I'm split between the MockingNerd scene, and Gordon talking to Skye. Notice that he didn't say anything about her father.
ReplyDeletei loved the way Jemma takes out Bobbi
ReplyDeleteHe also didn't say anything about her mother - well, he talked about her but didn't tell Skye it was her...
ReplyDeleteSkye wrecking shit with her powers. Coolest moment of this superhero season, so far.
ReplyDeleteAgree 100%. Before that all she did with her powers was break glass and lamps and make the ground shake. But now she's stopping bullets and disintegrating giant oak trees - it's fantastic.
ReplyDeleteYou all know how I feel <3 nobody else gets my obsession with this show haha
ReplyDeleteEvery scene, I am not even kidding. The entire episode was terrific.
ReplyDeleteI loved how she took out that idiot ' Real SHIELD' agent who tried shooting Skye. I'm hoping he got killed off.
ReplyDeleteShe also can bend water.
ReplyDeleteWay too many to list!
ReplyDelete- May vs. Bobbi - not as well-done as some of the other fights this season, but still... it's a throwdown between The Cavalry and Mockingbird. Enough said. Also, how awesome was the backward somersault Bobbi did to try to escape, when she pretended to give May the toolbox? And finally, May's comments when she had Bobbi at gunpoint: "I can explain" - "Can't wait," and in response to Bobbi's explanation: "Try again." Ha, I love May's deadpan.
- May's awesome entrance + getting Coulson out - again, I love how she's always no-nonsense about everything, just kicks ass and gets the job done!
- Gordon visiting Skye. (And the prelude - "Fitz, why did you make me watch Paranormal Activity?" - ha).
- Skye using her powers in self-defense (finally!) - badass effects, great moment. And then she goes with Gordon!
- All the flashbacks on the ship, as we get to see how the fall of SHIELD affected the Olmost SHIELD crew and why they distrust Fury's leadership. Gonzales now realizes that following Fury's orders at that time would've been wrong as hell, so naturally he doesn't want Fury's protégé to run SHIELD. Plus, Agent Xena showed up again and got to be a badass, so again - enough said.
- Coulson telling Gonzales he could've just TALKED to him instead of sending two spies into his team and assaulting his base because... yeah. That's what we've all been saying.
- Coulson and Hunter rendezvous in that tropical bar. I knew Hunter's heart was in the right place, so yay on him for signing up for Coulson's team permanently and going to kick some ass with the Son of Coul. Too bad he missed all the fun at the Playground, though.
Nearly all of them plus Mac talking down a very, very traumatized Fitz...plus, Fitz and Simmons holding hands.
ReplyDeleteCan't we just vote for the whole episode?
I loved every scene with Skye's powers involved. Seriously, so well made, amazing effects.
ReplyDeleteThe last one when she stops the bullet and then blows up the three? That was the coolest scene ever made on the show. My mouth was on the floor all the time.
The whole episode was amazing, pretty sure it was my favorite from both seasons.
Skye showing her powers was awesome, but Jemma taking Bobbi down was hilarious and FitzSimmons holding hands... such a beautiful moment, I wish they could be friends again.
ReplyDeleteI think he's dead and it will be a convenient reason for Olmost SHIELD to keep hunting Skye down.
ReplyDeletewhy she was defending herself
ReplyDeletedon't think i ever heard anyone call him leo
ReplyDeletei still think they have a long ways to go
ReplyDeletei like how she defended herself and bobbi yell to give her a warning me thinking bobbi might be having regrets now joining Gonzales
ReplyDeleteWell, other than Calderon if he lives and Bobbi, no one saw what happened. Considering that they're already predisposed to think Skye is dangerous, their reaction to Calderon turning up seriously injured/dead will probably be to believe she attacked him deliberately and that they've been proven right. I do hope Bobbi stands up for Skye by pointing out that it was self-defense and that she didn't mean to kill/injure Calderon, but they might not believe her even if she does (possibly thinking she made friends while infiltrating Coulson's team and now wants to protect them).
ReplyDeleteOh god its hard to choose, I liked Skye's fight scene and using her powers but Jemma taking out Bobbi I didnt expect it I thought she was just stalling.
ReplyDeleteVery cool moment. Great explanation with her being able to feel the universe's resonance. She basically controls The Force. Outside of Magneto who technically doesn't exist in this universe (yet), this would make her the most powerful superhuman on the planet.
ReplyDeleteYou can choose more than one!
ReplyDeleteI'll consider the whole episode here!
ReplyDeleteRight?!?!? Everyone was using first names last night!
ReplyDeleteBooo! I've been anxiously waiting for him to make an appearance ever since hiatus ended, with each episode ending in disappointment. Glad he'll be there next week though!!
ReplyDeleteYeah he was cast a while go wasn't he! But definitely turning up next week so no more disappointment.
ReplyDeleteHe got stabbed in the left shoulder.
ReplyDeleteCould it be they don't know who she is?
ReplyDeleteI doubt it, but it might be possible they think she is just a random inhuman
OMG Skye using her powers and fight like a pro that's definately my favorite scene with Gordon talking to her(I think he really doesn't know who she is),of course May vs. Bobbie and Hunter joining Coulson I love him more and more.
ReplyDeletethere should be an option called "the whole episode" , that was amazing ! people are missing out .
ReplyDeleteSkye using her powers was awesome! But tbh he entire episode was really well done.
ReplyDeleteCould be he didn't want to spook her in the Shield base. I'm guessing that she'll find out next episode.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Bobbi will have it out with him/Gonzales next week after ordering that it was ICER's only. It was pretty clear that they had no intention of not hurting her.
ReplyDeleteI'm going with the general view of pretty much the whole episode. It was cool to see that Coulson had prepared in dealing with Mack for example. And yeah the Skye bits both having the conversation with Gordon and the powers bit.
ReplyDeleteFor any TV show that was a lot of very special moments we got in one episode.
ReplyDeleteSimmons taking down Bobbi. Had zero expectation of her lying her way out of that one but she did so in amazing style.
ReplyDeleteSkye using her powers - both in self defense and bending water. Also, her conversation with Gordon.
ReplyDeletePretty much any scene with May, but especially when she uses an icer on Gonzales and the other agents.
While the episode as a whole was pretty great, very few scenes stuck out specifically. I guess that's what some good episodes are good at. They stand as a unit...
ReplyDeleteI voted for:
- May/Bobbi fight
- Jemma takes out Bobbi
- Skye uses her powers/Gordon comes to the rescue
I also enjoyed Lucy kicking ass, but that was because it was Lucy kicking ass.
And I have a soft spot for that moment of Fitz and Mack in the mainframe room. How Mack put in an effort to relate to Fitz in 2A is why I liked the character, and is was so sad to see that dynamic and their friendship come to a head like that, with Fitz being betrayed all over again, yet Mack going out on a limb for him...
