Grimm - Trubel is back. Nice. They should have a lot of fun catching her up on current events. Also, from the synopses I've been reading It's really starting to look like Juliette may be the one killed off. Maybe it's a misdirect but it seems she's headed to 'point of no return' territory.

ReplyDeleteThe only other thing, besides killing her off, that I can think of is that they may be setting her up to be the main villain next season.

ReplyDeleteI agree, and at this point, I'm almost hoping for it. In the first few episodes of the series, I was sure Juliette was going to be killed of for the sake of Nick!angst. But she proved herself to be a badass and I loved her from then on. I've been a Nickette shipper as much as a Monrosalee shipper for almost the whole series. But just about every single storyline they get puts them through about ten different wringers. The writers, so awesome in so many other aspects of that show, think it makes for good drama for these two to be constantly unhappy. I'm all for noble but complex characters with dark sides, but this is just soapy absurdity. At this point, it would be more respectful to the Juliette we saw for three and a half seasons to kill her off rather than to turn her into a villain. I doubt the writers will ever let Nick and Juliette have the future they deserved. Even if they somehow overcome this, there would be something else just a few episodes later. Let her die- hopefully after at least a moment where her old self can reconnect with Nick. Let Nick grieve for as long as he needs to, and then, eventually, let him- and all of us- move on.
ReplyDeleteI'd be fine with that. At this point, and especially with a kid on the way, I think there's more story to tell with Nick and Adalind than Nick and Juliette anyway.

ReplyDeletePersonally, I think its a misdirect as the EPs have stated that Juliette will stick around for awhile as a villain. But it does seem like they'll taking her to the point of no return
ReplyDeletePersonally, I'd rather they just kill of Adalind rather than Juliette. The way the writers chose to handle Claire Coffee's real life pregnancy is a bit ridiculous considering Adalind already had a pregnancy last season. Even if she is carrying Nick's child (by way of seducing him no less) it really doesn't make her more likeable in my opinion.
