  1. That cat is putting on such an obvious front.

  2. Brucey laying down that no kill rule. Good now you just need a decade of intense training, constant brooding and a plan.

  3. these kids dealing with death, conspiracy and morals whoa but i hope it doesn't destroy their relationship. It looks like they're getting a lot closer to the truth

  4. More Selina is good to me.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I really don't like they made Cat a killer and even less that she's so cool about. She's supposed to be one of the good (despite being a thief).

    ReplyDelete
  6. It won't. He never kills.

    ReplyDelete
  7. She's also an anti-hero and willing t (and has killed) she just doesn't like to.

    ReplyDelete
  8. They'll get real far apart then encounter each other in their future personas and get real close.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Looks awesome, looking forward to this one.

    ReplyDelete
  10. yeah, well, she doesn't seem to mind either in this case.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Batman never kills

    ReplyDelete
  12. damn it but i hope it's not to kill each other

    ReplyDelete
  13. wait DOESN'T like to? i didn't even think she killed, so you think she's covering her horror at killing Payne?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Probably she's 12. I think.

    ReplyDelete
  15. It's not Ivan. Comic wise (and a lot of adaptations) Selina is Bruce's greatest love.

    ReplyDelete
  16. awesome, very cool

    ReplyDelete
  17. well actually BRUCE is 12, Selina's 14, but maybe she didn't want him to have that burden, i'm hoping anyway because the way she's talking...

    ReplyDelete
  18. Ummm, Batman has killed before, did you not know that? It might be his rule, but he has done it. That's not news.

    ReplyDelete
  19. He's killed before.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I'm aware. It's happened but in mainstream continuity (at least that of New Earth) he's killed basically just Darkseid. He's come close countless times, but pulls back. Well unless he's Earth 31 Batman. But that's not the mainstream Batman.

    ReplyDelete
  21. But his view on killing never changes. He despises the idea of it. Fearing what he would become.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I didn't say he enjoyed it. I said he did it. You can't say he's "never killed" when he has in fact killed. And/Or when he actually had the intention of killing.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'm not talking about Darkseid, although that's a good example.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Wow you didn't know that??? I figured you didn't read comics, but that's like world known knowledge. = / You live under a rock huh? Lol I think you do.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Even I know that and I don't like Batman lol

    ReplyDelete
  26. Who was his first kill?

    ReplyDelete
  27. A mentally I'll patient he hung with rope from his batwing flying around. While saying, "He's better off dead." Another time didn't prevent a man from falling to his death. Trapped a man to starve to death (later changed) He's killed before. A few (maybe a lot) would say a lot more times than twice. Especially in the 80s. (Depending on the situation) Like not even Batman is above it. The short answer will always be..yes, he's done it, whether he likes it or not.

But my main reason for my comment was pointing out the badassary that is Bruce/Batman, how he becomes a completely different person than who he is now as a kid. The transition/violence he goes through, not necessarily his kills. (Or lack of kills). That was Graydon and Ivan's doing. I was just making an observation. Lol

    ReplyDelete
  28. Right?? Lmaoooo like who doesn't know that?

    ReplyDelete
  29. The difference between the Bat and the Cat summed up in two lines. One would kill the other would not.

    ReplyDelete
  30. No Batman in Ny modern interpretation doesn't like and has never enjoyed murder. He's not an anti-hero. Some versions yes, but the mainstream Batman whether Golden, silver or modern age is a hero. Not an anti-hero. Batman is pure black and white on murder. It's why for so long he didn't trust huntress. It's why he only further views Jason as his greatest failure. Because he's a hero who hates killing. That's why when adaptations depict Batman as a killer are so controversial. Because it's a line that he utterly hates and refuses to cross it. Because if he did he feels there could be no going back. That's it's not his right to take a life. His refusal to take a life is stronger than Superman's. Batman is not an anti-hero. He has the morality and compassion of a hero. He's f*cked up psychologically but he's a hero through and through. Despite his darkness.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Those are all different versions of Batman and don't apply to the modern context. Of which I am referring.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yes, controversial is the word. He may hate it and refuse to cross it, doesn't change the fact that he has. I've always thought of him as both anti and hero. He does have a dark side. And that's what i'm getting at. He may be "Black and White" when it comes to not murdering someone. (I very much agree with that) but he's still done it, and many times have come pretty damn close. (If someway somehow he didn't miraculously get out of it, smh) There's no denying that, no matter how much you may love him.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Ok....too bad this show won't live long enough to see that.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Unless we get a time jump but we won't. Oh well.

    ReplyDelete
  35. LOL the time jump would have to be pretty massive.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Whoa! Was it even a mercy kill? Or did that patient hurt people?
Those kills sound like murder. Was there a good reason behind them? Was he saving someone?

How is he as a kid? you know I don't watch the show but from your comments I think Selina wants to kill someone and he's refusing, right?
(By the way 12 years old talking about killing people is very messed up, just saying)

    ReplyDelete
  37. That's the Dark Knight Returns. That's FrankMiller's Batman (or should I say the Goddamn Batman-he's the psychopathic version). Again not the main modern Batman. That one version yeah, but regular Batman of New Earth and now Prime Earth and general mainstream adaptations isn't that guy. He's grey at times, but he's not an anti-hero because he does what he does so that no kid had to fear some punk with a gun. He has a dark side (it's why he doesn't kill- often because he fears what killing even someone like the Joker will do, what giving in to the rage and hate) but Batman fights crime so that someone else will never suffer the fate he has, to protect others and help them. It's that selflessness found in him, that desire to protect others and that everyone has a right to live and his operation within very strict lines (again most versions- some like Miller's kills cops and laughs about it- but there's a reason people aren't too fond of All Star a Batman and Robin well that and he's a near one note dick who abuses Dick Grayson and makes him eat rats and the writing sucks) are why I'm so opposed to an anti- hero label (though I do love the talk some versions have given that he might just be a messed up kid who does it for himself and to live out his own fantasy of what he couldn't do all those years ago in crime alley to Joe Chill) for the character so much. Because for me despite all the brooding, and darkness and intimidation there are few heroes with such strong moral convictions and desire to help others than Batman. I get why he could have the qualities at times, but just overall his dedication to humanity, morality, empathy for others, refusal to kill, use guns or torture just outweighs his anti-heroic qualities. Plus Goddamn is he badass. And his villains are the best. Part of the problem is there are just so many alternate takes on the guy. It's both great and kinda hard to go through.

  38. It was murder. The patient, was before his no killing rule. But he did kill after that. AFTER his rule. Some fans would take it further and say he's killed more that that. But iI digress.

As for the show. Bruce is very boring. I really don't like the show, so idk if I can answer that properly. The whole show is boring. The kid that plays Bruce most times I feel he tries too hard to be "Bruce" basically he's a kid with a stick up his ass. He's tortured, confined, he's a whim too. Tries to be strong not vulnerable. His scenes with Selina are the best part about him. For me anyway. And I've finally taking a liking to his scenes with Alfred. That's the only time I can actually enjoy him.

Selina is my favorite character. I watch for her. I watch for her and Nigma (you know him as The Riddler). As for the scene. No. Bruce was going after a lead on the attack on Alfred, he found out why Alfred was attacked, and the attacker threated Bruce saying he was going to tell his boss so Bruce can be silenced. So Bruce was going to push him out the window, but hesitated. So Selina did it for him, to protect Bruce. So now Bruce is freaking out b/c she killed the man for him, and she's pretending it doesn't bother her, even though it really does. But Selina is really tough so she's putting on a brave face.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Oh God. I hope she does soon I do not like her.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I know what version it is, that's why I said it. Yes,some can constantly say, "it wasn't him, it wasn't him" But sometimes he does go dark, he doesn't have to kill for that to happen. Just his fear alone gives that away. I could even bring up his "accidental kill" in Batman Beyond...Gray. Giving up his cape and cowl. Smh Well during your...speech. There's some things I agree with and some I just don't. So I'm gonna let you have this. He's never been my favorite DCC. So idc to keep talking about him hours on end. But i do agree that i absolutely love his villains.

  41. http://www.cracked.com/article_20111_the-6-most-brutal-murders-committed-by-batman_p2.html

Here's a link for you. Just to give you more of a description. Again different versions, but a lot of fans view Bruce as Ummm..."controversial" In other comics they've read. And I believe most of these are mentioned in the 52's. In one way or another. Again I feel his actions can be questioned on how dark he can become. Despite his morals, he's not perfect. For me I feel he tries so hard not to kill and be all moral and all that, that it increases his actions on violence. I never bought into the "as long as he doesn't kill, he's all good." Theory. That's just me. Shrugs. Anyways, here.
