About the Author - Lisa Macklem
I do interviews and write articles for the site in addition to reviewing a number of shows, including Supernatural, Arrow, Agents of Shield, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Forever, Defiance, Bitten, Glee, and a few others! Highlights of this past year include covering San Diego Comic Con as press and a set visit to Bitten. When I'm not writing about television shows, I'm often writing about entertainment and media law in my capacity as a legal scholar. I also work in theatre when the opportunity arises. I'm an avid runner and rider, currently training in dressage.

  2. Was that the first time The Machine has spoken in plain text English to anyone before? Wither way, that's definitely my favorite scene. Outstanding episode right throughout though.

  3. A tie between Root snapping Martine's neck and The Machine communicating with Harold and co. at the end. What a great setup for the finale.

  5. Tough call. I went for Root finally getting Martine, which probably says more about me that I'd like, but the Machine telling Harold he's not interchangeable was a very close second--as it seems to be in the overall voting, too. (At least the majority of other voters also have a violent streak in them....)

  6. The Machine's message pretty easily, one of the most awe-inspiring things I've seen on the show.

  7. Root and Harold and the Machine - gold. Epic stuff.
Machine's message to Harold - chills. Left me a little teary eyed
Elias played Dominic - my jaw is on the floor.
Control and interrogation - amazing scene

I think I have described the whole episode.

  8. Yes, that was one of the best scenes. There were just too many best scenes in this episode.

  9. I felt perverse glee when Root snapped her neck. I didn't think Root had the training or strength to do that. It was surprising. Yes, and the machine communicating, how it turned the power off and had Greer release them before turning itself in.

  10. Me, too. It was shocking and satisfying, that Martine was just so smug.

  11. I hate to say it, but.........I liked it when that lady (the Samaritan mole) finally "broke" and started warning the Control head Camryn Manheim, something like "you have no idea what you're up against.....@#(*$," and of course, it started the ball rolling with the Control head finding out more info, and then disposing of her at the end. I like the way the entire episode flowed...........and the ending tied in well.........they had the Samaritan mole talking about the whole new world that Samaritan was going to bring.....voiced-over or overlapped from another scene.........very good flow. And then Control Head saying, "Too bad you're never going to see those changes." Great writing on this episode, Denise The and Andy Callahan!
