I'm opposite. I totally trust Gordon, and in turn, Lincoln. Gordon was trained by Skye's mom. And after seeing Skye's dad, she must get all her good qualities from her mom! Plus they're two guys who've been through what she has, so they understand and know exactly how to help. Coulson means well, but he was grasping at straws. I think Skye straightens herself out with their help, and then goes and helps Coulson save SHIELD.
And he better not turn to Ward, that Murderous Manipulator, for help, or I'll lose all respect. It looks like he has Hunter, so he's good.
I think Coulson would rather rot than turn to Ward. I'd rather Coulson rot that watch him work with Ward. The last time he interacted with him, he showed his utter disdain for the man that tried to kill two members of his team. If Ward wants to go saving Skye, someone he just acknowledged recently that she don't want him, he'll be doing so on his own, which he's more than welcome to.
Hell yeah Coulson! You are totally going to take back SHIELD and I can't freaking wait to see how he does it. As for finding Skye, we'll see if she wants to go back. And Lincoln is here!! What the heck are you doing to Skye, Gordon? Creepy.
THAT WAS AWESOME! Skye's powers were amazing! GO GIRL, you are beautiful! Flashback were phenomenal, but there is more to the story, yeah. May was badass as always. I'm not yet trusting Gordon, even though he was Skye's mom protege. I'm not sure about SHIELD vs. OlmostSHIELD, because they both has flaws, but Coulson's side is still my side. Fiiiitz! Fitz and Simmons were awesome too!
Yeah, it's kind of funny to say "I don't trust Gordon and Lincoln, the two potentially bad guys, so I think Coulson should turn to Ward, the KNOWN bad guy and murderer."
We still don't know much about the Inhumans but I don't think they're evil. They strike me as a neutral faction that just wants to be left alone. If you mess with them, they'll mess with you, but that seems fair enough.
And making the Inhumans evil would oversimplify things in the same way that making Olmost SHIELD evil would've ("They're bad because they don't agree with Coulson's decisions" = "They're bad because they want to separate Skye from her friends"), so I don't think the show will go that route. I'm not saying Skye should join them permanently, and obviously she won't, but I think it's good for her to spend some time with people who understand who she is and can help her come to terms with and control her powers.
As the MCU can't use the X-Men and Mutants it seems pretty likely that the Inhumans will take on a similar role. Some will isolate themselves from the world, others will try and help it and some will probably be mad at SHIELD and the Avengers and take them on. But full out evil like you I don't see happening.
Skye has a right to be with her people, they may not be her actual family in the long term but I don't think May or Coulson would be upset with her for wanting to find out who she is.
Yeah, it's possible a separate faction of Inhumans will take on a villainous role like Magneto and the Brotherhood of Mutants, but it can't be all of them. Undergoing Terrigenesis and getting powers doesn't suddenly make you evil.
I don't think he will turn to ward for help but i'm wondering how in the hell ward will fit back into this series. How Ward, Kara and Bakshi will fit into the main plot? i have no clue what they will do. He will obviously be back since the Brett was working with the other actors again but how they will do it i have no idea. Right now, i can't see Coulson turning to him realistic, not after everything.
so by the looks of it fitz chose is side and walks away maybe to join up with coulson and hunter at some point but simmons stays maybe weaver convinces her somehow but we also have to remember that fitz isnt the same fitz that weaver saw the last time she saw him he still has his problems so maybe they let him go because of that
Oh that is just great, Fitz is walking away and Simmons is staying to help Mack, Bobbi and those another Shield guys...why do they have to break them up again just after we had those sweet moments in the last episode? These games they are playing with my science babies this season are killing me. Btw, last episode, awesome!
I feel like I need to watch this and The Flash eps back-to-back during the Summer to get the full effect of how awesome this season has been...and maybe Arrow too..lol
I don't think Coulson would deliberately look for Ward for help. I DO think, however, that Ward would seek Coulson in order to offer it once he he gets wind of the events of last episode. It does seem bizarre for Coulson to accept it, but with OlmostSHIELD being so much more resourceful than him right now, with only Hunter as an available assett, I don't really know how he could take on them without Ward, Kara and mind controlled Bakshi.
Looking at this if fitz is going to walk away and Simmons stay I think it will be she stays undercover and he goes to find Coulson and they stay in contact. I think she's going to be a mole.
I don't know if Gonzales is the lesser evil in the grand scheme of things.
We're still not entirely sure what he wants or why, and he seems to have enough man power that if his motivations are nefarious he could be a bigger problem in the big picture. However Coulson's feelings against Ward reflect more of a personal vendetta, and he is someone he knows he can't trust or rely on. Therefore he's more emotionally involved in seeing Ward as an enemy, which is why he wouldn't ask him for help, not even against Gonzales, at this point.
It looks like he's just leaving on his own actually. He probably doesn't agree with them, on how they handled things and wants out. Jemma on the other hand seems to be willing to join "Real" SHIELD.
Well I'm nowhere near loving Hunter yet. But I have gone from thinking him of his as a dead weight character to someone somewhat useful and dependable. Hopefully I can even get to care about him by the end of the season... though I'm not holding my breath...
A lot of people especulate this show is safe just because Disney owns marvel and ABC but i don't think so. They will continue to renew if is doing good. The show is good but the ratings keeping getting dangerously low and we are still on season 2. The show was mapped out for 3 seasons so is a easy guess we will get next season but If this continues to happen (ratings getting down) on season 3 who knows if ABC will want to do a season 4. I wouldn't say this show is cheap for them.
The show runners constaly said in interviews about how they had seasons 1,2,3 mapped out (for example Paley fest panel last year). Like they knew where to go until season 3 since the beginning. I'm sure they have more plans by now but the show needs stronger response. I have no idea why their ratings aren't higher. It's a good damn show.
Hey, she did go under with Hydra once, and Bobbi being her handler and that woman from the academy liking her. she might be the only chance of a spy they can have. She clearly tricked Bobbi once, before disabling her and put her down, I think she could do it again.
I think that they are preparing for something a little bigger. Agents of SHIELD is part of the cinematic universe of Marvel. Marvel had lan, a big bad ass plan, they will not leave the show's destiny at chance. They probably have it guaranteed by ABC till the third season. Here's my theory... The Inhumans movie is stated to 2018, at the first week of november, and we know by then Skye would be full on Inhuman, and we would have met a lot of familiar faces. There are central characters in the movie that we'll probably see mentions of on the show. and the support characters will be those Inhumans who received the best reaction from the fans in the show. Before the Inhumans movie we still have: Age of Ultron, which will probably impact the season finale on AoS (we have back to back episodes before and after the launching of the movie) Civil War, which will premiere in May 6 of 2016, beautifully synced with the final episodes of AoS season 3, so we can see the build up and the reverberations of the events on the movie. Next on the list, Captain Strange ill be released in november 4 of the same year (which would happen around episode 7 for AoS), again we have build up and consequences on a 4th season. With Inhuman Skye on the Team, and a little mythology build on the Kree we'll have Guardians of galaxy 2, May 5 of 2017 ( How cool would be for Skye to get in touch or even connect to Star-Lord). Then we'll have Black Panther on November 3, 2017 (don't know much about the character, but we do know he makes an appearance on Civil War, and the timeline fits the Series) Infinity War back at May of 2018, again, near the Season finale of a 5th season. Then finally Inhumans, which will probably have Skye in, some way, and the Infinity War part 2, on the final episodes of the 6th season of AoS. Agents of Shield is it's own show and it's the linking between the universe. It will allow a build up of every single event and show the consequences of them, who will result in a build up for the next one. It's more than just an ordinary series, is an investment. The moment they bring AoS to the big screen, be with Coulson, Bobbi, Skye... It will rise. AoS is like a different kind of Comics for Marvel, it will stay on. No one will admit, so they can appeal to the fans, so they'll watch it, and the show can at least it covers it's own costs. But it will have a long life. The reason those guys might have mapped out only till the third season might be because they only had information till the Civil War, which it was expected to happen. Marvel doesn't make one step without a plan, they wouldn't have a Series if they weren't committed to it, so, yes... AoS is a part of Marvel's plan till 2018.
I disagree. It is not about who is the more or less evil but who has the goal more or less aligned with you. Ward's goal, as creepy as it may be, is Skye, so helping Coulson would be aligned with that and Coulson can use him. Gonzales has the opposite goal from Coulson.
I think Ward is going to re-infiltrate HYDRA. I didn't need to see Double Agent to figure that one out. I figured it was his next move when he and 33 had Bakshi on the machine. Think a minute: Who knows Ward isn't really down with HYDRA's goals? A bunch of HYDRA minions squooshed flat in Puerto Rico, a dead Whitehall, 33, who is now Ward's little buddy, Skye, who isn't in a position to rat Ward out, and now Bakshi, whose brain has been wiped. I think Ward will infiltrate to do something to keep HYDRA from taking advantage of the Coulson/Gonzales squabble.
Ward is his own side, or the agent of a third party in the mix (Fury, Gonzales, Leviathan, Stark, the Girl Scouts, maybe--who knows?). I've wondered ever since Ward's face-heel turn if he wasn't actually the guy who tipped Fury off about the Lemurian Star? Fury hired the pirates and set the whole thing in motion to get data from the Lemurian Star. How did he know to look there? It's been hand-waved as "Fury's just that awesome," but I think someone spilled the beans.
There is a logic in what you're saying, but also there's the fact that Coulson couldn't, wouldn't and shouldn't trust Ward with Skye, even if "protecting Skye" might be Ward's objective (which BTW considering what he said in LitToH that objective might even even shifted now...)
So regardless of whether he can use Ward or not in this situation, I doubt he'd call on him, because of their history.
I can see Ward weaseling himself into the situation on his own though...(that is if his intentions are still to "keep Skye safe" of course)
Yes, I wasn't trying to suggest that Coulson would contact Ward himself, just that it wouldn't be illogical for him to accept an alliance with him, temporarily, as a way to achieve a common goal, should the opportunity present itself.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I don't trust Lincoln or Gordon, tbh.
ReplyDeleteAnd I have a feeling Coulson will turn to Ward for help.
Yeah COUSLON! They are messing with the wrong DUDE!
ReplyDeleteDoes it look like they're kicking Fitz out, or that he's walking away to anyone else? I have a mighty need to know what's going to happen!
ReplyDeleteI'm opposite. I totally trust Gordon, and in turn, Lincoln. Gordon was trained by Skye's mom. And after seeing Skye's dad, she must get all her good qualities from her mom! ReplyDeleteLooks exciting can't wait.
ReplyDeleteI dont think Fitz is gonna work with them and that's why he is walking away. Can t wait to see what Coulson and Hunter are gonna do.
ReplyDeleteI trust Gordon atm too, but I also want more of Ward unlike you. Odd have ppl thing huh.
ReplyDeletedo not trust them, and side note Gordon talked a LOT LOL, and i definitely NEED that
ReplyDeleteIs Skye having acupuncture? Yay Lincoln! Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteBetween Ward and Gonzales, I'm pretty sure Gonzales is still the lesser of two evils, so Coulson turning to Ward for help wouldn't make any sense.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's kind of funny to say "I don't trust Gordon and Lincoln, the two potentially bad guys, so I think Coulson should turn to Ward, the KNOWN bad guy and murderer."

ReplyDeleteCoulson & Hunter road trip/adventure, aww yeah! Like a cop buddy comedy.
ReplyDeleteYeah Coulson and WTF Jemma, is she staying withe "real" SHIELD? I don't trust Lincoln at all.
ReplyDeleteAs the MCU can't use the X-Men and Mutants it seems pretty likely that the Inhumans will take on a similar role. ReplyDeleteThis season is soooooo good hope it gets renewed or I'll die. May protecting Coulson /Skye is so marvellous
ReplyDeleteI trust Lincoln because it said he would be a friend to her and help her control her powers. Maybe he is testing her to see how he can help her.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry. The renew is guaranteed. AOS was always map to be 3 seasons. Now beyong that nothing is certain.
ReplyDeleteThis is some random thing. Who knew acupuncture would help with quake powers? I can't wait to know what Lincoln's powers are.
ReplyDeleteI don't think he will turn to ward for help but i'm wondering how in the hell ward will fit back into this series. ReplyDeleteThis show has miraculously made me LOVE Hunter, in three episodes.
ReplyDeleteWard is evil, why would Coulson ask him for help?
ReplyDeleteIf they renew it for season 3, which they will, then season 4 is guaranteed.
ReplyDeleteso by the looks of it fitz chose is side and walks away maybe to join up with coulson and hunter at some point but simmons stays maybe weaver convinces her somehow but we also have to remember that fitz isnt the same fitz that weaver saw the last time she saw him he still has his problems so maybe they let him go because of that
