Syfy has opted to cancel the drama after two seasons, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The Sony Pictures Television drama, starring Billy Campbell, hailed from executive producers Steven Maeda and Ron Moore, and finished its sophomore run earlier this month.

ReplyDeleteWe knew the axe was coming, but I'm still very saddened and disappointed. I LOVED this show. And I feel there could have been more for all the characters. What a horrible shame it got such low ratings. The writing was stellar all season.

ReplyDeleteidk about,as I don't watch it anymore after its first season. But definately Haven because regardless of ratings as syfy does not do scripted shows beyond season 5 anymore. Also, that the season 5b may as well be a season 6, but got called season 5b anyway.

ReplyDeleteI think I'm more worried for 12 Monkeys than Dominion. Dominion was pretty steady in ratings and has a large fanbase on Twitter. 12 Monkeys kind of barely scrapped by for a Season 2. It wasn't getting much higher ratings than Helix.

ReplyDeleteI'm really saddened by this news. I really enjoyed the show and would have liked one more season so they could have wrapped some loose ends up. Also, I'm even more sad as this is the first show of mind to be cancelled in the last 2 years.

ReplyDeleteThey needed to shift the focus. When the first couple were all about Alan and Sarah and Peter, I was done. I was only really interested in Hatake and Anana by that point and Julia by default.

In season 2 dared to bring us a new way to make his show, some fans like me loved, it’s just… huge! the only thing we can say…you’re brilliant! unfortunalely some fans did not get or catch that, simply they wanted to see season 1 in season 2 so,What is the interest of that ?. Please @Syfy give Helix a third and craszy season, it deserves it, because season 3 is the key. So sad and wrong to end it like that.
