. Not a solid awesome for this one.
ReplyDelete- The crossover with Starling city was fine.
Finally. Someone revealed something to her
- I liked all the characters being Hannibal Bates. Especially Barry. He was so much fun. Reminded me of Grant's Glee days. Loved to see Eddie and Iris with different emotions on their face
- Fake Barry/Caitlin kiss.
What I disliked
- The cgi for shape shifting was average.
ReplyDeleteyeah i also thought it was a biometric thing
ReplyDeleteOkay, so Gideon had to have let Barry into the secret room, right? The lights came on, the newspaper showed up....usually Eobard Thawne's hand scan only did that. Did Gideon want Barry to find out? Or did Thawne want Barry to find out?
ReplyDeleteAlso, this episode.....is probably set after Arrow's "The Fallen"? Both Lance and Laurel seemed way too...chippy after what's been going on, lol.
Actors were really having fun. I liked that.
ReplyDeletePretty fun episode overall.
ReplyDeleteLARISCO WAS SO ADORABLE!! Also, I'm in love with the more happy Laurel.
ReplyDeleteFracking awesome.
ReplyDeleteLoved Cisco's Photo with Black Canary lol, good one bud.
And Coast City home of Ferris!
I really liked it! Hell of an episode.
ReplyDeleteHannibal Bates was so great loved every tidbit of it.
ReplyDelete- I'm so happy that Caitlin got more to do this episode.
Awesome episode, Caitlin finally is convinced and i can't wait to see more. Are you kidding me they finally found it!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletethe villain of the week wasn't very interesting. but a shapeshifter is good for promo scenes (Barry vs Barry, Eddie shooting cops, Barry and Caitlin kissing, Iris hurt). good that there's always some Eobard stuff, that makes the show. I hope they come up with a big twist for the finale.
ReplyDeleteI think something's off with Eddie for some reason. Maybe he knows more than we thought we did.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure about that. I just feel he is not as okay with Barry being Flash as he is showing to Joe and Barry. I have a feeling he is extremely jealous of Barry.
ReplyDeleteDoes he know about the meetings Iris had with the Flash?
ReplyDeleteI am smelling a trap.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure.
ReplyDeleteWell he must know how Iris focused on the Flash in her blog right?
ReplyDeleteThat he does. Didn't he warn her against her obsession for the Flash? I don't remember. Iris when she broke up with Flash in Flash vs Arrow said her father and boyfriend warned her against trusting the Flash. So they must have conversations regarding the same.
ReplyDeleteYup,....I'm bracing myself for another annoying ship-war. I was hoping that this show would have avoided the love triangle angle, because it has so much more going for it, but I guess they can't resist.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was done in a fun way. It was freaking hilarious. Caitlin's expressions afterwards was so funny.
ReplyDelete- No it felt off, something about it didn't sit well with me. He's struggling with working with Barry and now he's giving him pip talks, and the camerawork was a little wonky.
ReplyDelete- I agree.
What trap? From Eobard? It was way too easy for them to get in and it was weird that Gideon showed them the newspaper.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get any romantic vibe at all from Barry and Caitlin, but the whole thing was super funny.
ReplyDeleteCisco being cisco naming the device as canary cry made sense.
ReplyDeleteThe Quentin/Laurel dynamics is so messed up now a days.
Me too. I thought she was extremely embarrassed. Ugh I should have known kind of thing. Her reactions were hilarious.
ReplyDeleteAbout the crossover: I loved Cisco giving Laurel the Canary Cry, it was precious. Joe advising Quentin in parenting was sweet (and it was nice to not hate Quentin for a change) but I wish this developments were made on Arrow, not on Flash.
ReplyDeleteWhen did Iris become an expert in hacking? She hacked into CCPD. I forgot about this because we got a bit of Iris and Eddie this episode. Also why is she not looking into Mason Bridge's disappearance?
ReplyDeleteWhat about when Iris arrived and Caitlin was clearly flustered, like she was caught with her hand in the jar. So funny. I love this cast.
ReplyDeleteAll in all I liked all the scenes if I forget everything that happened last two episodes on Arrow.
ReplyDeleteexactly.
ReplyDeleteFrom the moment Bates became evil Barry I was laughing like crazy. All the Caitlin scenes. His reaction to Iris "Oh her". LMAO. Also loved the evil versions of the ladies. They clearly had some fun.
ReplyDeleteOooh a trap. It would be fun.
ReplyDeleteMy guess was only people who can tap into speed force can open that door. Hence why the door opened when Barry touched the wall.
ReplyDeleteThis is like one of the only things Laurel fans were asking for: the Canary Cry. And they do it on another show. Just ughhhhh.
ReplyDeleteExactly. I get crossovers are good for viewership but this is an important step in Laurel becoming who she is. That should happen on Arrow.
ReplyDeleteThe whole Quentin thing is annoying and it treats audience like fools.
ReplyDeleteIs Iris actually investigating Wells.
ReplyDeleteMaking sense is not how the roll on the Arrowverse.
I'll quote myself "Making sense is not how the roll on the Arrowverse."
ReplyDeleteHe didn't even ask for an explanation as to who that body is and how does it out Iris in danger. The whole thing was a plot device to shoehorn some fatherly feelings.
Exactly why hated this and last week's crossover. Really unnecessary.
ReplyDeleteNot only is it terrible to have such a big character development on another show, but I hope they explain how and where she got the cry on Arrow. It'll be weird for the audience of the actual show she's on to have no clue about what exactly that device is.
ReplyDeleteNope. Don't think so. Why would he want to give up all his secrets like that even if he wants to kill them all. Also Barry's speed is the key for Eobard. So he needs to extend this charade as long as possible till Barry reaches the optimum speed for his cause.
ReplyDeleteyeah but we are only S1 on the Flash. The lair was a well kept secret in S1.
ReplyDeleteBut only people in exclusive clubs with speed force membership can open the door. Unlike Arrow cave where every tom, Dick, Merly, Slade, Nyssa and Captain Boomerang can enter.
ReplyDeleteThey will slap on a "Previously on Arrow" (which did not happen on Arrow) and be done with it. Maybe Laurel will mention to Nyssa she got it from a friend in CC.
ReplyDeleteTrue. They have lot of time. We should never forget Captain Cold who knows Barry's identity and knows Caitlin and Cisco are working together. He can saunter in whenever he wants.
ReplyDeleteAt least on Arrow Oliver wasnt as ridicilous with the secret.
ReplyDeleteYou're right. I guess I was still a little thrown off from the kiss lol but at least she knows something fishy is going on in STAR Labs.
ReplyDelete"Previously on Arrow" (which did not happen on Arrow) lol
ReplyDeletehow about "Previously in Starling City" haha
I'm trying to make sense of it because it's bothering me.
ReplyDelete"tom, Dick, " who are those people?
ReplyDeleteIris was certainly fishing for info from Caitlin. I think when Wells told Iris we will handle the meta human that tipped her off. Why would they want to handle a powered guy. I hope we see her following up on this thread at least.
ReplyDeleteYou know the cleaning lady and the guy who comes to take laundry.. the leathers don't clean themselves.
ReplyDeleteHer suspicions about the involvement of STAR Labs with metahumans started when Ronnie came back.
ReplyDeleteI hope so too.
ReplyDeleteBut leather needs dry cleaning.
ReplyDeleteThat kiss was horrendous. We actually agree on something lol.
ReplyDeleteI don't know lol What would it be a short for? Thomasa? hahahaha
ReplyDeleteMaybe they have a steamer, you don't know lol
ReplyDeleteI somewhat agree, but the scene sort of cut right after, there might be a lot of times when its implied that the conversation last a lot longer offscreen. Maybe they didn't wanna spend time with Joe explaining everything to Lance, and later on he explained it further.
ReplyDeleteLaurel and Cisco were awesome. I thought they flowed well together and bounced off each other perfectly. Canary Cry is from the comics by the way, and maybe in some second particle explosion that device will fuse within her, giving her the actual ability. Most probably will happen when Snow becomes Killer Frost.
ReplyDeleteI hope Atom appears more, especially with Felicity.
ReplyDeleteCisco: Please tell me that's not what I think it is.
ReplyDeleteQuentin: OK, that is definitely a hand.
Cisco: OK see I thought it was a foot abut a hand is just as bad.
Could be but they waste a lot of time on ridiculous things so sparing 2 minutes for an explanation would've been nice.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but I guess they felt that wasnt as important as other action scenes, which I do agree with.
ReplyDeleteNice to see Laurel smile and have a little fun. It's great that she got the "Canary cry", and Cisco named it! Although I thought with the revelation last week of supers existing outside of Central city that she would get infected some how, like on Smallville with the meteor rocks.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I like the fight sequences, after the ep where Flash snatched Weather Wizard from his home directly to jail, they feel a little pointless. I get that it'd be boring if Flash took down everyone as quickly. I just can't shake that Wizard scene. Super speed must be tough to choreograph fight scenes for, since realistically a fight should end in seconds.
I love Cisco!
ReplyDeleteSo the show would be a lot bitter and all the plot holes would disappear if Oliver is dating Laurel?
ReplyDeleteThe show is 23 episodes a season they can't all be life altering episodes and you do know that I'm an Olicity shipper, right?
ReplyDeleteI loved Cisco and Laurel together. They are so cute. I figured out why Cisco could remember the other timeline. He is a Meta Human too. I mean he was exposed as was Barry and Caitin too. He just has not manifested his powers yet.
ReplyDeleteThe big thing that bothered me is no one called Joe to tell him his partner was facing attempted murder charges!?!?! Seriously? C'mon...not even Iris...that's a pretty big thing to overlook.
ReplyDeleteAnd Eddie is getting way too comfortable working with the Flash...lol..for someone who was hunting him down a short while ago, he's taking great advantage of him...I really like it when cops act like cops and don't rely on superfriends to help...kind of denotes them in my eyes to sidekick status...sigh
No I think it is a speed force thing. This why Barry could access it.
ReplyDeleteI know many disagree with me but even though I like Oliver and Felicity's scenes, I'm not a fan of Olicity. I wish writers weren't influenced by fans.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate it when writers do what they always meant to do, even if that meant losing chadacters I love (for example The Shield's Lem death).
ReplyDeleteJoe really should have been in town for this episode
ReplyDeleteI was thinking this episode of the Flash happened before the last episode of Arrow. That's one way it would explain the lighter mood. But, I really enjoyed the Laurel and Cisco scenes, the last time Laurel was so happy was when she was with Tommy in the flashback episode.
ReplyDeleteDude, I don't freaking like you!!!! I f*cking hate you!!! How many times do I have to tell you that???? TAKE THE HINT! Stop following me around. Leave me the hell alone!!! Stoppppp talkinggggggg toooo meeeeeeee!!!! WTF?!?! BACK OFF!
ReplyDeleteI know. = / idk.
ReplyDelete*tired sigh*
ReplyDeleteNever :) Felicity has become one of the worst things that has happened to Arrow. Hopefully Laurel will take the spotlight again. Don't let your obsessions cloud your judgements Shannon.
ReplyDeleteWhy would I stop talking to you when this is so much fun?
ReplyDeleteI find myself liking the idea of Kaitlin and Barry, however, I realized that will probably never happen. She is just so much more likable than Iris.
ReplyDeleteThe kiss was weird indeed. Funny how no one seems to care that she was [and is] engaged when kissed him back. It was a shady moment for Caitlin but no one seems to be acknowledging that. Not how I imagined snowberry fans would want "seeds to be planted".
ReplyDeleteAgreed about Barry and Iris. There is so much to work off of with those two, they are magical together onscreen. WestAllen has a solid fan base but Iris also has a number of haters out there. We'll see what happens. Here's to hoping the writers stick to canon.
ReplyDelete
