Believe me when I say that you ain't seen nothing yet. This episode is unbelievably good. I'm happy that they didn't reveal any scenes between Reese and Carter.
I didn't watch the sneak peeks but the thumbnail of Root in a wedding dress made me cackle maniacally and I thought: "The Machine is living out her life through Root".
OK - so I saw this episode last night at a special screening and I'll start by saying it was a fantastic episode. Like Bradley had said in his review it very much was an episode that was incomparable to any other episode we've seen thus far, but most noticeably for the absence of the Machine or Samaritan's POV throughout the episode (We get it one time and it's the Machine's when we do). The episode was a great throwback to Carter and the feels are more than ever between her and Reese in the stakeout scenes we get from back during the beginning of season 2. There are many LOL moments too delivered by the whole cast. I want to discuss a sort of loose end once the episode ended because I was left with a little uncertainty about the actual number and case being worked on that they never addressed. Finally, the event I went to was followed by a Q&A which was originally advertised as Michael Emerson, Amy Acker, Jonathan Nolan, and Greg Plageman - so imagine my surprise when I saw Jim Caviezel walking into the building after just seeing Amy Acker 15 ft away from me. Well, it turns out that both Reese and Fusco were in attendance and the Q&A was great filled with laughs from the cast and crew as they answered questions from the audience about the characters relationships. When the session ended the fans stood outside waiting for the actors to walk to their cars - first came Jim who signed some stuff for fans and took very few pictures and rushed off out of there. Next, Michael Emerson came out and having met him before I was not surprised to see him stop for almost just about everyone he could while having friendly little chit chat with fans. As Michael got closer to the street and away from the building Acker and Chapman walked out at the same time. This gave me a chance to walk over to them and try to at least get something. Acker was immediately bombarded by fans and security was rushing her so much through the chaos that I dropped my phone as I tried to get close and ask for a pic, so I got a blurry pic of just her and told her and she laughed as she rushed off. Kevin Chapman - well, what a nice guy the Fusco really is in real life. Kevin was pleased to take the time to get in multiple pictures with the fans and I asked him and sure enough got a pic with him...All in all, it was a great night and I'm so glad I went.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Root in a wedding dress and trying to get intel while pretending to be a bride?! Awesome.
ReplyDeleteOh, Root. Never change.
ReplyDeleteLol, has Caleb proposed Root? Or what other reason could it be that she is the bride of an information source?

ReplyDeleteLMAO. The bear costume is nothing against that wedding dress xD
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love this, hope these aren't the only scenes with the two of them here.
ReplyDeleteRoot is pretty much everything I've ever wanted in a character... and then some.

ReplyDeleteTennis shoes & wedding dress? Was it a lesbian wedding, Root?

ReplyDeleteHopefully we can expect higher ratings - no competition.
