I feel like we haven't seen enough of them yet to warrant this amount of angst. I'm just having a hard time caring about them as a couple. It doesn't feel earned and rushed pacing of their relationship just takes away any emotion we're supposed to have.
I agree 100%! I'm so turned off by them (her mostly) and the more she reacts like this the more turned off i get. I'm getting to the point where i'm going to dvr the show just so i can fast forward her and them together.
This is awfully terrible, or terribly awful. An unbelievable mismatch,I feel ashamed for both actors, cringeworthy to watch, absolutely zero chemistry, both look like amateur actors. Scorsone is a mediocre actress but Kevin McKidd was on Rome!!!!!
It´s a terribly forced pairing, contrived, nothing genuine, two single characters thrown in together just to be forcefully paired up, but none of the writers willing to admit it. Both actors the harder they try to sell it, the less it works.
Well I couldn't even make it through that clip so I can't say I'm even the least bit excited for this episode. Why has she been at the center of everything all season? The actress is terrible, I'd say easily the worst regular ever on Grey's, because they typically have a stellar cast. But the writing for her is annoying, the actress makes it worse, and the stories are bringing down the whole show. Owen should have left when Cristina or Teddy did.
Girl, please. The universe doesn't revolve around you or your love life. Your patient didn't die because you are getting some, but because you are NOT God and you ARE bound to fail once in a while. I wish the writers would just own up their mistake: Owen and Amelia don't work.
I won't disagree with the basis of your argument. It might be rushed.
But I remember there was a lot of similar criticism over Mark and Lexie when they first got together, and even though the arguments weren't 100% invalid people did grow to love them... I'm willing to sit this through for a bit longer...
I will admit however, I might not be the best judge. I don't think I'll be particularly invested either way, because I'm mostly over the show, and I don't care about them as separate characters enough to actually care.
You call Caterina terrible? Fine, you are entitled to your opinion, but I can name a handful of worse-acting regular cast from the Grey's history (some of them still on the show - look : Steph).
I was worried he'd ruin her character, like - literally, send her down the downward spiral...but it's getting worse - she's becoming annoying to watch...why? Because she's ALWAYS sharing screentime with mediocre Owen...wish he'd go away already. He should've left at the end of S10 after Cristina, really...Nothing personal regarding Kevin McKidd, it's just that his character felt flat for a few past seasons already and now that Cristina is gone he has zero screen vlue for me, as a person (and as a surgeon...? gee. I can't remember the last time he performed a surgery.)...And to think they're pairing Callie with a guy now, while A MAJORITY OF US wanted her with him instead of Amelia...UGH. I'm literally at the end of my rope.
I wish Stef was gone too, but only because the character is useless. I don't really dislike the actress, but Stef has no real connections to other characters and no purpose... I get that some people like Amelia from PP, but she's been shoved down our throats this year and has consumed the back-half of this season. The actress really makes me cringe, she's always over-doing it, her style reminds me of the old SNL sketch of kids in an acting summer camp, it's so over-dramatic all the time. Her dialog is usually terrible and the story with Owen just isn't working. I don't buy her as a surgeon and even worse now I just dread seeing her onscreen.
Agree. Love Amelia. Don't think I like her w Owen. Owen has never been a fave character for me. And this relationship just seems convenient for the writers.
I find myself not caring about them invidually as well. And that is coming from someone who loved Amelia on Private Practice. They've done the same mistake they did with Stephanie and Jo - immediately pair them up with someone from the cast instead of developing them properly.
And Owen was mostly tied to Cristina and now that she is gone, it's become glaringly obvious how underdeveloped as a character he is.
It is frustrating and what about Maggie, where did she go? She was introduced had a few episodes then discarded only to have a few lines here and there. Shonda could have given her and Webber a great storyline considering the connection they share.
Well , i loved these two at first but their relationship is going way too fast for me. I mean , they are "close" since only 4 episodes and they already talk about falling in love as if it was so intense , blablbabla..... That's just weird , too fast and make them lose their magic of the begenning !
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely zero emotion.
ReplyDeleteShe is like long nails scratching on a chalkboard. Make her stop talking.....

ReplyDeleteShe's acting like they are the first couple to be formed within hospital.
ReplyDeleteOkay, am I the only one who loves Amelia? I seriously don't get all the hate for her.

You're not alone! Amelia is one of my favorites right now but I'm not sure about Owelia...
ReplyDeleteOMG! This is torture!!! I dont like Owen for her! He is so boring!!!
ReplyDeleteAmelia is a great character but Owen is in the middle!! I dont like it!
Im just see this one because Arizona is back! And the promo canadiens is so cool! Just please no more Owen!!!
ReplyDeleteWhile I don't mind them together, I think she's overreacting a bit... then again she's never been a favourite of mine so I could be projecting a bit.
ReplyDeleteI won't disagree with the basis of your argument. It might be rushed.

Go Amy!! Gosh, I love Caterina Scorsone so much. She's so underrated (as in : I mean, she should have huge parts in the box-office movies).
ReplyDeleteYou call Caterina terrible? Fine, you are entitled to your opinion, but I can name a handful of worse-acting regular cast from the Grey's history (some of them still on the show - look : Steph).
ReplyDeleteAll that needs to be said. Period.

ReplyDeleteYes. Boring he is!!!
ReplyDeleteWE WANT THE MISSING GREY'S REVIEWS PLEASE!
ReplyDeleteI loved her on Private Practice but she is slowly being ruined for me.

ReplyDeleteWhy all that drama if tehya re dating for just a few weeks.
ReplyDeleteBecause it's Shonda... and subtlety isn't her thing...
ReplyDeleteBetcha they re-attach his penis he apologises to his wife and mistress re-detaches his penis again...
ReplyDeleteBecause it's Shonds and that's the all the "drama" she capable of.
