  1. Wow! We'll have to wait a whole year for that. It was a very quiet and subdued season finale but it was still awesome. But I can't blame Paige for what she did.

  2. Great finale. I thought we'd get more resolution than that, but I liked the way the show went about it. That final sequence was brilliant, and I can't wait for season four. Another thing: this cast better get some Emmy love this year, or all will not be right with the world.

  3. Could Pastor Tim be a Communist in disguise though? That would be a pretty good cover.

  4. Yeah a lot of people are theorizing that he is but I'm not sure what to think of him yet. It would be pretty surprising if he actually was! A great plot twist.

  5. It was certainly interesting that this was the result if last season's "Get Paige Ready For Service" cliffhanger.

  6. The finale was pretty good, although I thought it was odd that there wasnt more to Martha's storyline than finding out Phillip "took care" of it.. She wasn't even in the episode! Not that I'm complaining... Would have been fine with her not seeing season 4.

Also I think its possible Paige didn't totally out her parents..all we heard her say was Russian..

For the most part I thought this season was 4 good episodes stretched into 13. I keep reading how great its been, someone out there must agree!

And if they don't put more effort into Nina's story next season I'd rather they drop it all together.

  7. The more I think about it the more I love it. I've come to the conclusion that too many people treat this show like a twisty-turny thriller like Homeland. As the multitude of slow-burn character-based episodes prove, it's more like Mad Men with spies and an actual plot (which is FAR from a bad thing and I like Homeland, too).

The final scene cutting between Henry/Stan, Phil/Liz/Reagan's speech, and Paige telling Pastor Tim was so brilliant. Because of all the psychological buildup (which has been the focus on this unusually action-lite season), this scene cut DEEP. Each words spoken was as impactful as a bullet.

This is an extraordinary show and I really hope that it will go down as one of the best. The road is right!

Now, please, the Emmy, The Critics's Choice Awards, the Golden Globes have to wake up.

  8. that would be so awesome, coz i'm pretty sure he's gonna die otherwise, and paige is already hanging by the thread ... oh yeah, season 4 is gonna be epic

  9. Lol. She basically sentenced the Pastor to death xD

  10. That's what I kept thinking too...that maybe this was the KGB's way of getting to Paige.

  11. Excellent episode. I can't believe it's already the finale!

  12. Everything was perfect... exepct Martha's not being there. Why is Phillip assuming that the problem is solved? Please, that makes no sense! She will confess about Clark and the pen the very moment she realises that she's been used all the time (and she should also realise that their marriage was a set-up too).

Unless he told her something unexpected in a conversation we DID NOT SEE.

  13. It's a long wait, but it's not a whole year; it's nine months.

  14. Why would they use something that they are so vehemently against to try get through to her? If that's what is happening, they're doing a terrible job.

  15. I don't think Phillip and Elizabeth would have had anything to do with this (in fact, I think they'd be furious if they knew this were happening). But getting someone as strong-minded as Paige to truly trust someone of her own free will (which is what her Pastor achieved) would probably be the most effective way to get through to her (or to find out if she could be trusted with a secret). The other kid who killed his entire family at the end of last season, was recruited by someone outside of his family (against their wishes), so I wouldn't be surprised if the KGB had already made a move on Paige even before telling Elizabeth and Phillip.

  16. I didn't think you were suggesting that Philip and Elizabeth knew about it, but there's a reason they're so against Christianity: their upbringing in the Soviet Union. Why would the people in charge of the Centre try to begin recruiting Paige through her joining a church?

  17. That analogy doesn't work, because a large percentage of Russians practice Christianity. Christianity and communism are not mutually exclusive....Just because Philip and Elizabeth do not practice it, doesn't mean that all Russians feel this way,

  18. I think it works, since the Soviet Union was against religion, but that specifically wasn't really my point. My point was them using an ideology that they and the parents are against to somehow try recruit the kid into their service, which wouldn't make sense.
