Wait, what? I'm guessing Cruella's in an AU Enlgand like Alice was on OUAT in Wonderland.
ReplyDeleteSounds interesting.
ReplyDeletegreat Cruella is from a fictional England. and guessing Issac aka the Peddler aka The Author is the reason why she in the Enchanted Forest.
ReplyDeleteIntriguing! I knew Regina would gain leverage over Rumple. That look meant the world!
ReplyDeleteSunday can't come soon enough.
7 dancers? How very odd. I wonder if it mirrors the 7 dwarves in any way.
ReplyDeleteEh, could have been worse.
ReplyDeleteAnd like the Darling kids, they also came from a fictional Victorian England, didn't they?
ReplyDeleteI've been loving Victoria Smurfit as Cruella so I'm all for her getting the spotlight.
ReplyDeleteYup, I think so!
ReplyDeleteActually, unlike Alice and Cruella, Darlings came from our own world.
ReplyDeletethats not correct. In our world they are story book characters too therefore they are from a fictional version of England
ReplyDeleteLOL. "”Best Laid Plans” was written by David H. Goodman and Jerome Schwartz and directed by Romeo Tirone". It's episode 18 people. Not 16!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad Regina is done taking Gold's crap. And I really hope Robin is on to fake Marian ... and is done "choosing"
ReplyDeleteThey're from our real England. https://twitter.com/AdamHorowitzLA/status/335785492824068096
ReplyDeleteOH CRAP is Milli Wilkinson the Amelia Wilkinson that played Alice's daughter?
ReplyDeleteAre they really doing like Wonderland never happened?
fake this was said 3 months after that tweet:
ReplyDelete* The EPs explained that the events of Wonderland take place concurrently with original Once — which raises the question of how then Alice can live in Victorian England. “It’s not historical Victorian England; it’s fictional Victorian England,” Horowitz said. As with other realms visited on Once, Wendy Darling’s England, Dr. Frankenstein’s world and such “are lands of story” removed from time."

She is, imdb confirms this, but I suppose it's just, well, another role played a shared actor. Cora's father from 2.16 also played an extra in a Wonderland episode. An actor played both an ogre and a giant on OUaT... stuff like this happens sometimes with minor characters.
ReplyDeleteIs it possible Cruella to be Alice's daughter??? It's the same actress.
ReplyDeleteBlue didnt say it would lead him to a land without magic she told him to go where the bean leads him.
ReplyDeleteAlso back in season 1, jefferson made a point of saying there a infinite worlds without magic, it just in OUR WORLD with out magic each of these characters can be found in books and media
Hmmm, I'll have to wait and see how this plays out. My first thought was that its going to be 101 Dalmatian's meets Flowers in the Attic. I'm really happy Regina gets some leverage over Rumple. As much as I love Rumple I really want Regina to stomp him into the ground right now.
ReplyDeleteBut Blue cannot decide where the bean leads instead of Bae. He wished to reach the world without magic, and so he did.
ReplyDeleteAdam apologizes more often for misspeaking during interviews than in his tweets btw.
Even though they are storybook characters they came from our own world. Balefire ended up in our world and that's where he met Darlings.
ReplyDeleteStory book characters cant come from our world only their stories come from here. Wendy Darling isnt real. Ask any person outside of storybrooke and they would reference her to Peter Pan.
ReplyDeleteSo no they are from a version of "our" past England. there would be no record of their family in "our" world. there would be a record of their family in their world
i didnt say that. here's the converaation from 1x19:
ReplyDelete(The Blue Fairy tosses him a transparent looking bean.)
Baelfire: What is it?
Blue Fairy: A magic bean. The very last one that is known to our kind. The others got away from us. You just use it wisely, and follow wherever it leads you. It will save you both.
(The Blue Fairy disappears. Baelfire returns home.)
And here's what Jefferson said in 1x17:
Jefferson: And storybooks are based on what? Imagination? Where does that come from? It has to come from somewhere. You know what the issue is with this world? Everyone wants some magical solution for their problem, and everyone refuses to believe in magic. Now, get it to work.
Emma: Here’s the thing, Jefferson – this is it. This is the real world.
Jefferson: A real world. How arrogant are you to think yours is the only one? There are infinite more. You have to open your mind. They touch one another, pressing up in a long line of lands. Each just as real as the last. All have their own rules. Some have magic, some don’t. And some need magic. Like this one. And that’s where you come in. You and your friend are not leaving here, until you make my hat. Until you get it to work.
I doubt it.
ReplyDeletecan't wait for Cruella's story, she's so great.
ReplyDeletemy poor Rumple has to go through so much LOL
Does anyone in this tale have a good childhood?...No
ReplyDeleteFeeling like the little girl in "Hook"... "You need a Mommy".
Wot? Zak Santiago played a young Prince Henry in 2.16, Cora's eventual husband. Gerry Rousseau played Cora's drunken father briefly and was seen as a peasant in episode 2 of Wonderland.
ReplyDeleteOops, my bad ^^'
ReplyDeletesame actress but not same role. Alice has her daughter in the future, Cruellas past must be 50+ years ago in the 1920-realm.
ReplyDeleteWell, in fairy tales there are also only a few happy children, so that makes sense if you look for the origin of the phenomena. The bad childhood is also the reason why the psychoanalyse loves fairy tales. But sometimes the extend in OUAT bothers me too. It's like the show saying there are no good parents.
ReplyDeleteI would even say that ONCE does not play in our world. It can't because it is fictional. It just referrs to the system of our world. Someone said earlier that Baelfire ended up in our world. I won't believe that until some proofs me that he met him in person. :D
ReplyDeletethey are from a fictional version of England
ReplyDeleteI have read the tales and know their origins, mostly mythologies and histories turned fictional, but this show has gone out of it way to make all parents bad even the Charmings, Aurora and Phillip, Ashley and Thomas, Eva, et al. They all fall into three groups, over endulgent, neglectful or flat out absent. Ask yourself has Emma actually raised Henry since returning to town or not? Note they have not shown Aurora much this season as in 3B she chose her own child's safety over Snow's and that is the focus of this arc, so how can Emma blame her parents for what other parents would do as well? All of 4A is about parents who leave their children hoping to protect one of them and about dealing with bad choices, but apparently this is something the show wants to beat til it dies. it would be good to see at least one good parent in town.
ReplyDeleteWow, there seems to be a lot going on in this episode...Unless the "Henry being kidnapped" segment lasts ca. 10 minutes, I am not sure how they'll pack it into 40 minutes (Regina gaining leverage; on her way to NY; frantically trying to come up with a solution to appease Cruella etc.)
ReplyDeleteThose are the article writer's words. They obviously just assumed the Darling's England was one of those. The showrunners' words are in that tweet, which is not fake. Remember, Michael, John and Wendy said they would leave Storybrooke to go home to England. Also, someone asked Horowitz how real people who lived in our world ended up in the Peter Pan book, and he said "magic".
ReplyDeleteSorry for replying so late. I have to agree to you. I think Cruella in the last episode was the first bad child whose evilness was not influenced by her parents. This is one of the reasons why I often argue that Ouat is not a show for children. I wouldn't want my children to watch it and learn that whatever might go wrong in their lives they can blame me in the end. And I think one very huge difference to fairy tales is that in fairy tales there are archetypes which we psychologize. In Ouat the characters are already psychologized forcing the abusing behaviour of parentship down our throats.
ReplyDeletePersonally I never accepted Emma as Henry's mother. While she gave birth to him for me Regina is his mother and she had been one of the rather 'good' examples of parentship in Storybrook. Other than her I feel like there is a competition for the worst parent going on.
Personally I am in for Snow taking down Emma's jeans and tanning Emma's hide with a switch or David's sword and reminding Emma that she is not abandoned. Too late for Regina and Rumple but having helped kill their parents seemed to do them good. As for the last episode any parent who names their child cruel devil should not be surprised when she turns out evil.
ReplyDeleteAnd by the way absent injury Regina will not have Henry soon as she will be raising Roland. Henry will be the older psuedo brother so he will probably become a pirate and move in with Hook
