  1. This looks like it'll be very amusing. I love seeing the reactions of all the supporting characters when Liv goes through her weekly personality shift. They must all think she's kind of nuts.

  2. This is great! Can't wait for it :D

  3. I've seen some mad Walking Dead fans because iZombie is starting to become the internet/social media darling Zombie show.

  4. like this show a lot but they need to work on the medial/morgue aspects a bit.

  5. I don't know why they'd be mad.That's a little childish.
TWD is the zombie show that all others will be compared to, it's a ratings phenom and it leads Twitter chatter every week it's on.

  6. How so? It would seem that the only function of the ME portion of iZombie is for Liv to get brains (for survival and investigation) and to interact with Ravi.

  7. Why and how? As Bruce said they're merely a device to foster Liv's survival, cases and the procedural aspect.

  8. right, but that does not mean they can't at least have it be somewhat realistic, even passing. in the last episode they showed the dead guys brains but they had not performed even a craniotomy, so how did they get the brains out, by magic?

also, it is a very "causal" morgue , which I get is the vibe of the show, but come at least wear the eye protection or disposal aprons etc...

and then there is the fact that she is a doctor but has yet to approach anything about being a zombie from a rational or medical perspective. she becomes one and just accepts it? doesn't try to do anything clinical?

  9. see below post to Graydon.

  10. They never showed the back of the victim's head at the morgue in the last episode and a craniotomy to remove rotten/liquified brains wouldn't entail a bisected skull. It would call for a smaller more precise orifice.

The "casual" morgue part I agree with. More than once I have wondered (especially when Blaine just shows up) where the hell is the security that keeps these people from just wandering in? That's not a ME-specific problem though. That's an iZombie writers using common sense problem.

As for Liv being medically analytical about her condition, when she's constantly changing and experiencing different personalities and skills (which is the core of the show itself and takes up the majority of time, along with investigation), it counterproductive to stop the show in its tracks so she can wax intellectual about the subject when Ravi is there to serve that function. It's a practical setup as is.

  11. I think Liv does wear eye protection when she saws a brain open (I believe she has and Ravi I know has- I'm pretty sure she's worn an apron too). Sure you die, then become undead and tell me your first reaction is too study yourself, say not process it emotionally or deal with it. She's undead. And she doesn't have access to advanced medical technology to finance or create a cure. They saw them out of the head. It's been shown several times. Dude this is nitpicking.

  12. very true, and its a bit nitpicky on my part but the show has good potential and if they could close some writing gaps it would be even better.

also, i don't mean make that a through-line of the show, her medically analyzing it, but maybe in the first episode they should have had her say something about trying to "figure it out". but again a nitpick.

  13. yes, probably, but I follow a girl who works a a mortician and she live posts about the episodes which gives real insight into what is and is not correct on the show. it is meant in fun, but she has a lot of valid points that would be good for the writers to address.

  14. I'll be super gross but I'm pretty sure you can pull a brain out through the nose, and if it was liquified due to decomposition maybe that's the way they went.

  15. I was thinking that, took me back to days studying ancient Egypt and mummification. red hot poke up the nose, swish and pull.

I have been a fan for years of both comic books! The thing is that I love this show and I hate that crappy fanfic who everyone love. They are very stupid to compare an amazing show with a crappy one :P
