This episode sets up future storylines -- both for crossover and for the two final episodes of ChiFire -- and as such it was solid, even if not overly exciting.
Rice thing is fairly simple to me -- he's a single parent who cares about his kid a lot and is afraid of orphaning him. As such, he should quit being a firefighter, but maybe he just starts realizing that. I will be surprised if there's something else behind his ducking out of the situation. I wonder how far Severide will go in protecting him.
Casey's storyline doesn't interest me yet. The only thing that interests me is when he'll get over himself, and when will Gabby get over herself, and if it will happen simultaneously or will they pass each other by again (please no, it's getting tiring, they should move on to the next stage finally).
The crossover storyline -- I'll admit that it interests me the least. Kudos to the production team, writers, actors and everybody involved for pulling it off, but. All I hope for is that some of the Fire characters will appear in tomorrow's episode.
This episode was amazing for the fact that only 2 are left and so many story lines opened. 1. Welcome Chili...I'm going to love her I know it. 2. Rice...what the hell is going on?! I agree with Otis but he does tend to gossip. I'm looking forward to see how Severide & Casey are going to deal with it. I just hope that this will not split them apart again. 3. Obviously the introduction of the crossover, I'm sure it is going to be one of the best crossovers ever. 4. Casey and the strip club. The stripper wasn't convincing, something told me that she is not happy there...& I read something will unfold as of next week. I'm intrigued.
What hit me this ep was how much Dawson improved on the job, 2 great calls. Also, WOW Brett, Chicago sure did thicken her skin. She's so good on calls nowadays, not the scary paramed she was before.
I really don't want the Rice storyline. It's going to divide the house, and I hate that Severide and Casey are going to be at odds yet again. I'm definitely ready for Rice to leave. I like Chili, and I'm interested to see where her story goes, but I already miss Mills.
Rice seems to be holding back and shouldn't be a FF any more. Isn't the actress that plays Chili the same one that appeared in Chicago Pd, although she played a CI for Antonio, thought her name was jelly bean!!! And if I'm right the writers got the storyline right in saying she was in Kansas City! Looking forward to the controversy in the fire house, they need to be rialed up a bit. I like the strip club thing, it's fun to see characters out of the firehouse being themselves. Look forward to last two episodes! Wonder if Dawsey will get back together as Caseys life is threatened or if his perceived relationship with the blond stripper will interfere?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Wondering what Rice is hiding
ReplyDeleteI really can't wait to see how things play out with the whole Rice debacle.
ReplyDeleteNot sure how I feel about the new paramedic yet. Hopefully I'll warm up to her.
