Very nice close for this little show that could....It stayed true to itself to the very end and for a while there the way everyone talked to Jules like they were eulogizing her, I was worried that the close would be her memorial, but I'm so glad that didn't happen! Loved getting a last touch of Bobby Cobb for the finale, and kept hoping for even a cameo of Barb from the early seasons, and just for kicks maybe even Abed from Community, but this was a satisfying close for this show and even though my Tuesday watch load just got lighter, this show will be missed.... what? what? What? llol love that bit
Don't mind me I'm just sitting here crying. Cougar Town never got the love it deserved and though fan efforts helped its move to TBS the last few seasons never really garnered a lot of attention. But that doesn't matter because the people that stuck with it got to hang out with this silly wine drinking friends. I'm going to miss the show, especially as I've lost Parks and Recreation this year as well and they were both my feel good shows.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
That was a perfect series finale and I'm going to miss the show.
ReplyDeleteThat was so great. I have to admit that after all this show has been through it is so nice to see it last 6 seasons. I even cried at the end.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. It was so sweet and an amazing send-off.
ReplyDeleteOmg that was so good! And i totally cried at the end. I'm going to miss them so much. What a great 6 years it was.

ReplyDeleteGoodbye Cougar Town, terribly titled series, secretly wonderful show.
Great finale! Normally comedies end on a bittersweet note, with characters splitting off on their own.
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to see them all stay together.
Such a perfect finale. Lawrence and co knock it out of the park again.
ReplyDeleteGonna miss this show so much. Even when it wasn't it's best, it was still enough fun to tune in and watch each week.
With both Parks and CT gone now, I need to find a new comedy :(
Goodbye Cougar Town/Sunshine State, you'll be missed. I would say "Six seasons and a movie" but it had such a great ending!
