Evil Juliette is finally getting interesting. I hope they don't try to redeem her and if they're going to kill her I hope she continues to raise a lot of hell before she goes.
I've stopped feeling sorry for her. Everyone who cares about her has reached out to her over and over again and Juliette continues to reject them just as much as she claims to feel rejected. If she genuinely wants to live this way then so be it. Let's see what she's got.
God dammit juliette, you burn down the trailer, and now you want to kill the people that care about you. I mean things are starting to get serious and I like that but dammit Juliette destroying the trailer which was the last posesion from aunt Mary......dammit!!!!!!
I am surprised the writers had Juliette destroy the trailer because it was sort of the central symbol of the show. They must be planning to push a big re-start button on next season.
Yeah I'm usually extremely empathic and sympathetic, but Juliette basically has no redeeming qualities now, and is just being a bitch. I'm of the put her down mindset now.
Oh, I don't want her put down. At least not yet. I've no sympathy for her but now that she has stopped whining and started taking action she's entering genuine villain territory. Since Grimm seldom has any good villains, I want to see how far Juliette can go with this. If she's going to be an evil bitch, I say crank it up to 11.
Let's see what she's got I think your underestimateing the women since she's apparently a super hexenbeast not an average one she did single handily kill a montcore which are hard to kill even for grimms their lucky she dosen't have full controle
Well I don't think anyone will die here. Bullet wound? Probably; but no death. Juliette will leave and go off with royal douche whatshisname and contact Nick's mom to trick her into coming to Portland.
She'll come running but into the trap and will be overpowered by Juliette and royal douche whatshisname. "Where's the baby?" ....a powerful force knocks them back and .."right here....get away from my mother!" Surprise, Diana is magically all grown up!!
I do believe the elderly Grimm who died from a bad heart had a lot of Grimm information and weapons including the key Nick now has hidden under a floor board at Monroe and Roselee spice shop. I believe it is still in a warehouse where his son and the elder Grimm held out. I believe Trubel has some of the books, she had one in her room the one Sgt. Wu came across.
That's what I was thinking unfortunately. It would be the perfect twist when you think about it: the woman you love(d) forcing you to shoot your best friend. Probably will happen towards the end of the episode.
Obviously, Juliette will escape this scenario unharmed, like others have pointed out I think she'll force him to shoot Monroe somehow. If you watch closely you can see his hands are really trembling when the gun goes off, which implies that Juliette was somehow manipulating Nick's weapon when he pointed it at her. Obviously, Nick was very distraught
Looks like a set-up to have Juliet killed at the end of the season. Hopefully they dont chicken out, and pull an Angel from Buffy, which Greenwalt was also apart of to have her return next season. I expect they would send her away if she is cured or sorta under control, she would leave, but seeing as how they showed Adalind in Vienna away from all the characters. I bet they would do this with Juliet, and still keep her on the show.
The serial killer storyline starts in this episode. I just wanted to go on record as saying that I think the culprit is Renard. I had a nagging suspicion about it and after the loss of time moment and his interest in specific police reports in the Iron Hans episode I'm convinced Sean is killing people.
Nope, I doubt it. I'm 99% that Monroe will end up being shot in this episode. Rosalie won't get shot, I'm pretty sure of that because of an interview I've read with the EPs. It's definitely going to be Monroe, though I really wish it wasn't.
That's an interesting thought that Renard might be unwittingly doing the killings. But I think his interest in the police reports was pretty self-explanitory, he wanted to know whether or not he'd somehow hurt anyone. Another possibly is that Trubel is the one doing the killings, as it states that she returns in a rather unexpected way and "you won't know it's her".
Damn, beat me to the punch! I had the same hunch myself. Not crazy about the idea but, if Renard's is going to be "major character death" in the season finale it would be a dramatic way to have him go out.
Ok, don't want to get too heavy but, I had two close female relatives who literally "lost their minds," one due to brain damage and the other due to extreme mental illness, and Bitsie Tulloch's portrayal of Juliette's descent into madness is spot on! Unnervingly so, even! The relative who suffered brain damage also suffered physical deformity and it didn't matter how sympathetic or empathetic anyone was, she drove everyone away, including all her closest friends. Whether it's great acting or great writing or great directing or all of the above, Juliette's behavior is as real as it gets. Not always fun or comfortable to watch but, I'll take real over Disney any day!
And, yes, throw in the science fictiony aspect of her telekinetic powers and Juliette is far and away the most interesting villain Grimm has produced. I'm also glad that it doesn't appear that they're going to come up with some simple "drink a potion" solution to her condition, which they too often do. Having her team up with Prince Kenneth, who is the most formidable Royal we've met so far, raises the stakes as well. Can't wait to see where this goes. Have a feeling that Kenneth, and the rest of the Royals, are going to find out they've bitten off more than they can chew!
While I think Tulloch is doing an admirable job as of late, I don't think equating Juliette's personality shift with brain damage or mental illness is suitably applicable. This doesn't seem to be a condition that is completely out of her control or even unmanageable to a degree. A large part of what is going on is due to choices made by Juliette that seem to be made by someone of a relatively sound mind and I don't believe that choosing to do bad things can automatically be chalked up to an illness of deficiency of some sort.
Right, she's clearly embracing the change in her circumstances but, I think there is something organic going on as well. In an interview, David Giuntoli described what was happening to her as "her brain is growing a new lobe." I won't go into my overly elaborate theories about what that means since they are not canon and who cares anyway but, there is clearly a change in her personality that is not just her deciding to choose a new leaf on life. :-) The other characters in the show have noticed it and she recognized it too in that scene where she tells Rosalee and Monroe that she's "losing herself." I just love how Bitsie has captured the nuance of someone in the throws of mental upheaval and how the writers aren't afraid to present a character who doesn't conform to everyone's maudlin ideas of how a person is "supposed" to behave.
So, it's not as simple as her choosing to be bad nor her being completely out of control. The question of how much "choice" anyone has over their basic personality is a subtle one. Do most people "choose" to be good or, are they only good because they don't really have the power to be "bad?" Obviously Juliette has been presented a extraordinary "choice." She wants to believe that she has gained control but is she controlling her power or is her new power controlling her? Nico Evers-Swindell (Kenneth) said that "evil" people almost never think of themselves as evil. And a signature of insanity is not believing there is anything wrong with how you think.
I think redemption is still possible for Juliette but, it won't be anything simple, at least I hope not. I think her only hope lies is some monumental effort of self-overcoming, akin to the real life mathematician John Nash's defeat of his affliction. Whether the writers choose to take that route or whether Juliette is irrevocably lost to the "dark side," it looks like it's going to be a wild ride!!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Dude just kill her.
ReplyDeleteI really wonder IF there is a way to come back from all the damage Juliet has done. I feel so bad for her. Seriously, after all she's gone through. :/

ReplyDeleteWell, I really doubt she can be friends with them again after destroying the trailer and attack them in the next episode.
ReplyDeleteI am surprised the writers had Juliette destroy the trailer because it was sort of the central symbol of the show. They must be planning to push a big re-start button on next season.

ReplyDeleteI hope they shake up the show a bit next season. The episode structure and character roles are all too rigid.
ReplyDeleteYou make an excellent case. Let's ride this bitch out.

ReplyDeleteThis is gonna crazy shit, can't wait.
ReplyDeleteThis really needs to happen in my opinion.

Yeah there's no coming back from this. I'd much rather have Adalind around anyway.
ReplyDeleteI think Juliette has Nick shoot Monroe ( as you heard at the end the gun goes off)

ReplyDeleteI still like you Juliette but don't hurt Monroe-He's off limit woman!

ReplyDeleteSpoiler has Monroe will get shot by a "friend" Rosaleie physically okay but mentally when she sees Monroe get shot not so good.

If they forgive her, because "that was the hexenbeast, not her", I won´t forgive the show.
